START THE WEEK OPEN THREAD….

Monday morning arrives and so does the latest BBC/Guardian nothing burger about the Royals using “tax havens”. Can’t wait for the BBC to cover the Guardian’s Cayman Islands tax haven. Utter garbage from the comrades to start their week of bias.

We often note that George Orwell was frighteningly accurate even in his fiction. There are others as well.
I a reminded of a section of a favourite book I first read in my early 20’s in which the subject of political fashion arises.

Screwtape letters by C S Lewis. A work of fiction in which a trainee demon spirit is instructed by a more experienced devil (Screwtape) in a series of written correspondence
    .
    From Chapter 25
“The use of Fashions in thought is to distract the attention of men from their real dangers. We direct the fashionable outcry of each generation against those vices of which it is least in danger and fix its approval on the virtue nearest to that vice which we are trying to make endemic. The game is to have them running about with fire extinguishers whenever there is a flood, and all crowding to that side of the boat which is already nearly gunwale under. Thus we make it fashionable to expose the dangers of enthusiasm at the very moment when they are all really becoming worldly and lukewarm; a century later, when we are really making them all Byronic and drunk with emotion, the fashionable outcry is directed against the dangers of the mere “understanding”. Cruel ages are put on their guard against Sentimentality, feckless and idle ones against Respectability, lecherous ones against Puritanism; and whenever all men are really hastening to be slaves or tyrants we make Liberalism the prime bogey.”

The real danger of our age is Islam combined with leftist extremism. The BBC & the majority of the established media paint us a picture that quite the opposite is true. They would have us living in fear of Nazis, “Extreme right wing racism” and the hideous white man.
The political fashion is to hate Donald Trump

I am watching a BBC series on DVD at the moment, it is from the 1970’s, it is called the Complete Works of Shakespeare. I am following it in the order in which he is thought to have written his plays. In Henry VI Part II the Jack Cade rebellion is shown, and Shakespeare mocks Leftist politics in a scene reminiscent of Monty Python’s Life of Brian.

It is all there, an attack on grammar schools, and other peoples wealth and property. Cade declares that the State will provide everything, the streets will run with free claret wine, everybody will be forced to wear the same clothes, have unlimited sexual satisfaction, and the law replaced by the will of Jack Cade and his supporters.

Anticipating the French Revolution the mob go around with heads on sticks, making them kiss each other, looting and destroying buildings and records, following one leader, then another, all in the name of liberty.

Cade is finally killed by a small yeoman farmer protecting his property when Cade tries to thieve from him

‘Action needed’ to curb tax havens {bbc.co.uk 06nov2017} … maybe the EU Commissioner can help Jean-Claude Juncker blocked EU curbs on tax avoidance, cables show {theguardian 01jan2017}?

“Juncker has also campaigned hard for greater tax cooperation among member states in the battle against international businesses that avoid tax. The latest leaked cables, however, raise further questions about whether he (Jean-Claude Juncker) is the right person to champion such reforms (Tax Avoidance).

    This reminds me of …

And all because the Plebs want to keep there well earned cash, and do not want it to be stolen, to fund all of those friends of Mr Blair, including the BBC.

BBC comes close to admitting that its output is all anti-Brexit. Edward Stourton on Analysis urged us to ‘keep listening’ as this would be a different BBC message.

Edward Stourton asks how the European Union might change after Britain leaves. “The wind is back in Europe’s sails”, according to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. In September, in his annual address to the European Parliament, he set out a bold dream for the future. Soon afterwards it was echoed by another, this time from French President Emmanuel Macron who declared that “the only path that assures our future is the rebuilding of a Europe that is sovereign, united and democratic”. Amongst the proposals that the two leaders put forward were a European budget run by a European finance minister, an enlargement of the Schengen passport-free travel zone, and much closer collaboration on tax, defence, and a host of other issues.

Strangely the BBC’s ‘experts’ call Junker and old-style EU ‘conservative’, just like his predecessor, the ‘new’ EU won’t be like that they insist. (‘Ever closer union’ will never happen and isn’t a goal). Mind their lovely Macron is saying the same thing as the ‘oldies’, he just wants to take more time. The destination will be the same.

