When Donald Campbell died it was huge news.
So what about last week when the female record attempt driver Jessi Combs died in her attempt.
Did the BBC mention much ?
I didn’t notice https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-49504222
They probably thought it was bloke (jessie) and so didn’t care…once they find out it is woman you might see it with headline
Female racing driver dies in record attempt – is motor sport more dangerous for women?
The Scottish court has declared that the power for the PM to get Parliament shut down is a political one and not for lawyers . I wonder if the other courts with Soros financed actions going on will come to the same – and whether it will get to the House of Lords judicial committee as I still like to call it .
Talking of the House of Lords – it seems attempts are to be made to talk the traitor bill out over a couple of days . Whatever happens the Monarch must be hoping to be left alone in her feudal role in Scotland pretending her country isn’t what it has become . Her world will be given a shake if the comrades get power …
It’s great being in a self imposed BBC blackout and gleaning events from elsewhere – under strict rationing for health reasons .
I’m surprised Project Fear hasn’t said thar there ll be a shortage of news after brexit ….
Why do the immigration department have no will to deport failed asylum seekers
How much is Tory cuts and how much soft lefty employees ?
Recently, responding to statistics showing there were 40,000 failed asylum seekers still in the country who were 'subject to removal action' (but only 3k-4k being removed per year), Mr Wood noted: 'The number of removals has fallen off a cliff. Resources… have dwindled.'

Whilst the bBc are hooping and skooping over last night’s outrage it could be interpreted as Custer’s last Stand.
By Custer, I mean the 21 Cons Remainers, Corbyn and his band of hypocrits , the SNP and Lib Dems.
These people have simply failed in their core purpose, to represent their constituencies.
While the bBC has gone REMAIN NATIVE.
In addition to the list above Custer’s troops should include 50-100 of the most Remain rabid bBC operatives to face the music which will be forthcoming.
And the BREXIT Party in partnership with Scottish Cons should be encouraged to mount a severe challenge in Scotland on the SNP crew who have been found out as an over sized cult unable to govern properly let alone be the voice of the Scottish people,
Bercow has ruled that the ‘going nowhere’ Bill doesn’t require assent from HM.
He says this may be “distasteful”. But he is in a big hurry.
Bercow looks and sounds more and more like Benito Mussolini in full flow. With twice the gift of the gab. And with even less sense of the meaning of democracy than the Italian.
Bully isn’t an adequate word. Bercow treats parliament like his personal fiefdom in which he does exactly as he pleases. And parliament as so much more important than 17.4 million people, that they can be wholly ignored.
Representativeness? Laughable.
Hillary sounds like he wants the whole thing done and dusted by tea.
The beeb will be happy.
The print media are meanwhile in full flow with personal attacks and slurs on Boris, Cummings, etc
4:30pm Media Show ..will be trying to push the narrative that Boris is more chaos than May
Andrea Catherwood is joined by
– Nicolai Gentchev, Director of Current Affairs at Mentorn Media,
– Camilla Tominey, Associate Editor of The Telegraph
– Ayesha Hazarika, Diary Editor of The Evening Standard.
Also in the show, Dylan Jones, editor in chief of British GQ. ..yeh who just sainted Greta
The SNP have jumped up to propose to revoke Article 50. Can’t say it’s a surprise.
Make hay while the sun shines, is their motto.
The beeb will be happy with that. And that Britain becomes a laughing stock.
I’ve been listening to what R4 dishes up as comedy, and I’m sure they would consider, that too, to be greatly amusing.

“Sir Cliff Richard: BBC pays £2m in final settlement after privacy case”
Should read : Telly Tax payers pay £2m in final settlement after privacy case.
Sort of. That was my initial reaction, too. But apparently the BBC has legal insurance to cover this. No doubt the policy cost a pretty penny though and there will be other costs and fees, all met by the television poll tax of course.
Message to Crapita: get some more goons out tomorrow to hassle the over-75s…
Fisal Islam certainly does not have a clue. He can waffle on for ages without saying anything. When Fisal was with Sky, Adam Boulton would have to ask him questions and then prompt him with the answers as it was obvious he did not understand what was going on.
