Maybe the coming week will finally determine whether democracy is achieved after the Brexit Vote or whether the Far Left BBC and other anti democracy organisations and individuals will continue to be agents for the EU .

What @TT means is that on his John Sweeney Cc BBC Panorama thread, the links got screwed up,
… cos in making clickable links you need to use normal quotation marks, not stylistic ones
..So @TT went back replaced his with normal quotation marks ..and they all work now

Rather, let’s hope they don’t betray it.

I have a knot in the pit of my stomach right now. In addition, I have no idea what the reason of a higher purpose keeping us trapped in the EU might be. I hope that previous sentence makes sense.
We need a massive miracle (or four or five), to happen this week, mostly inside the House of Commons and No.10 but maybe elsewhere as well.

7.15 pm Sunday Radio 4. Where is the effin’ comedy?
The all-female version of ‘The Now Show’, ‘Where’s The F In News‘ makes the ‘joke’ that the political scene hasn’t changed since their last series, in much the same way as they haven’t changed either, with material that still isn’t even worthy of the cutting room floor.

taffman, BBC comedy is deader than a Python parrot. It deserves a grand marble monument to long-past joy. This thought struck me yesterday, after I’d been hysterical with laughter at the dialogue of a 1983 ‘Ony Fools and Horses”.
The inscription: ‘Causes of death: political correctness, incompetent management and Russel Brand.’ It could be funded by subscription. Would any of you like to set up a website to organise it? I’ll start it off with a tenner, and my vote for the statue on it would be a goose-stepping Basil Fawlty.
Seriously, though the disappearance of quality comedy from mainstream outlets has been part of the problem, as one talented writer could cut though the absurdity of PC in half an hour.
Don’ t forget, also, there’s many a true word spoken in jest. The epiosode I enjoyed at the weekend involved Del’s scam to get his family (with aged grandfather) rehoused from a high-rise to ground-level. He said he’d failed to achieve it before, as he ‘didn’t have nine kids and speak with a foreign accent.’

That photo, that was on this w-s in the last week or so, shows amazing athleticism on the part of John Cleese. Thought occurs that he could make a valuable contribution to a mixed-gender or trans-gender chorus line.

Even these priceless comedies that are really quite recent are now being censored.
I was watching an edition where Delboy is taking the mickey out of an Irish mate of his and he uses some un PC language that we would have been familiar with at the time. In the episode I saw David Jason’s mouth is moving but producing words that didn’t correspond with what he was saying. It had been dubbed.
This is the BBC equivalent of book burning.
I don’t think there’s a cat in Hell’s chance we’ll ever see Til Death Us Do Part again.

This is ITV not BBC and it might be incompetence rather than a deliberate historical inaccuracy, but……
I’ve just watched the first episode of the new series of Midsomer. I think Causton is now a suburb of Bradford, but that’s a different subject. The episode began in 1539 with the monks at Causton Abbey executing one of their number in a particularly gruesome way. There could be a debate as to the powers of an abbot, but what we can be sure of is that the execution couldn’t have happened in 1539. By then Henry VIII had closed almost all of the abbeys and those that were left had Cromwell’s commissioners crawling all over them. The last two were closed in the early months of 1540.
The producers could have picked any date for the execution, but chose one that made a nonsense of the historical facts. I’d like to think it was ignorance, but schools seem to like the Tudors so it’s more likely to be deliberate. To ITV as well as the BBC British history doesn’t matter.

A very good point, I thought the same thing. Anyway, the idea of a monk being boiled alive in a cauldron of tar in 1539 is too absurd.
However, I must give the production high marks for being woke. Although the Asian pathologist has now gone, at least they had a white character whose wife was Asian and whose ex-wife was black, just as you would expect to find in any average village in PC bizarro world.

Watched Antiques Roadshow tonight. Producers had obviously been told that there were not enough people of colour being shown every crowd scene focused on somebody non white (sorry I no longer know the politically correct terms since Miss Rudd got things wrong). They managed to find ladies in saris too. But it is all so obvious. I had a feeling the lady that Fiona asked about the glass had appeared in a recent programme (she is quite stylish), makes me wonder if she is part of the production team, or an extra to fill a quota.
Son ran in the London Big Half marathon today. When I went on line to find his time, web site full of black and Asian runners, one page with about 6 competitiors didn’t have a single white face. I know Sir Mo isn’t white, but apart from the Kenyans and Mo at the front, usually most of the other runners are white.

