The Now Show…Not The Yesterday Show

Huge Penis and the little Jeremy Hunt fronted the Now Show with the usual litany of lefty laughs…so-called.

Why did a ‘comedy’ programme bring on a left wing polemicist from lefty Der Spiegel to talk about Brexit?  What did we hear?  ‘What the hell are you thinking!?’  Apparently it is all too mad to contemplate Brexit….oh and any anti-EU opinion in Germany is the government’s fault not the EU’s.

We heard that it is barking mad for George Osborne to keep blaming Labour and poor old Gordon Brown for the state of the economy…after all that was all of 6 years ago.  This from the BBC that blames Thatcher for the 2008 crash…and Mark Easton who blames Thatcher for some people being sad and depressed oop north.

Gordon Brown was not, not you understand, in any way responsible for the crash…it was all the American’s fault.  Apart from the British bank RBS which went belly up for handing out too many subprime mortgages under Brown’s regulatory eye…the same Brown who ruined Lloyds and HBOS…

Gordon Brown broke Lloyds, and it should break him

The disaster of Lloyds-HBOS could cost us £130 bn. So how come it isn’t a bigger deal, asks Iain Martin

The same Gordon Brown who wanted a light touch, risk based financial sector that would provide a golden age of banking….and at the same time end boom and bust….how’d that work out then?

The same Brown who went on a spending spree and lumped us with excruciatingly expensive PFI funded, or not so funded, hospitals and schools.

Comedy or just propaganda when based upon a lie?  A lie that of course feeds into Labour’s own propaganda and the idea that they didn’t win the election because they didn’t squash the ‘lie’ that they were to blame for the Crash…looks like the BBC is working to set that right and provide a sound basis for Corbyn to set out his stall at the next election.

    This a regular thing then?
I heard something similar over the last few weeks when “the laughing must stop” and we get some political quizzing of some hipster expert from Goldsmiths or Brunel Poly.
Thing is-it`s no longer funny either side of the comedy desert on a Friday evening.
Stopped being so with Blairs third election in 2005-or maybe it was me that saw the light after Mandelson became an EU Commissar and not a prisoner at the time.

Interesting this was posted as it reflects exactly what I was thinking!
I just said to my wife yesterday Saturday morning after the “Now Show” (her female, me male by the way) that BBC “comedy” has seriously degenerated in the last year. Some £250K pa controller is clearly pushing their pathetic unfunny (but right-on) agenda…

I find it difficult to decide which is worse, The Now Show or The News Quiz. Both are unfunny & full of feeble jibes at non-left political viewpoints.

How can we get these party political broadcasts on behalf of the marxist & loony left parties removed from the airwaves of a supposedly neutral broadcaster that we are forced to finance?

The problem for these comedy programs is the immature lefty wing slant.

If you can say the name Osborne and your peers sneer you can perform on the Now show. But surely even BBC producers must realise that, with the demise of the Indie and slashing of readers at the Guardian, that this approach entertains just a few middle class folk.

I wonder if what irritates us most of all, is the fact that the ‘soft left’ cannot laugh at themselves. Is there really no comedic mileage in :

Over paid lovies who don’t live in this country inviting boat loads of people to live here?

For those who use the US health service lecturing the rest of us about how wonderful it is to die on a trolley in an NHS hospital?

For those in the labour party to eulogise about comprehensive schools whilst driving their kids half way across London so that their own Isoldes and Tristrams don’t have to suffer in state schools?

For well paid comics to salt away their money in barely legal tax avoidance schemes and make jokes about Amazon or Google doing the same?

For those who squeal about hate crimes to avoid referencing what took place outside the conservative party conference?

So there we have it, the reason these shows just aren’t funny is that they cannot see 50% of the satirical events taking place in the UK ‘cos they happen under their noses.

“This from the BBC that blames Thatcher for the 2008 crash…and Mark Easton who blames Thatcher for some people being sad and depressed oop north.”

Let’s elaborate on this point. Whenever there’s a problem with the railways, it’s all down to Thatcher’s program of privatisation. Shortage of housing? Thatcher’s ‘right-to-buy’. The demise of coal mining and steel production? Thatcher again!

How many years ago? How many years would it have taken Blair’s New Labour to reverse all of this?

How many times did we hear Labour politicians blaming ‘the last Conservative government’ in all of their 13 years in power for their own failures. Where were the “comedians” then when we wanted them?

As a society we’re being brainwashed into allegiance with the status quo. The people who are doing the brainwashing benefit from the status quo and are out to convince us all that the status quo is the best option for ALL of us.

    But it isn’t.

Comedians who get a gig on the BBC will always be in favour of increased BBC funding, just as talented footballers will always defend inflated Sky Sports subscriptions.

I hope the majority of British people realise that they should vote AGAINST anything career politicians try to convince us to vote FOR.

Not just the programs listed. Watch The Last Leg, Gogglebox, or any so called sit coms. Unmitigated left wing nonsense. On second thoughts don’t … I don’t want to be responsible for boosting their viewing figures !! As for the vile, toxic, sneering, ignorant James O’Brian on LBC radio ….
