Most popular politician? That’s a tough one. The BBC obviously loathes UKIP and would naturally always give Labour a much easier ride than the Tories, but since the BBC sees itself as speaking truth to power it is also mildly critical of Labour at times.
I guess the favourite would have to be a Labourite person “of colour” so that the BBC could signal both its ideological purity and its virtue.
If the competition extended beyond UK borders then Barack Hussein Obama would be uncontested. A charismatic, left-wing, black Muslim social worrier* and an orator to boot? The BBC was so deeply in love with him it couldn’t see straight.

There should be a white, Christian politician category.
There should also be a white indigenous Englishman patriot category.
What about the most irritating woman on TV, on radio and in the MSM and
the most irritating traffic talking head; I nominate Joanne Webb from LBC.

One more category has come to mind; namely, the most corrupt politician.
Keith Vaz’ name immediately springs to the fore.