Deborah, I cannot avoid the suspicion the BBC use a casting agency (‘Monorities are Us’, perhaps?) for their Roadshow crowd scenes. There may also be one called ‘Diverse Divas’, judging by singers on Songs of Praise and Last Night of the Proms.
I wouldn’t dare take my own family heirloom for a valuation. Since it’s a letter from Enoch Powell to my late mother, I would probably be removed from the venue with the assistance of Fiona Bruce’s designer boot. She’d certainly reach for the hand sanitiser.

I was always of the opinion, when I used to watch the BBC that a section of the Antique Road Show crowd consisted of burglars and other n’ere-do-wells looking for any valuable swag. There were certainly some suspicious characters then.

It’s fairly obvious that in this programme (Antiques Roadshow), and others, that the positioning of “spectators” is carefully choreographed. Clearly, from the low numbers of BAMES, most are just not interested in this sort of programme, so they hunt down those that they can find, and plonk them near the front, where the “diversity” may be seen. That was pretty evident last night, as most of the onlookers were whiteys!
It’s all very well embracing “diversity” and complaining that there aren’t enough “coloureds” in various leisure activities – does it not occur to people that they may not want to attend, or visit the countryside, so it’s pointless insisting that they do.
There’ll be selective recruiting on the grounds of diversity, rather than competence, next – oh, there already is!

I remember some 40 years ago a program on ITV which tried to encourage Pakistani immigrants to go rambling on the Pennine Moors and enjoy the fresh air.
What they did not seem to realize was that these people weren’t interested in fresh air as they would sooner stay at home watching cricket on the telly.

All part of the Multicultural propaganda infused into all European Societies by the European Union. It will be a very rare occasion when we shall see on TV or such, an all white parade of people to any event, and even in some of our small villages throughout, the programmers will deliver into the prog, a coloured Doctor, Vet female, Pub Owner, shop keeper, tractor driver female gay, whatever, so as to cover the Multi Society-oh are we not, now so careful about touchy coloureds such as Miss Abbott et al. Where has it all gone wrong? Perhaps Clement Atlee and Enoch Powell had a point.

Its been said before on here many times, that the dynamics of programmes on all channels have shifted from what they once were. Midsomer a case in point (Jeff on the lasts Thread, mentioned the producer being castigated for not making the programme diverse enough – it was Brian True May, as he rightly commented, it was rare to see any non whites in any village in the UK), and other dramas where a ‘token’ BAME is included for the sake of keeping the Twatterati happy.
I get a rough idea who are actually responsible for the running of our tv organisations when I watch the editions of the Press Review, particularly on Sky, and these very young people who have fantastic job titles such as Director Of a Silly Think Tank, or Policy Director of Some Such Project, and Lead Political Editor, or they are the Chief Executive of an on-line obscure news blog. These are the ‘calibre’ of people I believe are employed in dictating what we should watch on our screens, and it worries me greatly.
To hell with the notion that anyone over 40 might just want to watch anything intelligent and actually cater for the vast majority of the population – over 80% which happens to be white. Oh no, these idiots, have all been to Oxbridge and been pumped with left wing bias, and hence the result is what we see on our screens.

j-i-c, God allows all sorts of things, empires, etc., in the world, even evil Assyrians or Romans and may use them for His purposes, esp. the Roman Empire. 😉 It’s hard to see what purpose is to be achieved by keeping the UK (impossible to see, AFAIAC, at present) in the EU but maybe there is one.
There is no doubt in my mind that Heath, Major and Brown (esp. the latter two) were very, very wrong to take the UK into Treaties without the specific agreement of our nation in a plebiscite.
Sometimes, wrongs need to be and can be put right.

