So why is the crooked BBC allowed into schools on a propaganda mission to corrupt young minds? Haven’t they got enough influence already when it comes to mind control?
Surely this is a clear case of child abuse?
Well this is one case where the government are bound to step in and finally put the beeb in it’s place. No Conservative govt would ever allow this to happen you can be sure!! (joke)
What does a totalitarian regime want? More control! The BBC revealing it’s true nature. Will the BBC show where it has been wrong in presenting the news in the past? Such as Gavin Hewitt in 2015 … and stopping it’s reporters from investigating Savile?
Europe is going up in flames. Christmas trees have concrete bases. Christmas markets are canceled due to the fear of the RoP.
And the Western press and politicians are twittering on that its all Pres Trump’s fault. The reality is that the Islamic evil is too large for the liberal brainwashed media and politicians to process.
Remember when the WHO said that Mugabe was to be Goodwill Ambassador …. the brightest people on Earth giving an award to a man who destroyed a country’s economy and has his medical care in a foreign country! Goodwill?
The Festive trailer is the pits .I won’t be watching much BBC output that’s for sure.
Re fake news. The BBC and others never apologise or announce that the so called news they spread was false..Once its gone round the world, it becomes truth and the BBCknow that.Who is going to hold them to account ? Offcom .?They are more interested in bashing Fix News.
There have been many outright lies about Trumps bank records and his Russia Flynn involvement .
– No, it’s not another BBC historical reinterpretation of World War Two. It’s BBC news presenter Sally Bundock getting very excited about reports of German airline pilots refusing to take failed asylum seekers back to Afghanistan. But her newspaper review guest cautions our BBC gal. Hold on a moment, this might not be a story about nice liberal-minded German pilots. It could be that their priority is simply the safety of their aircraft. This rather more sensible and cautious guest suggests he would like to take a moment or two to check the details behind the report before rushing to a false interpretation. Perhaps the viewer would be better served if BBC presenter and guest would swap seats?
Much of the colossal public relations industry is essentially fake news: creating non-events to garner interest for something or other. I read a brilliant book called ‘Flat Earth News’ about it. Once you know their tricks you spot their output everywhere. Even stories you think are genuine have often been planted on the sly.
Hi Beeb, maybe at some point you could give us a brief summary or point to a good reference. I am aware of things like astroturfing when companies pretend to be the public and try to create a “public movement” and lobby. The same applies to pretending to be satisfied customers of their own company and dissatisfied customers of their rival company.
It was Freud’s nephew Edward Bernhays who set the ball rolling. He advised businesses that the best way to get publicity was through news and not advertisements. He got reporters to mention that someone famous liked bacon and bacon sales went up. And diamond sales soared when it was reported how Hollywood actors were proposing with diamond rings. The first rule of marketing is that if someone cool/desirable is associated with your product, than that product itself becomes desirable.
And there was the famous ‘torches of freedom’ event where he got loads of women to smoke Lucky Strike cigarettes, as apparently smoking symbolised empowerment. The event was reported on as news when of course it was effectively just an advert for Lucky Strike cigarettes. Just as recently an adventurer supposedly ‘got in trouble’ and it was all over the news. He was fine and never really in trouble, but creating this ‘event’ will make more people watch his programme when it airs.
Another problem is ‘churnalism.’ Many news rooms are understaffed so it is so easy for journalists just to just put out press releases sent to them rather than doing any actual journalism.
Beeb
“The first rule of marketing is that if someone cool/desirable is associated with your product, than that product itself becomes desirable.”
I’m amazed that Walkers Crisps haven’t gone bust.
‘The True story of Fake News’; written by a YouTube conspiracy theorist who thinks “The Illuminati” control the world and that 9/11 was an “inside job”.
“Mark Dice (born 1977) is an ultraconservative Christian American conspiracy theorist, social critic, activist, homophobe, anti-Semite, author, misogynist and racist. He professes conspiratorial beliefs about the New World Order (NWO) and the Illuminati and their evil plans to destroy Christianity and humanity, and bring about a one world socialist government ruled by the Satanic left-wing Antichrist who will make everyone wear Google Glasses.”
We used to buy the Christmas Radio Times, mainly to see if there were any decent films worth watching. We wouldn’t know about any other stuff they do, there’s far too much good reading to do in our local library!
Now as most of the stuff they show are minor flicks we’ve never heard of, with ‘actors’ ditto, I think a weekend copy of The Daily Mail with TV – free from Waitrose hopefully, will be just the ticket!
Much better value, and for the cost of a couple of decent beers, a good saving for all!
Scrob, its the same with the Sky Cinema package. Millions of films to choose from, and yet we get the same ones for months on a loop system. Tom Cruise in “A Few Good Men” has been shown so often that I could understudy each of the characters! Films with unheard of actors (and when you see the films you know why) that go straight to video are shown as ‘padding’. Unfunny comedies, fantasy and kids films make up the rest.
I once wrote to the department at Sky responsible for choosing the films (and wryly offered my services to help with the choice), asking why there is such a dire selection to watch when there are so many much better and older films to watch. I received a ‘standard’ reply informing me that a lot of films are under Licence and therefore cannot be shown ! Make of that what you will.
I know many good films made in recent years are few and far between, with film makers concentrating on the Crash Bang Wallop genre, aimed at the Yoof market, but there are still a lot of classics out there that haven’t been shown, and just browsing through Leslie Halliwell’s Film Guide indicates the plethora of good stuff that has never seen the light of day on the small screen.
Because Sky wants to maximise it’s profits. Just like ITV & Channel 5 it has calculated it can generate more advertising revenue by repeatedly churning out low grade, cheap, masticated pulp that appeals to 40% of it’s audience rather than some b&w classic film from 70 years ago that will only be watched by 5%.
You want TV companies whose only purpose is to make as much money as possible? That’s what you’ve got – suck it up.
Maxicony… I don’t remember writing my comment on Sky with malice or insult to anyone, so I don’t expect to be answered in that manner. “Suck it up ” ? – would you reply to your parents in that way ? – then again, perhaps you would. And I don’t believe I mentioned anything about b&w films from 70 years ago, you assumed that – there are plenty of ‘classics’ rarely shown from the last 30 years . Clearly the cheap masticated pulp you speak of are chosen by a generation that knows no better. A bit like yourself. Take a lesson in life – NEVER assume anything, it can land you in trouble.
Brissles, interestingly, several years ago, Yorkshire TV did a superb series called ‘Sorrell and Son’. I did a quick Google and can watch it again free on Youtube.
Just make matters more interesting, I have the book from the library, so can read Warwick Deeping’s work, and watch it as well – for nothing!
So, if you can, set up the laptop with a couple of powered speakers, and enjoy some excellent television, and forget all about the tripe served up by the BBC, just as Maxi says!
(I don’t think I’ve ever watched anything on Sky, but perhaps I did once and confused it with silly stuff from The Pensioner-Funded bbbc).
The Defence sec talking to the DM says ISIS thugs from the Uk should be eliminated and the bBC headline for this story is: British IS fighters ‘should not be allowed back into the UK’
The bBC, The whitewash department for radical Islam.
Toady still prattling on about Trump recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Thereeza was very fast off the starting blocks critiscising Trump on that one as well.I have to say I think Breitbarts – Raheem Kassams theory that arch remainer Theresa is trying to confect a split with the US to make leaving the EU seem less attractive. Seems more obvious by the day.
