@RolandDeschain It works like this
Normally the holy talismans of being BAME & LGBTQ+
give the holder special protection from attack by lib-tribe
But Ngo was also carrying the poisoned-chalice of having opinions against lib-tribe, so that trumps the protection
He became less-equal-than instead of more-equal-than.
Because the BBC wants you to know it’s not just them that think Trump is inept… “everyone thinks Trump is inept” in the BBC Utopian multicultural fantasy bubble.
Of course all this really shows is that the foreign and commonwealth office has been infiltrated by Marxist activists like the BBC.
What a sad state of affairs the UK is, is there any institution that is unaffected by these morons?…
… a while back even the army was putting out recruitment adverts telling soldiers they could cry, and that Muslims could pray in the middle of a battle and the other solders would defend them.
Political correctness in general and the BBC specifically are a cancer
I think Jon Sopel in the BBC1 news studio at 10pm news was suggesting or raising the possibility that someone who wants Nigel Farage to become ambassador to the United States may have leaked the present ambassador’s words. He did say it had a very small circulation.
Someone may correct me on this because I only had one ear to the tv.
The leaker should be dismissed with no pension. The damage will be considerable. The President does not forgive or forget. Why should he?
At the very least the ambassador needs to think about his position.
It seems the leak went direct to the BBC. That also means heads must roll at that pernicious dump.
Diplomacy requires that at all times people behave correctly.
What a B idiot that Ambassador was for writing such Emails-yes he should be dismissed forthwith and given a dam good verbal hiding when back in the UK-for goodness sake let us keep our dirty washing with ourselves and not publish it all over the World. The ramifications will not be pleasant I’m certain.
Tarien
I think it is all in the situation – the Ambassador is due to retire shortly…he doesn’t give a T**s. Probably hoping it will affect POTUS election campaign..oh for those days when you could trust diplomats to be diplomatic even in writing…The BBC love it though
Irrespective James he should care a T… he was an idiot first class-take away his title, forfit his severnce pay and stick him the stocks outside the H O P-No deterents to keep any of us in line and so society is let to run amock. Yes I get the drift into the abysssssssssss.
This Ambassadorial e-mail thing is just a tad suspicious.
Moi? Conspiracy Theorist? Moi again?
I could not possibly comment.
1. When I was a lad, before the war and all that, such reports will have been on paper and sent in the Diplomatic Bag. I have no indication that that is not still the case.
2. Why full blown reports were sent via e-mail and why they were for wide circulation ie. other than PM, SoS, Permanent Sec., Perm.Under-Sec and maybe possibly one or two top security people in MI6 & GCHQ, I can only speculate about. It seems totally bizarre.
3. The ‘leaked e-mails’ actually do not tell us, the public, anything we did not already know a) from listening to the BBC R4 N&CA over the last two and a half years, and b) from experience of the past US and past & present UK Governments.
4. The ‘leaked e-mails’ actually do not tell President Trump anything he did not already know from his own rat-bag media (with a few honourable exceptions) and from our rat-bag media, especially the rattyiest and baggiest of them all, ie. Soapy and his employer and from various books published by various authors.
5. What are the possible benefits to be accrued from the leak. Two elections in process now: Conservative Leadership & US Presidential Primaries. For the latter, this is water off the President’s comb-over. For the former, it could be an attempt to discredit either candidate.
It could be a Bojo supporting CS who thinks Bojo’s been unfairly treated and so they hope to discredit Jeremy Hunt as For.Sec.. It could be someone, willing to be caught and sacked, who claims to be just that – a Bojo supporter – doing just that but really doing it on behalf of Hunt, with the result of Bojo being tarred as cheating to win the leadership. Both of those seem a bit far-fetched to me.
The other option would be someone who is working to subvert Brexit and sees the resulting furore casting doubt on the legitimacy of the Conservative leadership contest and the rightness of pursuing Brexit in those circumstances. Who would gain from that?
It is interesting that listening to this being covered on both TOADY and TWatO today, those three possibilities seem to have occurred to Beeboids but no-one had the guts or the brains, or both, to pose – on air, out loud – to Political Correspondents and other contributors, the $64,000,000,000 question: ‘Could it have been a leak from No.10 Downing Street or could it have been authorised from there?’
Theresa’s Revenge No. 3? (Or are we up to No.4 now?)
After Ed Snowdon, it is surprising that any competent person would not know that everyone’s emails are monitored. This must be particularly so for anyone working in an embassy, particularly in the UK and USA. The US even monitored Angela Merkel’s smartphone.
Now Darroch must have thought that he was going to outsmart everyone by encrypting his emails. But surely he must know that the only encryption allowed is that which has been sanctioned by MI5, GCHQ, NSA etc. And they have the keys.
This is incompetence.
Pres Trump has nothing but contempt for this man. And “American sources said Sir Kim’s position was “not tenable” and that he had “simply made himself unfit to represent the British Crown and Downing Street”, given the memos “are replete with demonstrable falsehoods, which mean that no one will ever take ambassador Darroch seriously again.”
Yet May supports Darroch. Thus rises the suspicion that the leak was deliberate, to offend America and make us run back to the EUSSR.
Jip… It is called salami slicing and was dreamt up by an Italian communist called Gramsci. It is a deliberate tactic employed by the Left to infiltrate and take over the institutions of Government and of a country one by one and it has proved highly successful . I remember back in the eighties and nineties it was a joke that the media and especially our beloved bBBC only put job adverts in the Guardian . Well we are not laughing now and the results are obvious to see.
The only upside of that tactic as far as I can see has been this website.
When do the emails date from ?
My guess the phrase ‘inept Trump administration’ dates from very early
.. yet the media want us to think it was last week.
It may mean that they see a better future with a reduced bbc, which would eventually turn into some sort of pay-as-you-go ‘service’, and that would mean an increase in dead-tree income.
However, whenever I get a newspaper (usually a Waitrose freebie if you spend a tenner deal), I now feel slightly guilty when it’s rolled up to chuck away, and realise that that 18″ tube of paper was once a growing tree.
Remarkably opinionated news reporting on BBC 10pm News. We were told as fact that Trump is “notoriously thin skinned” & the UK government had gone to great lengths to counter that & he was “dazzled” by the Queen.
Sopel then posed quo bono in respect of the leaks. Farage was the answer as he could become UK ambassador to the US – Was Sopel suggesting Boris would make such an appointment??
Moving on to the Greek election result the BBC reporter told us that anti-EU populism had been rejected & possibly it could be repeated in another country thinking of leaving the EU
For a guy who’s meant to have a ‘thin skin’ he seems to be doing remarkably well when you consider all the sh*te and childish nonsense that’s directed at him.
“Thin skinned” is one of Sopel’s pet phrases. That’ll be Sopel who tweeted roughly twenty times his thin-skinned indignation about a BBC cameraman getting jostled at a Trump rally. Whilst having eff all to say about Andy Ngo above.
Sopel is too dim to differentiate tactics from thin skin. It’s a tactic of Trump that if you attack him you’d better be prepared to get it returned with interest. Thus deterring many attacks in the first place, as Trump has a glorious talent for finding a name that sticks, because it resonates a truth about the person concerned. Such as Crooked Hillary or Little Rocket Man. In fact I think he enjoys it.
Sopel is one of the sorriest excuses for a journalist heading one of the sorriest excuses for a Bureau for the sorriest excuse for a broadcaster there is.
“Sopel is one of the sorriest excuses for a journalist heading one of the sorriest excuses for a Bureau for the sorriest excuse for a broadcaster there is.”
He’s got to take it out of someone.
Why wouldn’t he; he hates to watch any US newscaster doing their bit in front of camera as they are always so professional, sharp minded, always composed, always confident in knowing every thing about the piece they are about to go on air with.
In fact the US News presenters are the complete opposite of the amateur Sopel.
Bet he can’t wait for his US stint to come to an end then he can fly home to meet up with his fellow BBC buddies in order to form some kinda group-hug for comfort and reassurance from them that try to comfort him with these words:
“yes; Jon you are one of our most talented presenters so don’t you take any notice of the American reporters – they know nothing”.
Not sure where they get the anti populist theme from..the encumbent bunch were far left? So what has happened is the far left has been thrown aside for conservatives – and they have no idea what will happen re: EU ? BBC Badly Blathering Cretins
We were told as fact that Trump is “notoriously thin skinned”
What Pres Trump has had to endure in the last three years is beyond imagination. I cant think of anyone in the last 100 years as tough as Pres Donald Trump.
BBC news and views staff should be be sacked, or better still, assigned to reporting from Upper UIzbekistan .
“McDonnell: Labour should ‘get on with’ changing its Brexit policy” https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48899814
Labour are finished. They are not listening to the people, hence so many EU seats going to The Brexit Party.
Lessons to be learned ?
I hope you are right, because as far as I am concerned, the Labour party is nothing less than an organised conspiracy against the interests of the British people. They should be treated like any other organised crime gang.
Any one espousing Marxism should be treated as worse then Nazism. Marxism and its evil daughters – socialism and communism, killed far more people, men, women, and even children, in far worse ways then the Nazis. Such is there bloody record, it makes Nazis look good.
A report commissioned by the BBC in 2004 that they obviously ignored, no doubt because, as always, “We get it just about right”, (some say).