Yesterday the Times published a letter from a civil servant ,who remained anonymous , in which he or she described the manifold ways in which the Civil Service had been working to prevent Brexit. I know that this will be no surprise to those on this site . But what was truly surprising was that it was published by the Times which has been so pro Remain that it has lost any semblance of balanced reporting. Infact it is very nearly as biased towards Remain as is the BBC. Of course a newspaper can be biased if it wishes, I don’t have to pay for it if I don’t want to, unlike the hated corporation. But I like to keep abreast of what the enemy camp is thinking and I simply can’t watch the BBC it sends my blood pressure through the roof.
One thing which amazes me though is that most Remainers seem to believe that if they manage to stop Brexit or deliver a BRINO , the country will just accept it and the status quo anti will rapidly be reapplied by everyone. They don’t seem to understand that they are destroying hundreds of years of democracy by their betrayal. Things won’t be the same . For instance I am now a firm supporter of PRoportional Representation , something I was opposed to before the referendum and I will never vote Tory again if they do betray the referendum result. I suspect that millions of other think as I do. The impact on British politics will be profound and last for decades. They , the Remainers, are playing with fire and they don’t even know it.

Referring back to the comment about comedy being absent from the beeb, it’s got to the point that I won’t watch anything on offer. I mean anything, not even for five minutes. It became poor and formulaic around ten to fifteen years ago and destroyed an institution. In fact, I write and perform comedy which is presented live. There is little interest in it from anyone under the age of fifty. Those under this age in the audience generally stare with a vacant expression, completely unable to grasp the leaps of logic required to ‘get the joke’ and I’m damned if I will dumb it down for them at the expense of underlining, swearing or repeating.
I’m not saying the younger generation are daft but they have not received the same variety of pc-free comedy enjoyed by those steeped in a genre as diverse as the Goons, Monty Python’s, Rab c Nesbitt, Benny Hill, Morecambe and Wise, Carry On, the Two Ronnies, Absolutely, Black Adder, Not the Nine o’clock News, French and Saunders etc etc etc. There are simply too many to list. The comedy these days is based on mockery of Tory MPs and.. err..Trump and..well that’s about it because they are the only people you’re allowed to mock. Perhaps you might add a couple of white business men to the list.
Well, I could go on but the rise and fall off BBC comedy is plain to see and those who write and perform for it are so straight-jacketed by modern restrictive practices that it can never provide a true platform for the humour that is available around us.
Finally, let me take just one small example of how humour has gone ‘underground’ : The ‘Abbott’ jokes on here would not be allowed ‘out there’. She’s not only a non-albino woman (allegedly) but also the last known flabappotomus in existence other than thirtyeleventy others.

Taking racist and homophobic victimhood to new heights, it seems actor Jussie Smollett made up the whole story about being attacked by MAGA supporters.
A bit awkward for al beeb who lapped up the original story (3 of their favourite boxes ticked if you include the MAGA line – orgasms all round!) but are a tad more circumspect in their coverage that it was a lie – the so-called attack was staged.
Now, back to the more important business of mocking Trump.

In ten years time there will be some 20 year-old, dressed in Young Pioneer/Juncker Youth uniform, presenting a “Did They Really Say That?” programme with a “I’ve just sucked a lemon” face reviewing ‘the best’ of today’s comedy, the sort of stuff that anyone today that ‘likes a laff’ would turn off.
Probably in another ten years there will be an hour-long programme on ‘Comedy Greats’ in which another 20 year-old will rave about such ‘brilliant’ performers as Jo Brand and her ComedY Gold Classic sketch in which she dreams that she opened the door to find Virginia Bottomley, (then Minister of Health), standing there causing her to say the Best Comedy Line Of All Time, “Eff Off You Tory Bitch!”
And those of you who are watching will laugh because your ‘smart’ device will be checking to see that you do.

snuff- This petition has had huge support, but the parliamentary response tells you all you need to know. The MSM will do their best to ignore it.
The problem with all these petitions to parliament is that this institution is itself the centre of treachery, with the exception of MPs who have done their best to ensure that the voice of the people, as expressed in the referendum result, is heard and implemented. One is therefore asking for democracy to be implemented by the very institution that has decided to hijack the vote of the majority in the referendum, and twist the result into some form of remaining – whatever it may be disguised as.
The interesting petition, which has over 50,000 supporters, is the one asking the Queen to bypass parliament and ensure that the decision of the majority is implemented. What will parliament do if and when this reaches 100,000?
Gerard Batten already made this request in January, but -it seems- has had no response?
The bbc is currently essentially concerned with what various remainers in the Tory party, as well as Labour opinion, think. They are supportive of parliament ‘taking control’ of the Brexit process, so -if we are waiting for them to publicise any other point of view- we will be waiting a long time.
We should by now realise that the bbc have NO interest in genuine democracy. Lip service is the best we shall get from them. The beeb will do their best to portray leaving with no deal as some sort of catastrophic, lunatic fringe proposal, which deserves the odd mention, only to be shot down in flames. Their contempt for the ERG, which they mention very occasionally, is equally obvious.

