Midweek Thread 11 September 2019

Another anniversary of that World Changing day.RIP
Meanwhile it’s 33 days until Parliament returns and 51 days until the UK leaves the EU .

Will the biased Far Left BBC continue to fight brexit ? will it go into collective mourning if it looks like we are really going ? Will more so called journalists lose the plot ?

The excellent UKPressGazette runs out a “ coming week “ piece which mentions that next Thursday David Cameron publishes his book and will be interviewed on Toady by Sir/Lord John Humphreys in his final day as a Toady presenter / propagandist .

There will be one of those sickly BBC bye a thons of BBC “ personalities “ getting all emotional as if punters care .

Jonathan Freedland was on Jeremy Vine today pushing his new book about how the truth might get ‘vanished’.

Truth is under threat, after all we had Trump’s inauguration photo and the Brexit Bus, all ‘lies’ and naturally the examples that a BBC/Guardian hack will quote over and over again.

Doesn’t Freedland see the irony in publishing his book under the name of Sam Bourne rather than his own. But then there is truth and BBC/Guardian truth isn’t there?

The truth is in short supply on the bbbc quite often, for example peaceful TR marches with the elderly, families with children: never reported.as such, subjected to antifa violence and abuse, never reported

Black knife crime always accompanied by a photo of a white hand holding a knife

Muslims rapists reported as asian, an insult to all asians

Witnessed a scene that typifies our twisted society a while ago someone reported a man with an arabic language asleep on the tube but in some distress as semi conscious also and was told “this always happens” but insisted a manager looked at him and said “he may be an immigrant who is ill and was then verbally attacked by a muslim worker there as racist, I understand the person who was attacked by the muslim is to make a complaint, fat chance of anything being done about it

As a frequent traveller on the tube I am astounded at the behaviour of so many of the west indian / african and asian workers there and their complete and utter arrogance, and rudeness to travellers with no concept of customer service, obviously not 100% of obnoxiousness is down to them, but very close to this, with overseas tourists treated with behaviour that if it was a white person would be called racist

I would like to see signs in every station indicating how complaints can be made against these people who quite frankly should not be employed

Want to talk about hate crime ? watch an african tube worker when confronted with some confused chinese at a ticket barrier, I helped one one day as the african at the ticket barrier stated “all Shangahai people are disobedient”

people asking for information and told : “read the signs !” etc etc ……

and yet these are the people who continually whinge about racism in this country at every opportunity

I had the unfortunate experience of taking a flight from Manchester airport last October, I hadn’t travelled from there for a few years, what a disgusting filthy place it was, I was truly shocked, It was like a 3rd world country airport., We were shunted down some grimy badly lit stairs like cattle and then when we arrived in the holding pens to have our bags searched we had a third worlder shouting and pushing people into queues to be seen, it was terrible, it’s like he was on a power trip. I shouted at him how dare he speak to people like that. I was so angry being spoken to and reported him but the rest of the staff must be hired for their bad manners and disregard for the public.

The bias against Johnson is disgusting and well past the stage of them even trying to be balanced. It is bad enough that the lefty rags are spamming out stories of Johnson’s latest evil deeds but the BBC have to be impartial and they are seriously not doing that.

      Time to close them down

I wonder what the title of his book is

      “No ifs – no buts”

And a good Broadcaster would replay some of the lies and threats which this former prime minister came out with during the Referendum ..

Dover, the BBC are not actually encouraging listening AFAIAC. I tuned in to the start of the News Quiz. Question One ‘Who got hammered this week?’ Toward the end of Q1, Susan Calman starts on a rant.

OFF switch operated. Didn’t go back. (Good to hear Francis Wheen back on the show.) I may not bother with Any Questions. Chakrabarti and Wollaston could be too much for me to take on.

I’d love to know what the rate of TV Licence non-renewals is running at. The Beeb are running daily ads on R4 to promote on-line renewal. They appear to be a bit desperate.

The ads are actually quite good but annoying when you think of the over-75s. Wonder who the agency was? Perhaps they were done in house to save money for all the BBC presenter & female salary increases.

Can anyone let me know if they are running on TV as well?

        Up2snuff,

Times are changing. Brexit has rightfully caused a huge upset among the smug and self-satisfied BBC.

The BBC are my primary target. There are many secondary targets, but let’s deal with the BBC first.

I did not happen. The Brexit Party have not taken any seats. This is the North East and it is Labour seats. No one will break the tradition up there! Labour will win the next election of course!

In all seriousness though the fact that the Guardian (BBC news letter) have done an piece on opinion polls and how they are ‘unreliable.

The same Guardian who would be the first to let us know whenever Labour have gotten ahead.

Not that Labour get ahead much these days. The last poll that would not be within the margin of error that had Labour ahead was roughly two months ago before Johnson became PM

lots of councils pushing their noses into national affairs. all infested with Corbynists who love the people, until, of course we ask them to meet the public to explain our joint funded infrastructure project and they run a mile and leave us to it of course it would mean turning up at 7 pm maybe that would frighten them and of course they love bullying the public via policies but would never have to nerve to meet them face to face

For the first time in yonks I have visited the BBC R4 Page on the w/site to see who was on AQs. It has turned into a comic book.

I did get a laugh from it.

    See here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4

First item on left, under heading ‘Highlights’ and below the On Air bar across the top of the page. Pic of President Trump (from rear) at a 2020 event. Headline: ‘Impartial Journalism in a Polarised World.’ Sub: ‘Alternative facts, impartial journalism and democracy. Can news deliver in a digital age?’

A Bluebottle moment: “Neeuughhhhh. I do not know, I do not. Not at the BBC. Te hee heeeeeeee!”
