I heard him eloquently reminding that labourite baroness on the power of the people and it was a joy to listen to common sense. What it did bring home is the utter disgraceful state of the opposition benches. And these scum are called honorable. What a joke.

Well, GW, it sort of depends what suits the moment. Remember that O’Brien told Winston that two plus two might equal four in some circumstances, as well as three or five or any other number if it suited the Party.
On the one hand, we’re told there are multiple genders, a dozen, 72, 100 or any number you like, providing you don’t insist on a simple hetero-binary distinction.
On the other hand, the binary logic has its uses when there’s a particular agenda to be pushed. So, for instance, if Bruce Jenner wants to be Caitlin Jenner, Vanity Fair’s “Woman of the Year” [sic] not too many moons ago and the Gold medal winner in the Men’s Decathlon at the 1976 Olympics, then the logic is, “not man = woman”, i.e. he must be regarded as a woman if he says he’s not a man.
Likewise, Bradley Manning can become ‘Chelsea’ Manning and must not be misgendered. So, ok, if we accept that Manning is “not man”, by what non-binary logic can (s)he be a woman? The multi-gender pseudo-logic dictates that “not man” does NOT equate to “woman”, just as “not woman” cannot equate to “man”.
A sane Country … where a man called Stormzy who shouts out the name of his beloved “Oh Jeremy” and refuses to turn up to sing for his beloved is said to be the equal of Beethoven.
A sane Country where the wrong words can get you arrested or lose you your job from ASDA, just using a comedians views on a religion that is so sensitive it demands a word is created to stop any criticism, but will not create other words for other religions.
A sane Country where beating a drum and rubbing your crotch at Notting Hill with the police joining in is deemed as worthy as ballroom dancing and a symphony of Beethoven.
A sane Country the genital mutilation of girls is said to evil but the police cannot arrest anyone because that would be more evil and yet children as young as 4 are told they can have their genitals removed as a trans gender on the NHS so they can be who they really are even though they have no idea who that is yet.
A sane Country that has a border to protect by its Government but lets 66 migrants sail freely onto its shores then classes them as undocumented without worrying that criminals would do this very thing to escape jail in Iran.

It is parliament that has attempted, under Bercow, to become the dominant political institution -which will tell the PM what he can and cannot do in future.
It is now up to the people to cut the parliament back down to size, and remind MPs that they are the SERVANTS of the people, not their masters. The sight of some MPs drunk on power is not a pleasant one. They know they’re being televised, so play up to the cameras to earn their little place in history.
I look at the Blackfords and listen to the Grieves of this world, and I realise the extent of their corrosive fanaticism, visible and audible to all. Whereas the former is clearly a rabble-rouser, the latter is more dangerous – knowledgeable, a good speaker, couching his treachery in reasonable- sounding demands, while actually trying to undermine the Executive and the nation, in order -presumably -for us (and prospective employers) to see what a big shot and clever lawyer he is. The Rebels have suddenly discovered ‘THE LAW’, but that will be the case only for as long as it suits them. And they will be making it up as they go along, and simply shoving it through parliament with the connivance of he speaker, a law every day or two if necessary to achieve their objectives.
Time for the people to lay down some firm boundaries as parliament gets much to big for its boots, acting not for them, but for its own vanity.

As the BBC keep on repeating Bercow’s claim that this year prorogation is longer than standard – here again the table presented by “sciencefiles.org”:

So I thought I’d try and find another source and discovered this in the HoP Library. They bend the truth to suit their purpose:
“Prorogation is the mechanism by which parliamentary sessions are ended. On 28 August 2019, it was announced that Parliament would be prorogued no later than 12 September 2019. It was confirmed on 9 September that Parliament would be prorogued later that day, bringing an end to the current 2017¬-19 session which started in June 2017. The new parliamentary session is to begin 34 calendar days later on 14 October 2019.
Based on data since 1900, excluding first sessions of new parliaments (ie. those following general elections):
• The number of calendar days between the end of the 2017-19 session and the start of 2019 session would be the largest since 1930.***
• From 1900 until 1930, it was not unusual for there to be lengthy breaks between sessions, a mean average of about 72 calendar days. The median average was 54 calendar days.
• Since 1930, the mean average has been about 5 calendar days, a median average of about 9 calendar days.
• Since 1999, the mean average has been about 8 calendar days. The median average is around 5 calendar days.”
*** That is simply untrue: Parliament would have been absent from mid-September to early October during the three-week party conference season anyway – AS PLANNED AND AS HAPPENS EVERY YEAR.
Seems to me the length of prorogation is absolutely average?

