This is actually remarkable, as usually the BBC only refers to media cock ups, even those by the BBC, from the POV of not being involved.

Jon seems to have accepted they are neither professional nor impartial.

And that is unlikely to change.

Be fun to keep this handy for when next they go men… more mental.

      Guest Who,

Could be someone hacked into Sopel’s Twitter account. But if he really did write that, it really is incredible – someone on the left owning the left’s inadequacies with no ifs, buts or maybes.

It’s so rare it should be printed out, framed and hung up on the appropriate wall.

I believe Jeremy Corbyn is correct and that Shamima Begum should indeed be allowed back into the UK.

On the proviso of course that Jeremy Corbyn agrees to change places with her in the refugee camp, and to give his home and allotment for her and her child to live in.

After all, she probably represents less of a risk to the UK than he does !

Corbyn has a point. We cannot make a British subject stateless nor should we. But we can put her on trial for treason. There seems a reluctance by our leaders and media to use the correct word.

I disagree Dave. The appeasers always use the so-called ‘international law’ argument.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_law

International law is consent-based governance. This means that a state member may choose to not abide by international law, and even to break its treaty. This is an issue of state sovereignty. International laws are consent-based.

I think Gerard Batten was right the other day.

How come we seem to be the only country that ever obeys this ‘law’?

It’s time to be less ‘gentlemanly’ and more concerned about real Britons. We are already at war.

Italy has been so invaded that it’s going to take them a decade or two to clear out the invaders, if they are allowed to by the EU. A few years ago Germany, USA and Canada would have been on the list but they are all heading towards multi hell so quickly that they will catch us up soon. Re the Brits; I see the unfunny man Jack Whitehall is facing a Twitter storm over his sexually oriented remarks about the “hugely talented girl band” (sarc) Little Mix.
Apparently, after their performance (wearing very little-clothes resembling those of a prostitute) he suggested that dads up and down the country would be fumbling for a scatter cushion. Innuendo implying that they would all have an erection.
Girls on twitter going mad about it saying that it’s typical of our society that when a “talented” musical act performs they should be noted for their musical talent and not sexualised.
Well-note to little mix… if you want to be noted for your supposed musical talent try making decent music without dressing like a bunch of pound shop whores. I’d say you are sexualising yourselves but then I’m sure you already know that. Sex sells crap music clearly.

Now he is saying he doesn’t want one thing in the prog
          Talk of his old name
He said he legally he changed it from Dilip Sengupta for election putposes.
Dilip comes from his mother a version of Philip
and the other part is from hos South African ethnic Indian father
He seems to say his old name caused him too many problems like being bullied at school, so now he wants a name that is not multicultural, but rather fits in.

Wow he’s on Skype with David Duke ex KKK leader , talking about how they respect other cultural groups and it’s other outside groups like “some jews” who are prejudiced.

She just said “You behave like a pack of white males”
and he says “You would never say , behave like a pack of BLACK males, so you seem like a racist”

Now the Nick Griffin bit, quite a bit of archive footage to frame the item
          .. “It’s not OK to anti-white”
So now Alice feels under attack … open mouth expression of victimhood ?
She says it’s OK to say “pack of white men”, but “not pack of black men”, … “it’s different”
Griffin said he wanted not to talk about race, but rather talk about other things and called her and her statement idiotic”.
It was her that then refused to continue the conversation with Griffin”
..The next shots he says “You are the racist, you are the sexist”
..She pulls the ‘I am the victim face ‘

Seems to me the prog was actually more about HER , than anything else.
.. A missed opportunity like time should have been taken to pin down if he really is hater of all Jews , and why ?

The BBC are all over Soubry now that she has left the Tories and have completely forgotten that this new ‘group’ was actually made up of 8 Labour MPs who had enough of Corbyn and was not just about Brexit or remaining.

It seems that Soubry has latched onto this group for her own agenda and now the BBC are twisting it to fit their own view.

Meanwhile the Labour Party is in tatters but we must not know that until the BBC have made up their minds of which party, or group to support.

The BBC does like revelling in the misfortunes of others. Fair enough, it is a two way street. Problem is, the bbc has £5b of uniquely secured funding, 20,000 staff and no accountability to reign in what is often no more than another day at the office.

Overnight my timeline got filled with outrage over an ill-advised tantrum by usually placid Tucker Carlson. It was of course unscreened footage, and the protagonist is now a hero of a left frustrated at his ability to find those from their ranks who make utter twats of themselves and causes they hold dear.

Score one or the red corner. Or blue there, which is confusing.

Thing is, he lost his temper, but is also watched by choice.

So, embarrassing but in essence just another day at the office.

What I find hilarious is all the cheap seats now getting on very high horses on what was edited out.

