As Fiona Bruce prepares to show she can be as greedy and biased as the boys, in today’s DM celebrity agent Jon Roseman asks why is the BBC so gullible about its stars’ pay and so profligate with YOUR cash?
“I know because, for many years, I was an agent to the biggest names in TV, from Carol Vorderman to Natasha Kaplinsky, pushing for sky-high salaries. And I was constantly amazed at what the BBC would pay.”
    Well worth the read.

Thought I’d just try the Hospital program on BBC2, thinking it would be similar to 24Hours in A&E on C4. They’ve just spent 10 minutes slagging off Carillion and interviewing some of the staff about how bad it was that so much public money had been wasted.
I thought for a minute I’d tuned into a Jeremy Corbyn Party Political broadcast. Its seems everything these days is fair game for politicisation. No wonder people are switching off in there droves.

Some people / nation / states leave a bigger nation/ state and in their independent way make their way in the world .

Sometimes the newly won independence brings poverty , sometimes more riches and affluence .

Ireland wanted to be an independent country for yeah long .
When it achieved it , actually went backward economically .
But Irish people don’t regret their independence . Eventually they prospered . Do they want to be shackled to the UK ?

The USA wanted independence and quickly prospered when they got it .

So independence comes with its risks . How we negate those risks are more in the hands of TPTB. If they’re up to the job they should smooth out any transition. Leaving home is an uncharted water . Marrying someone is an uncharted water . Having children is an unchatered water . If you don’t do it your family will die out .

I was flicking back and forth between Question Time and bBBC NI where the Irish foreign minister and political poseur Simon Coveney was holding court, now more concerned with the “all-island economy” than the GFA, his true colours of spite and envy obvious to all but the bBBCs “baby-faced assassin” , in his own mind anyway, Mark Carruthers, as panic begins to take hold of the EUs eunuchs in the South.

There’s no point in wasting time on the politicians paraded on Question Time, but from what I saw Fiona Bruce was predictably pre-programmed and useless and Nish Kumar brought nothing to the table but still seemed to me to be given a lot more time to apparently amuse us than Melanie Phillips was allowed to actually contribute something of worth.

As was the twat-in-the-hat audience member who was indulgently permitted to pontificate unchallenged for much longer than usual. I wonder which socialist shower of shit he’ll be outed as being a leading member of?

I have nothing personal against those individuals who voted to remain in the EU. Indeed, I have friends who are remainers who are still friends. If the referendum vote had gone their way, to say I would have been gutted would be somewhat of an understatement. But, I would have accepted it, as this is the way our democracy and the compact between those who govern and us, the governed, has always worked.
Parliament allowed a straightforward referendum and gave us, the people, the final decision to make, and they would enact whatever the people decided.
    We voted to leave.
Both main parties made upholding our decision the mainstay of their manifestos during the following GE. What could go wrong?

Our compact is broken, ballots and manifestos are rendered meaningless and our democracy is no more. If our votes no longer count, then this will make peaceful revolution impossible and confrontation inevitable and if the effort is to great or the cause not worthy enough, then we will have the society and country we deserve.

    • Rich says:

      Honestus,

I find myself in a bit of a quandary with regards to the future of some close friendships.

Rumour has it that a few family members on my wife’s side, firmly embedded in the establishment safe spaces of medicine, teaching and law, have applied for Irish passports “due to Brexit”. This is their right as citizens of Northern Ireland but goes very much against the grain within the tradition in which they were raised, their decision seemingly based purely on the possibility of them being inconvenienced on their post-Brexit ski-trips and European city breaks.

I think that this is, appropriately, beyond the pale. The Irish government is an enemy of the Northern Irish state and has never knowingly benefited or shown goodwill to the British members of it’s population in any way. It has on the contrary been actively attempting to undermine and has been openly hostile to those who wish to remain British citizens for most of the last 100 years or so since Partition. The notion that these people I know can so easily disregard this and the ongoing duplicity of the Irish Government and their EU handlers throughout the Brexit process and who seem so willing to disregard their national identity in order to save, perhaps, half an hour at an airport is a real anathema to me.

I don’t know how I feel towards them now but this certainly leads me to question my knowledge of their characters and to wonder wether we actually do share the same principles and values that I once assumed we did. Thank God it’s only the in-laws.