This really is a disgrace what Parliament is doing but I fear that unless people choose to visit sites like this or follow Raheem and others on YouTube, they will just hear the same old whitewashing on the BBC and meekly accept that this is the way things are.
It angers me to my very soul that the basic core element of democracy is being destroyed right in front of our eyes and yet our media are gleefully rubbing their hands.
They are exhibiting such blatant contempt for the will of the people and apart from some ‘moany old bastards’ like ourselves, few seem to care.
I don’t know whether to laugh or puke over Labour’s virtue signalling Sikh MP, who berated Boris over his “letter box” joke. How long ago was that? Why bring it up now…as if we didn’t know.
The bewhiskered prat was blustering through his beard with manufactured outrage at what poor hijab wearing women have to put up with. Apparently some louts (clearly Brexit voters) are taking the mickey out of them.
There’s an easy was round their dilemma. Take the bleedin’ things off. Join the rest of the civilised world.
You’re not shuffling around the camel dung infested sand dunes of Saudi Arabia, you’re doing your shopping in Luton High Street.
Hijab off. Smiling faces. Eye contact.
Sorted.
Jeff.
With all that outrage shown over name calling, just imagine the scenes in Parliament when they find out that hundreds of thousands of our little schoolgirls are being ‘enriched’ by all these rocket engineers, brain surgeons and nuclear physicists who are living in places like Rotherham after getting across the channel on a lilo or in an unsuspecting tourists car boot.
Compared to being called a letter box, the outrage shown will be nuclear.
Yes,
As soon as they become aware of what’s happening in these towns………
Why are all the media so shocked that Soames has been sacked.
It seems they think that being Winston Churchill’s relative means he is unsackable and can never ever be held to account.
I think that Churchill would be extremely disappointed in this remainer and ashamed to have him as a relative. I think if he had been a member of Churchill’s government he would have kicked him out himself, very quickly (and disowned him)
Getting rid of these 21 (or was it 22) wet lefty liberals is a good move towards getting some of the crap round the U bend.
They shouldn’t be allowed to sit on the government benches. We don’t want them there.
It’s awful for viewers to see their miserable ugly mugs sitting amongst proper Tories.
Soames says we are a parliamentary democracy – yes we are, until you call a referendum, and then that power is ceded to joe public. Which bit of it do they not understand.
Sir Bill Cash really put his finger on the problem we now face: he said that the UK “has a system of parliamentary government, not government by parliament”.
This is what Lab/Libdums etc don’t actually understand, in their little hijack act.
The Executive is elected by parliament to make the decisions inherent in leadership. They should be allowed to get on with it.
Above all, the beeb needs to realise that it is a public service broadcaster, and neither legislates nor makes any executive decisions.
I should like it to stop reporting the news from in front of a specially-selected bank of EU flags, for starters.
We’ve got the message of where it sees its loyalties. Ad Nauseum.
Yes ‘fakenews’ – how can we rid ourselves of both Bercow and the BBC – enemies of free speech alike. Covered in the slime of false self righteousness . The problem with these people is that they mix with their own kind and so their point of view is reinforced continually. Bercow needs to be got rid of and soon – he is holding Parliament back and so , the country.
Not sure about the BBC as i can’t stand watching them anymore but on Sly News there is a party time atmosphere.
Hooray hang out the flags and crack the champers open as we’ve stopped brexit again and Boris just cant be trusted don’t you know?
Yep, Kay Burley and Fatso Boulton are every bit as biased as the famously biased lefties at the beeb.
I pay my license for the BBC to supply unbiased views, their reporting on the current government issues is so biased to pro-EU agenda it is unbelievable.
Boris is the only PM with any backbone now, another general election will see him rip the soft leftist liberal plethora to shreds, as well as the self proliferating EU agenda…!
Strangely enough, I’m sitting in a Sikh pub in Walsall and all the Sikhs here think that he’s a right (‘Cassie’s comments have been censored on the grounds that it offends public decency).
Watching the debate in Parliament and having to put up with the noise of the cattle in the yard outside of Parliament when interviews are taking place. Why can’t the media erect a sound proof shed in order to conduct interviews in peace.
I don’t know if you noticed that when Boris made his Downing Street speech the other day, while he was speaking the fascist chants were heard very loudly. But when the Skybots were talking to one another in the same location you could hardly, if at all, hear the louts.