You can see the thinking I will let the BBC be rude to Trump and be rude to him myself if that does not work !
Oaknash, it’s a possibility. But we have obvious significant and historic links to Israel and Jerusalem, together with a significant Jewish community in the UK. We have other links as well, not least taxpayers’ money going to the Palestinians via the EU. Until we leave the EU, that is.
I think Theresa May has made a mistake with this. President Trump’s decision may break something of a deadlock. Yes, there may be more violence from the Palestinians. They should be asking themselves “How does this make us look, in the region and worldwide?”
I really do think that our PM is a single issue person, unable to quickly switch consideration from one issue to the next, maintain a mental overview of many varied policies and goals and manage all that while both managing and supporting her Cabinet. She should definitely stay away from Twitter.
In a way, Theresa May is probably ideal for negotiating the UK’s exit from the EU but doing only that, not all the other things a PM has to deal with.
Beeb website business section. Chief executive of Standard Chartered giving us his wisdom claiming London’s talent pool will be affected by (drum roll) BREXIT. Even chips in with a dig at President Trump telling him how do deal with the Chinese. One HYS comment points out how the Beeb over the years have had a negative opinion of banks but because this guy fits the agenda he gets a nice platform with a megaphone.
The defence secretary says that ISIS terrorists who fought overseas should be killed. According to al Beeb this is news. I thought it is self evident . Me ? I would do their families too. The al Beeb reporter ‘ editor gave their view away by saying that x number ‘have returned home’. Well al Beeb might like Blighty to be called ‘home’ but not this Fedup.
I’m still angry that a convoy of cars carrying Isis families out of Syria wasn’t destroyed when we had the chance. Al Beeb doesn’t understand what war is. When the next Islamic terrorist attack happens and one of these characters is connected to it they’ll be first in line to blame our security services and talking about ‘it could have been stopped if the cards had fallen differently’.
Fedup2 – The Chinese, under certain emperors and for specific wicked crimes, used to execute ALL relatives up to and including those nine times removed from the perpetrator!
Mishal Husain on TODAY this a.m. (BBC R4 6-9am) is demonstrating she needs some BBC re-training.
Faults I have identified include:
Talking too fast
Liking the sound of her own voice – talking too much and asking long-winded questions
Talking over interviewees
Not maintaining a measured response to all interviewees and contributors
Not listening to answers
On the contrary, surely that approach makes her (in the BBC’s eyes) spot on.
The BBC may in its wisdom deem some interviewees to be more equal than others, in which case a different technique applies and the guest is allowed to babble on unchallenged. (We can all guess the political leanings of those involved.)
She was demolished by Bernard Jenkin this morning….and yes all of the above attributes were in full flow..yes but, but is one one of her favourites – so I will add brainless stuttering to list above…and when she talked about Dublin, the Irish government veto his response of ” this is incorrect, Ireland doesn’t have a veto…read the treaty…” she was silent…hilarious..
Another tough day at the office for Mischel Hussein.
This morning on Toady she conducted a hard-nosed interview with……..errrr…………one Clemency Burton Hill, sometime BBC presenter, who has …….errrrr………..written a book!
Talk about looking after your own, continued.
Clemency Burton Hill, who in the finest egalitarian tradition of the biased BBC just happens to be…….the daughter of Humphrey Burton, erstwhile……BBC Arts presenter !!!!!!!!
34 Years of Corbyn … Islington is shite.
10 Donkeys and a Giraffe later with Abbott … talking shite
2 Years after May’s speech … immigration policy is shite.
1 Year when Cameron …. said I quit!
A summary of the UK political class … copy and reuse if required.
Marky,
I suppose decent people go off and make serious money and avoid doing politics because it is more trouble than its worth. Exceptions to this rule are the likes of JRM but his ability to stay calm , argue points through discussion ( not abuse ) are a case in point.
Our problem is the career politician on both sides doing the job for personal benefit – which I’m afraid is the majority on all sides . Added to this is the poison of the self regard that occurs when they walk into that museum which is the House of Commons.
Toady watch 2
Had to laugh at meeshalll interviewing an American democratic Congressman who agreed with President Trump about moving the embassy to Jerusalem. It was never really explained ‘why’ he agreed with his enemy and . She didn’t ask . Could it have been that this politician was Jewish? Or depended on votes from Jewish constituents ?
This was never covered. Was this because al beebs track record on anti semitism isn’t great? Our mishal being a bit scared of being criticised.?
What it led too was a less than good interview. Declaration – I am a Christian – I’d rather have Israel in charge of the Holy city rather than the Moor – our enemy.
The TOADY Programme, today from the University of Kent, failed to ask – in my hearing at least, I missed the first twenty minutes – about the Russian hacking of social media to influence the General Election.
Very strange. It was a major item on the programme yesterday and there were items on the BBC web-site, too.
How quickly issues that the BBC takes a long-term interest in disappear but old news is kept in Bulletins and on web-site pages.
U2s
Not reported in TWMTB is the fact that EU has had a huge propaganda budget for decades.
Money extracted from sovereign states used, not for the benefit of European people, but to destroy the states.
Money spent, naturally, on treasonous organisations like AlBeeb.
The ****s at the EU still want Turkey to join, more Islam please. I do not think so.
Three things to be eliminated from Europe. The evil EU and its supporters. The evil BBC. Islam.
If a few millions Muzzies and a few million Lefties are fatally injured in so doing it will just be collateral damage.
Yes, TS, and boy do we know how they spend it. The ear rubbing gets so bad at times I now find myself increasingly turning off or re-tuning to another broadcaster.
“If a few millions Muzzies and a few million Lefties are fatally injured in so doing it will just be collateral damage.” Unfortunately, it will not stop there and you know it. A violent end will have to be paid for by everybody and a lot of innocent people will also be hurt and killed, those who are not responsible in any way for what has been done. It is that that is to be avoided and Donald Trump’s stupid tweets make it that little bit more difficult each time. There is no clear way out but adding to the fog is just plain stupid.
The BBC should keep pushing this Russia thing, however, because it is going to burn the BBC, Labour and the Remainers badly. That may clear a bit of vision all round.
Islam is a ripped bag of feces slowly seeping into every crevice of society …
0. Islam asks you to have zero thought about it’s origins and practices. And make zero comparisons with successful cultures.
1. Islam asks for one simple thing. Islam asks for everything – finance, religion, police, morals, schools, law, food, science, clothes, art and your body to be Islamic.
2. Islam only has two problems – Muhammed and Mohammed. Once the first problem has been solved then the second one can be solved easily.
3. Islam offers three things. In the Koran it offers Peace, War and then a Continuation of War. In your life Islam wants you to subjugate yourself, subjugate your family and then subjugate everyone else.
BBC News Babies’ brains damaged by pollution, Unicef says
#1 outrageous that the title doesn’t make it clear it’s not the UK
#2 Nor that it is NOT new news
..It is not a surprise that when women are cooking indoors over wood/dung fires there are health effects to ALL, and that it can be expected that will affect development of young children
The report is focused on Asia
BUT
#3 The BBC report creates spin with a take-away at the end about UK babies,
sourced from a separate UK report NOT about brains.
That is narrative construction they took one dramatic report about Asia, to create a dramatic title.
And then at the end added completely different info from the UK.
Leaving the UK public with the UNSUPPORTED idea that UK babies are at risk from UK pollution.
At a friend’s last night and she had BBC news on. There was an item about whether an inquest into the Birmingham pub bombings should name the suspects. Already you know where this is going.