The knowledgeable minority tend to hold strong views and distrust the media and the establishment. They often focus on perceived corruption and deception within the EU and British politics as a whole. They express the view that the BBC is both pro Labour and pro EU. Indeed, they tend to feel that the BBC is in the government’s pocket, and relate this to the perception that this is linked with the licence fee and funding.
Jim
Ta for knowledge 54 pages of ‘nothing ‘. Being a bit thrifty about use of taxpayers ‘ money I wonder how much this report – from 15 years ago – cost and who commissioned it and whether they got a job with MORI after leaving the BBC .
Also of course – what is the relationship between MORI and the BBC. Who is in bed with whom ?
If Huw ‘if it’s summer l’ll be taking the groves of Umbria’ does not shuttle about Europe for his quarter year off by train, it might be a bit awks if Greta is borne into the studio for an audience on her palanquin.
The Labour Party’s lawyers are Carter Fuck. I cannot believe that the Labour Party is using the Church Of Scientology’s lawyers. https://t.co/6baP8hT3uB
The Absolutely Radio Show, proof that it is possible to do comedy without Trump, Brexit and Thatcher, (though they have erred in the past).
Shades of the old days with some clever word-play that is timeless. The little girl, ‘it is true’ routine has probably played out all possibilities now and is running on empty but apart from that not bad!
I love the idea of a ‘disloyalty card’, perhaps David Vance could market a BBC card for this site?
Another Londonistan weekend another murder inquiry . Well actually it’s not one – it’s four – 4. A national newspaper mentions this but strangely the BBC seems to be more interested in the captain of a foreign soccer team not wanting to meet her head of state after winning a tournament .
Sometimes I think the BBC finds domestic events a bit boring and down market when it gets on its institutional high horse over trivial comments by a snowflake remainer Ambassador over an American President on his way to a second term .
Back to the murder inquiries – when the 4 victims are named – I wonder how many will be ‘local’?
Friday evening in Birmingham I drove away from the house I was visiting and pass an elderly lady struggling to use a four-wheeled ‘walker’, her tan and clothing suggested Asian origins but immigrants are never old so I must be mistaken. Around the corner and six girls dressed all in black, with matching head coverings, are in the kids’ playground. Up the hill, past the madrasa. Three cars, all drived by Asians, pass by. Turn the corner, give way to a taxi, driven by an Asian, turn the corner, a young man, all dressed in white and young woman all dressed in black are sitting on a garden wall.
Four cars pass all driven by Asians. Pass a Whetherspoons, some white people appear to be in a pen on the pavement. Turn left, drive past twenty houses of which only three have white occupants. Arrive at destination, a house built 90-years ago, on farmland that was at that time outside the city boundary.
I should say that at no point did I see any of those strange black people that fill our TV screens!
But the top civil servants, grade 5 and above tend not to be , they are more like old fashioned Sir Humphreys who only want to deal with important people . And important people are running the EU , so they want Britain in the EU .
These top civil servants are like the knights in medieval times , who only recognised fellow knights from whatever country , and would ride through and even trample on the plebs in battle to get to grips with another knight .
Knight fought knight . Senior mandarins only talk to their ” equals ” .
Dover – whilst Blair took british institutions to the Left Obama was doing the same with the States . Mr Trump is dealing with the result there – hostile institutions – and if there is a Right Wing Tory PM ever – they’ll have to try and reverse the contamination of british institutions – such as the BBC .
Indeed! The problem self-perpetuates itself. Those in authority only recruit and promote those of the same political mind set.
But I don’t see Boris as a Trump. Boris will also have wars on a number of fronts to fight (if he chooses to).
The only good that comes of this all is The Brexit Party. Do they still exist? The BBC seem to have forgotten about them. Purely by accident I’m sure… 😉
Dover
Mr Farage had a shallow sparing job with our Justin on Toady . Justin did one of those “ I’m not really interested “ type interviews so didn’t bother interrupting much .
His only mission seemed to be whether N Farage would be UK ambo to the US – which is of course a non starter because he is needed here more .
If Tourette’s Robinson had done it I think Nigel would have tore him a News on and Robinson would have needed a change of his Tena.
lets face it; if the bbc doesn’t say everything is rosy and everyone from abroad is prefect – we all might riot, 1 day the lid will come off all this crap!
The more I hear about our embarrassing ambassador the more “iffy” it all sounds.
Apparently he was a known Hilary supporter (shouldn’t they have changed him?) and (surprise, surprise) very anti Brexit.
Who ever has brought these anti Trump missives to our attention seems to have been collecting them over a long period, waiting for their chance to cause maximum damage.
We’ve had civil servants poisoning our Brexit negotiations and now it seems another civil servant poisoning our relationship with the US.
There’s been some ludicrous conspiracy theories doing the rounds. Like this is a ploy to get Nigel Farage implemented as our man in Washington. Lovely idea; never going to happen, but it points the finger away from the obvious suspects. And they are those establishment figures who loathe Trump, hate the idea of Brexit and want to muck up any chance of a trans-Atlantic trade deal.
There’s plenty to choose from…
“loathe Trump, hate the idea of Brexit and want to muck up any chance of a trans-Atlantic trade deal”
Whether this proves true or not it all fits. The last thing the remainers want are the prospect of improved trade opportunities glinting outside of the EU. It must have been so annoying when Obama’s ‘back of the queue’ policy was lost to ‘project fear’.
It wasn’t exactly secret, we get a Brexit vote, May takes over from Cameron, Trump offers his hand and May bites it!
If she had really wanted to ‘brexit’ that would have been an excellent bargaining point, “My friend to the West has offered a good deal, what is your bid EU?”
I think the same way Jeff. A standout line from this mornings BBC report is when they described his career progress..
“During a 42-year diplomatic career, he has specialised in national security issues and European Union policy.
In 2007, Sir Kim served in Brussels as UK permanent representative to the EU.”
Well, he has been shown to be not much good at “security issues” and obviously has been deeply embedded with the EU. I think the conclusion that this is all a planned exercise is inevitable. Maybe he was planning a top EU post when his current role comes to an end and Brexit threatens this!
” Liston up everybody BIG BROTHER has some instructions. I
have been told that there is some men’s cricket competition going on.” ” It’s the Cricket World Cup Big Brother and cricket is the National sport of England and WERE in the semi finals!”
“Speak for yourself Smith , I am not interested in anything where
up to nine white men are playing in a sport which we don’t even cover on TV . I know we cover it on the radio but these instructions
are to be given to any English commentators we use. THEY ARE
NOT TO SHOW ANY INTONATION OF SUPPORTING ENGLAND!
Make sure that clown Phil Tufnell is not allowed anywhere near
the studio. I see that we are running a survey on who are the
best eleven in the tournament . Make sure there are no pictures
of any English players. I want an Indian, a Bangladeshi and I
suppose we better have an Australian,. BUT NO ENGLISH PLAYER. ”
” Yes Big Brother, anything you say.”
A bit back when the HoC laughed loudly at Cornyn his response was a nearly tearful “Just wait until September. You won’t be laughing then”. I wondered then what dirty deeds he was planning . McDonnell has let the cat out of the bag as played on Farage’s radio show. McDonnell said “We will be fighting a General Election in September.”
Clearly the only way that can happen is if the ZConservative government lose a vote of confidence and that can only happen if Hammond and his fellow egotistical remainiacs vote against their own party. For Cornyn and McDonnell to be so confident there will be an election it looks like Hammond or his cronies have already agreed a plan of action to defeat Johnson in August.
Johnson must make it clear that any Conservative MP that votes against their own party will automatically deselect themselves and will not be allowed to stand for the party in an election. Ever again.
Interesting idea and all down to timings . Since BoJo becomes PM the day before the Commons rises can they extend the sitting ? ( what criteria can berkow use to recall it before September 3?)
If BoJo loses a vote of confidence along the way we ll finally see if he really is a brexiter because a GE will be a straight fight between Remain and no deal brexit unless the EU try and seduce the soft brexiters .
If the remainers won a vote of confidence ( on sept 3 ) that would mean an election around 24 September leaving one month until A50 expires again .
Without a brexit Tory party brexit Party alliance v the rest brexit will be revoked by parliament using the legitimacy of the “ peoples’ Vote general election’.
I’m a pessimist and thought the original referendum would be fixed so it would be no surprise for democracy to be finally overturned and we brexiters are put back in our box .
This , of course , all depends on the EU still wanting us in . They’ll want our money but I don’t know that they’ll want us to continue to pain the Franco German axis powers
Demon,
In the past voting against the party on a three line whip vote meant automatic suspension from the party. It is only in the very recent past that Remainers have got away with it. I suspect that the likes of Hammond will have cooked up some deal with the Lib Dem’s in which they stand as a Lib Dem candidate or be unopposed by them at the next election which will allow them to bring the government down safe in the knowledge that they will have a good chance of winning their seat as a non Tory.
I am sure that the current get Corbyn for anti Semitism campaign on the BBC is aimed st replacing him with a Remainer labour leader. After all his antisemetism has been well known for a couple of years but the BBC weren’t out to get him. It’s not his grotesque anti Semitism pro Hamas et al stance that the BBC object to but his half hearted Remainer stance on Brexit.
But even the whipping system is broken because there have been votes where whips have voted against their own government and not been sacked . I kid you not .