Suppose that will earn her a lengthy interview with beeb R4 news at 10pm tonight. They gave Dominic Grieve one last night, and I thought it was never-ending: The Dominic Grieve Show on R4. After that, they managed to squeeze N Zahawi in for the Tories, for a few minutes, but he sounded ineffectual after the combative Grieve. Anyhow, R4 made sure he had to be cut short.
Every Labour MP must be agonising something rotten just now knowing that the clock is unavoidably ticking down to the day of their departure and a return to a proper job. Especially the northern MPs. They will simply get obliterated. I’ve never known my family to be so angry at the lies of the remain MPs and those who assist them in their resistance of a GE. The dam will burst though. Soon rather than later. It must do.
So what is Boris’s big plan? Media are speculating non stop.
I could be wrong, but I see Boris still supporting a watered down Treezer deal.
For the next couple of weeks he bashes Labour for blocking an election and trying to delay Brexit. Then wham, EU agrees to a Treezer deal with Boris and we Brexit in name only presented, however, as a victory for Boris, getting us out for Halloween. Boris goes on to win the General Election as the peoples PM.
Farage will continue to fight for a real Brexit.
UKIP will fight for immigration control and be blasted by everyone.
It’s quite possible, but he must know that if he did that the Tories would be decimated in the subsequent election. He really has no option but to leave on no deal if he can find a way to do it. Though still the BBC pretends there are no loopholes by which he can.
Meantime, I read that No 10 fully expects an attempt to revoke Article 50 when Parliament returns. Are MPs really so oblivious to public sentiment as to try? On current evidence I’d say they are.
They just don’t care anymore. In this country we have no consequences for actions. Anarchy!
Seeing as the whole basis of QI is that what we have been told, quite likely by the BBC, is wrong shouldn’t the BBC be ashamed?
In the Telegraph this morning William Hague writes that it is a disgrace that Boris expelled the 21 Tory rebels. He goes on to say that the Tory party has always been a broad church and accommodated dissenting views, that these rebels are honourable men and women who have done great service to the party and country. It astonishes me that the Tory power brokers like Hague still don’t get it. The party that got 9% of the vote in the Euro elections in May is a dead duck. The only way it can survive is to deliver as a minimum a decent Brexit that Nigel Farage will at least conceed is much better than the May WA, even if he isn’t enthused about it. Of course the closer they get to an endorsement from Nigel the better things will be for them.
Tories like Hague are completely out of touch with the public and with most Tory party members. The public and Tory membership not only want a decent Brexit , but as the Brexit blockers in the liberal establishment continue their childish games , they want the establishment to be replaced by a more nationalistic one. The liberals across all parties have had all their cover stripped away by the Brexit struggle , we can see them to be anti British internationalist and we want rid of them. If you are a Tory MP, ordinary member or a grandee like Hague , join the revolution or face the consequences. It is the only way the Tory party can survive. I also think that a lot of Labour MPs should heed that advice because their cover has been blown as well and their constituents realise the MPs and Labour has not been representing their interests.
I note that yesterdays reasonably good economic news was relegated to a brief mention on the News at One and not mentioned at all on the News at Six. Dearest Faizal must have been lying down in a darkened room.

Recently had a convo with an excitable Remainer about BBC programming, specifically transparency, editorial integrity and trust.
They started firing links at me. All iPlayer and staff tweets.
The convo stopped when I pointed out that I was unable to view the iPlayer programmes and two of the staff accounts cited had blocked me for asking questions they did not feel like pursuing.
The not only create and live in their bubble, they guard it fiercely.
How that is a viable state media model, I am unclear.

I commented on Sunday, during the game that Geoff was noticeable by his absence these days. His appearances seem to be limited/closely controlled too just one or two a day, whereas Ebony Raining-Brent seems to get at least two stints a session.

