Worth a read especially because of the widespread support for Islamic State in Muslims communities in the UK. The fact they were allowed to run a 5 week course on redressing the view on the Islamic state and no one bothered to inform the authorities speaks volumes.

The BBC is very upset that subsidies to ‘alternative’ electricity generation is to be cut.
This is so typical of the mind-set of the metropolitan trendy liberals, who in reality only care about the poor when they are having to pay for something they themselves disagree with.

One of the notable things of BLiars government was the number of stealth taxes imposed hence the need for tax credits. The average energy bill will be £130 cheaper once the cut is implemented.

You would have thought that anyone interested in the condition of the poor would support any move which assisted them, but no because the BBC & liberal leftism is not at all interested in the poor!

So we had Humphries attacking the government minister over subsidies for Nuclear – which actually does manage to generate 24 hours a day, not just when the sun shines or the wind blows! He then accused the Tories of damaging a fledgling industry which could be important in the future.

I believe that the BBC take the same line with the TV Tax. They know poor people find it a burden, but they simply don’t care.

The next time you hear a hand wringing bleeding heart liberal carping on about the poor, just remember they aren’t talking about the poor, they’re using it as a disguise and a lever for the real issue that they don’t want to openly discuss.

I distinctly heard Justin say the words “propping up green energy”, and I thought how apt, even though he probably didn’t quite mean it in that way.

Green is permanently “propped up” – it can’t stand on its own two feet. That’s why it should be dumped, and the Climate Change Act repealed. More and more, I hear that the green drive is merely in place to “meet our climate targets”. get rid of the Act, ditch the EU, and the target disappears.

Radio 4 has been flogging a complete non story in Headline news this morning (Wednesday) A previously failed Alzheimer’s drug has been triumphed because it MAY slow down the effects of the disease in EARLY diagnosed Alzheimer patients. Wow! In any case is early diagnosis even possible !!! – by the time you have waited for your GP, your memory clinic appointment, and then your MRI scan the disease is no longer in its early stages. Wonder how much they are getting paid to promote this one!!!

    • Stuart B(eaker) says:

There’s something strange about this story indeed. Firstly, no-one is saying what the extent of the effect is likely to be, and moreover no-one is saying what percentage of the target population is likely to be assisted at all by this treatment.

Secondly, this drug appears to be a monoclonal antibody (hence the ‘MAB’ in the name). I am unaware of any remotely validated theory about Alzheimer’s which would suggest this type of biological mechanism is central. Please disabuse me, someone. Otherwise, this seems to be pure trawling on the part of the manufacturer – ‘we have a drug, let’s shower all the potentially high-return diseases of any kind whatever, in the hope that it will have some effect on one of them’.

I listened to Thought for Today yesterday morning and this morning. I don’t usually bother but it struck me why so much attention to Islam? Yesterday a Rabbi pointing out the basic similarities between Muslim and Jewish faith, oh how happily they identify with each other. Today the muslim woman from Edinburgh made me laugh talking about adultery and the hacking of the adultery web site. I listening carfuully for any reference to Muslim treatment of adultery but only heard how wonderful marriage is in that outfit – men and women fitting each other like garments. Wot! Nothing about stoning?

Yeah, strange that so much of the msm ran with that story, when this one was almost certainly worthy of much more attention:

Anonymous targets IS sympathisers on Twitter

Hacktivist group Anonymous is ramping up efforts to tackle sympathisers of the Islamic State group on Twitter. It has published a list of Twitter accounts it claims are spreading propaganda in support of the group. Some accounts have been flooded with images of Japanese anime characters to try to influence search engine results for phrases connected to IS. Many other accounts have been suspended or shut down as a result of the group’s actions.

As well as targeting Twitter accounts, the operation also sought to take down Facebook pages, blogs, websites and web proxies used by supposed IS supporters. The publication of the list is the latest in a series of “operations” by Anonymous and others hacktivist organisations against the IS group and its online supporters. The list of more than 750 Twitter accounts that Anonymous has taken action against was published on the Pastebin website. Top of the list were accounts that had more than 10,000 followers, it said, but many others with smaller numbers of readers were also targeted.

