I’m not sure what’s happened to Alan (Maybe the TV liecensing people took him to their dungeon) and I don’t have the admin rights to remove the old pinned thread, but here’s a new one for all your BBC bias needs.

      0. Islam asks you to have zero thought about it’s origins and practices. And make zero comparisons with successful cultures.

      1. Islam asks for one simple thing. Islam asks for everything – finance, religion, police, morals, schools, law, food, science, clothes, art and your body to be Islamic.

      2. Islam only has two problems – Muhammed and Mohammed. Once the first problem has been solved then the second one can be solved easily.

      3. Islam offers three things. In the Koran it offers Peace, War and then a Continuation of War. In your life Islam wants you to subjugate yourself, subjugate your family and then subjugate everyone else.

Please let Roy Moore win in Alabama. It will be worth it just to hear the sneering Beeb have to begrudgingly report on it.

What do the Left really have to offer? We can all see how spectacularly open borders and multiculturalism have failed. The only way they get away with it is by controlling the narrative, shutting down any opposition and making it illegal to ‘hate’ what they have done. Relentless knife crime, rape gangs, the constant threat of terrorism, and the terrible, terrible fear of how this is all going to turn out in the future – what is there to not hate? Without character assassination, name calling and no platforming they have nothing left.

And no free speech, how terrible is that? The ‘progressives’ – typified by the BBC – have moved us back to the Dark Ages where blasphemy charges would destroy you. At least back then there was a single God to believe in. Now we have the nihilistic cult of multiculturalism, which through believing in everything believes in nothing. It’s not exactly a creed you would die for.

“If I should die today on this foreign land,
There is a part of France that is forever multicultural!
      That believed in nothing,
      And never offended anyone!”

Nobody hates like a Leftie. You know the type. The type that believes we should all love and support each other come what may. It’s called immaturity. An inability to see humanity as it is. They need only examine their own thinking to find that none of us loves the whole of mankind. It’s the impossible dream that if taken to extreme leads to insanity.

As far as I am concerned everyone is entitled to follow their own perfectly natural instincts regarding love and hate. The Left seem to think that it’s possible to ban hate when all we can do in reality is to try to protect ourselves from the implications of hate which of course Lefties forbid us to do because then we are racists. They need to go through the process of growing up which in a lot of them seems to be delayed. As a youngster I went though the same agonies but after half a century I realised nothing has changed except their methods of brainwashing. Brainwashing vs Human Nature. Where would you put your money?

I seem to have been inundated today with political figures telling me just why President Trump shouldn’t be allowed into Blighty. On the Toady prog’ this morning I heard a sneering John Humphrys interviewing an ex British ambassador to the US and some pain in the arse Labour politician. There was pretty much a consensus view that Trump was an absolute blighter of the first order but some slight discord about allowing him here. Of course it was the lefty who wanted him banned. The ambassador, while agreeing that Trump was a brute, a racist and a supremacist, etc, thought (somewhat reluctantly) that he should be allowed. Big of him!

The BBC are scurrying around creating the impression that the majority in this country have a profound dislike of the president. I think this couldn’t be further from the truth. Most ordinary people understand his concern about Islam and only wish that we had leaders with similar opinions and backbone…unlike our pathetic, appeasing PM.
Most of us aren’t like Owen Jones, Sadiq Khan and Jeremy Corbyn. Most of us are reasonable. We don’t threaten disruption and mayhem when we don’t get our own way. We’re adults.

Later we had the patron saint of sanctimoniousness on, Vince Cable, to shove his aged oar into the debate. “Ban him” he said, to no-one’s surprise. Not very liberal, Vince!
I find this virtue signalling intolerance and narrow mindedness absolutely extraordinary. This lot would clamber over each other to show how much they “loathe Trump” for his “bigotry”, but constantly squeal about allowing (reformed??) ISIS terrorists “back home.”
Hundreds of mad Muzzies who’ve spent years murdering people coming back to Britain and into a neighbourhood near you.
    What could possibly go wrong?

Meanwhile Trump is feted in other countries that welcome him with open arms.

Why is UK the only country to be so sniffy, at the cost of trade deals and other benefits accruing from a state visit?