It all reminds me of the BBC’s view of Islam – it is what they would like it to be, not what it is. However the EU is still run by EU fanatics and Islam is still ‘run’ by Muslim fanatics.

During the programme the ‘Mandelson’ theory of ‘sovereignty’ is aired again. The idea is that a small country has to do what the big countries like China and India say so it doesn’t have ‘control’. By being part of the EU we have them ‘on our side’. However, suppose cheap steel from China suits the ’27’, we have lost the support from the EU and are unable to do a deal with China on our own. A country free to act on its own can at least ban imports. The EU has shown no sign of being our friend in the past. This is yet again a BBC wish not a reality.

      Jim,
Have to admit this was an interesting programme and the first about the EU after we leave in 508 days.

The ever closer union must either get more cash from the remainers or throttle back on its aims. I think the former is more likely meaning the krauts will be calling the tune even more. A world wide recession is due at sometime due and will probably one of those black swan events which only good pesimists can predict.

Anyway as the EU becomes even more like a fourth Reich and Germany pushes smaller countries to do what it wants perhaps a permanent rot sets in. Countries which get ecomincally or socially weaker will want to leave more but be harder to do.

I was watching “Maybrit Illner” the German BBCs’ version of, say, QT, but without audience “participation”.
The studio was dominated by portraits of Macron and Mad Ma Merkel, both looking very smug.
Macron worship was flavour of the month. The Germans long for Macron to economically reform France in Germany’s image. The Germans love the idea of the European Superstate -essentially the Fourth Reich in all but name. However, they do not want to have “an ever closer union” that might involve “socialisation of debt” in other words they do not want any resposibility for the cuurent Euro debts of Greece and the other usual suspects. Nor do they want a future situation were there would be enormous transfer payments to Euro regions they helped impoverish. This is why the love affaire with Macron is blooming. If the Macron program works out, we will be seeing the first steps towards a sovreignty sharing beteen France and Germany, the easy steps towards more EU zone integration at some distant point in the future. If Junker sees “the wind back in Europe’s sails”, most of it is his own extreme flatulence.

Von der Leyen, defense minister in limbo, was pushing the idea of a European Army. “The 27 use 11 different types of tank – we should pool our resources in all areas of military activity and strengthen our defence”
No mention of Nato. The USA and Russia are now both seen as threats to the EU. Their ambitions are grandiose. They seem to think a European Superstate will be able to check China’s increasing power.

The Eastern Europeans have caused a lot of upset. You hear opions like “if they don’t respect the rules of the club, then they can’t expect to get all the benefits too”. Sounds familiar.

Am deutschen Wesen soll die EU genesen.

Two issues to report from the World Service.

Apparently Russia used Facebook to organise rallies for white nationalists – a superbly lazy hotchpotch of imaginary demons. Now there is no collusion they are scraping the barrel, saying that a social network whose sole purpose is to connect people all around the world must not be used for Russians to contact Americans. They really need to throw the towel in on this one and stop digging. Oh – but some billionaire in Trump’s cabinet has some money tied up in Russia! He is guilty by association – impeach him now!

One foreign entity with considerable global power did indeed try to influence the election. O how they delighted in playing the Trump ‘pussy’ tape over and over, whilst nothing about Clinton’s emails. Imagine the difference if they had led news bulletins with her saying she wanted open borders, and how she said it was important to have a public and private opinion i.e. say anything to gain power then renege on your promises? They ignored this and played the Trump tape over and over. They desire to influence the election was profound and absolute, not just someone posting something on Facebook.

Also a report on a Muslim woman who was upset there is no hijabbed emoji. My heart almost broke as I wept hearing her tale of woe. Who on Earth cares? And how boring is this SJW nonsense? It really is a busted flush; they have won all their major battles so now are focussing on irrelevant and annoying nonsense. I would suggest to the Muslim lady in question to do something more useful with her time than worry about emojis.

The BBC occasionally produce an article that reveals itself to be still filled with sexual deviants. The following is another example. It is a report on BBC Three. BBC Three is aimed at older teenagers, still deemed to be children, and young adults: 15 to 30 year olds.