Clear adjustment of mics to ensure their “reporters” (or should they be called anti-Brexit advocates?) could be heard clearly, but not the Prime Minister whom they despise.
“MPs are voting a bill that could block a no-deal Brexit – and trigger the PM to seek a general election.”
Now all the EU has to do is ‘not give us a deal’.
It will stop the UK leaving forever .
Simples.
The fools .
As with doctors, there used to be a view that MPs were actually quite smart; they had to be to grasp political matters, parliamentary procedures and contest and win elections.
And probably for a period this was mostly true. Notice I pass by integrity and national interest.
But these days the antics and outbursts by so many, so often show them for what they are, namely pig-thick chancers riding a gravy train opportunity provided by diversity-obsessed leaderships in thrall of media, too often installed solely to provide equally pig thick constituents a rosette stand to vote for.
My MP is very bright, with a career in both private and public sectors. However he has certainly swallowed the kool aid, and in terms of competence appears qualified solely to open eco-exhibitions at schools for a photo op in the local rag, and act as a secretary passing on and back issues to a rotating helicopter beanie of Ministers who simply note what is said and tell you that they have read it.
He seems a dubiously ok exception. Most more appear at the level of Soubry, Lammy, Abbott, Butler, Wrong Daily who I would not trust to walk my dogs properly.
And then of course there are the ones in it simply for the coin, often to an excess that sees them incinerated.
Some MPs are smart, but note the scruffy MPs walking in and out of the chamber, men with those hiking bags on their backs and women carrying their huge shopping bags around as if they were in ASDA not a serious political debating chamber. I suppose they fit in with the unwashed yobs outside making their animal noises.
OT, but the MSM worldwide keeps trying to set itself apart from ‘social media’ as the sole purveyors of ‘truth’. I know few who trust any of them any more than the dodgiest blog. Especially the BBC and various in-school and fact-checking efforts.
I wish you lot would show more respect to Sir Nicholas Soames. When Private Eye had teeth in the seventies and eighties, he was always called by his correct title, “Fatty Soames”.
An anonymous woman who confessed that having sex with him said it was “like having a double wardrobe fall on top of you with a very small key sticking out”.
The plan to stop Brexit by MPs is going very nicely at the moment from their point of view, as most of us predicted it would. They absolutely hate the idea of having an election, because people might vote the wrong way.
Swamp the BBC with negative comments – upgrade to an official complaint – upgrade then, once you have a negative decision from them (standard) to OFFCOM – waste of time I know, but do it in anycase and do it now!
I hope Bojo has a good Constitutional lawyer and listens to what he is told.
I am led to believe by the Conservative Woman web-site that John Longworth (former CBI Director) gave the PM what seemed to me excellent advice about a visit to the WTO which was ignored. I remain unconvinced that Boris Johnson has the right qualities for this situation but like most of the population minus about 160,000, I had no say in his appointment.
The Labour Party and all those wishing to have a second EU Referendum should really agree to a General Election. If they do not do that this week, then they are shown to be the total frauds that they are.
Party politics is finished in the UK. Who is going to vote for any party in the future? We will in future vote for the individual an individual that shares our values and views on the future of our country.
This set of charlatans don’t believe in the British people they don’t think that we have the backbone to see it through to the end.
They want to cower in front of the Franco German pact they actually believe that Europe is for all when anyone can see that it’s just the fulfilment of Germany and France’s plan to dominate Europe, somthing that for over 200 years Great Britian has prevented.
The white flag will soon be flying, our great country and one I’m not afraid to say I love will just be consumed by France and Germany the final fulfilment of thier plans. It’s taken them 200 years we have won many battles but sadly not the war.
Just watching the Parliament showdown – It convinces me that our current system is shot – What an absolute load of idiots. I’ve made a formal complaint to the BBC that they have incited civil unrest – This parliament + Berk-ow has added to it. Where can I emigrate too? Hongkong perhaps.
Watching Boris being attacked by Tories. If Boris survives he needs to work with Farage and together create a new party and sod the Conservative Party. The new party will destroy Labour and the others. The Tory Party has no future.
