Got to hand to the failed PM – she got her pal – the head of the CBI – a nice gong as a reward for spending 3 years spreading lies through Project Fear .
I’m sure she now has all the experience needed to sit on the Board of the BBC or Electoral Commission or similar corrupt outfit designed for the swamp …
Update – and Warning —//- bad word to follow here ——- I made my first and only formal complaint t against the BBC for broadcasting the term “ bollocks to brexit “ in an interview on the world at
One a number of weeks ago .
I have received a final reply from the BBC saying they are unable to complete investigation of the complaint and given me the details of Ofcom should I feel like taking the matter further …,
Up2- I have a strange feeling that Ofcom is simply an extension of the swamp. Lotsa highly-paid (very diverse) beeb buddies, pretending to be ‘independent’ regulators.
However, it’s worth a try, just to see what the response is.
Yes I’m going to follow on because mine wasn’t a ‘vexatious ‘ complaint . What they allowed to happen was really wrong.
However , now that we’ve heard a list of amoral confessions of drug abuse by wealthy men who rule over us and tell us how to vote , I suppose hearing on of that embarrassing Lib Dem bloke who does the dancing use a bad word on Sunday lunchtime doesn’t count for much .
Almost as bad was hearing bubble apologists on the BBC today coming out with crap about ‘no ones perfect ‘ and ‘ we were all young once ‘ .
I’m sure the BBC will justify drug abuse by contemporary politicians by referring those from the past …
Fake
I think someone here a while ago listed the number of OFCOM board members receiving pensions from the BBC … another job of leaving personal views and interest at the door – right ?
Just got a reply to my complaint about the biased coverage of the visit of President Trump. Two paragraphs telling me I was wrong, then five paragraphs telling me the legal position regarding the license fee and two paragraphs threatening me if I watch live TV without a license. Scum!
They have a problem with my complaint because from my read of their code of practice ( saddo eh?) there is a clear breach .
What should be the punishment for mr Mardell and his groupie editors ?
Perhaps if they don’t read this blog already perhaps a requirement to read the entries for a month to see what people really think of their State Broadcaster
I usually check the news on the pc a couple or three times a day, just to make sure that nothing really nasty has happened.
I’ll occassionally look at the bbc site, but not for long, (very boring and badly presented too), preferring the posts here, which are normally informative, often funny, and delivered by ladies and gentlemen whom I’ll never meet, but like their style! I even don’t mind dear Maxi, as she at least stirs the pond a little, and good luck to her!
But, getting back to my statement, why on earth does The Daily Express and The Daily Mail spend so much time on Megane Mickle ‘stories’?
I really have absolutely no interest in the girl, or Harry for that matter, but these piss-poor anecdotes are getting to be a bit farcical, and yeah, I know the online stuff is free, but perhaps just one pic and a few ‘spoilers’ is surely enough for anyone who even cares a monkey’s about what they all get up to at our taxed expense!
Luckily the advertising gets binned by a prog on the pc which works in the background, but I’d rather like something where it could delete all the boring sycophantic stuff about very minor, uninteresting royals as well…
If anyone could do one on bbbc bias as well, I’d probably buy that too!
I assume that the Daily Mail gets the Meghan Markel press releases which are then cheap to fill their website. Apparently she is popular in the States (cannot remember where I read it) so presumably these stories go down well with the American audience.
I just go straight to the comments. There is rarely a positive one about her. (Well occasionally the top comment is but then it is so obviously out of kilter with the other comments it has obviously been doctored).
That’s the right idea, Deborah, and the only reason I don’t do that is that I really can’t be arsed…
Perhaps I should, because, like here, comments are just a marvellous way to read real feelings, and I have to be honest, the plonkers on the Kent Messenger sort of idiocy (you know I live here), are just so dire…
I like your posts, they hit the spot and while I spend few minutes on the bbbc stuff, a proper glance at good people’s posts makes up for the indifference of an awful bbbc, – and sky presumably, but we don’t pay for all that krapp!
Newspaper websites are a classic example of ‘killing the golden goose’.
Until I installed an ‘adblocker’ I found them impossible to view, they were slow to load and the ‘focus’ kept jumping away from what I was actually trying to read, at which point I would close the page.