The BBC 3 report promotes something under its “health and wellbeing” news section that we find later is not approved by the medical profession – but the warning only comes after the idea has been planted in the minds of the young with the use of a clickbait headline “Why would anyone cleanse their vagina with a cucumber?” and an image of a female hand holding a large cucumber:

Relax, everybody – ‘Mr Thumbs Aloft’ himself, the knighted, celebrated, fawned-upon and endlessly revered Macca himself has spoken on the BIg Issue Of Our Time. Yes, of course, ‘our Paul’ has told the BBC he think’s that Trump’s views on something he calls ‘climate change’ (no idea what that means this week) are ‘mad’.

Sir Paul McCartney: President Trump’s resistance to climate change is madness

Sir Paul McCartney has criticised President Trump’s attitude towards climate change, stating that some of his actions are “madness”. He’s accused the American leader of turning around “a lot of the advances that have been made” to help the environment. The former Beatle is continuing his long running vegetarianism campaign.

I wasn’t aware that Macca was an expert in climate science. The new BBC rule is that if someone isn’t a climate expert they are not to have their views on the subject aired. The BBC calls this ‘due impartiality’ (it’s their way of skirting around the need to actually be, er, you know: impartial). I demand that the BBC retract the printing of Paul McCartney’s views on climate change, since – by the BBC’s own rule-making, his views on the subject are worthless.

But I know that’s not how this has ever worked. The BBC only enforces its own rules against those whose opinions they don’t care for. Macca – despite a few awkward moments over the years – is safely ‘in the club’ with the progressive BBC, so his comments will stand.

Back to the BBC’s new resident climate expert, Macca:

“…Sir Paul, who rarely gives interviews, was speaking exclusively to Radio 1 Newsbeat about a new short film that looks at the impact animal agriculture has on the planet. He’s encouraging people to go meat-free for one day a week, arguing that reducing the need to eat meat would help the environment. “It’s not the total solution, but it’s part of the solution. A lot of people have been saying this for a long time but there’s resistance. Particularly when you’ve got someone like Trump who says that it (climate change) is just a hoax. A lot of people like myself think that’s just madness so it’s maybe a good time now to try and focus people’s attention and say ‘look, forget about him we can do something’.”

Ah, yes. The old ‘call to action’ – the ‘we have to do something’ meme. Historically speaking, how has that worked out? never mind, the BBC find space to remind everyone that The Science Is Settled™

“…In 2016, a study found that global agricultural emissions must be slashed to prevent the planet warming by more than 2C over the next century. Following another recent climate change report, a spokesman for the White House said it supported “rigorous scientific analysis and debate” but added that the climate was “always changing”.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled across a lecture given several years ago by leftist historian Ben Kiernan. I’m reading several of his books on the history of the Khmer Rouge at the moment for a documentary film I’m making. In his lecture, Professor Kiernan, who has studied genocides throughout history at great length and in staggering detail, drew particular attention to his discovery of the alarming frequency with which successive totalitarian regimes and agrarian utopian ideology have been linked together (the Khmer Rouge were just that very thing – with, of course, a very heavy dose of lethal communism).

Just thought it worth mentioning. Here’s the video:

Strange that Ken should link the destruction of Carthage with genocide. If they had surrendered their lifes would have been spared.

      According to Polybius

Scipio, when he looked upon the city as it was utterly perishing and in the last throes of its complete destruction, is said to have shed tears and wept openly for his enemies. After being wrapped in thought for long, and realizing that all cities, nations, and authorities must, like men, meet their doom; that this happened to Ilium, once a prosperous city, to the empires of Assyria, Media, and Persia, the greatest of their time, and to Macedonia itself, the brilliance of which was so recent, either deliberately or the verses escaping him, he said:

A day will come when sacred Troy shall perish,
And Priam and his people shall be slain.

If this is the reaction of the Roman General who destroyed Carthage and its people, I don’t see any “Roman supremacist” glee. Hannibal was celebrated as a great general, though an enemy, in Roman literatue (Nepos)

The moral of the video is I suppose never trust a leftist historian.

