Mid-Week Open Thread

Is it Friday that 5Live is inviting you to confess your sins and to recant? You voted Brexit but you now realise the error of your ways [having been wisely guided by the new priesthood of the BBC] and you wish to wash away those sins and vote again and again and again…until the the Good Lord Juncker is pleased with what he sees.

Perhaps we better save a bit of space on the open thread for that one…

The bBBC, as usual, disguises the number of Muslim rapists by treating each case as ‘local news’. Another five of them, trafficking young girls, hidden away under ‘Coventry & Warwickshire’: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-38396427

Yes, this was mentioned on the R4 news … you’ve guessed it, 5 “men”. No further description or link to similar crimes. This issue (the burial of news about Muslim rape gangs) on it’s own exposes the BBC’s role as a propagandist organisation.

We don’t call them Al Beeb, or Al Beebistan for nothing.
On the biased BBC1 1 pm national news we have these stories.

1.Berlin terrorist shot dead in Italy
    2. News from Aleppo
    3. Someone is found guilty of using the aid convoys to Syria to get finance through to the jihadists.

So how about a nice British story.
Yes, the bBBC delivers with an item about affordable housing……..prominently featuring a panorama of a development area …….with…..errr……..two hijab wearing Muslim women prominently walking across the front of shot.

Yes, bBBC news now appears to have eliminated all anglo saxon content altogether.

I’ve been out all day but got home and checked the BBC News website and the top 3 stories are…
    1. Berlin attacker Anis Amri killed in Milan (i.e. Muslim terrorist)
    2. Libya Malta hijack: Hijackers arrested (i.e. Muslim hijackers)
    3. Syria aid convoys: Two guilty over terror funding (i.e. more Muslims misbehaving)

I don’t agree with any other the 3 crimes above but I am going to reach out and try and connect with these Muslims as “Hope not Hate” is the right way forward – as Brendan Cox tells us to do.

If you are interested in the real amounts of green energy being produced, I recommend this site.
      http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/index.php
Watch the wind-sourced supply fluctuate alarmingly; today it is 17%, two days ago it was 2%.
It doesn’t unfortunately give the solar energy output as a lot is not exported to the grid.
Interestingly (for me anyway) the French grid is also analysed. The French produce more than enough nuclear energy to supply all of Britain’s needs.

      • ToobiWan says:

One of the reasons wind seems higher today, SM because the demand is lower (granted, also windier than last week) than it was when I checked last week. At the time, the UK demand was almost 50GW, yet wind was supplying less than 2% of this loading. What should be of concern is the lack of reserve, since the closure of those nasty coal burners, should anything go wrong with any of our current (pardon the pun) power stations or a prolonged cold spell with an accompanying anticyclone over the UK.

      • Beltane says:

Wind-generated power will naturally fluctuate, that’s a given. What won’t fluctuate, and what is left out of all too many calculations on the cost effectiveness of green energy, is the actual erected price of each turbine at around £2.5m. Factor in maintenance – with marine installation costs appreciably higher, involving regular deep-diver checks, quite apart from increased corrosion – and the overall costs are immense. And then there are the annoying matters of functionality and replacement over a 10-20 year cycle…
‘Free as the wind’? Now there’s a non sequitur to savour.

        • ToobiWan says:

Another overlooked cost to the environment, B, is where these eyesores are sited. The majority of onshore sites are on the high moors, usually covered in peat moss. It’s not just the thousands of tons of concrete needed to anchor the things in the first place, destroying the moss and altering drainage patterns, leading to erosion but the access roads needed to maintain the installations as well. Local birdlife is not too enamoured with them either. As to their generation abilities, they seem to do a good job of generating subsidies for those whose land they pollute.

          • Up2snuff says:

Then there’s the energy used and warming of the concrete manufacture, the concrete mixing also releases heat and the visits by fossil fuel burning vehicles, heretofore, for maintenance on site.

It is worse at sea. Apparently marine engines are the worst polluters of all the i/c engines although I gather that steps are being taken, belatedly, to clean them up. Unfortunately, they cannot always ship operatives, tools, components and materials to site and switch off the engines. They often need to remain ‘underway’ to keep control of the installation vessels or to keep sufficient electrical generation for lighting and tools.

Dong’s windfarm is serviced from it’s HELICOPTER base at Grimsby, cos they don’t produce much CO2 ! ha ha !

There is a reason why the gov/industry doesn’t produce proper COST/BENEFIT analyses for what windfarms do for CO2.
But for other gov projects cost/benefit analyses is a standard reqt.