An advert to the side, a link to a video, fine. I might even read the advert and watch the video, but this deluge of drivel must surely either turn people away or cause them to block it?
Similarly who makes these stupid videos, usually on health related matters, that ramble on for thirty minutes, never quite getting to the point, (‘top ten health tips’), until finally going for ‘the big sell’. If they haven’t ‘got you’ within the first fifteen seconds another 15 minutes won’t do it!
But then these people probably work for the MSM too. Titanic – The New Evidence (Channel 4 repeat), told us hundeds of times that there had been a fire in the coal bunkers and showed us the same enhanced photographs over and over linked with lots of flashing lights and that’s it. Fifteen seconds is all they needed.
V
“enriched”.
The only talent blacks have is for contaminating and polluting every society unfortunate enough to have some blacks living there.
When the blacks are running the society the consequences are dire, eg Haiti.
They could not run a bath, frequently because there are no baths.
Just switched on the TV some new game show, 4 blacks, two very camp men and a white couple, this must be…yep..its BBC1 showing our 85% white hetero population who pay the icense fee
Der Starmer was the same, Doobs, on Any Qs. Rabbiting one minute about importance of Remaining in EU for environmental issues then talking about job security & prosperity, think he even name checked a car company or two. Obviously oblivious to the fact that the EU States are keen to stop new petrol & diesel from 2030. We have set 2040 for UK but if we did end up Remaining, am pretty sure we’d be forced to adopt the 2030 cut-off.
We might also be asked to give up driving on the left side of the road too.
MSM still has s bee in its bonnet about the idea of closing parliament in order to ensure the a50 expiry takes place without anti democratic interference before 31 October .
Being a non fan of Westminster I think the idea of closing it is very attractive . Naturally the MSM would have a great time moaning but if it’s legal why not do it . Bercow , grieve , Soubry, Cooper Balls et all have used all sorts of tricks to frustrate the majority so why not fight back .its war .
“Five things we have learned from Trump’s state visit” – BBC News.
1. The bbc is biased and hates him.
2. The bbc is biased and hates him.
3. The bbc is biased and hates him.
4. The bbc is biased and hates him.
5. The bbc is biased and hates him.
By that reasoning only straight men and women should be playing straight roles. If that was to be the case I suspect 90% of all actors would never work again.
Getting increasingly sick of the blatent misuse of “divesity agenda” which is meant to reflect the society we live in not show black faces at every opportunity and have a majority black and black asian TV and MSM
It is a demographc lie peddled to us daily
This will do nothing but create a totally justifiable resentment from the 85% majority who I hope soon will start demanding their demographically based “rights” of representation
My TV viewing is limited to weekends on someone else’s set and then to as little as possble.
About the only tolerable stuff is old episodes of Frasier but I couldn’t help but notice that Channel 4, (the new BBC 3?), seemed to be advertising, cor blimey innit yo man, a new series where people of colour are the heroes of Victorian London.
Thanks to what must be confirmed as the most craven, indecisive and inept government in recent times, history is about to repeat itself. When Cameron promised the Referendum in 2015 it was as a direct result of the fear created by the threat of UKIP. Politicians were far more concerned, as usual, for their jobs and perks than the country they represent so they conspired to ‘give the people some cake’ in the hope that the nasty problem would go away.
The Brexit Party is the end result and once again our government are hiding from reality, desperate for TBP to go away.
How else could any political observer explain the total lack of response to the Peterborough by-election, where through clear and rampant chicanery, predominantly via rigged postal votes organised en-masse by Pakistanis, an expected and predicted victory for TBP was unaccountably lost by a handful of votes?
The government is once again petrified by the prospect of an anti-EU party gaining significant popular support and are allowing an appalling distortion of democracy to take place unchallenged, simply because it suits their agenda. They are also evidently quite prepared to accept that the Opposition – itself steeped in underhand, immoral and illegal parliamentary behaviour – have gained another MP by default.
Political cowardice is bad enough, but to provide such a transparent and blatant example while at the same time celebrating and remembering D-Day goes beyond shameful.