I do feel that the Conservative Party is dying, the Labout Party is critically sick as well. However, if we have a General Election and Boris says “Vote for me and we will leave the 4th Reich immediately, on victory, without a deal”, I will vote for the Conservatives considering that my MP is a Brexiteer.
If not then I will have to vote Brexit Party. Boris needs to say the right things in the right way and, with help from Nigel, he will probably win hands down despite the constant attacks and lies from the MSM.
Whatever happens with A50 the parliamentary system is just shot to hell and the BBC won’t allow it to be said .
How many MPs actually carry through promises made to voters , follow Party manistestos
And don’t put their personal views against those of their constituents .
Is there a single Brexit MP with a Remain constituency ?
How can an MP with a 68% leave vote just disregards them ?
The biggest problem is that parliament cannot fix itself and nor will the incestuous bubble . At some stage there will be a reckoning but a lot of people won’t like it . I’m not sure of the form that will take .
You have to laugh at Labour – screaming for a general election but now not wanting one – because they know that Corbyn will be a liability if he is up against BoJo .
I think the time has come Fed. I’ve seen mention made on other sites of a big gathering in London this weekend.
I think there will be a big chance of violence as it’s now gone to far and people are seething.
To be honest I don’t blame them if it does happen. Lessons need to be taught, hard lessons regarding truth, democracy and what British values really are.
West .
I’m being as moderate in my language on this site as I can and I’m glad others are too. I can’t help thinking that many MPs are just playing a game now – of parliamentary procedure .
But the real world outside had different motivations . For instance – I am sick of the SNP ‘speaking for Scotland “. Well I’m an Englishman – and when I checked the outcome of the Scottish bit of the referendum roughly 1.6 million voted remain but 1 million voted leave .
Who ever raises this ? How does the SNP speak for @35% of those who voted leave ?
I think you are right that people are “seething “ and rightly so . Being a hard hearted cynic – some remainers will be welcoming a physical attack on one of their fellow traitors in order to use that as another weapon against democracy . I am surprised is hasn’t happened already – and like the jo cox murder – it will be milked for every drop of propaganda possible .
Indeed Fed, I have a good mate with Scotish roots, family and they are sick to death of the Scots Nasties, they are ruining the Country with their failing policies, but you won’t here a bad word on al Beeb. Doesn’t fit the narrative you see. Repressed downtrodden scots good. Evil English bad in al Beebs world.
The MPs and speaker have ridden roughshod over democracy, in many ways these last few hours and whilst not encouraging
violence, were some to happen, I think a silent majority would actually not shed a tear now.
Snivelling snakes and rats the Remoan lot ????
I gave up when Soubry stood up!
I have a funny feeling with filibustering and the HoL this may not get through.
Anyone remember Mr. Smith goes to Washington, just as an aside?
Great Movie (if not a little sentimental)…I was watching it last night and was quite tempted to post Jimmy Stewarts filibuster at the end.(for which he won an Oscar nomination)….but I dont know how to download it?……….(Claude Rains is brilliant in that film as well…..)
Brilliant film! Starring James Stewart and the gorgeous Jean Arthur.
There was a very similar film from about that time called Mr Deeds goes to Town. Once again it had Jean Arthur playing the feisty female lead, but this time Gary Cooper was the male star.
Actors like Stewart and Cooper were so good at portraying the decent and honorable underdog.
I’m afraid that the old saying is proving to be very true.
They don’t make ’em like that any more…
Hope you are correct DS, sadly I believe the scum and villany of the ‘upper’ house are planning on staving off the countless amendments to change of business motion, over 100 at last count and hearing the Benn surrender bill sometime on Sunday. There are reports of lib dem peers arriving at the rest home wil shaving kits and sleeping bags so they can thwart the Tory pro Brexit lords amendments.
I’m afraid the only way to sort this mess is by armed struggle on the streets.
Note to Beeb, apart from you lot of hard left scum and the Westminster bubble, no one outside of Islington gives a flying rats arse about what MPs ‘demand’. Sadly their behaviour over the last 48hrs has put paid to a great many people in this country ever respecting anything those scumbags say or do ever again.
Some MPs’ enthusiasm for democracy seems to go in and out like the tide.