At the end of the item my friend agreed that the whole piece quickly moved on from the issue of naming the suspects to focus on what the BBC is interested in. We had interviews with 2 of the Birmingham 6, and the whole repeating of what we’ve heard endlessly before about police beatings and fake confessions. I don’t blame any of the Birmingham 6 for this, and so far as I know they all think the victims suffered an injustice equal to their own, as the innocent went to jail and the guilty were left alone. However, it’s despicable if predictable of the BBC that when it comes to the Birmingham pub bombings their only interest is in the injustice of the Birmingham 6, police malpractice and cover up.
To the BBC, the pub bombings were a trivial matter. After all, they only killed 21 people and injured 182. And it was all ‘in a good cause’.
Compare and contrast with, say, an obscure actor or politician being rumoured to have sent a possibly suggestive text message a decade ago: maximum publicity; naming and shaming; a frenzy of bloodlust comparable to the Salem witch trials; liberals acting as judge, jury and executioner.
A whiff of hypocrisy? Nah. An overwhelming stench.
The Left ALWAYS make their money out of the criminals-never the dead that they killed.
The Birmingham Six created countless jobs and column inches for the Left and its shroud waving ambulance chasing grief thieves.
The Twenty One dead?-well, what the hell will THEY give by way of political capital, moaning human rights lawyers, attached journalists and academic research for Liverpool John Moores College of Celt?
Ditto with James Bulger compared to the ECHR and Jon Venables etc.
Which is why the Left and Evil go so well together-can even sell their doodlings off as art to show “rehabilitation”.
This is NOT to say that the Birmingham Six caused this-but they`re simply a convenient taxi to flag down, as opposed to -say-Denise Fergus or poor Ralph Bulger. This law only is true within limits-Stephen Lawrence for example created plenty sculptures in his death. Again-not the lads fault, but the hypocrisy and media choices stink.
Has the BBC any sense of irony or the absurd? Breathless reporting from Jerusalem as the region convulses into chaos and violence as Trump relocates the US embassy.
Hello? Egypt- 300 muslims murdered at a mosque by muslims as years of political violence in Egypt continue.
Hello? The Syrian Civil War still going after years of bloodshed.
Hello? Yemen Civil War with the Saudis bombing away.
Hello? Lebanon. Iraq….
No, the BBC is worried about Israel.
Incidentally, as Palestinian fury fizzles out how long before the BBC narrative becomes ‘Well, under Clinton the US had already recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital so he deserves the credit, not Trump.’
Merry Christmas to all in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel 🙂
I haven’t bothered to check the BBC. I wonder how much coverage was given to the US Senate vote on Jerusalem? http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/230610
90-0 . Democrats and Republicans. “The resolution, which passed by a 90-0 vote, calls on President Donald Trump to “abide by” a 1995 law which stipulates that the U.S. Embassy in Israel would move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
It says that “Jerusalem should remain the undivided capital of Israel in which the rights of every ethnic and religious group are protected.”
On the twelfth day of Ramadan Mohammed gave to me
Twelve dozen bomb threats
Eleven seething riots
Ten dopes a-sploding
Nine ladies’ stonings
Eight anti-Semites
Seven conspiracy theories
Six whines and complaints
Five beheadings
Four kidnappings
Three lawsuits
Two racism cries
And a claim we’re the religion of peace!
They are very professional in their undertaking, quite beautiful. If you have to have an anti muzzie barrier then I’d suggest they are the way to do it. Although a few suedo medieval gibbit’s might be a better option.
Oops, that was supposed to be under the paper wrapped Merkel Lego picture.
Diversity bollards gift wrapped: Hide them from the masses at all costs! It’s the perfect metaphor for how they hide all muslim crime – wrap it up and pretend it’s not happening.
Not BBC, but an example of spin that brainwashes
UK onshore oilfields almost always consistent of a small nodding donkey behind a bush
But the Independent illustrate the story about surveying Clumber Park for fracking with a giant scary scary flare stack and darkened sky.
Show the kids that pantomime and the entire class will see the fracking firm as an evil villain.
The pro-Islamic BBC is still in melt down with Pres Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. A decision passed by both houses.
There are plenty of reasons that this decision is correct, apart from the fact that it is America’s decision. But the one that gives me greatest satisfaction is that it is giving a mental breakdown to the likes of the BBC and CNN.
And two Muslims have been arrested for plotting to bomb no 10, then stab PM May. Apparently its Pres Trump’s fault.
Had to laugh when on Toady, the American Democrat interviewee announced that Congess passed a vote on moving their embassy to Jerusalem in………1995 !!!!!!!
So Trump is following policy laid down in the…….Clinton era !!!!!!
Something the biased BBC seem strangely not to have noticed.
Still, don’t let’s have the facts get in the way of bBBC anti Trump prejudice, eh.
BBC TV had an “Exercise and Obesity Professor” from Leeds (Leeds Beckett, I think) in the studio this morning. Something about Amsterdam having a better record at preventing spoiled little brats with bad parents from becoming fat. Apparently exercise helps – not a lot of people know that.
So glad that the BBC and our universities are preparing us for the important challenges of the 21st century. Japan and S Korea must be struggling to keep up.
No wonder we aren’t wealthy enough to afford the daily demands for extra cash for this and that.
Get the Olympics-watch your next generation balloon up on Walkers crisps and Big Macs-the food of choice for the World Cup team.
Yes, thank you Blair and Coe etc….
In the BBCs rush to get rentagob Muslims in to “denounce Trump” and ” create those days of rage”( as if Muslims have any OTHER kind of days), I was miffed to find them saying that this is a “holy site both to Muslims AND to Christians”.
Islam using Christianity as sandbags for cover in regard of what they`ll be doing next if we let them.
How many sins and errors does THIS entail.
1. Cultural Appropriation-no Muslim should DARE speak for a Christian. They kill them.
2. Condescension and patronising. WE speak for our faith, not a ragbag of opportunistic blood surfing Jew baiters who only seek to rope us in on a slave chain and into captivity or the main square for Fridays entertainment.
3. Christians HAVE no “holy sites”. We have great churches and places worldwide, and Israel surely gives context and meaning to the Christian pilgrim. But Jesus is ALIVE-no grave to visit, no mausoleum. Let alone imagined tower blocks where a winged horse takes you up to paradise in a cave dwellers dream.
4. Where`s Welby-he HAPPY to let random Muslim potboilers use OUR faith as a cover for THEIR atrocities to come?
No-sod off Islam, if you`re going to kill and maim , burn and rape-don`t you DARE think that you have any common cause with any Christian who knows her onions.
Let the next TRUE Christian tell any of that live on telly, but they won`t. No Moral Maze or Thoght For The Day if you`re any kind of REAL Christian.
We need a Christian Brotherhood. Enough of this Sisters of Mercy brow moppings, our faith is dying in its very home and heartland, like Iraq and Egypt.
Toady this morning live from the University of Kent in Canterbury.
Which just happens to be a place where Labour had a surprise win in the GE.
The tone was celebratory to say the least. You could almost hear the smiles on the presenters’ faces. Then the student leader managed to shoehorn in the initials LGBT for no obvious reason at all which naturally got a big cheer from the impartial audience.
Still, I’m absolutely sure the choice of venue was entirely random. LOL.
Pass the sick bag.
Sluff,
It was only during the last election that I realised that you don’t need to provide photographic id when voting in England as we do in NI. It was the possibility that student postal vote fraud had taken place, specifically I think in the Canterbury constituency, and the subsequent boasting about it on social media that made me aware of this.
When you think that that moron Dent-Coad won by something like 20 votes in her constituency using similar election methods and of course, Momentum, surely there should be more stringent measures for verifying identity when voting.