If the BBC does go there, and hard to imagine the three amigos at BBC North America not doing so, it will be on the back of a ‘news’ operation notorious not only for what gets edited out for effect but, worse, planned at pre-production to be edited in.

A very muted John Sweeney, also nursing multiple hundred pound bar exes, testifies to this.

And it is he, of course, who redefined professional rigour in interviews back in the day.

    • Roland Deschain says:

Am I not right in thinking there have been attacks on Tucker’s home and family? That sort of thing would get to the strongest character and might well explain an uncharacteristic loss of temper.

It is always noticeable that the left appear to have carte blanche to indulge in that kind of behaviour without sanction whereas any similar act towards those on the left is met with disproportionate force by the State. James Goddard, anyone?

Such a fuss about this Begum woman whose actions were deliberate, should never be allowed back to the United Kingdom with the arm of terrorism running alongdise her-Now let us consider, the beyond words, of the utterly brutal rape and murder of a lovely little six year old girl on the Isle of Bute. Who sent a bunch of Muslims to live on that peaceful Island? Yes you guessed it the First Minister of Scotland, who by such action is as guilty of the crime as anyone. Of course the BBC have as yet to inform us as to whether this evil boy was a Muslim, but by virtue of what was for centuries always a lovely happy peaceful community on the Isle of Bute, it can only be considered that such an evil act was carried out by a non Bute resident. Here again if proven thus, all those Muslims living on Bute should be deported and their citizenship if any, revoked. This nation of ours along with most of Western Europe has been invaded by those who follow the teachings of Islam and from all my studies leads me to suppose that the intention is to destroy our western culture in favour of theirs-maybe not tomorrow, but unless action is taken to stop it, certainly in more than 10 years.
If anyone has been watching ‘Shetland’ on BBC TV, the essence of the story has been about Trafficking, again a subject I have studied written about and seen first hand-they will never be defeated, the wealth they have runs into £billions-they will keep Daesh and others funded for as long as is necessary or suits their purpose their tenticles reach around the world-they will even use their strength to cause civil war in the UK and Europe and we or the BBC continue to talk about nonsence concerning the break away MP’s-who cares, they will lose their seats and should be thrown out of their constituent ‘Chairperson’, Ha! being very politically correct. Roll on a No Brexit Deal-might tuffen us up.

Staggering that all the apologists and defenders of the indefensible seem unaware of taqiyya, acknowledged as a significant tenet of sunni islam.
Just to keep them up to speed: ‘Taqiyya: an islamic term whose shifting meaning (so handy, that) relates to when a muslim is allowed under sharia law to lie.’
In Christianity the purchase of indulgences – absolution from various sins for cash payments – resulted in the Reformation and creation of the Protestant church, but that was 500 years ago.

It is beginning to look like it . I would guess many have left Uni and have never done a real job.
Rees-Mogg and The ERG are up against it now.
We should have left the EU in 2016, nearly 3 years ago avoiding all this uncertainty created by our PM’s indecisiveness, or should it be ‘unwillingness’ to leave the EU.

So true and all it’s done is given some hope and time believe it’ll never happen because they can alter the result of a national democratic vote. And three years on they’re still at, campaigning to subvert the will of the majority – it really is quite stunning.

    TOADY Watch #1 and only

Only time for one and the most striking thing was again the BBC’s loss of memory. Age-related memory loss is well entrenched in dear old Auntie.

Do you remember the fuss the BBC have made at different times since the start of 2017 that there was ‘foreign involvement’ (ie Russian) in the EU Referendum here and the election of President Trump in the USA and then, again, in the UK General Election in 2017?

2019 is only about eight weeks old, but even this year the BBC have been getting all agitated over the possibility that votes were “interfered with by outsiders”. So what do they do this morning?

The BBC bring on a Frenchman, the Chair of LNP (I think), to interfere in the so-called ‘new Parliamentary political group’ known as the Independent Group. Did not catch this gentleman’s name clearly: Nick Robinson’s French diction let him down at a critical moment. I think it may have been Guillaume Leger or Ligier.

The BBC appear to be happy when the overseas interference in the UK is their interference or interference of which they approve.

    Disgraceful!

Sara Thornton – a ‘ top cop ‘ retiring next month after 33 years of being funded by the taxpayer – wants positive discrimination in what used to be the police .
Could there be any clearer bit of begging for a peerage ? Or more clear example of sexism and racism from a ‘police leader ‘ .

Ability is an individual thing – not determined by colour or gender . If she hasn’t learnt that after 33 years of politicking to get a top job – well draw your own conclusions .

No doubt she’ll be touring BBC studious selling herself like so many are allowed to do .

It it was 100% women it could be cause for celebration and the women wouldnt cry foul then would they. Hypocrites !! Whoever is good enough, gets nominated. Simple. And that is pure subsidy cost, you have to add additional EXTRA network inefficiency and infrastructure cost when you force a network to have solar/wind power