Fearful of being on the wrong side of public sentiment after the 2016 EU Referendum, some of them got re-elected to Westminster in 2017 by saying that they would respect the Referendum result, even if they had backed the Remain side. The Commons’ blocking of the No Deal Brexit suggests they are, at the very least, willing to risk Brexit by undermining the PM and handing the initiative back to the EU.
Now they are safely back in Westminster, they have no interest in risking their positions by letting the people vote in another General Election and unseat any of them. However, some do advocate a second EU Referendum! So voting can have its uses, according to whether it suits their interests.
I think the Brexit Party has an important role in keeping at least some MPs honest as regards leaving the EU. Nigel Farage talked recently about us moving into “a very dark place” with the latest anti-democratic coup in Westminster.
General – Keep going over this. Corbyn and Swinson keep telling us that there is No Mandate for No Deal and people don’t want it. But, now turn down the chance for a General election precisely because they fear that there is actually appetite from the voters for No deal and they they will be hammered in a election.
I despise them with a passion !!! I really do.
On another note, did anyone see the shouting from Jess Phillips, utterly disgusting behaviour, awful woman , full of hatred . Showed herself to a wider audience tonight to be a real nasty piece of work. The tolerant, peaceful left hey !!!
This woman epitomises the current level of MP and the Left
She is stupid, crass and probably a bully and obviously can’t understand what the chap is saying so resorts to abuse and self centred comments
A heck of a lot of the Conservatives MPs are just beneath contempt.
They’ve had a new leader for just over a month and they’re doing their level best to stop him doing his job before he’s even started.
I don’t expect much from Labour. They’ve given us Compo and Co; 1970’s ideologue Marxists channeling Lenin and Trotsky. Only someone very young, gullible or bloody stupid could possibly contemplate voting for them.
The Lid Dems seem to be full of cranks, climate fanatics and perverts and will do and say anything for a vote.
But the Conservatives are the lot that really disappoint me. They’ve been infested with woke, right on virtue signalers. They’re timid and apologetic. They seem to have little independent thought and even less respect for democracy.
This crowd won’t bring us Brexit if they’re in for another decade.
They had a chance to do something right and noble and they blew it.
I despise them.
Still one rabbit in the hat? It would be nice to think the incompetent BBC had been caught with its pants down.
Cummings knows we can leave any day between now and the 31st October. The incompetent media have forgotten this✅ The announcement is simply a formality. https://t.co/4DM4c8cwDy
Al Beeb – “Boris Johnson’s call for general election rejected by MPs”
I would suggest that there are a lot of disgruntled Tory Voters this evening ? Over three years and more since the nation voted out and the Conservative Party have failed miserably .
I can see more ex-Tory members joining UKIP or The Brexit Party.
Parliament is full of actors. Drain the swamp, the country needs a general election.
Sooner or later there will be one.
I believe that there are a lot of Labour supporters annoyed that a general election is being denied to them as well.
The right to have their say is being denied because the MP’s don’t trust them to vote the correct way either.
Taff,
The only way that we get A half reasonable Brexit is for Nigel and Boris to form an electoral pact. Nigel will only do this if Boris can convince him that , in the event of a Tory majority, he won’t be sold down the river and we get a soft Brexit which would be unacceptable to TBH. If there isn’t a pact then we won’t get any sort of Brexit ever. Everything depends on a) Boris finding a way of forcing through an election and b) him being able to convince Nigel that an electoral pact is viable and of benefit to TBP.
Where does the BBC get them? Mark Radcliffe of The Folk Show expresses surprise that the sailing ship Cutty Sark has got a Scottish connection, (built Dunbarton 1869). I thought he was into ‘Four Nations Folk’ now and is best mates with Julie Fowlis?
Perhaps she can read Tam o’Shanter to him?
Till first ae caper, syne anither,
Tam tint his reason a’ thegither,
And roars out, ‘Weel done, Cutty-sark!’
And in an instant all was dark:
And scarcely had he Maggie rallied.
When out the hellish legion sallied.
(We had another ‘let them all come’ pro-migration song this week – it gets a bit tiresome all this ‘folk belongs to lefties’ nonsense week after week).