I was listening to a German Green spokesperson recently and I couldn’t help thinking that the Greens are advocating “Blut und Boden” without the Blut. Agrarian utopianism is fine in theory, but as Hitler realised life will be very shitty and tedious for the chosen people unless you have some slave labour. Is it a coincidence that slavery became less attractive in the west, when the machine became more available. The most backward cultures of the world still use slavery or forms of labour that are near slavery and have even succedded in reintroducing it into Britain.through these enriching links.

Debate is crucial to science. Its crucial because old scientists die and are replaced by children who then become scientists, due to curiosity. Which then makes debate inevitable, if we want more people to use the scientific method, even though they will be censored by the BBC. We need them to fight those not censored by the BBC, those scientifically unqualified “Best Scientific Experts” motivated by some primitive instinct that comes from the inferior human societies of the past.

Its also crucial because people could learn about why the best educated people in the sciences of Atmospheric Physicists and Thermodynamics, such as apparently, the President of America, now think that the standard Man-Made Global Warming formula in all those Computer models, can now be described as a Hoax. But a Hoax that has a non-Hoax solution in the form of a new formula found in the “Unified Theory of Climate”

Does anyone follow English Football and the Premier League? The following is an example of the BBC’s deep rooted and insidious campaign propaganda.

The BBC are reporting on the sacking of West Ham manager Slaven Bilic. They then comment on David Moyes being the potential replacement. At the end of the report there is a section called “What Do the Fans Say?”. Contained in this section is something that the fans say nothing about – hence it is a BBC lie, and a BBC addition that pushes their own agenda and propaganda: “Various reasons have been mentioned, including his record at Sunderland, where he came in at a similar position and failed to keep them in the Premier League. There was also the incident with the female reporter which has been mentioned a few times.”
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41702779

The BBC then add the link to the non-story that social justice warriors and the BBC made up when David Moyes made use of local banter about giving someone a slap for making a stupid comment. But the reporter in question was a female and the BBC and the social justice warrior brigade screamed “misogyny!” and demanded an apology and his sacking.

I follow English football, played to a reasonable and representative level in my youth and have coached, but don’t watch it at all on the bBbc.
I haven’t watched MotD this season, don’t watch Gabby Logan on a Thursday night and miss Football Focus doing other things. I use streaming to watch games and no longer listen to any build-up, half-time or post-game discussion. I don’t know anyone who does.
The bBbc coverage is rubbish, panelists talk too much without saying anything and they have ironically dumbed down their coverage by complicating everything – camera angles, mundane interviews, pitchside politics, obsession with formations and tactics and of course the promotion of women’s football. I would say with confidence that there are Saturday Morning League teams near me who would beat the England Ladies national side so why compare them with Premier League players?
Tony Pulis got it right at the weekend with regards to ‘ experts ‘, the bBbc on the other hand are getting football coverage badly wrong.

        Hi Rich,
leaving to one side the issue of expertise (or lack of it), the BBC sports coverage, like the rest of the BBC “news” coverage, is becoming yet another opportunity to spread their own propaganda. There is a drip drip process in which the BBC create non-stories, or make mountains out of molehills, and then repeat them over and over in order to tarnish the reputation of certain types of individuals, based on identity politics, they want replacing.

I have mentioned before the increasing use by the BBC of female presenters and commentators to report on sport – merely to fill female – diversity quotas. I tend to find few of these (with notable exceptions) have the passion, experience and knowledge that the men generally bring. There is a certain type of inauthenticity within their voices and their comments that suggests their interest and knowledge does not extend beyond filling a quota and pushing their own media careers. It is like the hamster wheel is turning but there is no hamster at home.

        • Rich says:

I agree and I think that care should be taken when highlighting when quotas are noticed, sometimes it can be easy to miss the fact that an individual may actually be talented or well informed because the knee jerk reaction can be that they are merely there because of their ethnicity, gender or sexuality. Not often a problem on the bBbc though.

They are simply journalists not fans, often their knowledge is limited and their interest is lacking, hence the absence of any real enthusiasm. There is no pressure on them and it could be sports one week, showbiz the next, politics after that, and luckily the bBbc have blurred the lines between these so much that the talent are interchangeable and so much easier to indoctrinate.