What your tax pounds support?
I would disagree slightly with the video commentary:
In the muslim world, there is, ‘Jizya’. In the UK, ‘Jizya’ is State Benefit which the muslim takes as that ‘tax’ entitlement. Hence, no need to work while whitey is paying for everything you need.
‘Jizya’ – https://www.dictionary.com/browse/jizya (but note the penalty when the indigenous population (the invaded) refuse to pay the tax)

Jizya – the word itself even sounds disgusting – is just another name for protection money.
I think the mafia adopted it during the long years of dominance by muslims over their lands.

Come on there is further context
A lot of working Muslims do follow the tradition of giving a fair chunk to charity
..whether they are legitimate charities will depend from case to case.

Stew,
Zakat is the compulsory giving of a set proportion of one’s wealth to charity. It is regarded as a type of worship and of self-purification. Zakat is the third Pillar of Islam.
And it goes mainly to fund war and terror. The Muslim world wrings charity money out of the west to feed their poor while Sauds live in opulence.

Very well put. Incomprehensible that the government should ever contemplate a bad deal. Many people fail to understand what the EU really means. It is a fundamental of any democracy that people are able to elect an individual to represent them in the country’s parliament. That elected individual and that parliament must be able to set all the laws by which we live. This is not possible as a member of the European Union. Membership requires acceptance of laws set at EU level, and only an unelected Commission in Brussels can propose these laws, rules and directives. The number of areas over which the EU legislates has grown exponentially over the past four decades.
EU membership requires submission to a higher power; a power that is even more remote than Westminster and which is unaccountable to British people for all intents and purposes.
The Customs Union effectively sets the costs of a lot of what you buy.
The Customs Union puts tariffs at an EU level on all imported goods. This means prices for consumers in the UK are higher than they need to be on a wide range of everyday items.
The Customs Union also prevents the UK from negotiating trade deals which benefit our own economy. The overall needs and priorities of British exporters are different from those of its continental neighbours, and the slow-moving EU bureaucrats work to protect those continental interests, not those of the UK.
The Single Market requires acceptance that a great many laws are made in Brussels. These rules, set by what is basically a foreign government, apply to all British businesses even though 88% of them do not trade with EU countries.
The rules also apply to people, not just to businesses. The EU has slowly expanded its powers to take in everything from what happens when you flick a light switch to how long it takes you to vacuum a carpet.
Even taxes are now regulated in Brussels. Want to remove VAT on women’s sanitary products? No can do. Brussels won’t let your government do that. Appalling. The EU tax regime is set to be extended further, with advanced discussions on corporation tax and – even worse – a financial transactions tax. The latter is an example of regulation from Brussels that would specifically hit the UK, as it is the powerhouse of financial transactions in the EU. The Single Market also impacts the very fabric of our society. Any normal country has an immigration policy, deciding how many foreign persons it allows in, and which skills are needed most. This is impossible under the ‘four freedoms’, one of which dictates an open border policy to the foreign nationals of 27 other countries.
If your town’s schools, doctors’ surgeries, and hospitals are full, and there aren’t enough houses, tough titty. It’s no good complaining to your MP as there’s nothing he or she can do to stop more people entering. The EU has had a Common Foreign and Security Policy since 2009. The EU already intervenes militarily in several countries and it has a de facto Foreign and Defence Secretary.
Increasingly the UK has been sucked into the new military structures of the EU, which are increasingly supplanting NATO. Whilst the EU has been unable to pay for its own protection for generations, it is embarking on a rapid expansion of its control of member states’ own military and security resources.
For more than 45 years the UK has been subsidising the other countries of the EU. The EU simply recycles money from net contributors like the UK, and mostly gives it to other countries.
Despite this, and despite the absence of any legal obligation from the Treaty, the EU is demanding an enormous divorce settlement.
Would any rational person in the country seriously join the EU today?

