I love all the wailing and whinging about the nhs……..It does feel as though it is very lazy journalism as no one seems to be able to offer a solution whereas usually the bbbc excel at telling people what they should do, vote and think……. I don’t suppose it would help to STOP ALL THE FREE FUCKING IMMIGRATION, would it?

PR not News ? Probably cos the guys only ever given £1.2m from his £80m fortune at William Cook Engineering parts.
Said one of his factories “entirely dependent” on access. So what ? You’ll still be able to sell to EU on good terms after Brexit.

    pg3 News-vertorial for Church camping CHAMPING.CO.UK
Rich people can pay at least £19 each to camp in selected churches.

(Why aren’t churches opening at night for homeless to sleep in? Isn’t that churches duty instead of leaving churches empty and then someone stealing the roof ?)

pg9 Laura K was biased against Our Dear Corbyn official BBC *provisional* report says, which was accidentally leaked to the Herald.
All 4 previous reports have found LK acted OK but this one from Trust’s Editorial Standards Committee says she took words which JC had said about UK police and “shoot to kill” and played then in a seg talking about whether police could shoot Bataclan terrorists to free hostages.

pg24 You guys must have got to Giles Coren cos today’s page is an about turn from usual Leftyism ; its a biting critique of Femi-Nazi January Jones

Just watched Corbyn being interviewed on BBC 24 in relation to the NHS and the shortage of GP’s and Hospital Consultants. He played the lack of Conservative ‘Social Justice’ card.
It takes roughly 10 years on average to train a GP and 14 to train a hospital doctor.
    https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/about/faqs/faqs-doctors
So, to now have a shortage of both means that, (counting my fingers here), for enough GP’s now, their training should have started in, roughly, 2006 and 2002 respectively. Let’s damn well write to someone in the Government about this and get a campaign going. Oh! Hang on though, surely it was Labour in Government then? of which Corbyn was a part? and surely it was Blair that promoted the influx of millions of people to the UK just to add to the problem today. No doubt with the complete and absolute support of? guess who – Corbyn………

And also very much to the point, it was Bliar who allowed GPs to abandon their patients during evenings and weekends – with the direct impact on A&E departments that is making the current crisis so much worse.

The BBC is stunningly silent about this.

The next time some hypocrite from the Red Cross or the BBC mentions a crisis in the NHS due to the cutz, just refer them to this job advert for an Assistant Director of Equality and Diversity at Central Manchester Hospitals. The leech who gets the job will only receive up to £57,640 pa (+ the usual benefits): and this is the Assistant Director!

    BBC Online News:

“”The Donald Trump tweets that say so much and reveal so little””
    By James Naughtie

“”It is as if the campaign is still going on””

“”The implication, of course, is that he does know what he is going to do. The trouble with his Twitter account is that it makes you wonder””

“”No president-elect in modern times has said so much and revealed so little””

“”So the first great test for the Trump White House team is surely getting his finger off that keyboard””

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38534308

The BBC in meltdown. Trump refuses to deal directly with them, such is his contempt for their bias against him. They know it but can’t cope.

    Deep joy….

And the world will be a safer place.

We have the Trump/May ‘get together’ coming up shortly. Will May take a written apology from the BBC to hand deliver?

I said it more than just a few months ago, and it has not ceased, so I guess it bears repeating.

I have noticed that, despite the plethora of reports and announcements from NHS advocates and activists – any number of ‘Royal Colleges’ (i.e. Unions); Trusts (e.g. Nuffield and King’s); various other organisations such as the one on the Today programme this morning ‘The Society for Acute Medicine’ (which turns out to be another terminology for a union); and charities like the Red Cross; there never seems to be a day these past few months without one of these organisations presenting a position, and naturally being offered a highlight spot on the BBC – which never mentions the affiliations or the union activities of any of these wonderful organisations – but gives them free rein to complain as much as they like about the current government and lack of funding.

Far be it from me to point out that social care is provided by local authorities – and it is to them that complaints should be addressed when bed-blocking occurs; NHS budgets are the domain and clear responsibility of Chief Executives and Chief Financial Officers within the NHS – and they’re being paid a packet to deliver – which they aren’t !; Hospital costs(as has been mentioned on this blog) are being over-run by PFI/PPP initiatives – and will be for decades to come, because of the hubris of a certain pair of PMs – namely Gordon Brown and Tony Blair….I could go easily go on…..but somehow, without proffering any other concrete plan than stuffing money at the NHS in the vain hope that it will be properly managed, and the problems will magically disappear….these bodies contribute little or nothing to the debate about practical and affordable solutions.

And the most incredible thing of all….none of these organisations seem to release their reports/moans/groans/criticisms on the same day as any other – miraculously, they arrive on separate consecutive days, to be picked up and promoted by the BBC…

You might even come to the conclusion that the laws of chance, physics, mathematics, etc., have entered some sort of stasis or, perhaps more than likely, that all of this can only happen as a result of all of them being co-ordinated by those of a particular political viewpoint !

Is this a ‘first’? BBC News 24, ‘we go over to our sports report for a look at the up-to-date situation’……..One Black and one Asian presenter, – together! I really don’t know why the BBC don’t go all the way and present every conceivable foreigners face on our screens just to rub their outright dedication to multiculturalism in our faces.

look at the three songs recorded by “Aashiq Hammad.” The first one is titled “La ilaha illAllah”, which is Arabic for “There is no God but Allah,” and the first half of the Muslim declaration of faith, the Shahadah, “Aashiq Hammad” also has Bryan Santiago — Esteban’s brother — as a connection.

Way past my bed time but I had to endure something called ‘let it shine’ or let in shite, can’t remember. Had been enjoying an Orthodox Christmas at the in-laws and the bbc is the default channel for non speakers of English, in other words the telly was on. Slivovic was flowing and I saw somebody mutilate a Joe Cocker song and got loads of accolades for doing it. I just said my thanks and upped and left, an hours drive back to my ‘safe space’ where I can catch up with you all. Just think of the talent, real talent, from about 40 years back. Skynyrd, Wishbone Ash, Be Bop Deluxe, Clapton, ….even King Crimson…..and the crowds now are going mad – for what? I really despair – and the Malbec isn’t helping. I suppose that with the wife away I can have an extra measure of Balvenie. And BTW ChrisH – you should put your comments into paperback form; they would make a great read!!
