A addition to the earlier post on the story from the Manchester Evening news.

Note how the bare minimum mention of his religion is recorded, with ‘Islamist’ mentioned only once, likewise Al Qaeda.

You have to love his solicitors defence that “Suleman had approached the conflict in a” journalistic way”.” Quite possibly journalistic by BBC standards !

Less appealing is the credulous nature of the judge who facilitated a lesser sentence by accepting “The judge accepted his guilty pleas to disseminating the propaganda on the basis that he had been reckless rather than encouraging terrorism.”

Some people will set aside reality in the pursuit of Political Correctness.

    BBC Sunday Morning Live
Proportion of the UK population identifying themselves as Christians will fall to 45 per cent by 2050, BBC asks UK still Christian?
while the proportion of Muslims will rise from five to eleven per cent. (then … why disproportionate Islamic coverage BBC? why Islamic head of religion BBC?)
The proportion claiming no religion will also rise significantly to 39 per cent.
BBC asks does Christianity still speak to British society? … has our national faith become diluted?
    so to find out
    … Tommy Sandhu visits Leicester”
Leicester!, … ever been to Leicester?
Could n t Mr Sandhu ask someone outside of erm … “enrichment” areas?

“Nearly a quarter of all people living in the East Midlands who were born abroad reside in Leicester, according to new study.
Not only do 24.7 per cent of the region’s foreign-born residents live in the city, but Leicester also has the highest number – 100,843.
The city also saw the largest numerical growth in the migrant population – 46,283 additional non-UK born residents – in a 10-year period.
It follows a study of the migrant population in England and Wales by Oxford University’s Migration Observatory, based on its analysis of 2011 Census figures compared with the previous Census in 2001”.

Up pops proselytising “interfaith activist” Anjem Anwar who works in “the Christian community”, who wants to warn about aggressive secularism … strangely missing from her concern is warning about aggressive Islamism, and Islamic proselytising

Sunday politics 10,000 people died from air pollution in London . Can somebody making that claim maybe show us one death certificate that says cause of death air pollution ?

      • GCooper says:

Why believe what’s scrawled on a death certificate, anyway? The medical profession is just as prone to fads and fashions as any other (look at the current crusade against sugar).

Cause of Death is an opinion and if the doctor who signs a certificate has decided alcohol (for example) is the greatest scourge of mankind, that will influence what he decides caused the death.

This is why the statistics produced as ‘evidence’ to support whatever fad doctors are going through at the moment need to be examined with great care. The figures too often represent what people wish to believe rather than something that stands up to scientific scrutiny.

Sian may have asked the Big Question, “BBC asks does Christianity still speak to British society?”

But they have already made their own mind up and appointed a Muslim to head up religious affairs programming within our 2 millennium Christian Heritage National broadcasters realm:

Just one of many very good reasons for the Government to have a really good clear out during this Licence Review.

The Mail has a cracking story about Tessa Jowell’s husband, the vile David Mills, who once again is accused of being involved in some exceptionally murky dealings.

The story also throws light on Greenpeace and its relationship with the ‘New Labour’ junta and the suppression of inconvenient reports about the dumping of toxic waste.

Toxic waste just about sums up New Labour, of course.

Which, presumably, is why the BBC’s ‘news’ website seems to have mislaid its copy of the Mail and has no knowledge of the story.

Can’t seem to find it yet, probably just an oversight.

There seem to be rather a lot of ‘oversights’ on BBC news these days.

Someone with an enquiring mind might draw conclusions.

To be fair, the Telegraph does say that the BBC has also been investigating this story, so it will be interesting to see what emerges.

This is a recent Australian production on that very subject (British institutional child abuse) and doesn’t pull any punches. Couldn’t imagine the bBC broadcasting such, its in three parts, 2 & 3 are linked to on the RHS.

bBBC ‘news’ at 2230 last night came up with a new line for the Chattanooga murders: it was the USA’s lax gun laws that meant Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez shot lots of American servicemen!

Yeah , I was wondering that , apart from a couple of Global Warming , er Climate Changes, dropped into the narration of the various reports , a weekly directive , for this show , no doubt . The Evil BBC must of searched high & low for this `Out of Africa` person , get the diversity in, there must be about 10 of those effnicks in the NE , & 9 of them are in Newcastle . You could go for weeks travelling round Northumberland ,& you would never see one . They have managed to parachute one into the `Sky at Night` & also the Antiques Roadshow as well .Must be on the orders of Sir Lenny Henry .

Looking forward to see BBC coverage of this ‘offensive’ event in London this autumn. Both sides represented in an unbiased report with interviews.
This competition for drawing an alleged prophet will not take place. Cameron and the Appeaser May will stop it.