Interesting piece on the BBC news this evening.
Did you know that eating “bush meat” in Blighty is on the increase?
I can’t think why…(ahem)
The effusive news anchor told us that chimpanzee is considered something of a delicacy and is very popular at weddings. Hmm…
I’ve got to say it’s not been offered at any bloody wedding I’ve been to!
Sarnies, sausages on sticks, a chimp chop…
No thank you!
She is a wonderful lady ! And they faced all the same Project Fear nonsense in Norway in 1994 and won 52-48% – now support for staying out EU well over 70% https://t.co/3OuIaYTZNV
Surely it depends on what it is replaced with and how that is administered?
VAT is still a burden, albeit a well established one, but it affects everyone in the supply chain (mostly with no direct benefit to the Exchequer), poses problems for businesses with exempt and non-exempt sales, and causes many smaller businesses to limit turnover in order to stay below the registration threshold. Then there are the well publicised VAT rate anomalies, particularly with food and in the building industry. VAT advisors love it.
It used to be expensive to collect on ‘pence per pound’ basis (not sure what the current figure is) and it gives HMRC lots of excuses to interfere.
Governments tend to like it (lots of underhand ways to increase Revenue), which is why it is copied outside the EU. I’m not sure that is a good recommendation.
Scrapping VAT is hardly a new idea. Those that promote it believe it will give a much needed boost to the economy.
Perhaps they could remove the tax on certain “essentials”. That could assist low income families.
The tricky bit is where government gets the money from if they scrap it.
As to your question “What exactly is he on??”
I think we all now know the answer to that…
Shouldn’t the swamp rats be asking us if we want Vat to be replaced? I suspect most of us would welcome the significant reduction in the cost of buying stuff and resent it being replaced by a tax that fills the chancellor’s coffers rather than the EU’s.
j-i-c, what we really need in the UK is wholesale tax reform, right across the whole of taxation. The system is broken. Just tinkering, as Gove would do, will not be enough.
There is a more urgent problem, that is switching the Fuel Duties back to Income Tax and the likely media howls and Green Blob rage that will immediately follow that move. It has got to be done. Fuel duties will soon be no more. They are already in decline.
Then there is the High Street problem. Dealing with the Business Rate. Also with Council Tax. The Community Charge really needs to make a comeback (it was a really good idea but appallingly implemented) but the Tories will not have the guts to do that nor, I suspect, the brains to do it properly. That leaves a local Income Tax as the only alternative to Council Tax and the Business Rate.
They seem to have removed some recent stories entirely (Boris Johnson cleared in court/ did not go to court/ whatever) but left other stories up there for all to see (Labour hold Peterborough ect)
Also nothing on the recent news that Bojo is threatening to refuse to pay the UK divorce bill unless it is ‘on our terms’ which hints that this could be bad news for the BBC.
I have to laugh at some of the stories up from the left wing news sources today.
The Guardian point out that Corbyn defends his new (suspiciously) elected MP claiming that she is ‘not racist’
The Independent are convinced that Corbyn will be the next PM (same stories have been running since 2017)
While The Mirror are now telling us that by possibly closing parliament this year to allow No Deal at some point would mean that Britain would be ‘heading towards a dictatorship’
Funny, was allowing MPs to vote against leaving the EU not a dictatorship tactic?
Now we all know that the BBC ignore balance when they chose which rags to use for stories so which of these stories would they focus on today?
ITTB has the latest stats on how trying to persuade the BBC that it is as bent as a €9 note works out, replete with them conceding a nothingburger so they can persuade idiot MPs they are not 110% bent. Just 105%.
It was interesting reading that. Going back to reports from the election aftermath two years ago and how the BBC switched from Lib Dem to Labour. People were then questioning if May really was a good PM and that Johnson ‘should be PM instead’ which does seem to be the case now but the BBC have been pro Corbyn ever since and the bias is just going to get worse and worse
Politicalite cannot name the many residents who have alleged electoral fraud took place during the by-election, but a full complaint, including their claims, has been put forward to the electoral commission to investigate – although, taking past attitudes and ignorance into consideration, we hold little hope that any action will be taken.

