I watched the Proms last night BBC4 – ‘Chineke’, “Europe’s first majority BME orchestra. Visually, mainly black (mixed race) not asian with a sprinkling of white faces. Whislt the UK has had its share of muslim terrorism, I still think it is a little behind the curve of the US and Germany in terms of pro islam developments. Sorry, but we all have to deal with life’s problems every day, and without a publisher waiting in the wings ! These type of self-cathartic tomes are only of interest to the writer’s family, because its hardly holiday reading for anyone else. Countless slebs have written about losing their husband/wife/children or their ‘battle’ with depression/cancer/next door’s dog barking, etc, well the cynic in me says it just massages their egos.
At the Manchester Arena memorial concert tonight, there will be therapists on hand to ‘support’ those attending who find the occasion ‘difficult’. Its being called ‘mental first aid’ !!!! Er, why would anyone actually go to an event knowing they wouldn’t be able to ‘deal’ with it anyway ? Honest to God, I become more and more at a loss for words when I hear and see how everyone is wrapped up in cotton wool and protected from the nasty world, because they’ve no backbone. In the same ‘promo’ there’s a DJ spouting about his great grandma’s recollection of the British Spirit during the War, and hunkering down in the bunkers when the bombs were dropping, and how this concert would show the current British spirit – I couldn’t stop laughing. He failed to mention the lack of ‘therapists’ around at the time when his granny sheltered in the Blitz!!!!

We learned that the ME trained and backed Islamists are ISIS in infancy and Burma does not recognise Rohingyas – they treat them as migrants from Bengal which were mostly brought in under the Raj.