I suggest a few reasons, there are others: 1) we have the beeb and their ilk poisoning the minds of the masses; 2) we have a strong Remoaner lobby who don’t want lucrative trade deals with the US to succeed so Brexit fails. 3) we have a liberal / left domination over attitudes and policies. 4) we are in the grip of a strange kind of snobbery: dahling, he’s so vulgaire, not one of us at all, have you seen his hair, and he eats McDonalds and KFCs. (Of course if he were a leftie, the latter would be trumpeted as evidence that he’s a ‘man of the people’.) etc.

It is really a very serious matter this insane behaviour towards an American President. It is going to backfire badly on us. The one thing the flyover people cannot accept is an open act of disrespect towards a President of the USA.
I am sure President Trump is well briefed on our attitudes or at least the attitudes of our so called elites and opinion formers. He is an astute tactician and will use their hostility to his and his country’s maximum advantage when the time is right. Contrast the French who as always understand realpolitik .Also the old east of Europe.
Nato is completely dependent on the USA . Reality here and it is about time our stupid elite understood this. The President will not come if the current hostility continues. Now the new US embassy is opening soon and should be opened by a President . If President Trump declines to do so because of the idiocy of the progressives and the threat of real disorder then he will make maximum capital out of it and you can be sure that attitudes to us in say Iowa, Nebraska, Georgia and the rest will alter possibly bring us to the lowest point in US- GB relations for 200 years .
Mrs May has already proved to be weak on our vital interests vis a vis the USA. The rest Corbyn , Cable etc are viscerally anti American and positively dangerous ,
We are in for a shock . A common language can be a disadvantage and our continual insults and slights will be readily understood even in the smallest town in the Mid West. The President is secure with his base and knows it.
As Brexit looks increasingly ominous it is not in our interest to lose the good will of the USA and in particular it’s people .
The dislike of the President is now beyond reason or salvation. The elite is invested in it to a degree that is not rational. The USA is a democracy and a free country and the world needs it to be respected and treated fairly. I doubt the Chinese or the Russian or the Indians would dream of behaving as we apparently will if the visit goes ahead. It is more a measure of how far we have sunk into mediocrity than anything else. We need to be taught a harsh lesson and I hope the President does so

        Good post.

Britain is in a tough place at the moment. In the EU, but outside the EU for all purposes. Paying more to the EU but no voice within. Internationally, it is no man’s land. To other nations, it indicates a leadership that is incompetent.

At this juncture, to offend a hyper-power, is stupid beyond measure. Even Russia and China, no friends of America, pay great heed to the USA, and take care not to offend it. America is too big and too powerful, to play silly buggers with. But here we go with T May , the BBC and the rest of the idiot lefty media, tweaking America’s tail, when all Pres Trump is pointing out that we have a serious problem in Britain. SERIOUS. If nothing is done in the next few years, Britain will be an Islamic country in 30 to 40 years.

        Finish. END. Goodbye Western civilisation.

As Pres Trump has stated , America will not defend a country that does want to defend itself.

Oh, the irony! If Brexit continues to ‘progress’ as it has been, the Leavers will soon be demanding a 2nd Referendum and the Remainers will be campaigning against it. It really is amazing

The Elite managed to run a referendum on the EU

        whilst
spending our money to threaten us with their leaflet
        choosing the positive question
holding the status quo ( and lying that there position would be one)
choosing the official opposition and side lining the main protagonists

        threatened us
        with financial meltdown
        ww3
        massive job losses
        public services breaking down

using every instrument of the state to pimp on their behalf with lies and outrageous fabrications
lining up every living prime minister , president of the USA and pretty much every head of state bar putin to tell us staying in would be best for everyone

insult everyone who wanted to leave as a thick racist bigot
and have the mouthpiece BBC run coverage and hit pieces for them

and still only get 48% of the vote in a contest so one sided it made the USSR’s elections look honest

and they still cant figure out what actual public opinion is, or that the great british public is a damned sight smarter than they would really like it to be.

If Mrs May stuck to the choice that won the day, and David Davis stuck to the motto of his old regiment ‘Who Dares Wins’.