From today’s BrexitCentral email I learn that Dom Grievous is thinking of tabling an amendment that would oblige ministers to make a statement to the Commons in October on progress in restoring devolution to Northern Ireland – which could prevent the next Prime Minister from proroguing Parliament as a means of delivering Brexit without a Withdrawal Agreement.
The BBC are set to have a 20 year love affair with their new tennis darling Coco Gauf to follow on from the sainted Serena. Lets hope she doesn’t come out as a Trump supporter or heaven forbid an anti trans in womens sport supporter. She’ll be dropped like a hot brick i’m afraid.
Yes, Coco Gauff can be the BBC’s new Serena/Venus/Pluto/whatever … but at least she isn’t Megan Rapinoe. I am sick to death of hearing about the role-model M.R. and her LGBTQIXYZ activism and anti-Trump opinions. How long before “MEGAN RAPINOE FOR PRESIDENT 2020”? Remember, you read it here first.
the dark arts are certainly being deployed………………..think about it
1) Robbins being overheard in the “pub” in Brussels
2) Boris & CarrieGate featuring the leftie nosey neighbour
3) Corbyn’s stroke
4) and Sir ” our Ambassador would appear to have **cked up”
It smacks of the same MO the bBC used with the helicopter at dawn over Sir Cliff’s house.
Mind you the pictures of Trotsky doing the sit ups might suggest no 3 is true.
The group commented on the criticism thrown at them for turning their backs on the EU Office Anthem. Their comment was that Parliament had turned their backs on 17.2 million Brexit voters.
ajs, sensor – that’s digital! Not having that modern stuff around here. Where’s the clockwork? pertelote needs something to wind up just in case he hasn’t got a Hermle or a Beeboid handy.
Anyone listen to R4 this morning – I didn’t get the start but essentially a chap who sounded like Black Christian clergy was being ‘attacked’ for saying he did not believe being homosexual was in line with the bible and did not like it. He explained that just because he held a view did not mean he would prejudice his action towards an individual – despite the BBC twit saying surely he would… wow a Christian being attacked because he holds the bible view….
BBC when do they ever put these charges to any Muslim? Never..BBC , Badly Beating Christians….
The UK ambassador in Washington was well out of order, using undiplomatic and extremely/excessively personal language, in what should have been sober and objective reporting.
The same thing could have been said in measured and balanced language.
Was he trying to ingratiate himself with the Foreign Office and Ms May? Thinking they would like excessive language about the President and it would make him a star?
He needs to be sacked. He can go and be a journalist for a tabloid. That would suit his powers of analysis and sense of the dramatic…
He certainly doesn’t have the stuff for a senior diplomat!
The fact that he is even there, says a lot about our FCO and our ‘ministers’.
Poor show!
It wasn’t his language that was out of order, provided it was completely confidential and addressed to very few people. An ambassador should be able to speak freely to his superior. If he can’t, through his own fault or that of some one else, the system is broken.
After Snowdon, anyone with half a brain should know that everyone is being spied on. Specially embassy staff. I’m certain MI5 and 6, and hence GCHQ and NSA were reading Darrochs emails before they got to no. 10.
The inept ambassador had swallowed all the lies of the Democratic party and its media allies. This ambassador is part of the ill educated idiot Swamp. He is now shunned in DC.
Lady Brooke on TWATO pushing the case for consultants who are choosing not to do extra work because ‘it costs them to do so’. She, and they refuse to explain that it is because they are in danger of breaching the lifetime pension limit. The 45 yo consultant interviewed has ALREADY breached the lifetime pension limit of £1.055 million…at 45!