With respect – all petitions – complete waste of time : how can anyone have any respect or belief in that place . Signing it will make them think they are legitimate .. they are not …
It was posted earlier on here that Liebor won in Peterboro’ because they managed to get out the inner city vote. Here is Rod Liddle’s take on it…
“But Labour won by running a tight campaign and organising a postal vote for a section of its voter base, not least for the city’s sizeable immigrant community.”
I know it is not at all “Presidential” to hit back at the Corrupt Media, or people who work for the Corrupt Media, when they make false statements about me or the Trump Administration. Problem is, if you don’t hit back, people believe the Fake News is true. So we’ll hit back!
Watched MSNBC this morning just to see what the opposition was saying about events of the past week. Such lies, almost everything they were saying was the opposite of the truth. Fake News! No wonder their ratings, along with CNN, are WAY DOWN. The hatred Comcast has is amazing!
Re the idea that prisoners join Muslim gangs inside prison for a kind of protection.
Outside prison there is another gang people join for protection : the Metropolitan-liberal-mob
As long as you keep giving the secret signals that you are in the gang
.. you get special protection from the establishment from media
say if you’ve been a bit of a sleazy groper working in a big charity etc.
Those secret signals include signalling you hate Trump, Farage, UKIP, Brexit and shouting “fascist” at anyone not in the gang etc.
As usual, James Higham at Orphans of Liberty exposes information that the swamp rats in the HoP and MSM would rather suppress.
The question I have is will anyone who can, do anything about it? Especially before the next General Election?
Peterborough needs to be investigated, postal voting needs to be suspended and voter ID needs to be mandatory. And voters need to be present at the voting stations and show their faces.
Perhaps the ultimate irony of Peterborough is that the result only confirms the dreadful truth of what politicians continually bleat about: ‘Losing public trust’. At the same time while feverishly promoting ‘diversity’ they allow the ethnic group with the lowest known and confirmed level of probity to take the piss – and then no doubt accuse anyone complaining of their behaviour of racism.
Government? Cowards and charlatans, the lot of them.
Beltane
The swamp rats need draining from the House of Comedians for they have brought democracy into disgrace.
Vote for the Brexit Party to bring sanity to British politics and to get rid of Al Beeb with its propaganda.
Peterborough ? ‘I smell a rat’.
I think we could do with reassurance that our democracy is not corrupted. Perhaps it would be an idea to give the Electoral Commission a rest for this one?
That said there is little to be done if a group agree to share a block vote – this is fine if the individuals are entitled to vote, their vote is secret and have not been bought nor threatened.
Thinking on, using Peterborough as the most recent catalyst and from what others have said on the subject, I think it’s the cynicism that’s the worst aspect.
It’s the fact that our establishment, politicians, civil servants, the judiciary, police, local government, even the NHS, all know what is going on and have done for decades – and are not prepared to do anything about it.
Meanwhile the Greens form a ‘bulwark against hate’ – without wondering where the hate stems from and why.
Always find it fun when J’Obsworth, who happily allowed the bbc to employ him until even they realised lack of accountability has limits, drops the BBC right in it, only not how he hopes with who he thinks.
If I set up an ‘Institute of Political Affairs’, registered as a charity, refused to disclose donors but sought to influence public policy on their behalf by lobbying politicians & infiltrating media, who at the BBC could detail the criteria for getting interns on air every week?
That’s daft cos the BBC is full of lefty/green NGO’s who don’t declare their funders
Right orgs tend not to name their funders
cos if they did the Alinkky left mobs would use intimidation against those funders and their families.
Mark Mardell invited Greg Clark onto the programme to say how important the UK car industry is to the Government of the Day. The BBC have been stirring things up, ie. asking Tory leadership candidates what they would do for the so-called UK (actually it’s multi-international) car industry.
Funny. Don’t they know there’s a Climate Emergency on?
Greg Clark thinks the listening public – made up of voters Greg, hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink – are stupid. He therefore witters on with same strange, almost meaningless platitudes.