Oh my god they now have a woman discussing how to hang something on a wall…and how difficult it is….Jesus am I going mad…How thick are BBC people if they can’t figure out how to put something on the wall and they think radio is the best media for the discussion

In the last week in the Times and Telegraph there has been a theme gathering momentum that Democracy needs to be made afresh, and that the belief in the present system has been undermined by fake news. A view pushed and endorsed by the BBC of course. The Russians’ interference in the US Presidential election and in the Brexit vote are mentioned prominently because this is the new front opened up by the establishment to justify impeaching President Trump and overturning the democratic outcome of the referendum. The theme majors on voters being confused by there being diametrically opposite views of the same ‘facts’ available from the internet and social media.
What is clear to anyone who isn’t a dupe of the Globalist elite is a) the elite want to impeach President Trump and overturn Brexit but want to claim that they doing so in the best interests of democracy , and b) that the elite also want to gain control of what ordinary folks can read and see on the internet.
My advice to the journalists who write these articles is that democracy is alive and well. The election of DT and Brexit show that. But it is true that millions, tens of millions , of ordinary folk are losing their faith in the system precisely because the elite do not accept the outcome of the democractic system if they don’t like it. We don’t need to remake democracy afresh we just need the elite to abide by its outcomes.

This takes us back to Macron as quoted by JimS at the top of this thread. Beware those who wish to “remake or rebuild” especially things that largely function, or can at least be corrected without destroying the very thing you profess to care about.
Europe needs no rebuilding, it`s a federation of allied nation states if it`s left alone. But if you insist on a European Union superstructure, imposed and unaccountable-then you`ve got terminal problems. The E.U is going-Nigel only took out one of those “bricks in the wall” they like to sing along to , on their weekend rebellion camps.
Our democracy is alive and kicking-THEIR parody with Clinton and Bush taking turns to con the people and bleed them dry is dying and festering in its own faeces. How the hell did we allow MPs expenses, the likes of Campbell and Vaz, Prescott and Clegg into our political processes will be the only question that future students will ask?(if we get it right from now on).
The BBCNN complex is one big fatberg, fake lying gobstick patchwork-no wonder it so hates Breitbart, Fox or RT/Al Jaz-whose bias is, at least understood by us.
Malcolm X once said something about any revolution being liable to find itself stuck in the courthouse if it isn`t focused. After Brexit and Trump last year, we need to look at Malcolm X and all the other lefty scum-they WON the wars remember?
As opposed to chicken lickers like Damien Green and Roger Bolton…these chop shops “safe zones for a licensed conflab over nothing much” are NOT where the revolution needs to park itself.
Reading Howard Zinn at present…learn from our enemies tactics and agendas now, before you no longer get the chance to do so.
CS Lewis, Orwell all knew this I`m sure.

A state with no currently functioning political governing body, dividing issues around abortion rights, ongoing sectarian intimidation from homes and discussions with the EU with regards to Brexit taking place all in other news and this is the most important thing relating to my country today.

    Marky,
I’ve just listened to Jeremy Vine discuss the Panorama programme about the Paradise Papers with the reporter involved and for Bbc balance, John McDonnell. A programme about tax avoidance obviously so important that they showed it yesterday and will again tonight. Nothing illegal although this was definitely suggested, with no opinion other than that of the bBbc/Guardian and the Labour Party allowed or expressed. I could smell the hypocrisy of Vine from here. It was either that or the bullshit, plenty of both.

A truly rotten piece. Ffs, at one stage Vine linked, by ‘a long chain’, the Queen, the Sovereign of our nation, with the supposed exploitation of a mentally challenged young man by a chain of glorified pawnbrokers that she, apparently, indirectly invested in. This isn’t just an attack on the Queen or the wealthy though.

I reckon that the bBbc believe that us ignorant plebs, those who voted for Brexit, who finally told the establishment to fuck off, meant the Queen when we said we voted for sovereignty. That’s not really it though, as usual they’re wrong, it’s about self-determination and accountable responsibility. About democracy.