Medics and lawyers share avarice as a professional requirement . However the sheer lack of brains which led to tax rules having a negative impact on punters because of the self interest of medics is pretty impressive .
I’m a non combatant in that I’m neither that wealthy or in those trades. But I do know that when tax policy is being formulated someone is meant to be clever enough to foresee the consequences . All should be foreseen .
If there are any tax lawyers here I’d appreciate a view but when I was studying tax law we were taught to look down on lesser breeds like criminal lawyers as ‘tax is where the brains go ‘.
Sadly I never became a tax lawyer as I had residual morality …
It used to be that medics and lawyers were ‘professionals’. What did that mean? It meant well paid, yes, but their allegiance was to their patient/client. However many did a lot of unpaid work for the poor, giving as much effort to their cases as the ones they were highly recompensed for. Then came New Labour and Tony Blair. Suddenly large numbers of people were taken into these ‘professional’ roles who were there only for the money. They expect high pay without the responsibilities that used to come with it. Young people go into medicine because ‘the pay is good’ or for women that they can go part time easily. We are reaping what we sowed.
We are still suffering the effects of New Labour, no morals.
Obama did the same in America, but on a larger scale. Thus we have Trump. And the Obama holdover judges and bureaucrats, fighting Trump tooth and nail to turn the USA into a socialist Open borders Venezuela.
Fed: “However the sheer lack of brains which led to tax rules having a negative impact on punters” now I wonder who that could have been? A Mr Osborne and a Mr Javid*, perhaps?
Oh dear!
(* Memo to Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt – whatever you do as PM, do not let this chap anywhere near No.11 Downing Street.)

