Do any of the BBC’s Journo’s that get the plum job of reporting from the good ole US of A actually like America? It seems doubtful.
Katty Kay certainly has some reservations and Donald Trump is the lightning rod that draws her wrath. Here she is slagging off the Trump and his supporters and declaiming their dislike for Clinton…all without a single mention of the siege that Clinton’s lefty stormtroopers lay to any Trump appearance, not to mention the attempt to kill Trump…made by a Brit who no doubt overdosed on BBC anti-Trump ‘journalism’ that paints him as the Devil.
I’ve never heard a speaker booed on the stage or a party this beset by internal strife or a wing of a party drag the rest out to the fringes of political respectability. It’s stunning and begs the question: Are we watching the death throes of the Republican Party?
Many people around the world may be surprised that the most vocal challenge to Donald Trump comes not from the American political centre but from the right of the Republican Party…….Ted Cruz. {Yep I guess all those violent anti-Trump demos just passed Katty by….and limiting this to ‘vocal challenges’ of course misses out the one where someone tried to shoot Trump].
In some ways the delegates at this convention seem to have gone beyond even Mr Trump on politically extreme rhetoric.
The subject of their ire is Hillary Clinton.
I honestly don’t know if it’s because Mrs Clinton is a woman. It may be because she’s been around as a political figure for so long or because her email server makes her look like she thinks she’s above the law but the hatred of her here is vicious and visceral. This has become the “lock her up” convention. Ask individual delegates about Mrs Clinton and they get a glint in their eye – she’s “evil”, a “liar”, “dangerous.”
They really, really hate her. On that they can agree.
Oh yes..not once but twice in the article we heard that Trump and his crowd are ‘on the fringes of political acceptance/respectibility’
‘A crowd that was willing to be pulled into the fringes of political acceptability.’
‘A wing of a party drag the rest out to the fringes of political respectability.’
And the end of the Republican Party? Analysis or complete overheated bunkum…and she seems to have totally forgotten the Tea Party…once the object of so much BBC ire….it was apparently the future once…and yet the Republican Party is still standing.
I suppose all this Democratic Party internal strife just passes the Katty one by…

Vote Trump
Good old Marine Le Pens niece says it well.
And all we get by comparison in the UK is the appalling Mairead Black of the SNP as “OUR” youngest ever MP!
And-as Le Pen tells her truths in yesterdays Telegraph-all out liberal shill Mary Riddell can ask is
“Is this woman the most dangerous woman in Europe”
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/07/23/national-front-mp-either-we-kill-islamism-or-it-will-kill-us/
Maybe the most ENDANGERED woman Mary, you scuzzball…but, should anything happen to her…to Trump…to Farage or Wilders-the likes of Riddell won`t mind at all.
No-Jess Phillips, Mairead Black, Sturgeon or Soubry, Harman and Lucas are FAR more dangerous to US…they bring Islam in on their pixie boots or Doc Martens…and Riddell thinks dangerous all those who warn of the wide open doors that she craves for her living.
Despicable-but the Telegraph and the BBC are one and the same at certain levels aren`t they?

What has become of the DT? Like all good institutions, formed by Christians, it has been infiltrated by Leftist atheists.

NCBBC,
It has gone downhill for years now. No longer a serious paper, but then there are no serious newspapers in the UK now. As for Leftist aethists. I don’t know. They still have Charles Moore and Christopher Howse !

Can only guess that the mighty Charles Moore is on holiday this weekend.
JanetDaley seems a bit eggy at the moment, which would worry me seeing she`s normally a good barometer…she wants Clinton in. Probably correctly in some ways I don`t fathom yet.
Christopher Booker generally very good, but has his glitches…but always worth a read.
And-rubbish though the Telegraph is at times-we still owe it for crashing all those troughing MP in 2009.
Benedict Brogan and Heather Brooke managed to get Mick Martin out of his Speakers Chair.
And though Bercow`s a crap joke-he is STILL an improvement on Michael Martin…quiet the worst kind of trougher this side of Brussels in my times…and, yes that includes Prescott too.

cH,
Fair comments, all.

A few years ago, Mary Riddell, when writing her articles for the telegraph, always seemed completely at odds with what was then a Tory newspaper.
Now, she fits in very well at the telegraph.
She hasn’t changed.
Marine’s niece, Marion, is absolutely gorgeous.
As well as having a great sense of humour, us UKIP/Brexit types are better looking.

Mary Riddell’s absurd leftism always used to get killed in the comments. That may be one of the reasons the pathetic management at the Telegraph got rid of comments: they allowed readers to see that other readers shared their views about the Telegraph’s mad decline into soft leftism. Its editor did not even have the guts to take a line on Brexit.
Now they have axed Geoff Howell’s excellent column of tips on home maintenance. Why get rid of that? Does he support Brexit?
There are a few columnists still worth reading, such as Booker, Robin Page or Honest John in the motoring section, but the paper is sinking fast. Why don’t the weirdo Barclay twins just sell it while they still can?

Why does al Beeb waste our money sending ignorant Brits to “report” on the US? There are hundreds of excellent more knowledgeable American journalists who know a bit more about their own country than the current crop of biased beeboid propagandists. The only British Broadcaster of any merit who worked in America was Alistair Cooke, and he loved the place so much he became a citizen. Oh well, there is always that New York born citizen, a one Boris Johnson, should he decide to go back to biased journalism!

Yes, Alistair Cooke was a fine, knowledgeable journalist who really knew how to write. Compare him to Justin Webb’s pathetic contributions as North America ‘Editor’ as a good measure of the decline of the BBC.

On the fringes of political acceptance/respectibility is actually a compliment.
David Vance of course never even made the fringe.

What`s the point of THAT?
He`s” not here to defend himself”…which is normally the Lefty cop-out to avoid any difficulties.
Why don`t you stick to your lefty rules Kiki?
You my Japanese boy( you can`t be, a lack of honour in your words) are “beyond the fringe”.
And even less funny that Jonathan Miller-he`s a pompous , self regarding arse as well.
You`d like him,,,but he`d not like you I fear…and nor do we.
Syanana…!

Are we watching the death throes of the Republican Party?
Ignorant lefty wishful thinking masquerading as journalism.
In fact, Trump has been an extraordinary unifying force for the GOP.
Mitt Romney, who conducted a vicious smear campaign against Trump during the primaries, is irrelevant and so is John Kasich, who only managed to win his home state. These two won’t endorse Trump? Big deal.
And Ted Cruz arguably only damaged his own prospects with his mean-spirited refusal to endorse Trump at the convention – even though he had pledged to endorse whoever won the nomination months ago. Cruz did get a lot of support during the primaries but how many of his supporters will follow his lead and help Clinton?
“Death throes?” Katty Kay should rather turn her limited attention to the Democrats, who are in much more trouble given that Sanders won 46% of the primary votes. In stark contrast to Cruz, Sanders did endorse Clinton but how many of that 46% will nevertheless turn away from Clinton?
And there must surely be some Democrat voters who are disgusted by Clinton’s lying and lining of her pockets at the expense of the American people.