He admitted, in perfectly measured English, that 30yrs ago they saw the UK as a gateway to the EU but now they saw the UK as a market in it’s own right as it had all the people, R&D, Tech expertise and markets for Japanese companies to grow right here.

Black on Black crime. As Douglas Murray always says when
there is a taboo subject on the BBC they look for a secondary
cause why Black gang drug dealers are murdering other
black gang drug dealers or their “mules.”
The police are an easy target. And as Mel Phillips said to the
unfunny comedian last night who was on Question Time last
night for the usual BBC reason, diversity, after he had called
her disgusting .” Have you read the MacPherson Report?”
He had not. Ever since then after being called institutionally
racialist . The Met have given the streets to the black gangs. In
case one day when trying to arrest one of the scum who takes
out a knife to stab the police officer, he defends himself, and is called a racist!
And the number one programme that gives succour to this is
    the Londonistan Programme.

Most of the murders in London consist of young black men being killed by other young black men. Local people then complain that the police didn’t do enough to stop the crimes. But when the police do try to do something about tackling crime in their area, they complain about being victimised by the police, and start talking about racism, etc. Doesn’t make any sense.

BBC Propaganda comes back to bite them hard on the butt ….. if not further inside the human body & dietary system.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-46827426

The BBC have spent the last few years, especially the last two, propagandising against sugar. (Anything to do with Tate & Lyle’s Brexit stance?) The BBC have been increasingly pushing for taxes on sugar. (Anything to do with the EU and the food taxes increasingly being introduced or is it just plain BBC greed & wanting low Income Tax for high BBC incomes?) The BBC have been pushing the ‘obesity thing’ for longer and now they are trying to get everyone to ‘go vegan’. (Anything to with the BBC stance on Global Warming & Climate Change which cannot be challenged?)

Apparently they have managed to scare enough people, over health, over evil sugar (not to mention salt), that a significant number of people (young people? who haven’t been taught about food?) into low carbohydrate diets.

And their health is now at risk due to the lack of fibre in their ‘low carb’ diets.

BBC: you are playing a dangerous game. Not only will you get burned, damaged, hurt but so will others, many others. Stop. Now.

With reference to the dangers to health from the BBC’s propagandising, I am brought to earth with sad news on the front page of the Times newspaper.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-46832831

The BBC propagandised over the MMR vaccine instead of asking rigorous questions of the PM and SoS for Health of the day, as well as the various medical bodies’ representatives that were made available to be interviewed. They pushed the MMR vaccine – irrespective of danger – without ever mentioning the fractional risk of that vaccine and any others when used.

I know the scare over MMR was probably a false one but that right-hand column of the Times’ front page emphasises the inherent risk in ALL inoculations and vaccinations and the importance of reading all of the small print that comes on the bit of paper with the vaccine. It doesn’t make precautionary inoculation or vaccination not worth doing but the 100% perfect outcome is not necessarily there for everyone.

    Stop propagandising, BBC!

You are putting at risk of serious damage the lives of your viewers and listeners.

libmob go for simple “folk tale” narratives rather than full colour complex truth.
and like children they throw a hissy fit when such comfortable “folk tales” are challenged cos you have taken away their CERTAINTY
.. whether it’s Global-Warming doom, Brexit doom etc.

See how children are happy with the folk-tale that the stork brought them, and then repulsed when you tell them they came from their Mum an Dad having sex

A libmob folk-tale like that “all Brexiteers are racist”
      has a parallel with other people’s folk-tales like that ALL ethnic-Muslims/gays/blacks are dangerous/inferior .
      ====================
      The yellow fever /MMR comparison
Any medical procedure CAN have side effects, so it is a matter of calculating the positives the negatives
No one says MMR never harms anyone, but rather the established side effects across an entire population are much lower in effect than a whole population that’s left unvaccinated.
For Yellow Fever vaccination in old people the number of side affects across a group are much higher, but for people living in yellow fever areas, are still argued to be lower than people getting yellow fever.

The Times article and comments don’t mention MMR
      but there is this comment

A good friend and colleague of mine, Malcolm Brabant, went insane as a result of his yellow fever inoculation.
Malcolm was a war reporter for the BBC, living in Athens
. His spiral into insanity after receiving the yellow fever jab, manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur, was documented on film by his wife Trine Villeman. Malcolm was sectioned several times, believing himself to be the Christ and then Satan. Their young son lost his childhood to his father’s madness, while the family came close to destitution.
Malcolm has mercifully recovered (it took years), and now works as European Correspondent for the PBS Newshour in America. His stories on the migrant crisis have won him the Peabody Award.
He and Trine have made a video of this terrible story – it is both harrowing and life-affirming – and it has just been released on Amazon Prime and iTunes.
called “Malcolm is a little unwell” and will cost you £5.49 .