Anonymous finally discovers a way to make itself useful. Took a while, but it got there in the end.

    Accidents will happen

BBC tv news reaches for their book of days and is keen to tell us it is a now a decade since the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes

‘Jean Charles’s family has taken a case to the European Court of Human Rights in an attempt to see someone prosecuted.’

The BBC on line report has this to add:

‘His cousin, Alex Pereira, says Jean Charles convinced him to go to England in search of a better future. ‘

[Yeah, heard that many times, ‘better future’, ‘better life’ that’s usual BBC phrasing to describe the motivation of either legal or illegal migrants]

‘”We didn’t want to live in Britain forever, but only to earn enough money to go back to Brazil and have a decent life.”‘

[Stop there a moment. This is a new slant on migrant motivations and relative economic benefits accruing to the host nation. I’ll make a mental note for next time some left-leaning research pops up on the BBC. Did the BBC intend for this message to slip out? Frankly I am amazed at how little real testimony from migrants appears in our media. Consider: undocumented illegal immigrant sends home or saves most of his meagre earnings. Undocumented he is unlikely to pay taxes. Aside from cheap labour for his dodgy employer or ‘gangmaster’ where is the benefit to the UK? He falls sick – the NHS prefers to ask no questions. He’s tempted to earn a little more by crime – he has no particular feeling of community with the host nation and he’s already illegal, so why not break the law? Hardly anything of the real economic motivations or circumstances of migrants are ever heard, save for being filtered through jounalistic cliche and bleeding heart commentary. I wonder why this is? Accidents will happen.]

BBC in full damage-limitation mode as ‘shock’ Labour Leadership poll results reveal socialist zealot Jeremy Corbyn appears to be leading the race by a country mile amongst Labour activists.

Clearly, this will not do. Last night’s Newsnight saw Kirsty Squawk and Allegra Stratton barely able to contain their fear and apoplexy at news of Corbyn’s ‘unexpected’ poll results. Just like the recent General Election results, which saw the BBC’s beloved Labour Party banished to the hinterland for the next five years, they now fear that Labour supporters will do the indecent thing and actually try and elect a true socialist as the new Labour Leader.

Usefully, they had a centre left Labour drone on hand to explain that members voting for Corbyn ‘needed their heads examined’ and that a vote for comrade Corbyn was ‘suicidal’.

Newsnight is never funnier, never more entertaining, than when it involves the BBC and Labour morons each falling over themselves to grasp the true realities of a situation – be it the Labour Leadership pantomime, or the total and complete failure of ‘multiculturalism’ in this country, or the rise and rise of Islamic State.

Comedy gold. Probably the one thing the BBC does better than any of them.

And in that piece is contained an innocuous statement which some believes actually proves Islam to be a false & man made religion.

“Dr Waley says that under the third caliph, Uthman ibn Affan, copies of the “definitive edition” were distributed.”

To produce the “definitive edition” Uthman had to destroy all the Qur’ans which were different to the one he decided was ‘definitive’.
Muslims rely on the fact that there is only one Qur’an, which is the very word of God, however historical evidence proves that there were many.
One of the oldest copies of the Qur’an is in the Topkapi Museum in Turkey, it is never shown because it is different to the current version of the Qur’an.
Worse still is the Arabic script of verses around the dome of the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem which again are different to the current Qur’an.

Please note that this article avoids saying which verse of the Qur’an it contains, or what it actually says. I believe that there is a reason for that, and that it is again different to todays Qur’an.

In other words she was smart enough to realise that Mo’s ‘revelations’ conveniently matched his lust for sex with other women; he just made it up to suit the moment.

Must? Either they are the same or they aren’t, just because Islamic doctrine says the Koran is unalterable doesn’t mean it hasn’t been altered. Or maybe the script is so early that the researchers can’t read it? More settled science, (we know what we want to find so we bend the reality to suit).