We have had the BBC telling us, for years & years, that the motor car is evil, aided & abetted by various other politicians. In addition, we – the public – have been taxed to death over the motor car, from long before AGWs and CCs and CEs were a distant gleam in ExtremeMentalistEnviro’s eyes right up to the present day.
So we have stopped buying the wretched things.
And guess what, Mr Clark, the taxation has worked! It has made a lot of people poorer, those people in the lowest nine income deciles, and now as Liam Byrne would say ‘There’s no money left.’. In addition, a Prime Minister who is now famous for her stupidity and will go down in history for it, has decreed that no new petrol or diesel fuelled vehicles will be built and sold in the UK after 2040. In reality, that means after 2035 to 2038-ish.
Do you know when that is, Mr Clark? No, I thought not. It is under four production cycles away. Put it another way, it is about four General Elections away. General Elections when the Conservatives might hope to be in a chance of winning. Ha ha ha.
Here’s a thought Mr Clark: the car industry is in trouble because we have stopped buying the things. Young people, especially, are not learning to drive. They are choosing to live in increasing numbers in cities where they put extra pressure on housing, utilities, infrastructure and State services. They are not even using public transport because the cost has been inflated by taxation, yes, car taxation and also because of fears of terrorist attacks. They walk, or run, or cycle, to work and they use taxis, vehicles they hire.
Mark Mardell didn’t challenge you on any of that but the inescapable fact is that the public listening to you know all this. What you say will make no difference until policy changes are made. We, the listening and voting public, know that too. Not so stupid, are we?
Good video, thanks, and as one comment says:
“This proves that there’s no intelligent life at the BBC.”
Further to problems with language and communication more widely, this article discusses how the EU intentionally misuses the English language [a practice which the bBC enthusiastically emulates IMO].
It is only in the EU that “co-operation” means “integration”, “collaboration” means “subordination”, “unity” means “some people doing what others are telling them”, and “impossible” means “we’d rather not, thanks” (as with re-opening the Withdrawal Agreement, for example). Nobody else in the world behaves this way, and this is why the EU is stagnating and fraying. It is trying, and failing, to change the rules of the game.
Werter – The blind obsession with ‘equality’ – the core value of Socialism- lies at the heart of many problems. For one thing, it causes common sense to go out the window.
The core value of Liberalism is a concern for freedom, NOT equality.
Because we would all like to be treated fairly, confusion has arisen: ‘fairness’ is equated with ‘equality’.
Being treated fairly does not mean being treated equally, without regard to the situational variables.
When I’m in Rome, I try to do as the Romans do; I do not expect them to adapt to me. It’s their country.
“Two Tory leadership candidates have clashed over whether they would shut down Parliament early to force through a no-deal Brexit.
Esther McVey said the measure was part of a “toolkit” that could be used to ensure Brexit is delivered on time.”
“But Michael Gove said such a move would be “wrong” and contradict “the best traditions of British democracy”.”
I keep reading, on this website, and others how clever Gove is.
He must have taken to the narcotics again.
WTF does he know or care about “the best traditions of British democracy”?
He has spent the past three years being anti-democtratic.
What a ****, as are the many MPs who support him.
We can permanently write this Socialist Party off. Pay no heed to their, soon to happen, pseudo-pauline conversions.
Time to vote Nigel and his troops.
Time Gove and Co were breaking rocks on Dartmoor.
The very same Michael Gove, ex Minister of Justice, slammed for hosting a drugs party hours after writing an article condemning the use of the Class A drug;
While I think about it, regarding the bizarre political equivalent of I’m a celebrity…, to anoint/ appoint the next holy Prime Minister of the UK, have any of the swamp rats who are fighting like ferrets in a sack ( I know) told us what they are going to do with/ to commie Robbins?
Lol. Rebecca Vardy is getting a bit of stick for her tweet about equalty, but think she has a fair pointing be honest. BBC are always trying to shoehorn a woman onto football focus, final score , match of the day etc , so why no bloke ??