I watched University Challenge last night and if I am not much mistaken, one team member was a transgender person ( I am a middle aged woman from the West Country so a bit slow on the uptake in these matters, i am happy to be corrected. I called the other half in for a second opinion, I shan’t repeat his comment). What was very noticeable though was the ratio of close-ups the person got compared to the other contestants, about three to one. I was left feeling that some sort of point was being made, I’ll be bumswizzled if I know what though!
I agree Daphne .. I like UC but you have to be aware of the sly manipulation they use to get us to accept “genderism”. Every week I always scrutinise the contestants as I know they will be pushing the “gender issue” and in some instances it is difficult but you begin to see that “things just aren’t as they appear” I agree that the amount of camera time showing an obvious trans is completely over the top. Hello OC…i can only think that, given the broadcaster’s apparent view that most of the public are thick bigots who would be shocked and disgusted at the very idea of a transgender person, it is a form of aversion therapy…i.e,”if we bombard them with enough images, they will eventually accept it”. Again, I am possibly showing my ignorance but if someone has a genuine medical need to change gender, you would think that , having gone through that, they would rather then go about their business and live their life with no special attentions of any kind?

Parliament has officially been suspended for five weeks, with MPs not due back until 14 October.
Amid unprecedented scenes in the Commons, some MPs protested against the suspension with signs saying “silenced” while shouting: “Shame on you.

This was produced assuming the worst happened. The worst case scenario.
It was ‘gamed’ to see what should be done to mitigate extreme and unlikely possibilities.
A sensible precaution to look at any future dangers and to then make sure we will have strategies to prevent or manage any event, however unlikely.
The opposition have taken this to mean that everything in this report, all the worst possible outcomes, will all happen and nothing will be done to counter this.
Funny how they will believe this report as gospel.
If you done the same type of extreme risk assessment for yourself you would never step outside.
You would never cross the road because you could be killed by a speeding lorry.
You could be struck by a meteorite and killed.
You could be stabbed (actually, not at all so unlikely, especially in londonistan)
In short, anything could happen and can sound as bad as you want it to.
You can avoid being run over by a lorry by looking left and right before crossing the road and can keep safe by taking precautions.
The remainers believe yellowhammer will all take place and regard it as a blueprint in the same way as they use 1984 as their manifesto.
Just like the Armageddon predicted by the remainers if we voted to leave the eu in 2016.

I think it must be exciting, exhilarating even, to be part of Prime Minister Johnson’s team. Knowing you’re one of the good guys, finally helping to do something good and proper for our country.
If I was younger I think I might have pestered them to let me join in. It’s the first time in literally decades when people are focused on achieving a worthwhile thing, all the while fighting and defeating the wicked ones.
I woke this morning to the dulcet tones of Mark Sowatka speaking on the Today programme and likening Boris to Trump. Just been watching Julia Hartley Brewer on Talk Radio on You Tube talking with Dromey ….who likened Boris to Trump. I presume people talk of little else in Left wing circles.
However doesn’t either of them know how popular Trump must be in some circles in America, that is the circles I would assume were Labour strongholds in this country. Might both Dromey and Sowatka actually be promoting Boris without meaning to?
I heard JHB’s interview with Dromey this morning. Listening to his righteous indignation when he accused her of impugning MPs’ integrity was hilarious. “Darn right I am”, she said. Puffed-up self-important turd that he is.
You wouldn’t have got the BBC challenging him as robustly.
Perhaps JHB should have asked Mr Harperson about his views on PIE and his wife’s view on sex with children but there again not many in both traitorous Houses are bothered about rape gangs all over the country, so nothing to see here move along.