The BBC ‘reality’ check mentions stop and search without touching upon the real elephant in the room. Black people are more likely to be stopped and searched, but they are also more likely to be stabbed to death – how many this year? Of course that somewhat urgent reality is ignored because that might be ‘offensive.’ Would you rather be wrongly stopped and searched if it meant you had less chance of being murdered? A trillion wrong searches would be worth it if they saved a single life; of course over the years hundreds would be saved.

‘Reality check’ which totally ignores reality. Vintage BBC.

Number of people killed worldwide in the name of Christianity in the last 30 days : 0
Number of people killed worldwide in the name of Christianity in the last year: 0
Number of people killed worldwide in the name of Christianity in the last 100 years: 0
The point being that that would be completely antithetical to Christian teaching, whereas in islamic teaching, killing in the name of islam is endorsed. It really is as simple as that. We are fortunate that most muslims do not follow their religion closely.

Perhaps the answer to that one is that the Left are largely a bunch of hysterical zombies and the Right are largely a bunch of stoics. Unfortunately for us, irrespective of which government we vote into power, the zombies control most of the mass media. That gives them a big advantage and allows them to push their agenda unhindered.

James Martin, (historically?), excelled himself on Saturday by dumping sugar into a pan to make lemon curd and then did the same trick with some fruit. How come it didn’t ‘catch’ on the bottom and burn? I guess it’s similar to Jamie Oliver throwing pinches of salt into a pan from a height of four foot, theatre not technique. Interesting that he, clearly a Muslim, accuses the old white man of paedophilia. Remind me, who’s prophet consummated his ‘marriage’ to a six year old when she was 9?

          • vlad says:

Dystopian – the ‘thighing’ fun started before 9, actually when she was 6 years old.

“According to an official Fatwa issued in Saudi Arabia, the prophet Muhammad began to practice thighing his child-bride, Aisha when she was six years old until she reached nine years of age (Fatwa No. 31409). The hadith, which was quoted earlier, mentioned the prophet Muhammad started performing literal sex with Aisha ONLY when she reached the age of nine (Sahih al-Bukhari, book 62, hadith No. 89). Therefore, Muslim scholars collectively agree, by virtue of divine example, a child becomes an adult, available for sexual intercourse as soon as she reaches the age of nine. Likewise, the Shari’a allows any of the faithful to marry a six-year-old child.
According to the fatwa, the prophet Muhammad could not have sex with his fiancée, Aisha when she was six due to her small size and age. However, the fatwa said that at age six, he would put his penis between her thighs and massage it gently because he did not want to harm her. Imagine a man of fifty-one removing the clothes of a six-year-old girl and slipping his erect penis between her thighs, rubbing her until he ejaculated and his semen ran down her thighs. To this day, this is considered a benevolent act on the part of the adult male “not wanting to harm her.” What harm could be inflicted upon a young girl mentally and emotionally if not a grown man showing her his penis and stripping her of her clothes and rubbing his male organ between her legs? Of course the twisted mind that does such an evil to a female child, would not hesitate to ejaculate on her body. And if this sexually perverted evil frame of mind committed such an act upon a child, the pedophile would not stop at ejaculating on her. His evil desire would go further and rape the child before she was a mature adult. This is exactly what Muhammad did to Aisha when she was yet a child of nine. Before she reached puberty, he began to have sex with her. Let us see what the fatwa said about the prophet of Islam and his child-bride, Aisha.“Praise be to Allah and peace be upon the one after whom there is no [further] prophet. After the permanent committee for the scientific research and fatwas (religious decrees) reviewed the question presented to the grand Mufti Abu Abdullah Muhammad Al-Shamari, the question forwarded to the committee by the grand scholar of the committee with reference number 1809 issued on 3/8/1421(Islamic calendar). The inquirer asked the following:‘It has become wide spread these days, and especially during weddings, the habit of mufakhathat of the children (mufakhathat literally translated means “placing between the thighs of children” which means placing the male erected penis between the thighs of a child). What is the opinion of scholars knowing full well that the prophet, the peace and prayers of Allah be upon him, also practiced the “thighing” of Aisha – the mother of believers – may Allah be pleased with her?’After the committee studied the issue, they gave the following reply: ‘It has not been the practice of the Muslims throughout the centuries to resort to this unlawful practice that has come to our countries from pornographic movies that the kofar (infidels) and enemies of Islam send. As for the Prophet, peace and prayers of Allah be upon him, thighing his fiancée Aisha. She was six years of age and he could not have intercourse with her due to her small age. That is why the prophet peace and prayers of Allah be upon him placed his penis between her thighs and massaged it lightly, as the apostle of Allah had control of his penis not like other believers’” (Fatwa No. 31409).Thighing of children is practiced in many Arab and Muslim countries, notably in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, and the Gulf countries. These countries are notoriously known for this evil practice. There are many more such evil practices like altamatu’a bil almufakhaza (pleasure from sexual contact with her thighs), altamatu’a bil almuka’aba (pleasure from sexual contact with her breasts), altamatu’a bil alsagirah (pleasure from sexual contact with a baby girl), altamatu’a bil alradi’ah, (pleasure from sexual contact with a suckling female infant), (Reported by Baharini Women’s Rights Activist, Ghada Jamshir). These are all different styles practiced on the female child by placing the male erected penis in different parts of the child’s body for getting sexual pleasure…