In their minds however this is another opportunity to be used to attack values other than their own, to undermine the Queen, to make people question her value, the value of their nation, the strength of their national values, to question their Brexit choice. Promoting republicanism through Guy Fawkes, celebrating the centenary of communist revolution and the demonisation of conservatism and capitalism through hysteria. Even the seemingly empty vessels like Vine can be used for this, self preservation wrapped up in a story, for that’s all this is, supposedly in the national interests. This is not for the good of our nation. It never is.

Try to listen to this programme if you can, the bBbc should be embarassed with themselves and the Queen should, if possible, sue the bastards. I’m going to complain just because I can.

Images are very important to the BBC and it’s view of the world, just showing the Queen on the home page and then if you follow the link it does not show the Queen – so which is it?

Vine can talk but should come with a disclaimer … New EU Directive BBC Programme Labels – for a new transparent and accountable BBC …

“I, Jeremy Vine, cost the public £750K* per year which is the equivalent to 21.5 nurses on £35K, declare that I have no other incomes derived from my broadcasting at the BBC. I have declared all my expenses and registered all gifts on the BBC expenses website. I, Jeremy Vine on this 30 minutes of show, with production time of 2 hours at an hourly rate of £1153 cost you the public £2884*. This does not include the studio and team wages. All monies I make from my ‘BBC Brand’ go back into the BBC. I follow the BBC guidelines – not giving my opinion on subjects that I know little about on twitter, facebook. If I do give an opinion then they are 100% in agreement with the BBC and have been approved by the BBC at time of publishing. Please note that reading out this EU compliant notice just cost you, the public enforced to pay my wages under threat of prison, a total of £76*.”

      * hourly rate is rough calculation, without knowing Jeremy Vines full wage it will be hard to workout. Figures are for illustrative purposes only. They may go up or down depending gender or TV Tax, but are NOT linked to the talent market. Taxes may be paid paid offshore, but hidden.

I watched it because I am a sad bugger who has always been interested in tax. The common law says “ there is no morality in a tax” and that is true. If your business owes tax and can’t pay they’ll shut you down.

This evening they’ll give meg hillier – a lefty and chair -I think – of the parliamentary committee free rein on the subject. Avoiding tax is legal. There is an industry which does it. I often posts the tweets here, cos the Times has a pay wall.

BTW another letter points out the irony of the Orwell statues being put up by the BBC he despised.

      This is getting serious, what did Boris Johnson say that was wrong …Fears for Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe after Boris Johnson remark {bbc.co.uk 06nov2017}

‘”When I look at what Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was doing, she was simply teaching people journalism as I understand it. “[Neither] Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe nor her family has been informed about what crime she has actually committed. And that I find extraordinary, incredible.” – Boris Johnson (from bbc site)’

The title should be ‘Evil Iran hold Journalist illegally without a hearing’ – why have the BBC added Boris Johnson as the person responsible? If any thing the BBC should pound into Iran to say as a BBC £3.5bn News Service we believe in journalism and you can’t stop it – do anything with this lady and the news service will be flooded with your actions. Iran the world is watching and will be informed.

But no the BBC has more important things to do like the gender pay gap and he touched her knee reporting … really? Not willing to defend journalism to the end BBC?

Don’t confuse the BBC with a news organisation. It is Leftist activism that arrests you and puts you in prison if you do not fund it; which is exactly how the Leftists like it, and they will carry on doing so until somebody stops them.

Been following this case for a while. The family have long wanted the Foreign Office to speak out on this scandalous case.
If Boris didn`t use the exact words required, then he was either badly-briefed: or failed to pass on what the activist line was.
Both are errors maybe, I`ll let the family tell me that.
Not the activists or BBC scum though-who have managed to do nothing in this case up to now-and largely ignored it in the case of Muslim cohesion in the case of the BBC.
And-as ever-let`s not forget what the REAL story is.
The Iranians have been kidnapping Westerners now since 1979-even took our navy kids in 2007 too. This poor half Iranian woman was kidnapped-and doubtless everybody knew that Iran does this.
Blame Iran-and their lack of any “international agreements” being sustained, Total contempt for all civilised and agreed norms.
Johnson is not the cause of that-but support for Iran by the Obamas, the BBC has done far more harm to this womans case than Boris.
Typical lefty displacement-don`t fall for it.

