The BBC still very excited by a few duplicate ballot papers sent out for the Conservative Party leadership election. It will be interesting to monitor R4 News & Current Affairs progs over next couple of days to see if the ever mention Peterborough, postal votes and Police investigations at the same time. I guess they will not.

    I wonder why?

Yes I noticed their concern too – especially the trumpeting about the Red Tory internal election not being subject to Election Law .
A mainstream media technique is to try to find something to undermine the credibility of a vote – when it suits them .

Obviously the outcome of Peterborough meets the interests of the MSM so we won’t hear anything about the anomalous use of postal votes . Nor will the State choose to find any evidence supporting corrupt electoral practices

I believe it is something called a ‘whitewash’.

The EU uttering words purporting to represent a fair society with deeds achieving the exact opposite.

The Newsnight interview by Emma Barnett and Ann Widdecombe is an excellent example of what is wrong with the media and the BBC in particular.

The EU parliament is of no consequence at all and is only worth reporting on to the extent that it might reveal what the direction of travel is, as expressed by the likes of Verhofstadt, and that there is some opposition ‘sur le continent’ to the great project.

Yet here Verhofstadt is right, Widdecombe is just clowning about and nothing she says will make any difference to the EU. So why is she on the BBC at all?

Well she is there to be told off for some imaginary offence to imaginary people, (neither Barnett or Lammy are offended, they love it). The made-up charge is presented. Widdecome points out that it is metaphor and part of a larger set of examples. Barnett, to show that she isn’t entirely stupid, completely acknowledges the point – and then goes back to it again and again like an idiotic Jack Russel biting the leg of a German Shepherd.

Emma dear, you lost the point, get over it. BBC you lost the EU elections, Brexit, Trump and the general election, get over it.

History lesson for the BBC and the fair and light-skinned Emma Barnett in particular: Slavery doesn’t defer to race or colour. e.g.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_the_Ottoman_Empire

‘Circassian girls were described as fair and light-skinned and were frequently enslaved by Crimean Tatars then sold to Ottoman empire to live and serve in a Harem. They were the most expensive, reaching up to 500 pounds sterling, and the most popular with the Turks. Second in popularity were Syrian girls, with their dark eyes, dark hair, and light brown skin, and came largely from coastal regions in Anatolia. Their price could reach up to 30 pounds sterling. They were described as having “good figures when young”.‘

      • BigBrotherCorporation says:

The Algerian and Moroccan corsairs really liked the fair-skinned English girls and boys too, which is why they’d sail up to the English Channel and launch nocturnal raids on the villages of the South Coast.

Missions were sent to negotiate (buy) the release of English slaves held in North Africa, their families would have to raise vast sums in cash, and others saw it as their Christian duty to help raise funds for the poor who couldn’t afford to buy back their own kin.

Unfortunately, if the slaves had ‘turned Turk’ or ‘entered the harem’ of one of their captors, they were considered ‘out of reach’, with many allegedly being disposed of once they’d outgrown their youthful attractiveness, by being tied in a sack and drowned in the sea.

One of the easiest ways of seeing a BBC agenda, is in sport. The
women’s agenda is obvious to see. The women’sWorld Cup final between USA and Sweden is 100 times more important to the BBC
than the men’s World cricket cup. The tennis at Wimbledon is a bit
different. The ladies singles of course takes pride of place. But
the mixed doubles now is giving the ladies a run for its money.
Of course the BBC is besotted with Serena Williams who ticks
every box imaginable so far as the BBC is concerned. Of course
her escort Andy Murray is part of the equation.
With 75% or more news presenters and reporters and with women
outnumbering men in everything we see , with the exception of
Match of the Day. Even there I believe that Gary Lineker’s days
    are numbered.

Straight after I thought a sofa slug was going to explode with glee on reporting a UK Washington embassy leaked memo critical of Trump.

An impartial broadcaster would have said “they wouldn’t confirm nor deny if they stood by the contents”. Though how would that fit the narrative? Far better to sit there pulling faces.

Just saw a tweet posted by the eminent Guest Who on the previous page containing a photo of the royal couple with their newly-baptised boy.

Problem is, the photo is black and white, so whoever took it on whatever device, had to fiddle with the device to switch it from colour to black and white – unless of course they were using an old camera from the 1950s.

So here’s the question – or rather a few of them:

    1. Did the royals instruct the photographer to go back to the 1950s or earlier or did he/she so decide?

    2. If indeed the royals so instructed him/her, were they trying to appear unpretentious, modest and solemn to suit the occasion?

    3. Was the original in colour and did some glitch switch it to black and white as it sped through cyber space to appear on this site?

    4. I’m not well-versed in the Christian faith. Is there some precedent here?

    5. Have I just gone colour-blind?

Ok, I’ll get my coat, but before I do perhaps I should ask the BBC what they think about the photo. Oops, I forgot they must still be sulking over not being invited to the baptism.

Having tried to wax eloquent in the above text, I clicked on the link provided in the tweet and found myself in a website by this Slate guy/girl. Scrolling down, I found a colour photo of the happy couple and presumably-baptised child, so I must apologise for perhaps wasting people’s time here.