Won’t uncover your face? Your choice, no vote.
Students should vote in their home constituencies and not where they are at university or college, it just completely distorts the result (as it did in Canterbury) and is unfair on the permanent residents of the place.
Yesterday was interesting. Our political elite were once again vying for virtue signalling airtime as they queued up to criticise President Trump for his stance on Israel / Jerusalem and Islam. It must have been standing room only at the BBC and Sky.
While here in Blighty we had yet another handful of ROPers arrested for potential terrorist offences.
A couple of Muzzies had planned an attack on the arch appeaser herself, Theresa Maybe. This spineless woman has bent over backwards and tied herself in knots to accommodate this invading religious fascism and yet they still want to kill her! Do you think this will sink in? No, me neither! Thankfully this plan was so utterly gormless that it stood very little chance of success. Not only are these creatures utterly vile, they’re also incredibly thick!
The other proposed assault though, was really sinister. Anything that involves the murder or harm of a child I think is beyond any civilised understanding. Putting the life of Prince George at risk by other evil half witted followers of this poisonous superstition is beyond contempt.
Just what more needs to happen in Europe before our leaders look the problem squarely in the eye?
Poor Sweden seems to be in meltdown. Anyone visiting London, Paris, Munich etc, would think these capitals were at war looking at all the “decorative” bollards.
And yet our masters in the political world and their mouthpieces in the media continue with their waffle.
Our useless PM continues to appease. The BBC continues to lie, deceive and fabricate. We, the general public, the sitting targets, are supposed to get on with it. Go to work, travel by train, tube and bus and if we end up as “Islamist cannon fodder” then, oh well…
And yet, seemingly oblivious to all the problems his faith continues to cause across the world, the midget mayor of London is in India, insistent that Britain apologises for events in 1919!
Beam me up Scottie…
.
The term has been popularised by radical Hindu fringe groups, who accuse Muslim men of participating in a “conspiracy to turn Hindu women from their religion by seducing them”.
5:49 police officers in “muslim controlled areas of the UK”…”the local islam at the mosque is in charge selecting the police officers he will allow to police his neighbourhood”.
New EU Directive BBC Programme Labels – for a new transparent and accountable BBC
“I, Jeremy Vine, cost the public £750K* per year which is the equivalent to 21.5 nurses on £35K, declare that I have no other incomes derived from my broadcasting at the BBC. I have declared all my expenses and registered all gifts on the BBC expenses website. I, Jeremy Vine on this 30 minutes of show, with production time of 2 hours at an hourly rate of £1153 cost you the public £2884*. This does not include the studio and team wages. All monies I make from my ‘BBC Brand’ go back into the BBC. I follow the BBC guidelines – not giving my opinion on subjects that I know little about on twitter, facebook. If I do give an opinion then they are 100% in agreement with the BBC and have been approved by the BBC at time of publishing. Please note that reading out this EU compliant notice just cost you, the public enforced to pay my wages under threat of prison, a total of £76*.”
* hourly rate is rough calculation, without knowing Jeremy Vines full wage it will be hard to workout. Figures are for illustrative purposes only. They may go up or down depending gender or TV Tax, but are not linked to the talent market.
In defence of my remuneration I, Jeremy Vain, feel it pertinent to add that when occupied as host/compere for the in-depth exposure of high intelligence levels that is known as ‘Egg Heads’, I give frequent textbook examples of sycophancy, condescension and schoolboy humour. This alone justifies my pay level, without consideration of my work on radio. Other sources of income, not listed here, are entirely personal and do not fall within the remit or levels of disclosure required by BBC accountability.
Did you see this disgraceful and demented interview last night on Spewsnight? Bride of Chucky, Matlis, spitting words such as Joke & it’s just wrong at the Israeli Ambassador to the UK. Bias and Jew hating at its worst. #resigninshame
See it there on the BBC Spy-player… https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09hzp62/newsnight-06122017#
Ricks,
A quick check on wiki suggests this lady is Jewish – married to a Catholic it says. Maybe she has some inbuilt rejection of her heritage or is just after the next step on the al Beeb ladder.
I didn’t realise Newsnight was still on yet alone anyone watches it. I suppose it fills the gap for more important stuff like snooker.
How strange, I suppose like all good lefties she hates her own heritage & has latched onto the trendy cause of the poor Palestinians. I only watched this to see the Beeboids reaction to Trump’s announcement but wasn’t expecting this amount of venom, contorted expressions & gesticulating by this woman.
She made it very very clear what she and her employers think of this situation & that they aren’t going to mess around with impartiality or subtlety when it comes to their beloved cause.
I was waiting for the Champions League goals to start on ITV and caught some of Afua Hirsch, indulged once more by a sycophantic bBbc. I could only shake my head in disbelief.
Some of the most twisted logic I’ve heard in a long time about not providing foreign aid in disaster zones unless it’s delivered with respect of the culture and dignity of the individuals and without the colonial superiority and entitlement, white privilege I suppose, with which it’s given; no pictures of starving children covered in flies as this infringes upon their rights of dignity and parity of esteem, no more poverty porn as this is really just guilt driven giving, not really charity as it’s owed.
What a sad, stupid, spoilt and bitter idiot this woman is, speaking to hear herself speak. We’ll take your charity but these are our terms, said no one who actually fucking needs it.
Embarrassment for the BBC and the Met Office. We have had the latest storm, Caroline, threatening us with 90mph winds, no doubt due to Roger Harrabin, Matt McGrath and plastic. Unfortunately the BBC and their weather forecasters appear to have almost doubled the wind speeds and 45-55mph is nearer the mark. Thurso, Shetland and Orkney are doing a bit better (worse, in reality) but still about 20mph shy of the prophesied speed.
Bit of a pre-event fear campaign? Do not forget the story of the boy who called “Wolf”, BBC.
Even more unfortunately for the BBC and their Director of News and Online (a certain Mr Purnell, if I recall correctly) if you type major places such as Cape Wrath, The Hebrides or even Portree into their weather service you get 0 results. Even Stornoway stalls and offers you a choice of two, which are the same place, one of which you have to click to accept! Same is true with other places. Common reference names are no use. You can end up with a long menu, the top one of which is sometimes exactly what you have typed into the location bar.
C’mon BBC: sack Purnell and get someone in to sort out the web-site AND BBC News.
If ‘white privilege’ exists then why did Obama get worshipped by the media whilst Trump is vilified? They would not dare act as they do towards Trump if he were black. So who is the ‘privileged’ group here?
Equally, a woman has just avoided jail after stabbing a man. Reverse the genders and he would definitely be sent down.
I also think homosexuals have life easier as they can better understand their partners. I still cannot really understand women.
The cultural Marxists with their phantom ‘oppressor’ and ‘oppressed’ classes often have it diametrically wrong. And those who believe this nonsense with a religious fervour are teaching children how to spot ‘fake’ news! Their entire philosophy is fake!
I urge everyone who can to read an article in this weeks Spectator by Ed West about the loss of traditional Christmas thanks to the growing Islamic terror threat. He goes on to outline the awful future that awaits future generations as the Muslim population continues to grow and is predicted to reach 16% by 2050. He is rightly fearful and pessimistic and demands to know why we have been led into this entirely avoidable hell. His anger is focused on the political donkeys who have driven into this position. He could equally have focused on the BBC and the Guardian axis of evil who have played key parts over the past thirty years. It is a courageous and long overdue article.