Such as the slogans ‘cradle to grave education free at the point of delivery’, ‘a National Education Service’ (like the NHS god forbid). It os stated that social mobility problems startbfrom the age of 2, so is a problem to be fixed.
One simple question. What about the parents? Do they have a role at all? Any responsibilities?
Or are we heading for a Brave New World where Mcdonnell et al take children from parents by the state, put them in baby factories and presumably then educate them to be told what socialism to think?

However, he did not ask the three killer questions:
      1. Is it that all you are saying is that you want the Government merely to throw more taxpayer money at the Dept for Education without any clear specific aims or objectives,
      2. If the extra money does not achieve results will you change direction and cut the budget (Rayner was suggesting giving brand new teachers extra money to teach in sink schools – great way imv to achieve massive loss of newly qualified teachers while not helping kids) and,
      3. Will you reintroduce Technical, Secondary Modern & Grammar Schools because that was a proven way of achieving the best social mobility we have ever seen in the UK?

That in my opinion is without doubt the responsible fact (What about the parents?) for many of the problems with Education-we expect far too much from the School-Parenting should not expect the school to take the part of the parent. The parent has equally if not more responsibility for their childs education as much as the school. My wife and I did not expect our childrens school to teach our children how to behave in front of adults, to treat their teachers other than with respect was as they say a ‘given’, how to behave at the dining table, how to dress corectly and how to do many other things when mixing in society. Of we like they didn’t have dubious pleasures of Smart Phones and the controlling evil of Facebook. Can’t believe in senior school some students are allowed their mobile phones in the classroom-mand. The other ‘celebrity’ was Grace Dent. Unsurprisingly she too is an ex-Independent journalist, the bBbc obviously keen to transfer its appeal and success onscreen, spotting public opinion and trends with their usual agility, their finger-on-the-pulse observational skills as they meet the demands of their viewers as perceived by them.

What is their budget spent on when most of their programmes are as cheap and worthless, who could they sell this to, as slurry like this?

I haven’t been paying attention much to the new wave of films from the stars war franchise except to note that the BBC always seems to headline the movies with pictures of a young black man as a star trooper or a young white female as a star trooper. Is this another example of diversity and white man ethnocide?

Star Wars, the original trilogy, are great films as they are basically westerns in space, good triumphing over evil, white hat/ black hat, simple. Plenty of action and an easy plot aimed at kids and dads. Which is why they couldn’t leave it alone.

A lack of creativity, financial greed and self-conscious political posturing has ruined this ‘franchise’ for those of us who saw the originals on release or through pirated VHS and is part of an ongoing campaign which the bBbc so selflessly helps by using our money to promote it. The sycophantic bBbc actively promote and support what are, despite the obvious virtue signalling, nothing more than money making ventures by Weinsteins-in-waiting.

Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, they even ballsed up the Bourne movies with no 4, have all been ‘rebooted’. The Italian Job, Get Carter, Ben Hur, have been fubar’d and the list just keeps growing, even including proper westerns like True Grit and 3:10 to Yuma. All because unneeded agendas and intrusive politicking have to be inserted, increasingly clumsily and unable to mask the opportunism of the studios as they exploit the achingly liberal youth and chattering classes.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I went to the cinema or really even noticed the release of a supposed blockbuster despite the hype and my obvious need to be culturally and ethically rebooted myself. I wonder if Steven Seagal is on Movies for Men tonight?