There is a mindless quality to the anti-Boris bunch in parliament. Were it not for the televising of parliament, most of them would be deprived of putting their little virtue-signalling tantrums on show, which is what much of this is about. Things might be quite different.
The poor quality of their thinking is striking: they blunder down the road to nowhere, prolonging the uncertainty. A lot of money down the drain, all in order to keep us under the EU boot. I’ve never seen such a collection of hypocricy.
I wonder if voters will forgive them?
The role of the Speaker in steering, and much of the media in supporting this treachery needs some close looking at. We must remember the role the former has played, and make our voices heard in the latter, wherever possible.
There is something about the grimacing and mouth-writhing of bellowing Bercow that is eerily reminiscent of Hitler. Still trying to figure out exactly what it is. Could it be the anti-British ecstacy both put on display when they get going?
Yesterday Bercow was extremely rude to Mr Johnson. When the left-wing shouters tried to drown out the PM, Bercow shouted at him “Sit down. Just sit down” or words to that effect. The tone was exceptionally nasty and aggressive, far more so thanto the left-wingers who were creating the noise. I was furious at the nasty little elf.
Today however, when they tried to drown out Mr Johnson again during PM’s QT, he asked him to sit down and said something like “Sorry. I am asking most politely”. He said something else later too.
It is clear that someone must have told Bercow that his behaviour was unacceptable.
It is a simple fact that a Puppet is a collaborator and a traitor who is controlled by an enemy by reasons of bribery or intellectual deficiency, who betrays their Country, family and friends for reasons of self interest.
Therefore most MP’s in Parliament today are angry collaborators and traitors who are controlled by the EU by reasons of bribery or intellectual deficiency, who betray their Country, family and friends for reasons of self interest.
They usually get very angry and angrier and very much more angry as their World collapses around them. They scream with great energy at subordinates. But this usually ends with them committing suicide with cyanide pills and guns to the head, or as some Remainers have said “jumping off a cliff”
Jeremy Paxman asks “Why are our Politicians so crap”. Comments from the Commonwealth and America indicate that this could be because British politicians look as though they have been selected as puppets for a foreign power. In the dictionary it says that a “Puppet Government” is a Government that appears independent but is in fact controlled by another.
The “Puppet Government” ended with the ousting of Theresa May. But we still have a “Puppet Parliament” with a majority of MP’s being puppets of the EU. Boris has expelled the hard core Puppets from the government. So now we have a war between British Parliamentarians and Puppet Parliamentarians. The Puppets have taken back control of Parliament and don’t want a General Election, all they want is to serve their masters in Brussels. But they don’t mind a second referendum because they can ignore the result if they lose.
The entire political apparatus is groaning under the weight of incompetence, corruption and self interest. Paying £39 Billion to preserve a trade deficit within the Customs Union makes all those shopkeepers who support the Brexit Party better at economics than those Puppets in Parliament. Puppets say EU laws and rules are best, and try to find ways of protecting them in that awful “Deal”. Parliament was designed to make laws, Puppets want our laws to be made across the Channel instead. This is what the Puppets are fighting for. The withdrawal agreement was designed to preserve the “Puppet Parliament” for ever and ever more. The Puppets want a Government that appears to have withdrawn from the EU but is in fact controlled by the EU. Puppet Governments either end up calling in a foreign army or fall in a revolution.
Is anyone else getting really fed up with political reporter Lewis Goodall’s blatantly biased opinions? It doesn’t seem that long ago that reporters like him used to make a big effort to be impartial. He makes almost no effort to hide his opinions.
Laura Kumesburg – another one. I’ve never seen such absolute visciousness from her before this evening. What are they on – too many cocktails this afternoon perhaps Laura?
Yes SPC – bad spelling – should have googled it. All the same The most deprived section of society, BBC , are young , white , males. You know, that lot that nobody wants to talk about. Any jobs at the BBC for them as a political commentator. A high standard of education it appears, going on the current crowd, is not required.
Active politicking from R4: listen to interviews -they are full of ‘suggestions” to the anti-government parties. This ranges from strategy over the vote through to emphasising project fear. The whole flavour is of ‘hopeful’ for the anti-Boris faction, providing they listen to beeb advice.