Only in Britain-and only with a BBC-would a nation pay the likes of Martha Kearney and Jonathan Beale to muse aloud
“Is it right to kill jihadists that might want to come (back) to Britain, having done their bit for IS?”
The BBC and its liberal monkeys seem to think that there is a debate to be had-and we`ve just had over ten minutes of it.
Absolutely staggering- despite Arianna Grande in May, back to Nice, Cologne, Richard Reid and Bataclan?-the BBC and its liberal fops seem to think that IS jihadists SHOULD come back to the UK.
Imagining the BBC pleading for Oswald Mosleys Nazi Blackshirts to be allowed to return to the UK after Dresden or Hamburg , so they can regroup and practice their cheeswire techniques on the populace.
No wonder the BBC and IS/Islam just LOVE the BBC.
Appalling-as Katie says above…what kind of country are we letting Martha, Beale and Labour/Liberal gonks turn us into?
Enough.
Yet even he has mixed messages within the article – his closing two sentences are: “By mid-century this country may well have the sort of political violence we’ve recently seen in Ulster. Indeed it may be worse, and we’re passing on this completely self-inflicted problem to our children and grandchildren all because people in positions of power were too scared of saying something unpopular” – and yet earlier on calls Trumps tweeting about the subject to be unbelievably stupid! At least he is willing to talk about the subject, which is more than can be said for any other Western politician or journalist.
Also the psychology will change when it starts to reach critical mass and ROPers approach being a majority. They are already emboldened as they have the entire Police, media and politicians on their side.
““Tolerance” is a mere symptom of imagined abundance. Remove flatscreen TVs, fast food, coffee shops, fashionable consumer items & nice cars, and watch as today’s SJW becomes more tribally affiliated overnight. Scarce resources = heightened competition. The “tolerant” live a lie.”
Dr Andrew Joyce
Islamist extremists continue to pose the most significant terrorist threat to the UK and to UK interests and nationals abroad.
Its mitigation strategy is:
Prevent (stopping people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism in the first place) Protect (strengthening our defences against a terrorist attack) Pursue (stopping terrorist attacks, up to and including at the scene of attack) Prepare (where an attack cannot be stopped, mitigating its impacts)
This is classic ‘stable door’ stuff. If people were importing Nile crocodiles into the UK and a proportion of them escaped and attacked dogs, cats and children the mitigation strategy wouldn’t be to increase the number of trauma beds at vets and hospitals.
Rather than ‘Enough is enough’ it should be ‘Sufficient Muslims to cause alarm is enough’.