Rich – have to say you are mostly right, most Hollywood output nowadays is for children. But the True Grit remake was a very decent film (I’m a fan of westerns obviously). Excellently shot, good performances and a good script, and attention to detail historically. It’s true that top drawer American actors are in the main insufferable rich lefty luvvies (like Matt Damon). – but they take the job seriously. And there is nuance, which is generally absent from British dramas, especially any outputs by the BBC which by default equals marxist propaganda.

Here’s a scene with the great line : ‘Though you are very young and sick and unattractive to boot’.

            Ok Imay,

I was looking for examples of remakes that weren’t as good as the original, or perhaps more unnecessarily complicated is more like it, and this popped into my head as the snakebite and loss of arm and bitterness at the end all seemed as bit superfluous and contrived. I agree it’s not actually bad although Matt Damon, great in the Bourne movies, doesn’t really convince me and I think the forced realism makes it a bit dull in parts, but I see your point, fair enough.

I don’t think it’s the politics of the actors that annoy me when they’re acting, it’s more that when they are so obviously acting, or pompously attempting to demonstrate their art whilst hopelessly miscast to suit an agenda, so many of the simple pleasures derived from watching a film are sacrificed and become lost just to make a point. Innocent escapism just can’t be allowed.

As for westerns, Open Range with Duvall and Costner is a proper old school modern belter and far better than the Magnificent Seven remake, not even Denzel Washington could save that one for me – there were more boxes ticked than bullets fired.

A close family relation spent years in the Congo and other African countries endeavouring to help sort out the way the population could avert starvation-he worked tirelessly to encourage the governments to provide fresh water, set up irrigation plants that would enable the cultivation of such naturally agricultural rich countries-but those in charge would rather feather their own nests and allow their people to remain with the lowest of living standards and now consequently into starvation. These bastards are wicked and I have sadly seen first hand when in Ghana some thirty years ago. Completely corrupt and utterly untrustworthy in the main. They will keep taking and encourage their populace to immigrate to the West. Beware.

Religiously speaking it’s a prostitute goddess in the corner of the Kaaba, but she’s covered up so it’s ok.
Mohamed didn’t destroy her when he smashed all the other idols of the Kaaba. He fondled her. So his followers do the same. It’s ancient fertility worship.

“Hi Lucy, Surely you can’t say Islam worships females and their genitalia? What you are referring to may have begun as a form of primitive female worship before Islam, but not afterwards under Sharia Law.”

The cult of islam is a curious hotch potch of half understood references to Judaism and Christianity, as well as the pre-islamic pagan religions of Arabia.

Thus, the symbol of islam is the crescent moon, which harks back to the moon goddesses worshipped in pre-islamic Mecca. These were the goddesses who were the subjects of the “Satanic verses”, which at first appeared to allow muslims to worship them as well as allah, until Mohammed (pbuh) reckoned he must have got his wires crossed, and it was actually Satan who told him that particular verse. Awkward.

Similarly, the muslim practise of worshipping a meteorite also predates islam, and is pagan in origin. Clearly, then, it should have no place in islam, but it seems that Mohammed (pbuh) liked to do it, so all other muslims have to do it too, for reasons I don’t suppose anyone can adequately explain.

It seems that when you base your religion on what voices claiming to be god tell a guy in a cave, weird things happen. Welcome to islam folks, we are going to see an awful lot more of it in years to come, courtesy of the left wing establishment. Thanks guys.

We see far too much of it already, there seems to be an item related to Islam on every views or current affairs programme the bBbc shits out and on some days it seeps into and stains the whole narrative without a true reflection of its wickedness and intolerance ever being presented.
I don’t care or need to hear about Islam as the bBbc sees it, never challenging its misogyny and intolerance, its bigotry and violent fanaticism, its hatred of arts and science and debate and progress.
The bBbc view of Islam is wrong, this religion offers nothing of any benefit at all to me or my country or my culture.