Just another small example of ingrained BBC leftist PC bias. I now seldom watch BBC documentary programmes because they are so biased to the left’s world view, however, I made an exception and watched the first episode of one about the WI. Surely this was safe form the racist bandwagon I thought. But yet again I was wrong, there is no corner of the planet or human thought that is free from the BBC Witchfinding on racism.
Some letters were read out written about children who were evacuated in 1940 from cities to the country and billeted with WI members. The WI members commented that the children were dirty, verminous, carriers of disease and a bad influence on local kids. The presenter of the programme, Ms Worsley , commented that the language used was exactly similar to that used today by far right racist loonies to describe immigrants ! Why would you wish to draw such a parallel on a programme about the WI? It can only be because the presenter, producer and researchers believe that this is what the audience should hear ie that any opportunity, no matter how contrived, must be taken to ram home that anti racist message in an attempt to brain wash the British people into believing that unless they lie down and accept immigrants with no reservations, no matter how unpleasant and alien those immigrants are, they are RACISTS.

I understand that the lefties at the time blamed it on poverty. Now they blame obesity on poverty, but not those who point out the existence of obesity as racists, unless the fat person is black.

But I don’t think Ms Worsley does or would ever agree to give accommodation to an immigrant, especially to any of those dirty, verminous asylum seekers that get into England on the back of a lorry. Because I would put my money on her, like all lefties, being exposed as a hypocrites, when put under analysis.

Even when you find out that these BBC lefties live in a nice leafy Tory area, they then say that they are not like the locals, who are racist nimby’s. The BBC lefty then says they would love thousands of houses to be built, and for the immigrants to come and live in the village. Presumably because the BBC leftie is then planning to move home to some even more nicer UKIP area.

Regardless of what one thinks of the religion or some of its followers, this is an important historical find if genuine. For better or worst – and unfortunately the latter is often in evidence – this is a document that motivates a sizeable proportion of the human race. But as UK Enrichment News correctly points out, the BBC’s treatment is way over the top. The article is riddled with words such as ‘could’, ‘might’ and ‘may’. The antiquity of the document does not in any sense prove its validity. Note the use of the absurd phrase: “The opening words were revealed by the angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad in 610”, as though this was proven fact. It would be more correct to say “Muslims believe that the opening words were revealed by the Angel Gabriel to their Prophet Muhammad in 610 AD“.

The Qur’an does not mention praying 5 times a day at all – it actually says 3 times a day. There is the Dawn prayer (Fajr), the Night prayer (Isha) and the Mid-day prayer (Wusta). The practice of praying 5 times a day is a later tradition, possibly inherited from non-Islamic custom in Persia. Five prayers may be near universal practice for Muslims, but two of them are not named in the Qur’an itself, only in the Hadith (later commentaries and interpretations). Oddly, when an ‘Asian’ man wraps himself in the flag of a proven group of far Right fascists, murderers, criminals, thugs, rapists and kidnappers known as Islamic State and parades about in broad daylight in front of Parliament even the coppers struggle to bat an eyelid.

      • Ian Rushlow says:

At the time of independence India was the 8th most industrialised nation in the World. Whilst India’s share of World trade may have shrunk during the course of the British presence, overall World trade grew more than tenfold during that period. The trade was so one-sided (in India’s favour) that this country almost ran out of the silver needed to pay for it during the 18th Century. The massive levels of British investment in India during the 19th Century starved this country of investment after the industrial revolution and allowed our competitors – notably Germany and the USA – to catch up and eventually surpass us.

Other than in the final few years of WW2 when Allied soldiers were stationed there, the entire European presence in India never exceeded 150,000. Think about that: more Indians live in West London than Britons lived in the entire sub-continent. Alternatively, there was only 1 Brit to every 2,000 Indians.

The fact of the matter is that the Indian Empire was a joint venture between the two countries, one in which Britain had the upper hand but the Indians were enthusiastic collaborators. That’s the historical reality and there is no need for shame or guilt.

BBC radio 4 ran a play about a left wing fantasy where a poor white man was reduced to being the house servant to a family of Pakistanis.

This is the vision they have for us – but not for themselves of course!