Some more very highly recommended radio from the BBC!
Radio 4 Woman’s Hour – yes, honestly – the first 15-18 mins with Wendy Mitchell. Wendy was diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of 58. BTW, WH is doing a Podcast with Wendy Mitchell that sounds very promising. On the strength of the programme, then it should be extremely good.
Just in case it is helpful to someone in need, I repeat a post I put up on the Weekend Thread in a reply earlier today.
“I have been told by a dementia specialist, below Consultant level IIRC, that – generally speaking – dementias do not kill a person.
They could have been speaking in error, of course, but as a qualified & specialist Doctor, I tended to accept what he was saying at the time and pass it on for the benefit of others.”
Some slightly less highly but nevertheless recommended radio is ‘Heat the Wok’ (aka Start the Week) today with Kirsty Wark presiding. It is repeated, in shortened form, on R4 at 9.30pm tonight. WARNING! There is an agenda behind it and some propaganda therein but it is worth listening to. It is informative.
Bit like how the BBC used to be in the ‘good old days’.

Disagree on the dementia doesn’t kill view . When the swallow mechanism at near the end is disrupted by the disease dehydration and stuff wrongly entering the lung follows . I’m not a medic but I’ve sat and watched it happen .
I also took the view that the NHS was switching from ‘ end of life care ‘ to just “ end life “ hence that stat about life expectancy dropping ….

Further to that – once elderly people are dehumanised by calling them ‘bed blockers ‘ it’s not many steps to easing the existence of ‘ medical professions ‘ from making room by hastening death .
Which j have also seen a number of times . Medics are very good at covering their tracks though …

Interesting comment.
My wife was diagnosed with a frontal lobe dementia in 2004. Since then deterioration has been slow but inexorable. She ‘lost’ her swallow in early 2012 and the hospital medical team said, basically, that fitting a peg tube (feeding/medicating direct into the stomach) was futile in dementia cases and they would not be providing her with one. They then passed responsibility for her to a palliative care consultant who, surprisingly, disagreed with them. The net result was that she was eventually fitted with a peg tube and she has had an extra seven years of life as a result. She is now confined to bed and, admittedly, her quality of life is now very low. But she is still alive and loved.
I was advised early on that she would almost certainly die of a condition other than dementia, and she has indeed survived two instances of pneumonia, one aspiration, as you observed and several chest infections.
Perhaps I should add that she is at home, not ‘bed-blocking’.

I’m glad you got a palliative consultant . I got a nurse who could care less . I was caring for my mum at home and experiencing the brutality of the ‘ health professionals ‘
I’m sure you’re doing all you can however exhausting it is .
I know circumstance are different but I wrote as I found .
The time I ( we) really needed State help – the only time – it wasn’t there . So I support a smaller state without the likes of Aunty lying to the people all the time – or as they say 24/7
The term ‘ bed blocking ‘ should be avoided . I nearly wrote ‘ banned’ but I don’t like banning
Prayers with you and your love one . I hope you are getting help from Dementia UK . I did

I got the impression that Kirsty Wark’s ‘Start the week’ promoted the view that the many ISIS women in refugee camps should be repatriated to Europe. This was not clearly stated, but the poor darlings, it seemed, were merely looking for a ‘structure’ which would give them a role of some sort, presumably not provided by ‘the West’ -but instead offered by the Caliphate.
We are expected to overlook this little error, and be kind enough to let them all back in- hint, hint?
I do wonder whether snuff, who recommended listening to this programme, but warned us that there was ‘an agenda behind it’, came to the same conclusion as I did?
With a MSF doctor and a Kurdish sniper on the same programme, it was quite interesting, I have to agree.

As the final ( hopefully ) piece of territory occupied by Isis is wiped out we ll probably hear some claim by MSM supporting their terrorist .
I was wondering if some member of the beeboid monarchy such as Adie, Sweeney, Ducet, et all might go out there but I’m guessing BBC health and safety would prevent it
Otherwise we’d be having appeals and airlifts to bring the Isis darlings home to ‘face justice ‘ nonsense – meaning a big legal bill for the taxpayer again and a free for all those lawyers who love ‘representing ‘ their friends ….