They have been very quiet in mentioning that some earn shed loads from private work….off the back of them being in the NHS. I would love to see how many would earn the salary with perks just doing private practice..not many…
From Huffington post re Enfield stabbing. Can’t find this amount of detail on BBC. Seems to have fallen down the memory hole…I doubt he is “from Enfield” although he probably resided there.
“Liban Malhamoub, from Enfield, was charged in the early hours of Monday with four counts of attempted murder and one count of threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
The 44-year-old is scheduled to appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today.”
Dyst, this incident didn’t happen in Enfield Town or its environs. It was in Palmers Green (in the London Borough of Enfield but not in Enfield), down near the North Circular Road, so it appears the rest of the media has caught the BBC’s problem with geography.

They could spend the next 10 years (& billions) on preparing for No Deal and still UK industry would suffer significant harm. A lot cheaper & quicker just to hold another vote and call the whole mess off!
You see , this is what we are up against … these cocksure remainers so bloody sure of themselves that even if we did vote again, they’d win !!!. I aint so sure !! (although no doubt it would be fixed). Its just the sheer know it all arrogance of them that gets my goat.
Radio 4 news 1pm : Listening to Lady Brooke talking to Coptic Bishop about persecution of Christians in umpty countries around the world. I may not have been attentive enough, but I’m as sure as one can be that the words islam and muslim were not uttered once by either party.
Breakfast Today programme referred to there being a particular problem for Christians ‘in the Middle East and North Africa’. I don’t think there is a problem for Christians in Israel. I thought it was a neat way of avoiding any particular religion.
This isn’t politics … its 100%, plain, unadulterated HATE SPEECH. Iv’e said it before and i will say it again. If this was a right wing politician spreading this bile, their would be outrage.
Not only that, no doubt the platform they were using, would be removed. Its the Left tho … so anything goes …. oh …. and hes black.
The majority of those who will select our next Prime Minister support a liar, xenophobe and misogynist. They also back Donald Trump.https://t.co/PEi5zsQErC
It was settled in 2016 we chose to leave. It’s democracy. Whatevever the result of a second referendum why should it be respected if you ignore the first? We are sick to death of you anti democrats telling us our legitimate vote is worthless.

I'm looking forward to meltdowns from the intolerant so-called 'progressive' far-left, every time you guys freak out it's a sign we're heading in the right direction and both Brexit and Trump have been proven weather-veins on this.
David Lammy exemplifies the state of politics – dumbed down, bigoted, narrow minded, unsubstantiated opinions that he feels are worth sharing. Has he ever said or done anything that 1. is useful and 2. doesn’t play the victim card.
The BBC are reporting that our altruistic consultants in the worlds finest health system are throwing their toys out of the pram https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-48903913
‘NHS waiting lists surge due to pensions row’
What is conveniently overlooked by the statists at the BBC is that any public sector salary-related pension recipient can get a pension of £50k before the taxman bites. And this with no risk factor whatever, the pension is underwritten by the taxpayer.
A private sector worker could only get a pension of about £30k before the taxman bites. And the employee takes all the investment risk. So anyone for instance with Woodford Equity Income in their pension pot is in deep do-dos
It rather appalls me that dear Boris seems to think public sector workers ‘deserve more’. Against what benchmark or criteria?
BBC doing their best to big it up , as its the only sport they have the rights to now, i suppose they can’t help it. I think the correct term is, “flogging a dead horse” .
Sluff
The medical’profession ‘ / game is one of those occupations where the public tends not to look and gives the benefit of the doubt – in a similar way ( still ) to well healed beeboids preaching to people on less than 25 k about their need to give more to the charity industry – particularly overseas ones – with CEOs on above £250 k a year because they need ‘quality ‘ management …
One day a closer examination will be made of the financial practices of the ‘wonderful ‘ NHS and it’s consultants . Private Practice ££££££ in the morning and NHS contract in the afternoon – with the ‘outpatients’ running late because of morning ‘rounds ‘..
Fedup
How I laughed at your ‘running late for morning rounds’.
It is of course completely true but looks so funny written down.
I used to work for a chemical company. If I had told them that I only wanted to work for 20 hours a week because I also wanted to work for a competitor, they would have marched me off site with a cardboard box for my personal effects.
Yet this is what is allowed in the NHS.
The NHS of course exists primarily to look after the people who work in it. It is totally producer-led.
In other words exactly what you expect from a nationalised industry, and with over £100 bn a year to spend, it can spend lots on the unrelenting propaganda that convinces many gullible people that it is wonderful.
A long time ago I did some work on how institutions like the DoH / NHS could stop killing patients in the same way year after year with incompetent doctors supervised by incompetent nurses killing in the same way .
The conclusion i came to was this –
The same killing would be repeated because
1 they know best
2 it’s always been done like this
3 it’s only a patient
4 lose the records if they haven’t been fiddled with already
5 cover it up if there are no next of kin
6 if there are next of kin don’t speak to them
I’m sure if there’s an ‘ angel ‘ nurse on site they’ll counter what I describe . I’ve seen the NHS kill three people in front of my eyes but because of family ‘ issues’ I’ve been unable to pursue it . Or even exact revenge in the perpetrators off the books …
The elderly in UK, have this strange suspicion that if they are forced into a NHS hospital, they might not come out alive. Or if they do, it will be with an “End of Life” placard round their necks. I haven’t encountered this anywhere else in the world.
BBC acting as a free advertising agency for Global Warming alarmists
Sunday BBC Radio Lincolnshire *chose* to tweet this.
Always ask : Is it PR or is it news ?
A mock funeral service to protest inaction in the face of the climate emergency has been taking place in front of Lincoln Cathedral. @XRLincolnshire say they want to raise awareness about the county’s vulnerability to rising sea levels. pic.twitter.com/29PMwCcYAG