“We will be faced with the decision about whether to allow the government to monitor people’s internet activity […] The next step will be technology that can monitor individual movement’s via CCTV. Inevitably, as lives are saved, we will accept it.”
——————-
Things are progressing further than that. The FDA has just approved its first ‘smart pill’ — such a pill contains a sensor which can track whether it has been ingested by the patient. How long before CCTV gives way to full and complete GPS tracking of each worker drone — sorry — {person}?
They’re called ‘Electroceuticals’. Now there’s some tech to feel warm and fuzzy about.
BBc news 13:00 Report on a muslim “panto”. Think I’ll be giving that one a miss. Meanwhile plot to kill PM disappears faster than a disappearing thing.
I saw the item on the muslim panto. Apart from the fact that it looked utter rubbish, I was amused that the justification seemed to be that muslims were criticized for not integrating, so how better to integrate than to have a panto? Well, for a start, how about not calling it the muslim panto, featuring only muslim actors?
It’s amazing that, for a muslim, it seems “integration” means having an all muslim cast in an all muslim panto. Are they missing something, or are we?
And in other bBBC featured news, the Californian widlfires have reached Rupert Murdoch’s vineyard and left it smouldering.
Did I detect a slight chortle from the presenters?
I doubt you imagined it – they’ll blame anything and everything on global warming, given half a chance, unless the blame has already been allocated to Brexit, or Trump. Californian wildfires are a common event, every year, and of course they’ll try and big-up the supposed cause being climate change. It is, as we know, total bollocks.
I heard it too Dave. You definitely did not imagine it. Now I am off to have a s****. Climate change seems to be affecting my bowels. Or maybe my desire to poo is ‘because of Brexit’.
After my own experience of the local Stasi calling at my home one night objecting to the word ‘muzzie’, I will now do anything to stop this continuing erosion of Free Speech. I have donated to the cause beneath.
“Dear Steve,
The Police Service of Northern Ireland and the ‘Public Prosecution Service’ are prosecuting me for giving an ‘anti-Islamic’ speech in Belfast!
I have been charged and I’m currently on bail awaiting trial.
Please sign my petition to demand that these charges are dropped.
We need to build this list quickly so we can hand it in before my trial.
Maxi,
“The police don’t knock on people’s doors just because they said the word “muzzie”, ‘G’.”
You calling me a liar?
The Police did exactly that as described at 2015 one Saturday evening.
I have read your posts here and, in my opinion, you are a pompous prick with zero life experience and in the absence of the latter, you try and fill that vacuum by criticising others. Get off and stay off my back.
Of course they have a team over in Melbourne to cover the gay marriage bill. How much does it cost to fly a team to the other side of the world and put them up in a hotel?
If this were a private company they would consult their customers and discover that 99% could not care less so the cost of sending a team over cannot be justified. Gay marriage in Australia is about 5000000th on most people’s lists of concerns.
The money saved would go to shareholders; why couldn’t licence fee payers get a Christmas refund of what they have not needed to spend? But because it is someone else’s money they just look to spend it all every year as then there will be another ill-gotten load to spend.
I would prefer them to pop on a bus for £20 and see if school girls are still getting raped in Northern towns. A crucial issue of huge concern to us all: only up the road and very cheap to cover.
Beeb
Regulars on here will know that I make no secret of the fact that I am gay, but quite honestly I really couldn’t care less about gay marriage in Australia, or here for that matter. It’s a total non-issue as far as I’m concerned, and in my view Civil Partnerships did everything necessary to address the inequalities regarding financial arrangements, inheritance rights etc. The rest of you must be bored witless by it – I know I am.
Still, I suppose it finds the Beeboids something to do instead of worrying about Brexit and Trump.
It’s such a cop out. When I am paid to teach French I cannot just choose not to talk about the imperfect tense because it is difficult – I would get the sack.
We pay for BBC news and they just refuse to report on anything which is the slightest bit difficult or challenging. So it’s like an A-Level French teacher just talking about the names for days of the week. A total insult and not value for money.
Beeb Bro
I think the analogy goes a little deeper than that. The BBC actually tries to convince us that Friday is Wednesday and Yesterday is Tomorrow. ils parlent de la merde
The arc of the rise and rise of the “gay marriage agenda” is a good one to track the sudden explosion of Alinsky tactics to invert all norms and defy the “normals” to fight them in their courts. Both Hillary and Obama were against same sex marriage in 2008, now it`s damn near compulsory.
So what happened?
Of course we all know gays and have good friends and links to them-but it`s the cynical politisation of the issue that divides us, and that is what it`s all about. The display of sexuality with a view to provoke or confront is just another weaponising from the Left using good people for their purposes.
Won`t work.
Merkel voted against them-so where`s the boycott then, or is that only Trump as ever? Hypocrites.
IT IS NOT PERMISSIBLE FOR A MAN TO WEAR CLOTHES OF YELLOW COLOUR