Beyond the internal physiological aspects, I had several near misses with my Mum, even in early stages.
She once tried cooking her lunch on an electric hob using a plastic colander. Only because her cottage was next door did I notice the smoke.
Went over and she was reading, oblivious. Sense of smell being lost is often an early indicator.

13:45pm The Age of Denial
\\ A Warm Winter
From credit cards to climate change, we bury our heads in the sand. Isabel Hardman explores our capacity to deny what’s in front of us. The idea of being “in denial” is well known to psychologists. But how does it operate at a community level?
The series begins in Norway, with a town where the response to the obvious impact of climate change was…silence.//
Is she the right wing Isabel ? ..no that is Isabel Oakshott
Hardmen does work on the Spectator, but also presents the BBC’s Week in Westminster show

Parliament can reject ‘no deal’, it can vote to ‘extend Article 50’, but both of these need the agreement of the EU.
The EU said right at the start that it wouldn’t negotiate a deal until we have left the EU. Extending Article 50 requires the agreement of ALL 27 other members of the EU. It is unlikely that they would agree as if we are still a member in May EU law requires us to provide MEPs, who will remain in place until the next EU election. So both of these votes are meaningless.
What these ‘clever’ remainers miss out is that arrangements are being agreed in case of a so-called ‘no deal’, in other words there is no ‘no deal’. Mrs May’s ‘deal’ is just a re-worked sucession agreement for countries that want to join the EU! Under such an agreement the candidate country agrees to align its laws with those of the EU while having no influence on any new laws. This is neither a ‘hard’ Brexit nor a ‘soft’ Brexit but a path to accepting ‘free-movement’, the Euro and no rebate.

As for health dangers – I would posit that the combination of ‘mums’ on the psychopathic ‘ get out of my way’ school run / charge with big 4x4s as well as the traditional after school knifings are a much bigger health threat than the air .

This afternoon I’ve had a leaflet pushed through my letterbox which is announcing some sort of march on Saturday 23rd. March, entitled put it to the people, to demand something called a peoples vote on Brexit.
Has anyone else had one? My first thoughts are that if this is a nationwide leafleting effort then who is behind it and who is funding it?
The only information about the instigators can be found on a website link on the leaflet which sets out details of the march and asking for donations.
There is a registered address for Open Britain at 21-24 Millbank Tower, London.
Is this a Beliar/Soros agitprop scheme?
I’m surprised they are bothering to target my area, I’m in Esther McVey’s constituency, because we voted to Leave and I’m not aware there has been any change of mind over that decision.

‘Open Britain’ is one of several groups operating out of Millbank Tower. Executive Director is James McGrory, chief spokesman for Nicholas Clegg during the coalition government of 2010-2015. According to this article from the New Statesman last year, it receives financial support from another group, called ‘Best for Britain’ (sic), which has received around half-a-million pounds from Soros:
https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/uk/2018/05/inside-headquarters-britain-s-anti-brexit-brigade
Generally speaking, political and campaigning organisations with the word ‘Open’ in the title are commonly linked to Soros’ Open Society Foundations, although there may be an element of indirection and cross-funding. The word ‘open’ is believed to mean ‘open for exploitation’.

Open Britain Ltd is a Mandelson operation, strangely got grants and donations worth almost 20M in 2015 and then blew the lot on themselves before Aug 2016. They didn’t have anything like that budget in 2017, but their accts for 2018 aren’t available yet, so sounds like they had a fresh installment of money to burn. Should be illegal in my opinion, how the hell can it be a limited company.