I had to look for this on Twitter because the BBC have it in ‘local news’. This is the beboids fav way of ‘hiding’ stories that don’t fit the narrative. Sky News mentioned it and I’m wondering if it appears on the BBC News at Six?
There is something wrong with that names database
It misses most of the 14 spelling variations
Mo and Md are left off
In 2017 there were 47 babies registered as Md My list of spelling variations used in 2017
“”Theresa May has ‘full faith’ in UK ambassador who criticised Trump””
“”Mr Trump likes to dish out insults and criticism (remember his frequent belittling of Theresa May over Brexit, and his all out verbal attacks on the mayor of London) but he is pretty thin-skinned when the verbal arrows are aimed at him.””
“diplomat” from “di-ploma”
A folded paper *sealed* to keep it SECRET
“As the prefix di- indicates, it was originally just a piece of paper (papyrus, parchment, vellum, whatever) folded in half.
Such things were issued in Classical times to travelers as letters of recommendation: the letter was folded and then sealed with an official seal so that the bearer couldn’t forge it, or even read it, without breaking the seal.”
An anti-free speech petition has appeared on the official website, signed by nearly 50,000 people so far. You can see where people are signing if you click on the map option.
Who is promoting that petition ?
I did a Twitter search on its URL
See how the first page screenshot shows only Muslim names and Muslim businesses full size image
… my tweet
The ‘leaked memos’ debate in parliament will be fertile ground for the BBC to distort the matter, and we will no doubt be bombarded with the bits where ambassador ‘spoke the truth’ about the Trump administration.
They have already picked the part they wanted to highlight –
The government "utterly deplores" the leaking of classified emails from Britain's ambassador to the US, says minister Sir Alan Duncan – adding that diplomats are "paid to be candid"https://t.co/0gYcfofb0Qpic.twitter.com/5rXSqECSmc
What we have to realize is that Political Correctness is an ideology, in the same way that Fascism, Liberalism, Communism or Socialism are. This is not always obvious.
So then we have to ask ourselves: what are the key tenets of this disguised ideology?
To begin with, like the four above-mentioned, you are required to stick to the ‘straight and narrow’, and -while there is lip service to Freedom of Speech- straying off and having ideas of your own (let alone expressing them) is not wanted.
The issues most obsessed about are race and gender.
The first key tenet is ‘fairness’/’social justice’. This is best understood as a blind obsession with ‘equality’. This is really a tenet from Socialism, but real Socialism is not blind. It remains a rational and reasoned approach, whether one likes it or not.
A Socialist is unlikely to obsess about e.g. there having to be a televised and equally-financed Women’s World Cup, just because the men have one.
A Socialist leader wouldn’t necessarily feel justified to let anyone and everyone cross the national border of his/her own country, just because its own citizens can.
A Socialist is keen on redistribution, but there is always method, rather than madness. The desire to do justice is NOT driven by guilt over some real or imagined past ‘inequality’. (In PC, usually resulting in overcompensation in the opposite direction…) So, for one thing, the GUILT merchants won’t be cashing in anywhere…
This is getting a bit long-winded, because I’m thinking out loud, so I will get onto the other tenets, ‘openness’, ‘tolerance’, diversity’ tomorrow. And the PC perversion of language itself.
Meanwhile, I’m going to reflect on whether I’m actually talking about PC as a RELIGION rather than an IDEOLOGY, which thought creeps up on me as I write. Perhaps it is a religion which has replaced the religion we thought we always belonged to in the past few centuries…
Any comments?
I agree, more in common with scientology than anything more mainstream perhaps? I think of pc as having the fervour of North Korean leader worship (just the fervour, no leader) married with the cold hearted illogical logic of national socialism. A coupling made in hell if ever there was one.
PC is quite different from hate speech where the latter is justly legislated for. PC is an invention of the left whereby one will be condemmed by one’s peers for breaking the ‘rules’. The only way to deal with it is to do what Trump and Boris have done and ‘take the hit’ from friends and the media etc. It is important for us all to speak fearlessly and clearly about the issues of the day but it does take a lot of courage.
An example is speaking out about what is ‘not alright’ from a faith perspective –
Israel Folau launches legal action against Rugby Australia | Sport | The Guardian ..and so he should..can’t wait to see RA taken to the cleaners on this wrong call..serves them right! https://t.co/8gKNl2xbL0
My thoughts are on similar lines. Once somebody gives up on a belief in God, I think they start to construct a religious belief-system to replace it. The ideas and ideals they espouse set these people apart from those who don’t share them. These new beliefs tend to convey a sense of superiority over those lacking them and, human nature being what it is, this can turn to contempt and outright hatred. Because these Godless folk have no moral accountability to a higher power than themselves they then consider they have licence to pursue behaviour against lesser mortals that Judaeo-Christian morality deems offensive to God, for example lying, lack of regard for others’ property and outright violence.
S-E, quite right. The famous (modern) quote is attributed* to G.K. Chesterton — ‘When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing in anything.’
However, it is a very old temptation, going right back to the beginning of humankind’s existence: “Did God really say that? Why don’t you become like him and find out? Go on, try the fruit. Aah, go on! Go on, go on, go on, go on!”
(* Niall Ferguson in the D.Telegraph claims that is wrong but does not suggest who actually said it as far as I can see.)
“We don’t really believe this administration is going to become substantially more normal; less dysfunctional; less unpredictable; less faction-riven; less diplomatically clumsy and inept.”
Rang a bell so I went back to Orwells’ 1984…
“Newspeak is to be spoken in staccato rhythm, using short-syllable words that are easy to pronounce, which generates speech that is physically automatic and intellectually unconscious, thereby diminishing the possibility of critical thought occurring to the speaker.”
Orwells “Newspeak” was designed to ensure the message always met and pushed the sentiments of the Ruling Classes.
digg ““Newspeak is to be spoken in staccato rhythm, using short-syllable words that are easy to pronounce, which generates speech that is physically automatic and intellectually unconscious”
so that’s where Jonny Dymond gets it from. I thought he was just a wannabe Dalek for Dr.Who.
An official is guilty of a crime if he or she “without lawful authority makes a damaging disclosure” of information about international relations between states, defence, law enforcement, or which falls into a class of information likely to damage the security services’ work.
Leaks are deemed to be damaging if, among other consequences, they “endanger the interests of the United Kingdom abroad”.
So guilt is obvious and it’s just a case of apprehending the leaker and hauling them into court for sentencing then?
Well that must be the end of this year’s Wimbledon. From what I have seen there was only one player holding her own against all opponents. Now she has been beaten the tournament must be over.
R4 currently live with a report on “Personal Space” on social media citing a lady who became upset by receiving an unsympathetic message regarding her breastfeeding decisions.
I cannot understand why so many people are unable to understand that social media is an open boxing ring and that if you volunteer to go in there and open your heart you may be hit from any direction at any time by anyone else on there who can see you and likewise.
Basically as things stand if you can’t tolerate this just stay out of it or just use phone text or email to people you know!
I was walking around a museum in London recently and there was a woman breastfeeding on one of the benches in the middle of the room, (using one of those special tops that allows you to do it without seeing any bare flesh). When I accidentally looked at her, she seemed really annoyed, but it’s a public space where people are looking around at everything. It was one of those situations where you’re supposed to both see and not see something at the same time. I was supposed to approvingly note that she was breastfeeding in public but also not notice her doing it in case I caused offence. Well, until a few years ago, she would have been the one causing offence. Personally, I’m not bothered by breastfeeding in public, but I’m just saying what the situation used to be.
Also, I recently saw an African woman inside Euston station openly breastfeeding a baby without any sort of covering. Now I know that’s normal in Africa, but it isn’t the traditional thing to do in this country. But of course no-one would have dared to complain about it, because they probably would have been accused of “racism”. (Once again, it didn’t bother me personally, I’m just talking about the traditional societal norms of the UK).
JG,
I really love this, ‘taking offence’ thing. We have a family of Syrian “refugees” who moved into the village a couple of years ago. Sorry, rephrase: were moved into the village. A neighbour to them told me that the husband, who is clearly in his sixties, is happy to beat his wife up and doesn’t care who witnesses the fact. The neighbours will not intervene by calling the police for fear of being the ones prosecuted for ‘hate speech’ so the violence continues at any time during a twenty-four hour period. He probably knows that no one locally will intervene and neither will the police. That’s our ‘two-tier’ police service.
This is multiculturalism at its best and proof, if proof were needed, that it will really succeed.
When did the BBC adopt this ridiculous attitude of conformity? For example, they decided that the tennis player Coro Gauff is the best thing since sliced bread, and it’s almost as if anyone who has the temerity to disagree is a REALLY BAD PERSON. I don’t have anything against Coro Gauff but the way the BBC have been talking her up continuously for about 10 days is just silly and boring.
I don’t follow tennis. I can only name about five players, and one of those has been making shirts for about 100 years, so when I saw your comment I said to myself: “I’d bet a £100 that he/she is *****”.
Surprise surprise! I think my £100 would have been safe. This constant fawning is really objectionable.
And, changing the subject, this is worth reading (as D Murray usually is):
So much for climate change, it’s 15 degree C here in Co down.
As Trump put it “somethings happenning” but the left have jumped on it to bring about a green ‘utopia’ which translated would mean regulatory restrictions on individual freedom.