          @Beltane ” each turbine at around £2.5m”
(Cockney accent) I’ll tell you what gov, I’ll get the UK government to cut you a deal :
          – For free we’ll throw in all the extra transmission cabling to get your electricity to the network (even from the top corner of Scotland).
          – We’ll guarantee that you get first priority: when you produce electricity we’ll buy it and make other power stations turn down.
And when you stop we’ll demand they fire up instantly.
          – Yet when you have stopped and the wind picks up we won’t charge you for the electricity it takes o begin spinning.
          – And when it’s too windy we’ll ask you to turn off and still pay you as if you were still supplying.
          – And to cap it all we’ll guarantee you a Feed In Tariff of 3 times what it costs to generate electricity with coal.
.. And we’ll hide all these extra costs within Grannies electricity bills, and in higher bills in anything she or her taxes buy cos of the electricity component within them.
…Hows that sound .? We’ll you make a donation to one of the 6 main pseudo-green parties the UK has ?

Two UK men have been convicted of using Syria aid convoys to funnel cash to extremists in the war zone.

The Muslim community-led convoys became unwitting vehicles for the plan to fund terrorism, the Old Bailey heard

Syed Hoque, 37, of Stoke-on-Trent, and Mashoud Miah, 27, of east London, were both convicted of funding terrorism.

I can clearly remember myself and others accusing those running these convoys of aiding the ISIS Muslims in Syria at the time, and being called every one of the usual meaningless bully words.

I even got banned (and still am) from the Manchester Evening News when I pointed out Alan Henning was making the ISIS sign. It now turns out that the people he was stupid enough to help almost certainly gave him over to be killed.

At the time in a particularly stomach turning Taqqieah speech the third defendant, Pervez Rafiq, made a high-profile appeal directly to IS for mercy. It was all lies.

Many of us said at the time that the Pakis turned Henning over but again we were howled down by the Fascist Left who wouldn’t hear a word said against their brown eyed boys.

Well it turns out that those of us brave enough to make those allegations have been fully vindicated we were right all along, and the Fascists were wrong.

Will we hear an apology from them? Don’t be silly, they will claim they cannot remember, it was someone else, or that it never happened.
But we all remember and I for one will be reminding them the next time something like this happens and they start throwing the meaningless bully words around !

I have just been watching a “special” on the Berlin atrocity by one of the German BBCs. No visible discomfort at a complete volte-face from Willkommenskultur cheerleading to asking “serious questions” about German border security whilst gurning seriously in a serious voice. Equally serious looking CSU politician mouthing serious platitudes in a serious tone. The last thing we want, of course, is “simplistic solutions to complex problems” as offered by those nasty populists.
They even came up with official statistics that the number of Gefährder (potential violent terrorists) had doubled to 513? since the outbreak of war in Syria. Maybe the real difficulty is not finding solutions to problems but shaking yourself out of your catatonic complacency and realising a problem exists in the first place.
At least they offered a German media first – a relative of a victim of a Muslim atrocity who was not lighting candles or blubbing “I will not let hate rob me of my humanity”. He seemed quite pissed off and said “I will never vote for Merkel again”
At least that would be a very modest start.
Even the German BBCs have now fallen silent on the joys of an “open, outward facing Europe”. The post-atrocity European Grand Tour of the perpetrator has made a complete laughing stock of the German authorities.

Dear BBC, especially Gary Lineker: Anis Amri, the man who murdered and injured people by driving a truck over them, first entered Europe pretending to be a child refugee.

As a Salafist, his first reward to the people of Italy was to help cause a violent riot, set fire to buildings and steal. Eventually they put him in prison for 4 years. For some reason the Tunisians didn’t want the thug repatriated, so he accepted Merkle’s kind invitation to Germany.

He used at least six different aliases, posed as a citizen of Syria, Egypt and Lebanon. He attempted to recruit participants for a terrorist attack and once tried to buy a pistol from an undercover police officer. He had been overheard, by the German intelligence, offering to carry out a suicide attack, but the German authorities decided to not arrest him. In Germany he was involved in a bar brawl and drug dealing, later he was involved in a knife attack over drugs in July 2016 and disappeared after police tried to question him.

Would the BBC and Gary care to apologise to the people of the UK for daring to suggest that some Islamic thugs maybe entering Europe to murder us whilst pretending, to the gullible, that they are minors.

