Had to switch off. The ‘Canned’ or ‘Adjusted’ laughter was done so badly it made for very uncomfortable listening.
Absolutely agree, we get this dammed canned laughter in seemingly all progs and I’m sure in Strictly Come Dancing, it completely ruins one’s viewing-can’t believe that people would actually shout scream out but I suspect there a production member encouraging the shouting and continual clapping at every little action taken by the dancers. During a break in the proceedings a celeb ( if you can call them as such) singer comes on to entertain the audiance, usually I switch off the sound, but the dam audiance as I have witnessed when I did have the sound on, clap the dancers which drowns out the invited performer-rude is one word. Just so American as is everything.
I have some experience of ‘professional life’ in a firm. Things may be different in the USA but …
If a client ( such as a DJ Trump) had come to one of the Partners (such as a M Cohen) and asked them to do something illegal, they would be told politely but firmly “No.” and shown to the door which would be held open for them.

Don’t know if anyone will agree with me on this, but far too much is being made of this racism and anti-semitism stuff coming from Chelsea fans. Football is one of the last places in the modern world where men can partake of the ritualistic behaviour that since time immemorial strengthened the bonds between them which in turn enabled them to fight off their enemies and build flourishing societies.
Hurling insults at opposing players and fans is what football is all about. Songs, chants, jeers and gestures are designed and intended to abuse, upset, belittle, humiliate, mock and ridicule. You can’t taunt another team with a politically correct chant. If it doesn’t hurt them, it’s a useless chant.
My advice to the BBC would be – just ignore this story. In the same way as you ignored the Rotherham Pakistani grooming gangs story. Because really, chaps, it’s even more insignificant than that one was.

When the Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada was ratified, for example, the UK parliament wasn’t even allowed to debate the deal, let alone vote on it. The Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox didn’t give MPs any say on the deal, and he didn’t have to. Fox was hauled in front of the European Scrutiny Committee after the fact and grilled about his decision to not give MPs any opportunity to debate the deal, but at the end of the day, parliament was powerless to do anything about this. The withdrawal deal on the table has caused division, not consensus, and acrimony, rather than resolution. There are few champions of the deal, and even the Prime Minister herself can only at this stage muster pleas for acceptance rather than enthusiastic endorsements.
Parliament has been handed a fait accompli by the government. The decision before MPs is not a ‘meaningful vote’, it is a false dichotomy – a Hobson’s choice. Neither the public nor Parliament have been meaningfully involved in shaping the deal that will define our country’s future for decades to come. Parliament has influenced neither the form of negotiations nor the substance of the deal, so the only option MPs have now is to rubber stamp what the government is presenting – or else. For every deal struck in the future, parliament will have to fight these same battles, and the only way to win the war is for the UK to have a democratic overhaul.

I’ve been trying to find out an objective assessment of what a free brexit will mean but am hampered by the bias. Naturally the BBC does its funders a great disservice .
Examples – we will be subject to the exterior tariffs of the ReichEU . What are they? What will replace products with ?

Please BBC make this front-page news as we cannot have this sort of Un-PC chanting at soccerball matches. In fact if any fans rustle a sweet packet or dare to answer their mobiles during the game then they should be ejected and banned for life.
These players are only earning £200,000 per week. It is simply unfair that they are subjected to people shouting at them. It’s bad enough that they have to play when it’s raining. Hair gel isn’t cheap you know.

I was once a regular footy type . Supporters display a special series of emotions at games. Abuse of all types is part of the game – physical appearance , off the field antics – you name it .
And it’s not as brutal as it was . I went to a “friendly ‘ once and I swear to god someone threw a petrol bomb . In the 80s – never made the papers .
The BBC has its own agenda about footy and is using the banana / racials against players for its own purpose .

The applause rather gave it away together with some boos when next week’s Panel was announced.
“Stacked audience”. Blimey, their audiences couldn’t be any more partisan if they were filled by Momentum. They’re always atrocious.
Any group that can boo the announcement that the extraordinarily polite and urbane Jacob Rees Mogg is taking part next week, isn’t so much an audience, they’re more of a mob.
This audience “rigging” has been going on for years.
Prior to the referendum, had you watched Question time, or listened to the equally ghastly, Any Questions, you’d have thought that Remain were going to win by a landslide. They didn’t. They lost.

Jeff, I am increasingly thankful that the Snuffy household has gone without TV for nearly 14 years. I look at the front pages of the national newspapers most days and I am increasingly lost in wonder at the dross that is pushed at the public in the 21st century.
I remember, as a kid, adults saying “TV: too much will rot your brains!.” but that was good quality compared to what today’s children and young adults have chucked at them.
Any Answers was quite remarkable today. (Have not bothered listening for some weeks – cannot put up with Anita telling callers “We are running out of time” and “Too many people want to come in on this” but she is doing most of the needless yabbering herself!)
Today, the BBC had found some youngsters as well as oldies who voted Leave. The majority of the contributors, just, I estimate to have been Leave voters, Remain a minority.

There will never be an inquiry but it would appear that the local council was so terrified of further criticism over Grenfell that it became common knowledge that they were an easy touch for any third worlder looking for a taxpayers hand out .
I think a judge raised this in one of sentencing comments which would explain a lot .
As an aside I like the admission that the London fire brigade never planned for a tower block fire . They must have been watching something else on 9/11 –