Over three years since Brexit was voted for.
Where’s the BBC outrage that it has not happened?
Same place their outrage over a journalist beaten up by Antifa went.
A reminder:
BBC outrage is reserved for those they agree with. Anyone else can go hang.

An “ethnic minority” as well. The self-appointed moral guardians in the press change their phoney principles like hats don’t they?

Normally the holy talismans of being BAME & LGBTQ+
give the holder special protection from attack by lib-tribe
But Ngo was also carrying the poisoned-chalice of having opinions against lib-tribe, so that trumps the protection
He became less-equal-than instead of more-equal-than.
“Inquiry launched into ‘inept Trump administration’ leaked emails”
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-48901624
That sounds like a spin.
Official Secrets Act?
The Sunday newspapers seem to be shilling for Boris, even to the point of landslide complacency. Quite a contrast with the BBC.
It must be my age…
Not a very interesting or handsome tree; comfort yourself with that thought.
G,
“Sopel is one of the sorriest excuses for a journalist heading one of the sorriest excuses for a Bureau for the sorriest excuse for a broadcaster there is.”
Aren’t “Jon” and “Sopel” entirely fitting names for this person!
B,
““Jon”
Is that the French spelling?
Surely, it can’t have any connection with the US way of spelling.
“McDonnell: Labour should ‘get on with’ changing its Brexit policy”
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48899814
Labour are finished. They are not listening to the people, hence so many EU seats going to The Brexit Party.
Lessons to be learned ?
Taff:
I hope you are right, because as far as I am concerned, the Labour party is nothing less than an organised conspiracy against the interests of the British people. They should be treated like any other organised crime gang.
Any one espousing Marxism should be treated as worse then Nazism. Marxism and its evil daughters – socialism and communism, killed far more people, men, women, and even children, in far worse ways then the Nazis. Such is there bloody record, it makes Nazis look good.
The stupidity of the BBC – “The EU – Perceptions of the BBC’s Reporting”
A report commissioned by the BBC in 2004 that they obviously ignored, no doubt because, as always, “We get it just about right”, (some say).
The BBC have been lumped in with ITV and Channel 4 to try and protect UK broadcasters against Amazon and Neflix.

Good luck with that.
Jon Snow alone drags the collective rep below the gutter.

If Huw ‘if it’s summer l’ll be taking the groves of Umbria’ does not shuttle about Europe for his quarter year off by train, it might be a bit awks if Greta is borne into the studio for an audience on her palanquin.
Greta looks a little “vulnerable”. If she is, it is evil to exploit her for AGW – the greatest fraud and scam of the century.
BBC staff post. Edit as appropriate.
Is he still employed by BBC?
The Absolutely Radio Show, proof that it is possible to do comedy without Trump, Brexit and Thatcher, (though they have erred in the past).
Shades of the old days with some clever word-play that is timeless. The little girl, ‘it is true’ routine has probably played out all possibilities now and is running on empty but apart from that not bad!
I love the idea of a ‘disloyalty card’, perhaps David Vance could market a BBC card for this site?
The Welsh bit at the beginning was brilliant.
Fed.. not sure anyone “local” is left in london
Birmingham is the same 🙁
Friday evening in Birmingham I drove away from the house I was visiting and pass an elderly lady struggling to use a four-wheeled ‘walker’, her tan and clothing suggested Asian origins but immigrants are never old so I must be mistaken.
This article is about the same thing
https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/14406/suicide-of-france
Its amazing how many of the “protected class” end up victims of the “protected class. “
BBC Online News:
“”Former Brexit chief: We should all worry about no deal””
“”Everyone should worry about no deal, the civil servant who was, until March, head of the Brexit department has said.””
“”Philip Rycroft, who resigned after 18 months, told the BBC’s Panorama no deal was “fraught with risk”. “”
“”And NI police said no deal could help recruitment for paramilitary groups.””
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48901055
It is now apparent that those who held and hold senior posts in the Civil Service are extremely anti-Brexit.
And it suits the BBC’s anti-Brexit stance superbly.
Tony Blair did well in subverting the Civil Service to be political clones of himself.
He did the same with all the British institutions.
We are all now reaping the harm.
Let’s call them what they are ; Gramscians .
A harder job in the UK than the US methinks .
Fed, that JustRemainIn Webb interview with Farage seemed incredibly affable to me.
What went wrong?
I think it will easier in the UK then in the US. There are 50 states, and much of the Federal and State structure is independent,
lets face it; if the bbc doesn’t say everything is rosy and everyone from abroad is prefect – we all might riot, 1 day the lid will come off all this crap!
Here the eu.bc reports on “The propagandist” – kettle black!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48830980
Suppose they are the experts on propaganda and would know, because they keep informing us
” Liston up everybody BIG BROTHER has some instructions. I
have been told that there is some men’s cricket competition going on.” ” It’s the Cricket World Cup Big Brother and cricket is the National sport of England and WERE in the semi finals!”
Fed, the Beeb have been stressing today in the R4 News how the new Greek Govt. will work through the summer.
All that heat.
Athens, too. I hope they don’t catch fire.
Demon,
In the past voting against the party on a three line whip vote meant automatic suspension from the party.