Of course, they are always careful to not make an open and explicit comment of support, but that is not necessary when both parties know exactly what their messages denote. It is done in the open, to make sure supporters ‘out there’ are also aware of strategy.
Mishal Hussain is good at it; so is Nick. So far we’ve had lengthy interviews with each and every one of the Tory opponents , at length, discussing options and best strategy. This gives 90% of exposure to anti-government parties, while pretending merely to find out where all the parties stand. Of course, Nigel and UKIP don’t feature, other than in beeb warnings against the Brexit party to protagonists in parliament.
Working actively to encourage a split in the Tory party is part of the beeb approach.
I have no doubt that they intend playing a very active role in any possible election. It won’t merely be ‘bias’; it will be taking sides very explicitly. Its time Ofcom came in to this. The ‘public service’ broadcaster is, and will increasingly, take sides.
At the moment we have a chuckling interview between Robinson and Mc Donnell, the former helping McD to formulate that Boris is a liar, then discussing all the options. A sort of on-air brainstorm between pals. Wink, wink, banter-banter. Not what you would get in a government interview. Mc Donnell picks up all the cues, links Boris to ‘Trump’ etc. while Robinson eggs him on, helps him out…
“Der Ton macht die Musik” the Germans would say. Indeed.
Written by another who quite definitely sees as we see the utter incompetance of those or most of those sitting in the Houses of Parliament and mostly just sitting.
The words most heard in Parliament ‘I will not allow a no deal brexit’. Parliament has become tribal, with the SNP ever more demanding that Scotland should separate from the Union and live in their EU nirvana. There was open declaration by the SNP, Liberal Democrats and to a lesser extent Labour that, they have achieved the democracy they want, in preventing the UK from leaving the EU without a deal.
The media have totally filled their minds with the disaster that will befall us if we dare to implement the referendum result.
What they are blind to, is they can only prevent the ‘NO DEAL’ by signing the Withdrawal Agreement on offer and unamended. The Bill is to force (if granted by the EU Council) three month extension in ‘no mans land’, with no negotiations and paying in.
The Labour MP Stephen Kinnock has an amendment that will happily occupy the extra three months to no purpose. Reviving May’s deal, kicking it around and then rejecting it.
Oh, and Labour do not want an election – just yet.
The antics in Parliament become ever more farcical
Emptying – I hope that’s a joke question . But the answer is ‘ yes’ . His dad is on k250 k EU commissioners pension as well as his parliamentary pension . Just for starters .
Emptying – sorry – humour is a bit strained these days . I wonder what the kinnocks do with all that tax free cash they get . ?
I was looking at the pension arrangements for the top the the government – which includes the leader of the opposition and other senior shadows . Very generous . 50% of final year pay in post in many cases . Guess who voted for that ? ( themselves ?
The ‘OK’ hand gesture that’s rattled China’s authorities
A video showing a Chinese girl using a clever technique to signal she needs help has been widely shared on popular social network TikTok. She is shown being escorted away by a stranger in an airport. Unable to make a cry for help, she makes a subtle hand gesture that looks like the signal for “OK”.
This alerts a passer-by, who immediately begins to argue with the man, and helps others recognise that the girl is being held against her will. She is then reunited with her parents. So why has the video created such a big reaction on Chinese social media, and made the authorities so upset?

Compared to being called a letter box, the outrage shown will be nuclear.

I see no use for almost all of them.

If not then I will have to vote Brexit Party. Boris needs to say the right things in the right way and, with help from Nigel, he will probably win hands down despite the constant attacks and lies from the MSM.

Surrender flag raised in the early hours. Lords will not challenge the Benn surrender deal.
More bluff calling? Will they now vote for a GE, in line with Jeremy Dustbins demand?
Boris confident of getting a GE majority as no Goverment can be bound by its predecessor?
Was Boris ever serious about the no deal bargaining chip?
Brexit party pact?
Do i smell a rat here, have the 17.4 been stitched again?
Remember a vote for the Brexit party will split the vote and we will have a labour SNP lib dem green alliance to really finish the country

Is anyone else getting really fed up with political reporter Lewis Goodall’s blatantly biased opinions? It doesn’t seem that long ago that reporters like him used to make a big effort to be impartial. He makes almost no effort to hide his opinions.