Their quoting of the Today team not bothering to listen to their own Thought For The Day did it for me-and i`ve told church members nearby to spread the word.
Do the BBC give us data on how many editions of the Radio Times that they normally sell at Christmas? Bet its declined dramatically over the years, but this habit is now gone. Never been without it before, but I`m sick of them and want to hit them in the pocket.
Dear Mr Piku, please disregard Mr Maxincony’s flippant remark and endeavour to use facts, supporting arguments and / or appropriate links. To do less would be to succumb to pettiness and a disregard to your own virtues and values assuming you still retain them. Note that facts in general are not universal but apply only within certain contexts and conditions. Suggesting or inferring facts apply beyond the contexts and conditions of their observation or measurement or occurrence is a distortion. Best regards.
Well there’s a novelty: a Defence Secretary with balls.
Naturally beeboids are all a-dither.
There’s a clue in the job title, morons: DEFENCE secretary, there to defend the country, unlike the beebistan whose priority is to denigrate and undermine it, and appease its enemies.
This isn’t entirely true. The stadium in Brussels will be completed but the erection of the million bollards and the cras proof gates are using more steel than the Belgians can source hence the delay. Also the concrete bunkers and machine gun posts for the armed troops are taking longer to construct than expected. But the Belgian PM insists these additional security measures are nothing to do with Islam and reaffirms that the terrorists will not divide us. The hawkers of souvenir tat outside the grounds in Belgium are laying in large stocks of candles and teddy bears and Imagine CDs . It should be an interesting tournament.
Winter is here, the NHS is under mounting pressure and national A&E targets are being missed. So how does Luton & Dunstable University Hospital consistently buck the trend?
Current figures show 98.6% of patients are treated, assessed or discharged within four hours in A&E, comfortably ahead of the 95% target.
– Now copy the model and the NHS is saved! No more complaints from the NHS!
Logical Marky but it wont happen.
The left wingers and those with personal vested interests, NEED a poorly functioning NHS so they can blame the evil Tories for lack of investment.
And the public, brainwashed for decades about the virtues of a nationalised state NHS, have lost the ability of critical thinking on the issue. Proof? How often is the comparison made with healthcare in the USA? Compared with the lack of comparison with any number of health systems in other equivalent Western economies.