I avoid the BBC (not having a TV licence) but I see that all the headlines today were of the importance of saving the country following Gove’s treasonous cry that we should get behind May’s deal.
Right so the choices are either to stay in the EU, extend article 50 or go with May’s deal, which is effectively staying in the EU.
The establishment has won and democracy has lost.
This has been a masterful play by the globalists, the media and the establishment. Not only have they manipulated everything to get the outcome they always wanted, they’ve also managed to disenfranchise so many people and destroy our faith in democracy, that the voters that might normally keep them in check at the polls, have lost our belief in the system and will let them get away with anything in the future.
I won’t vote for the Tories again and if I vote it will only be for UKIP but we know that this vote won’t really mean anything.
As I say the establishment gets a 2 for 1. Gets to stay in the EU and remove/cause the disillusion of so many voters to the point that they probably won’t vote again. I mean when you are witnessing this wholesale betrayal right in front of your eyes and attempts to alert people to it are like screaming in an empty forest, what other choice do you have but to draw back from it?
At least in the US, Trump gives you a solid side to root for. Here, we have just a handful of MPs and nothing else.
I despise what this country has become. A drunk on power state broadcaster telling everyone what to think, a hysterical screaming SJW minority governing every facet of our lives, a proud culture being undermined, smashed to pieces and dissolved in front of our eyes, a ruling class with nothing but contempt for those beneath them and a never ending deluge of PC infotainment.
I know it sounds like the crazy ramblings you would hear from the old guy living upstairs, but we really are sleepwalking into a dismantling of everything we know and when it has happened, few will be able to trace when it started and how to put it back together again.
If I won the lottery, I’d leave this country in a heartbeat and go to either Singapore (warm, strong, take no shit) or somewhere like Idaho that’s solidly Republican and I can get some guns, a big truck, a ton of fresh air and not be force fed this soul destroying nonsense.

I think it’s a little bit premature to say “ not voting Tory again’”.
If there is no change in the sell out then May must know that it will then become about numbers- from both sides of the Commons . Are there enough remainer MPs who will really go against their constituency vote and force through an amendment / withdrawal of the brexit legislation A50. For that to happen May would (surely?) have to go …. thus triggering a demand for a general election which in effect would become another referendum .
Withdrawing A50 would mean UK would be putting up candidates in the EU elections at the end of May
I know this isn’t directly BbC but is more important . .
I’d be delighted to be countered in my read but I just hope the whole things stays so screwed up that we leave through time running out …
If one tries to pull back from the time we are in there can be little doubt that whatever the outcome the stability of Blighty has been undermined and will continue to be . Even if we leave under RTO connditions and succeed in the coming year or two remainers will never accept any benefit from brexit
The EU will do it’s best to undermine us even more than it has done in the last 40 years since nice being tricked into joining .

FedUp – Is it premature. I can probably count on two hands the Tory MPs that have remained firm in this debacle. The party has been permantely damaged in my eyes. This isn’t a party that will generate another Mrs T but an ever diminishing series of spineless cucks slavishly devoted to their social media advisors and happy to sell this country down the road. They were creeping left to begin with but now they’ve added a complete disdain for the voters to the mix. I might have faith in a few Tory MPs but I’m done with the party. They have become an enemy and not an ally.
We’ve seen flip flopping and apathy from a host of them like Gove, Fox and Leadsom.
I admire your optimism but we won’t be leaving on the 29th March on WTO. The establishment won’t let that happen, the withdrawal agreement will be extended but maintained so that we can’t have any Euro MPs and we will be stitched up. The vote two years ago that we will be leaving on the 29th will simply be changed or amended.
They can do what they want, they can tweak what they want and change what they want because anyone challenging them is dismissed as a Brexiteer heretic and silenced.
Hence my point stands, the simple clarity of the referendum result has become so distorted that many will just ‘check out’ from politics because the message from the apathetic members of public that ‘nothing changes’ has been proven correct.

From the Politicalite article linked by Stew Green Further up the page on the Muslim rape gangs and persecution of TR;
“One girl, trying to escape, cracked her skull as she jumped from a first-floor balcony. Other girls, who resisted, were dumped in the deserted moors, having to fend for themselves in bitterly cold weather.”
This system of ours must be judged one way or another.
Social care, police, media, parliament, government and the education system have to take a large portion of the blame for this sacrifice of youth. Muslims would not have been able to get away wit this in a just, properly-functioning society.

They dismiss the 2016 referendum as a mistake made by the ignorant masses and only a re-run will allow those, who voted to leave, the chance to rectify their terrible error. If Brexit is not achieved then it will give the EU carte blanche to impose upon us anything they want because they are now fully aware that a majority of our politicians, and media, are a weak bunch of pathetic and complicitous traitors.