Frank’s still in hospital, by the way, while the German authorities in Bremen work out how to whitewash his attackers – their buddies.
And,talking of German Fascists, I immediately think of Nicole Diekmann of the ZDF (German version of the bbc, also force-subsidised by poll tax) who, when asked who she considered to be Nazis, declared it was ‘anyone who didn’t vote Green’)
      Footnote:

I hope BBC execs and producers weren’t watching ITV’s Manhunt with Martin Clunes playing the ‘tec who caught Milly Dowler’s killer.

All the of the police offers were white and male, with the exception of two wholly believable women. Yes, I know, ITV must be full of hate and need to be attacked by the BBC/Guardian/Social Media Warriors.

But it gets worse. The serial killer who murdered Milly Dowler amongst others, Levi Bellfield, is revealed as a ‘traveller’. Clearly this would have been censored by the BBC. Worse, he was joined in his paedophile activities by his ‘Asian’ pals.

No wonder the BBC left it to others to make.

@Scribbling While we are here I have some thoughts on that prog
You know when you watch crime-fiction and they flukes which lead them to the perp, this reality was similar.
They only got the perp cos they got through a series of blunders*
#0 From the attack on the French girl they had a fuzzy CCTV of a licence plate of a white van, so stuck.
#1 A black beat police woman character turns up and says “I took a statement from a woman and she asked it has been followed up, she reported this gypsy character who goes around with a knife hidden in his balaclava and has a history of violence against women.”
..The chief calls for the statement and lo and behold no one has looked at it.
The check the guys name and lo and behold he has a white van whose registration does match the unblurred letters of the CCTV
#2 There are 2 other similar crimes with a very similar pattern in the area, one is Milly Dowler’s handled by Surrey police. It happens that the chief’s wife is an IT expert who has worked on that case, but Surrey police are so intent on empire building they block his wife from asking questions.
      So a dead end
until at the end they are forced by media pressure to arrest the suspect before they have enough evidence.
His wife sure that she’s shot of him starts to speak.. She says that her red Toyota was taken by her husband on the night of Milly Dowler who then told her it had been stolen.
#3 So chief goes to Surrey police and sure enough they have CCTV of that same car with rare paint colour, but they send him away cos they have another suspect ..blazing row.
Then on spec the Surrey detective turns up at the chief’s office with 2 videos from the pub, but she says there’s nothing to see cos they’ve already been checked.
They check and find that video 22b is still in an unopened evidence bag. Then it turns out the detective had checked 22a, and left her deputy to check 22b, but cos that was listed over the page, he’d not noticed and had simply watched 22a again instead.
They check 22b and lo and behold it has their suspects own van on the CCTV, so now they have enough evidence to charge him as a serial sex killer.
They admit that had that 22b video been watched earlier , the guy would have been arrested.
#3 When they did raid the perps house, they can’t find him and are about to give up until the wife points at the loft. Doh , they hadn’t checked properly. The detective was told to wait for armed unit, but instead he defied and went up himself and got the cowering guy.
#4 Oh I think there was a chance of DNA evidence from another case, but the police evidence store had lost the object
So overall the police had a lot of resources but nearly failed, indeed Surrey Police had, and another victim had died.

      * (I was going to say “cock-up”, which is not a swear word in etymology, but American’s think it is.)

So the whole ‘recycling’ scam leads directly to plastic in the oceans, this never happened when we put it into landfill.
So to solve the problem the government puts a tax on shopping bags – 8-(

They argued a “fundamental problem” with the system meant their monthly payments varied “enormously”, leaving them out of pocket and struggling financially.
Lawyers for the women said the problem was likely to affect “tens of thousands of people” claiming the benefit.
A DWP spokesman said: “We are carefully considering the court’s judgment.”

“A close school pal told The Sun Jayden was killed because one of his older friends had an “issue” with another gang member.”

Unlikely. Way too weak a link. Probably killed over a debt or territory.

“He might have fallen in with the wrong crowd – he was an outspoken kid.” The oldest excuse in a criminal’s book.