“Nice, liberal-minded German pilots”

I’d like to know why.

BRISSLES,
“I’d like to know why.”

Not very bright Theresa!

I’m still angry that a convoy of cars carrying Isis families out of Syria wasn’t destroyed when we had the chance. Al Beeb doesn’t understand what war is.
Perhaps others on here can add to that list?

On the contrary, surely that approach makes her (in the BBC’s eyes) spot on.
The BBC may in its wisdom deem some interviewees to be more equal than others, in which case a different technique applies and the guest is allowed to babble on unchallenged. (We can all guess the political leanings of those involved.)

The BBC really are awful, yet predictable.

LOL.

Sluff,
It was only during the last election that I realised that you don’t need to provide photographic id when voting in England as we do in NI.

The UK National Risk Register says:
Its mitigation strategy is:
Prevent (stopping people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism in the first place)
Protect (strengthening our defences against a terrorist attack)
Pursue (stopping terrorist attacks, up to and including at the scene of attack)
Prepare (where an attack cannot be stopped, mitigating its impacts)
This is classic ‘stable door’ stuff. If people were importing Nile crocodiles into the UK and a proportion of them escaped and attacked dogs, cats and children the mitigation strategy wouldn’t be to increase the number of trauma beds at vets and hospitals.
Rather than ‘Enough is enough’ it should be ‘Sufficient Muslims to cause alarm is enough’.

The French imperfect tense isn’t so difficult. The conditional, now that’s one you have to grapple with.

Hypocrites.

Islam. So superior. No Yellow!
IT IS NOT PERMISSIBLE FOR A MAN TO WEAR CLOTHES OF YELLOW COLOUR
5173.
‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-As reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) saw me wearing two clothes dyed in saffron. whereupon he said: These are the clothes (usually worn by) the non-believers, so do not wear them..
5177.
Ali b. Abu Talib reported: Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) forbade me to recite the Qur’an while I am in ruku; and the wearing of gold and clothes dyed in saffron.

And now for something completely serious………
An arrogant ultimatum from the EU?
“EU hands Theresa May 72-hour Brexit deadline
The Prime Minister is given until midnight on Sunday to make a new offer on the Irish border – or talks won’t progress this year.”

On the Irish border question. It seems to me that the Northern Irish Tail is wagging the English dog. Perhaps the vet could sort it out.

Because the English dog made it possible.
A real English Bulldog, on the other hand, would never have allowed the situation to degenerate so far.

A nice piece of rump steak marinaded in an anti-freeze containing ethylene glycol, should sort out problematic Irish dog nicely.

In your local newspaper you see a court or public meeting report.
So who funded the writing of that ?
…. err the BBC
Buzzwords : “Local Democracy Reporter”
funded by “BBC Local News Partnerships”
organised by the Shared Data Unit at BBC Birmingham.
Yorkshire Post say they have now recruited LDRs.

We`re boycotting the Radio Times Christmas edition this year.

The BBC don’t sell any editions of the Radio Times at Christmas – or any other time. They sold it six years ago. Try and keep up.

Jeez, Piku; don’t try using “facts” on Biased-BBC!

Sorry. My mistake. I should know better.

Beeb website reporting Wembley is to host seven EURO 2020 matches after Brussels won’t be ready in time. To any remoaners out there, I rest my case.

Good news from the BBC on the NHS … it can meet it’s targets! Hooray! But you won’t see the news on the main pages of the website! Why is Luton & Dunstable University Hospital hitting A&E target? {bbc.co.uk 07dec2017}