Comrade Corbyn has also called for re-education programmes for any new intake of MP so that they understand that feeling each other up is not “the right thing to do”. If MPs really need this kind of instruction, it shows what fifth raters they must be. I am also slightly confused because I thought that Corbyn’s sidekick was the neo-maoist and so should be the one proposing state re-educstion programmes and self-criticism sessions.

“Britain ‘would be booming’ if it wasn’t for Brexit, Mark Carney says”

That famous prophet of Brexit doom, Mark Carney, has once again leapt onto a soapbox and lectured the world on how Brexit is ruining the economy. The trouble is the guy always seems to be wrong. This isn’t usually a problem as we all get stuff wrong, the BBC do it all the time. But Carney is the Governor of the Bank of England, so ought he get something right about the economy? You know, I mean, just now and then?

He led Project Doom before the election, confidently predicting that if the great unwashed voted out then the UK would collapse into recession, unemployment would increase and companies would leave these shores. He may have mentioned something about frogs falling from the skies as he does get a bit carried away.

Following Brexit, Carney followed the Corporal Jones book on Economics, by running around shouting don’t ‘panic, don’t panic’ and set about unnecessary quantitative easing which worsened a rather rosy situation of growth.

Now don’t get me wrong, I think incompetent individuals ought to be employed in highly lucrative jobs, I think of myself as a candidate. But could Carney be the wrong man at the wrong time in the wrong job? Or should some unkind soul point out to him how the UK has full employment, a bulging order book with companies falling over themselves to set up here and that the pound is growing stronger?

If he wants to see collapsing economies maybe he should look at those poor sods still locked in the EU like Spain and Italy.

“Mellor’s new BBC drama centres around a registrar who deals with sham marriages and immigration. After the referendum result, the writer revisited the scripts to ensure they reflected her views as a remainer”
So the first new drama is 1 Mixed Marriage
and the second new drama features dozens of mixed marriages.
..I’m thinking that it’s the nature of a drama about fake marriages , that immigrants get portrayed as cheats, therefore Mellor has rewritten the scripts to adjust for that.

Al Beeb is doing a new version of the venerable ‘ Civilisation’ but there will be a lefty academic from oxford, someone black, a person of Pakistani heritage ( love that) and someone who does the cooking or dancing segment.

I wonder what the kill ration is for queer chaps who are married to each other adopting 2 year old baby girls and then beating them to death. Main stream media does the normal sort of report on this but only mentions this queer issue in passing.
I’m sure all those social workers and adoption agencies were ‘right on’ in their drive to diversify our country into a gender free Muslim coffee coloured mess with no identity but this one looks like its cost the life of an innocent little girl.

Some will point to the number of children killed by degenerate so called parents but I’d say that’s not the point .

Yes, Fed, they were about three-quarters through the report I saw tonight when they quietly and sneakily mentioned the murderer’s “husband”. No loud celebration of gay marriage on this story, strangely.

I am utterly opposed to gays adopting for many reasons. But I particularly hate children being used as props in an effort to normalise the gay lifestyle. Even on this news item, you can hear the BBC’s bias and agenda in the way the report is written, the terrible care taken not to raise any concern about gay adoption.

You’re right, Fed. This is bound to increase the kill ratio of homosexual parents. Gay Marriage and Infanticide. That would be a good title for a Panorama Special. I’d watch it.

Scottish paedophile ring found guilty of more than 50 charges
One, James Rennie, 38, then the chief executive of the gay and lesbian helpline LBGT Youth Scotland, had been babysitting the son of close friends, called Child F during the trial, since the child was three months old. The child’s parents were so comfortable with Rennie that he was allowed to bathe, change and dress the boy, whom he went on to abuse repeatedly for four years, allowing another ring-leader, Neil Strachan, to participate.

Strachan and his partner, Colin Slaven, 23, an IT worker, who shared a flat in Duff Street, Dalry, Edinburgh, were under immediate suspicion.