Ive never really fancied Gabby Logan…but the black bird in the orange is well fit?…and I would definitely give the bird on the right one?……nice arse?…..where are we going with all this?……..

Another important question to ask the contenders (not that any care or understand)
“Tory leadership question: Should UK stay in EU’s Defence Fund making us a ruletaker to reworked EU defence policy?”
We’ve emailed all campaigns but have received no answers. Only Matt Hancock has indicated a line on defence and security in a foreign policy speech, in which his line appears identical to May’s defence giveaway.

I think I’ve just spent a session in room 101.
On the 10pm bBBC1 news . From out of nowhere, Mischal ‘useless’ Hussein and Mark Easton rip into a big article on the wonders of unfettered mass immigration in Herefordshire. Attitudes have changed apparently. And any querying of the ‘benefits’ makes a person automatically a Far Right racist.
Trouble is, I’m rather resistant to brainwashing.
I’m guessing the girl is a trainee beeboid being groomed for greatness . You can see that she wants to attack rather than interview ….
And that other decent nations are taking note of what is going in Britain .

No government would want a healthy or fair inspectorate of TV,
Electoral process , NHS , prisons , —- make your own list .
They only go for issues with internal political drive – Lawrence Grenfell – Bloody Sunday – the West Indian boat people -hillsborough – and of course – persecuting ex soldiers for defending their own country . Mad times …
Did I get the impression they might be ‘wanted ‘? Someone tell the Garda – and cute innocent Rory wandering around tower hamlets = ‘courageous” minister .
He really is the high point of what the Tories have become – at least Ken Clarke has been embalmed
I think it’s time for us to all calm down and ‘snort a few lines ?’ And celebrate putting up a new Thread …
I hope that the Tory Party members and subscribers are watching what has become to their beloved party.
Time they voted and supported The Brexit Party .
Actually the change is not a new idea

“enriched”.
The only talent blacks have is for contaminating and polluting every society unfortunate enough to have some blacks living there.
When the blacks are running the society the consequences are dire, eg Haiti.
They could not run a bath, frequently because there are no baths.

Gavin Esler is the epitome of a “know it all” Remainer. They never let ACTUAL facts get in the way of their tiresome un-democratic crusade !!
Meanwhile, the boss of Ford, whom I am taking a wild guess knows a awful lot more than our Gavin states ….
Speaking on Thursday afternoon, the president of Ford Europe, Stuart Rowley, said that the decision was not related to Brexit.
“The simple way to think of that is: if Brexit had never happened, would there be a different decision? And the answer to that is no,” he said.
It’s like Gavin can’t read. Typical BBC type. Forget FACTS….It’s BBC OPINION that matters.

“”Michael Gove has set out plans to replace VAT after Brexit with a “lower, simpler” tax sale if he is elected Conservative leader.””
https://news.sky.com/story/michael-gove-pledges-to-scrap-vat-after-brexit-to-boost-economy-11738099
What exactly is he on??
Scrap it but replace it?
That should do it for him.

The State Broadcaster also headlines Gove VAT though makes sure we are aware that he did drugs in a previous career.

I’m guessing Gove would fund the gap in tax take with VAT abolition by legalising class A to Z drugs and taxing them …

Jeff, scrapping VAT is a very new idea while we are in the EU. It cannot be done while we are in the EU. EU rules.

Who is updating the BBC news website?

TWiT Weekend Watch #1

Further to problems with language and communication more widely, this article discusses how the EU intentionally misuses the English language [a practice which the bBC enthusiastically emulates IMO].
https://brexitcentral.com/dont-be-fooled-by-the-eus-disingenuous-use-of-language/

“Tory leadership candidates clash over Brexit strategies”
“Two Tory leadership candidates have clashed over whether they would shut down Parliament early to force through a no-deal Brexit.
Esther McVey said the measure was part of a “toolkit” that could be used to ensure Brexit is delivered on time.”
“But Michael Gove said such a move would be “wrong” and contradict “the best traditions of British democracy”.”
I keep reading, on this website, and others how clever Gove is.
He must have taken to the narcotics again.
WTF does he know or care about “the best traditions of British democracy”?
He has spent the past three years being anti-democtratic.