“The United Nations Security Council has passed a resolution urging an end to illegal Israeli settlements after the US refused to veto it.
The Egyptian-drafted resolution had been withdrawn after Israel asked Donald Trump to intervene but it was proposed again by Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal and Venezuela. The US has traditionally sheltered Israel from condemnatory resolutions.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said he would not abide by the vote.
The Palestinian leadership welcomed the resolution, which was passed by 14 votes to zero, with one abstention. President-elect Trump, who will be inaugurated on 20 January, tweeted after the vote: “As to the UN, things will be different after Jan. 20th.”

The majority of the American people have related to the Jewish people over the years, they have a cultural connection, they wished for the State’s success (survival) and have felt no threat from them, Pres Elect Trump is that voice, why can t the world largest newscaster, check facts?
Israeli settlements on the West Bank are disputed, NOT illegal. … The West Bank, taken by Israel in 1967 in a war of self-defence, is occupied territory. It also is, as the authors of the relevant U.N. Security Council Resolution, 242, noted, disputed territory. Sovereignty over it remains to be negotiated. Obama often gets mistaken for being an idiot and being niave in his policies regarding the middle east… I don`t think he is such, I now honestly belive that he knows exactly what he is doing when he makes decisions which will create destablisation of the entire middle east…. from what i`ve seen, his original plan was along with the emboldened EU to first annexe the Ukraine along with Crimea and instigate regime change in Syria whilst distancing the US from Israel who have been a reliable and trusted ally of the Western powers and also NATO too…. He tried to get rid of Assad so that he could be replaced by a regime which would not be tied to Russia, his Iranian deal was intented as a diversion, creating a possible threat to Russia on thier own doorstep… For half a century the balance in the region was held by a pro Russian Syrian regime and a Pro Western Israel countering it…. Obamas actions have created a power vaccuum in much of the region and there is no way it isn`t intentional…. The last two years especially have been the worst, and actions against Israel like this one by the UN with his refusal to Veto it show nothing but contempt and spite towards the Israelis and leave a quagmire of foriegn policies whyich will need reversing as soon as possible before Trump can get settled into the Whitehouse… it is not only him that is responsible for the situation, it is his entire administration, and also the oppositions for being too focused on internal politics…. Obama knew exactly what would happen when he meddled in the region and also what implications the Iran deal has for the future… He is worse than Nixon… John Kerry is of the same ilk as is Clinton… All of them have pocketed `gifts` and `donations` from Arab League Countries and deliberately provoked the Russians and emboldened Islamism by taking sides in thier internal conflicts… Obama in my opinion has been a malevolent influence who has acted vindictively whenever he doesn`t get his own way… He knows exactly what he is doing, I do wonder why nobody in the US isn`t stopping it….

In time, the BBC will kill all but a couple of newspapers with its ‘free’ news websites and will have nothing to review – except the Daily Mail and the Sun!

Weather no different from usual for this time of year. I know the west coast was worse , but again that is quite normal.

Yes, I agree very little. Well, they will be the first to have their heads removed from their bodies of that we can certain. Islam will want to squash any defence and to terrify the populace is by far the best way and as has been the case over centuries. Anyway talk is cheap, so we shall see what takes place in 2017.

    Why UN Vote matters?

A final stab in the back from Buraq Obama strangely, the Al BBC seems so elated, you know over half the US population believe Buraq is Muslim.
All I ll add to that is … if he was, would he do anything differently?
In every situation he has backed the Islamists, whilst simultaneously hampering the ability of strategic departments to combat the affects, even throwing his own ambassador, military men under the bus in the most underhand despicable fashion.
Where was his support for persecuted Jews and Christian? … Cosying up to Iran???

Israel is OUR canary in the coalmine, the Islamic van and lorry terror we have now,
these “lone wolf” attacks have all been honed on Israel s frontline. We owe our gratitude for their surveillance technology
… Obama is a duplicitous snake of the highest order, he has made our world much MUCH, more dangerous, just go and good riddance .

    I ll repeat this

The majority of the American people have related to the Jewish people over the years, they have a cultural connection, they wished for the State’s success (survival) and have felt no threat from them, Pres Elect Trump is that voice, why can t the world largest newscaster, check facts?
Israeli settlements on the West Bank are disputed, NOT illegal. … The West Bank, taken by Israel in 1967 in a war of self-defence, is occupied territory. It also is, as the authors of the relevant U.N. Security Council Resolution, 242, noted, disputed territory. Sovereignty over it remains to be negotiated. Jerusalem is the ancient capital of Israel what part of that does the BBC not understand. As for the the kangaroo court?, it can say what it wants, its a hijacked entity.