Now I really will get my coat.

Emily Maitlis is paid hundreds of thousands for working part time, mainly reading an autocue.
Why do I say part time?
Because she has found time to write a book.
There can be no question that any sales she gets will be mainly due to the profile and hence free marketing she receives by appearing on TV courtesy of the licence fee payer.
So (in the interests of the very social justice she and the BBC consistently espouse) would it not be fair that she donates a significant percentage of her book earnings back to the BBC????

I see the usual media suspects including the BBC, Guardian and Independent are all coincidentally running front page with the UK Ambassador to the USA having loads of papers describing the Trump Administration as Inept “leaked”.

Oddly no one in the Civil Service seems to mind this at all!

Surely a top Civil Servant having lots of his documents “leaked” to the press and then he and his whole department shrugging it off should be a hell of a lot more worrying than some bullshit about Trump?

Of course this angle is not mentioned by any of the “investigative” reporters at any of the rags. It seems to smack of sheer collusion to me.

We all know why they are doing it, hoping to goad Trump into stopping any trade deals with the UK and therefore threatening post-Brexit Britain. it’s the sheer arrogance that is breathtaking.

I, too, caught some of Marr’s programme this morning – specifically the McDonnell puff-piece interview where the hardest questioning put forward by Marr was comparable to Andrex toilet paper adverts – i.e. soft and thick. At the end, Marr was simply reduced to repeating snippets of Labour Party propaganda and asking McDonell to agree with him how super it was.

What (perhaps unnecessarily) surprised me most, however, was on at least one occasion that I saw, when Marr hadn’t even set the context of the next question, McDonnell was nodding knowingly at Marr’s point, and was eager to answer….. before any point, far less a question, had even been put to him.

Now, far be it from me to suggest that perhaps McDonnell had been appraised of the questions he was going to get asked, but also the order in which they would come….

…. but it has been done before – perhaps most notably, for instance, when Hilary Clinton was given previous notice, by the left-wing CNN moderator, of the questions to be asked in the US primaries last time around….

….not that anyone in the alt-left-wing BBC would ever stoop to doing that, of course ! /(sarc) (Marr himself, remember, gave the game away about the BBC’s left-wing proclivites, describing it in some other terms designed to disguise the real political leaning of the BBC.)

Apart from Katie Hopkins, Anne Marie Walters and UKIP, is anyone on the right commenting on the TR verdict?

JRM commented on Friday on his LBC programme. He actually went down in my estimation as he approved of the Judges decisions and condemned TR . This is a very clever man who , like many others, hasn’t even bothered to look into any of the background of the case but simply jumped on the ‘racist, ‘nazi’ labels of the MSM.

He’s obviously not as ‘clever’ as he thinks he is, nor as ‘clever’ as many of us here used to think. The alternative is that he is complicit. The trouble is most of TBP bunch (the MEPs anyway) would probably agree with him.
          I despair.

This is why the Tories should never be trusted again. The last decent ones have already gone. I used to like Pritti Patel, IDS and JRM. But to be quite honest all their presence in the Tory does now is lend some respect to a party which only really cares about the feelings metropolitan elite and the rest of the country can go hang.
It is why I will never trust this party of traitors ever again and certainly wouldnt trust Boris with securing a proper Brexit any more than I would trust the BBC in telling me the truth.

Agree, which is why we should not accept Boris as the best of a bad bunch. The entire party has rotted.

Turns out that the ‘Luton’ couple arrested last week have been held on suspicion of planning an attack on Pride this weekend with a car and knives.

I’ll take a guess and say they’ve something in common with the ‘Birmingham’ residents protesting LGBT being taught at school.

Nothing on the BBC though, probably don’t want to spoil the fun.

It is reported that many AfD candidates have been banned in the state elections in Saxony on a technicality. This in the same week that TR was found guilty in a Stalinist show trial in the UK and very shady establishment characters were appointed to key EU posts. All of this confirms yet again that the progressive establishment right across the West will stop at nothing to shore up their hold on power. The law is used to attack their opponents, the MSM is used to smear them, electoral commissions allow dirty tricks by establishment to go unremarked upon but find technicalities to hinder populist candidates and parties. How much longer will it be before ordinary folks wake up to the way in which their democratic rights are being trampled by these progressives?

I’ve always taken the view that in a democracy there is never an excuse for resorting to violence. And even though it’s become abundantly clear that we no longer live in a functioning democracy, and probably never did, I have still felt that violence would be wholly unproductive as it would just give the authorities the excuse they need to clamp down.

That argument begins to break down when you remain non-violent but still the authorities crack down, on the flimsiest of pretexts. And I fear that were something to happen to Mr Robinson in jail, that could for many be the final nail in the argument for non-violence and that some serious disorder could arise. At which point a no doubt well-planned action will be put into practice by the State.

Things may kick off sooner than we feared.

Quick glance through BBBC “news” website saw article about the 14th anniversary of 7/7. The second sentence reads “Fifty two people died and 700 were injured when four bombs went off across the capital city in 2005.” I could see no reference throughout to the perpetrators- those pesky bombs eh??