Haven’t you noticed that Muslim men are obsessed with perverted sex even though they pretend not to be? They claim to hate gay sex too & they murder gay men but sex abuse of little boys is common in Islam. Look up Bacha bazi for an extreme example. They use boys then kill them later. Just as they punish women for the crime of being raped.
Making the ‘hajj’ to Mecca at least once in their lives is one of the ‘Five Pillars of Islam’ All Muslims are supposed to do it. The belief is that the stone was originally white in appearance and it has turned black from the sins of all the Muslims touching it over the years. It takes away sin. It is a god. [false]

The Islamic symbol isn’t the crescent moon alone but the star & crescent. That is the crescent moon in conjunction with Venus. (The morning star) The ancients didn’t know it was a planet. The Romans revered her too as Venus. Don’t we use the Roman name for the planet now? she was a goddess of victory, fertility, and even prostitution. Aphrodite to the Greeks. Temple prostitution was a VERY common practice in the ancient world. It’s not so much a matter of worshipping the human female form as it is about appeasing the goddess so you can get all the perverted sex you want.
It was perfect for Mohammed and his religion of plunder.

Hi Lucy, I am interested in the origins of Islam, but I think you need to be careful not to present arguments that can be used by feminists in support of Islam. Feminists can say look Islam worships the vagina – this is the religion for me. That is all fine in the west, but as soon as there is a Muslim majority Sharia Law has to be introduced. Islam already receives a lot of feminist support in the west, I am concerned you are giving them additional reasons to support Islam.

Unfortunately many have been socialised into believing what they believe through the school and university systems and through main stream media bombardment. If you look at our politicians local and national – it does seem the battle has already been lost.

\\ Guido can disclose who’s in the final running to become the new Director of BBC News, replacing James Harding.
It’s understood the appointment could be announced as soon as this afternoon.
Here are the names in the frame…

Fran Unsworth: Thought to be favourite. Director of the World Service, with strong grasp of the impartiality rules, she is also Director of News and Current Affairs and sits on the BBC’s Executive Team. Safe pair of hands…

Jonathan Munro: Currently Head of Newsgathering and former ITV man. Was in charge of the infamous BBC election debate dubbed as having had ‘the most left-wing audience ever’ – even by lefties…

Kamal Ahmed: The BBC’s Economics Editor is a wildcard with no management experience.
    ** A big hand in yesterday’s project fear Rand Corporation story… **

Gavin Allen: Currently overseeing Today and the Ten and the World At One. Popular among the troops… //

I see on Breitbart that the Austrian ban on the Islamic veil is already delivering the goods, Muslims are packing up and leaving. So you can get rid of them by humane means. You don’t have to roll over and allow police officers to wear the veil like the CC of the West Midlands suggested a few months ago. At the time it was thought that he was referring to police women , but with painted finger nails , make up and high heels now de rigueur amongst the plods , he could have been anticipating a rash of transgenderism amongst his force. Anyway if veil bans can achieve so much what about banning barbaric Halal slaughter. That should have em leaving in droves and humanely to.

So all we have to do is ban the vile (I mean veil) and devout Muslims will leave?
And all we have to do is refuse to join the United States of Schulz and they will kick us out of the EU?
I’d be willing to take up both those offers. 😉

I use superlorin contraceptive implants to prevent unnecessary reproduction. Better than castration or spaying.
Suppose it could be added to certain human food prepared in a certain way.
        Bingo. Population falls

I hope you are not encouraging people to only have children if you can afford them are you? That issue is a ‘no no’ in the way ‘immigration’ has been for decades which has led to the mess we are in.

Interesting quotes by James Harding of the BBC, and I’m sure there will be more to come:

Harding said in 2011 that he “[believes] in the state of Israel. I would have had a real problem if I had been coming to a paper with a history of being anti-Israel… We wrote an editorial called ‘In defence of Israel’ during the Gaza offensive, but we also reported on the use of white phosphorus, which was the Israelis breaking their own rules.”[18] He also said at this time that the BBC does not have “a pro-Israel newsroom and it has taken management to get some balance in there”. Accordingly, Harding found this “frustrating because, unlike The Times where you can just choose not to buy it, you have to pay for the BBC.”

Harding reaffirmed that the BBC should not avoid investigative journalism after controversies of recent years.

In some respects, the News part of the BBC fails to “punch our weight”, he believed.

I’m sure that when Harding does leave having been a critic of the corporation in the past, many juicy secrets will be revealed.