Off topic, as is my wont, I thought some of us who don’t have a TV licence and perhaps rely on YouTube and Amazon prime for entertainment, would be interested in a couple of series I have found worth the time to watch:
On YouTube: TRAVELER, one word. Eight episodes. It’s better than average, certainly head and shoulders above anything the racist far-left bbc collective had on offer. I stuck with it to the end of all eight episodes. Unfortunately, it ends on a cliffhanger but the US TV stations must have decided not to make any more.
On Amazon: Gogol. Yes, it’s loosely based on Nickolai Gogol. I’ve watched the first episode – in Russian with English subtitles – and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. Obviously, I’ll have to see if the quality of storyline holds my attention but I’m looking forward to watching episode two tonight.
Jack Ryan on amazon is surprisingly good too- I almost started binge watching it – a find replacement for all things BBC . Dump your TV licence ….please …( the TV bods still write to me telling me I’m on a ‘kill’ list or similar ) … see what too much jack Ryan does ?
I see that fount of all wisdom and unbiased opinion that is Polly Toynbee advises us, in the event of a no-deal Brexit, to vote for Jeremy in his role as final arbiter of political acumen and probity.
Then again, it was in the Guardian – not least because it’s the only organ of pleasure left to her – so it might have been tongue in cheek, so to speak.
I forgot to report earlier that I listened to Toady this morning and heard the interview with the author of some childrens book(?). Cult followers were apparently let in to Waterstones to purchase said book and midnight in the midst of wild hoops of delight and cheering when the doors opened. From what I can gather in the interview between the author and the bee cult follower, it is a sort of modern day 1984 but which applies to the US in that the women are treated as mere ‘childbearers’. The author was asked about Brexit, curiously, but despite being an American and clearly a ‘man hater’, had an opinion. That it was wrong and would be different if only women ruled the World. Like Sweden I guess. Off.
As an afterthought I don’t think a comparison could be genuinely made with 1984 as that author was, (as I recall), non-discriminatory in the war the current females are waging against men. Ah well, perhaps the book related to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States after all…………….
G It was Margaret Atwood , a Canadian author of The Handmaids Tale. It’s not a children’s book. She wrote it in 1984, I read it and was quite a good read and has been made into two series which I enjoyed watching, However they have now made a 3rd series and she has written another book.(1 series and 1 book too many) why do they always flog a good thing. In 1984 it was a different world but now as she is a raving Democrat she has suddenly discovered it could be a Trumpian dystopia.Idiot woman, when I read it I instantly thought this is a description of life under ISIS.Women kept as slaves, made to reproduce, kept down without having any say in their lives and made to wear uniform and capes and hats so they could only see in front of them…hmm maybe not only ISIS but most of the middle east. I’m afraid she is just a hate merchant.

Dear Lord James of Blackheath,
Firstly may I congratulate you on this speech you made in the House of Lords on Friday last.
To remind everyone, here is the main body of your speech:
“My Lords, a week ago, I wrote a letter to the Lord Speaker in which I suggested that in certain circumstances which might occur, such as this morning, the entire House of Lords is ineligible to sit. I do not intend to pursue this point, but I want to explain why it occurs. I think it is important to us.
If the Lisbon treaty is allowed to stand and is not wiped away at midnight on 31 October, we are all, every single man jack of us, in breach of our oath on joining this House because we have allowed the omniscience of Parliament to be reduced by the elimination of the veto which was standing in our benefit until the Lisbon treaty. That has far-reaching consequences which go way beyond us and reach into the Palace and the Crown itself. We need to be aware of those implications. If I am right on that assertion—I have taken it to the Table Office and asked it to think about it, so there must be some professional opinions around—then we would be ineligible to sit today, and it would mean that this Bill cannot pass the House. I am not pursuing that.
What I am going to say is that I think the basis on which we are going forward from here is wrong because we have a situation in which we are facing a choice between remain, the no-go solution and, as came very much into focus in the latter stages of yesterday, the possible resurrection of the May deal. The May deal and remain both carry the same consequence that they would still leave us in breach of our oath. We need to have our oaths restored to us, which would happen if at midnight on 31 October if the Lisbon treaty was wiped away.
The first person we need to be concerned about in that respect is Her Majesty because we have the power of government placed in our hands by the coronation oath which she swore never to diminish, but we have diminished it for her. In those circumstances, do the British public realise they are being asked to consider a situation which might create a position in which Her Majesty would consider it was essential for her to abdicate? If that occurred, would it ever be possible to resurrect the monarch because nobody else could swear the same coronation oath? Let us be realistic about this. My whole criticism of the situation of opposition to no-go at the moment is that we simply have not informed the British public of what is at stake. It goes way beyond this.
We have this wonderful paper called Yellowhammer, which tells us all the dreadful things that will happen if we do go no-go. My secretary has an alternative list that I have complied called the Black Vulture, which is my list of the things that people do not know about which will happen if we do not go no deal. The first is the hazard it creates for the Crown. The second is: will somebody please tell us the truth about the European defence union? This is by far the biggest issue facing the British public and they know nothing about it officially. Can we please have a proper account of what it entails? Is it really true that the Government have entered into private agreements with the European Community that they will, on completion of remain or whatever it is to be, transfer to the European Union in Brussels the entire control of our entire fighting forces, including all their equipment? [Laughter.] Noble Lords may jest, but it has been done and they should check it out. It is too important to ignore. We must know the truth of this. We must have it clear for the whole public to know. I believe it is true, and I think we should be told. I understand that it is intended that the oath of every serving member of our forces will be cancelled and they will be required to undertake a new oath of loyalty to Brussels. I understand that in recent months, we have had a series of people sent from our Armed Forces to create and install the command and control centres to be used for the control of our troops once we have ceased to have any control over their use, application or deployment. It goes beyond this. They are to take control of our intelligence services, the whole core of Five Eyes. They will have MI6 and the Cheltenham monitoring centre, and we will be completely excluded from it under the new arrangements and have no access either to the— (giving way to Lord Blunkett, Labour).”