Also, Stephen Kinnock is urging Steptoe to embrace Treezer’s Treaty – presumably the Kinnock clan is unsure how Labour would fare in a GE.

This US womens world cup winning team was apparently thrashed by a school boys team. On this basis they are demanding equal pay with men.
Though no sympathy for “transgendered”, it would be fun to see trans entering womens tennis championships. I can hear screams.

The Brexit Party have started their own channel on youtube called ‘Brexbox’
Looks interesting.
BBC have not mentioned it. Oh, silly me, I forgot. The Brexit Party doesn’t exist in BBC anti-Brexit la-la land.
Features a gay, black man (his own words) who supports Brexit.
He must be a racist homophobe then, right, like all Brexit voters?
The group commented on the criticism thrown at them for turning their backs on the EU Office Anthem. Their comment was that Parliament had turned their backs on 17.2 million Brexit voters.
Class.
Not Bias but more from the “crazies” …. ITV News run an article
“Why are more female professional footballers openly gay or bisexual than male players?”

BBC when do they ever put these charges to any Muslim?
There is that fatwa and beheading thing that makes the BBC very sensitive to RoP issues.

Good points Deborah.
Obama did the same in America, but on a larger scale. Thus we have Trump. And the Obama holdover judges and bureaucrats, fighting Trump tooth and nail to turn the USA into a socialist Open borders Venezuela.
If Trump loses, the West is finished.
Fed: “However the sheer lack of brains which led to tax rules having a negative impact on punters” now I wonder who that could have been? A Mr Osborne and a Mr Javid*, perhaps?
Oh dear!

No, not from Enfield. He is one of the Shropshire Malhamoubs, with whom I used to hunt.
Second good laugh of the morning. Ta!

…and mine.
Radio 4 news 1pm : Listening to Lady Brooke talking to Coptic Bishop about persecution of Christians in umpty countries around the world. I may not have been attentive enough, but I’m as sure as one can be that the words islam and muslim were not uttered once by either party.
Typical beeb: bias by omission.
“The only way to settle this crisis is to put it back to the people.”
Because nothing settles a crisis more than another crisis. (I think that’s from the Labour manifesto)
What does “put it back” mean? Ask them again, so that we can get a different answer?
David Lammy exemplifies the state of politics – dumbed down, bigoted, narrow minded, unsubstantiated opinions that he feels are worth sharing. Has he ever said or done anything that 1. is useful and 2. doesn’t play the victim card.
Where does his family come from, and why doesn’t he go back there, since he dislikes us so much?
Guyana apparently..though he was born in Holloway (Upper Holloway..not the prison).
“He and his four siblings were raised solely by his mother, after his father left the family when Lammy was 12 years old.”
Personally, I can see why that might have happened! ..poor lamb.
Never seen the HMQ as happy participating in a state visit as this one.
David Lammy? Is he the black guy who shone in a Mastermind competition?

The NHS of course exists primarily to look after the people who work in it. It is totally producer-led.
Not much different to the BBC.

Always ask : Is it PR or is it news ?
I had to look for this on Twitter because the BBC have it in ‘local news’. This is the beboids fav way of ‘hiding’ stories that don’t fit the narrative. Sky News mentioned it and I’m wondering if it appears on the BBC News at Six?
I wonder if it would be simply a “car crash” if it had been some so called “far right” person attempting kill people.

Is our US guy a good diplomat ?
An e-mail cannot be a di-ploma.

The BBC’s favoured candidate for Wimbledon women’s champion, Coro Gauff, has just been defeated by Simona Halep.
BBC is openly racist.
The ‘leaked memos’ debate in parliament will be fertile ground for the BBC to distort the matter, and we will no doubt be bombarded with the bits where ambassador ‘spoke the truth’ about the Trump administration.
They have already picked the part they wanted to highlight –
Oddly enough, dear dapper little man that you are Alan, I always thought diplomats were paid to be diplomatic.
An example is speaking out about what is ‘not alright’ from a faith perspective –
fnw

“Aah, go on! Go on, go on, go on, go on!”

Spookey…..
digg ““Newspeak is to be spoken in staccato rhythm, using short-syllable words that are easy to pronounce, which generates speech that is physically automatic and intellectually unconscious”
so that’s where Jonny Dymond gets it from. I thought he was just a wannabe Dalek for Dr.Who.
Buried in an article in the Guardian….
Seems to work that way with TR…..

That’s our ‘two-tier’ police service.
Tens of thousands of English girls gang banged for decades .
Tommy Robinson gets jailed.
There’s 1 main reason for their adulation of Coco.
Ahem, vlad, isn’t that nickname a little … umh … ahem … er… a little racist?
I don’t follow tennis. I can only name about five players, and one of those has been making shirts for about 100 years, so when I saw your comment I said to myself: “I’d bet a £100 that he/she is *****”.
Surprise surprise! I think my £100 would have been safe. This constant fawning is really objectionable.
And, changing the subject, this is worth reading (as D Murray usually is):
Billy Connolly and the death of free speech
So much for climate change, it’s 15 degree C here in Co down.
As Trump put it “somethings happenning” but the left have jumped on it to bring about a green ‘utopia’ which translated would mean regulatory restrictions on individual freedom.