Lord James – as I see it, your amendment was ‘dropped’. Now you mention that the House of Lords cannot sit due to their Oaths having been made to the Queen and this obviously conflicts with the Lisbon Treaty. This comment raised some eyebrows among people like myself who have become more acquainted with our Constitution.
The House of Lords has been conducting itself unlawfully since 2000 due to the enactment of House of Lords Act 1999. I can find nobody absolutely nobody that focuses on this crucial aspect of our constitutional betrayal. This makes all legislation passed since then, null and void and this includes the Lisbon Treaty. I believe that you are a lifetime peer yourself and due to this matter, you are unfortunately personally implicated too. This information is not readily available on the internet but I have the evidence if you so wish to view? Suffice to say many peers turned up for work after the Act was passed and found themselves unable to gain entry to the House. Perhaps this is not surprising because many Lords have no official email address like your good self or at that time, did not use the internet at all?

The following video shows the timeline of the House of Lords being gradually ‘erased’ from the once all important role that the House used to have in British Society. As you are aware, the House was formed to provide the checks and balances to our ‘elected’ MPs. Unfortunately, the House of Lords is crammed full of political appointees from different political parties.
With regard to military matters, Dave Ellis, Carol Hellier and I orchestrated a very efficient campaign to notify the MPs that ‘we’ were planning to hand our military to Brussels. It is very clear to me that NATO is about to be disbanded which is not the government’s official narrative. I will leave this matter here for now.
Anyway, I’ve provided lots of information for you to ‘sink your teeth’ into. There are no real constitutional experts around IMHO.

I had a little look at Hansard on the ‘ fixed parliament bill ‘ as it went through the lords . It seems to have been ‘ rubber stamped ‘ without too much thought .
It demonstrates that the usual stuff thrown out whenever the legitimacy of the House of Lords just does not apply .
It does not ‘ refine ‘ bad law sent from the commons. 850 of them didn’t amend to to prevent a PM being unable to call an election .
It’s just a retirement home for Party Leaders favourite mates – no merit – again no democracy . The bubble doesn’t say anything because they all want to be in it one day
One thing has become abundantly clear from the whole Brexit debacle. The UK system of governance is no longer fit for purpose and needs completely overhauled. It is time for a written constitution – though how you get general agreement to anything in the current atmosphere I do not know.

Fed up, you have hit on something that is concerning me a lot. That is, that due to the Fixed Term Parliament, the “rabble” can continue to control things on return in October. This vould go on for dome time. Even worse, could one of the rebel Tory’s start introducing a bill to lower the voting age, thereby handing militant “uneducated” potential voters to the remain side to help them over the line if a Lib Lab pact did eventually get a majority Noted at the election.
Does Boris resigning force an election, or could the “rabble” form a Government, change the rules, go for a second referendum or simply agree to revoke Article 50.
If so, the blame has to firmly go on the shoulders of Remainer Tory MPs who have continued to conspire against the will of the people. They alone will be responsible for the demise of their own Party if Brexit is not fulfilled. That’s Brexit, not BRINO!

Oh yes and a torturous but lovely 139 mile drive from Campbeltown to Glasgow with no chance of widening or straightening the narrow winding road without some serious explosives : check out the Rest and be Thankful, (maybe the IRA could take on the contract?)
The regular rock slides will block the road and involve a diversion of about 80 + miles along narower roads

Or you could just take the ferry from Campbeltown to Ardrossan. It’s a nice sail, albeit it’s far too infrequent.
But the likelihood is that the Scottish end of any bridge to N.Ireland would be located at Portpatrick, not Campbeltown. Still far from ideal, of course, but apt to be much less onerous on drivers than the more northerly option.

Sykes is an idiot. The nearest motorway to Portpatrick (the M77) is around 75 miles (120 kilometres) away. And the nearest sustained stretch of dual carriageway is rather less than that. The point being not that the roads on the mainland side of the bridge are ideal but that, in true BBC style, Sykes can’t even get simple facts right.
Always the Twin Otter from Macrihanish airport and they used to land Galaxys at the USAF base there so no problem with moving cargo, one of the longest runways in Europe ….
