44 days of election bias thread

At last there may be change ( or a hung parliament with more madness). We must record the far left bias of the BBC with or without restrictions imposed by law on broadcasters to be
‘fair ‘. We all know how the BBC interprets fairness . Let’s drain the swamp .

      What did you expect? Seriously?

The cowardly inept useless Tories don’t deserve to win an election. I honestly hope the Fascists beat them and then the Tories can hide in their expensive bunkers and cry.

It’s like a team of athletes – lazy fat out of condition not caring if they win or lose as long as they keep their paychecks rolling in, watching the other side openly cheating and then being so idle as to not do anything about it.

The Tory list of total idleness and incompetence is a long one.

      Failure:

To deal with open BBC bias despite others continually crying out about it.

To refer the acquisition of regional titles by Labour supporting Mirror group, meaning a Labour supporting regional press in virtually every town & city.

To deal with the massive Pakistani Muslim voting fraud all over the country, almost always in favour of Labour.

Allowing Labour to take control of the Police resulting in now in a politicised Police force uniterested in crime, campaigning for Labour. Only yesterday the Obersturmbahnfuhrer of GMP (Gestapo Manchester Police) was criticising the Tories overso called ‘austerity’

To form any kind of alliance with the Brexit party which will split their vote

Allowing mass immigration, at record high levels without even uttering a peep, in spite of election promises to reduce it. These migrant will vote for Labour and lose the Tories their marginal seats.

Given the chance they have sided with Labour in attacking those people on their own side of politics, but in keeping with their cowardly nature, they have failed to attack Labour for their open Fascism / Nazism.

I’m sure I’ve left some examples out, but a party like this simply does not deserve re-election – as many have said it needs to die.

I can sort of understand that these CINOs might be popular in their own constituencies and people there may vote against the Conservatives if they feel their favourite has been betrayed. However there is no way these anti-Brexit donuts will ever agree to a real Brexit so a mutually beneficial deal with Nigel is out of the question.

These are really quite extraordinary circumstances. We’re facing the biggest decision in living political history.
We simply must get rid of these treacherous Remainers. But how to vote…For a lot of us it’s going to be a bit of a conundrum.
It seems (as far as I’m aware) that The Brexit Party is contemplating fielding a full list of candidates, potentially weakening the Tory vote. There’s no love lost…
My gut inclination is to vote for The Brexit Party…
However, my own MP, Crispin Blunt, has been pretty sound on Brexit. Actually he’s really solid. I disagree with him on all manner of other things, but this is the Brexit election. The only thing that matters. We must at least begin to “clear the swamp”.
So, unless anyone here can offer sound reason why I should cast my preference elsewhere, he’ll probably get my X in the box.
Anyway, after my miserable post let’s try to look on the bright side.
What ever the result there’s bound to be some good news…

What I cannot risk is a Corbyn government. I voted Brexit party at the EU elections, but not this time. However bad the deal is, what would the Corbyn McDonnell duo bring. The country would sink lower and what despair would they take us to before we were rescued. By that time our pensions would be worthless, our hospitals like Cuba and our currency worthless. Oranges and lemons as imports would be so expensive that they will be a distant memory and scurvy rampant. The only good thing would be nuts and avocados would be so expensive too that snowflake vegans would change their mind about meat. Except the only meat around would be from fluffy bunnies.

My mp is labour who voted against all his constituents wishes (it’s a leave area) and will try and do anything to stop brexit. He needs to go and the cons are not liked here so the cons need to not go against the BXT candidate so it doesn’t split the vote

I think Boris has said he won’t do a deal with Farage unless he takes No Deal off the table. To me, Tories blocking no deal makes them unelectable. USA had the courage to elect Trump. It has to be Brexit Party. The same old Lib-Lab-Con has utterly failed us.

Deborah, scurvy? I dread a Corbyn government as well but people lived on these islands long before we began to import citrus fruits. Scurvy was a problem for sailors who were at sea for months on end. Berries have vitamin C, Peas have V C. Srawberries, broccoli, sprouts, the humble potato, there won’t be scurvy. I don’t think there will be Corbyn either unless they rig the vote.

This is the essence of ‘first past the post’. We can vote for whoever we believe in though there are always ‘wasted votes’. Under a PR system, like that applied to the European Parliament elections, the motivation for negative voting is removed.

        Oak,
There isn’t a single party that will have even one MP after the GE that doesn’t as a minimum accept that continued migration is a necessary and perhaps good thing! Even Nigel has repeatedly said that he welcomes controlled migration exactly the same message that PP has given recently. There no chance at all that any current party will reverse the mass invasion process of the last thirty or forty years. No one in the UK is going to save us from Islamisation over the rest of the century. Our only hope, and I mean only hope , is that in the future President Trump in his second term and the Italians, Visegrad grouping and perhaps France manage to change the political weather and reassert the right of nations to determine their own path. Therefore buying time by keeping the Marxists out is the only sensible option and with FPTP that means piling in behind Boris apart from in those seats where TBP has the best chance and the Tories have none.

Very much agree Doublethinker, the rise of Islam in this UK and throughout Europe should be the most important issue on all plates as the Muslim population rises to over 76 million in Europe/UK and will rise as millions now assemble weekly on the shores of North Africa ready embark across the Med. If European countries close their borders to all illegal immigration and deport those already illegally in their countries, thos immigrants will keep coming until Western Europe is destroyed and the teaching of Islam inc Sharia Law become binding-we the white christian peoples will be slaves to the will of Allah. The war that will follow will be devastating, moderate democracy will never again be accepted.

BBC supporting an attack on asthma inhalers…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-50215011

Some pretty astounding (and totally unbelievable) claims such as:

“And at the individual level, each metered-dose inhaler replaced by a dry powder inhaler could save the equivalent of between 150kg and 400kg (63 stone) of carbon dioxide a year – similar to the carbon footprint reduction of cutting meat from your diet.”

I have no idea how much carbon dioxide is in a typical inhaler but by my reckoning 400kg would be a bloody massive volume and you would need a zeppelin to store your stock.

Reading the entire article it becomes evident that it is simply a totally rubbish scare story designed to attack meat, so often the “greens” bogey man.

Would it make more sense to attack the hundreds of millions of (plastic) bottles of exotically flavoured water, chia and other exotic fruit drinks, etc. often carbonated, the drinks of choice and toted everywhere by our green friends, not just the asthmatic ones?

Why not remove air bags from cars etc. double saving – cut gas production and eliminate some gas consumers from the planet at the same time!

This is typical “green” slow sabotage, death by a thousand cuts but in this case totally nuts!

Not Brexit , not the GE but the Rugby WC. Ignore the sports bans in the apartheid years and Imagine that in SA there were hundreds of black farmers and their families being murdered on their farms and the government was doing nothing about it. There would certainly be calls for SA to be banned from the RWC and for England to boycott the final. The BBC would be in meltdown. The woke folk would be out on the streets. But because it is white people who are the victims of this racist violence we hear not a peep.
The woke folk narrative that white people alive today are guilty of terrible crimes that their long dead ancestors may or may not have committed is highly dangerous. It’s is only a very small step away from legitimising violence against the living. If this narrative carries on for another five or ten years then we are likely to see gangs in the UK emulating what is happening in SA. Indeed there are signs that it has already started.
The woke folk are in for a very unpleasant surprise when they realise that their wokism is no protection against the consequences of the pogrom that they have started. The rest of us can see what is coming if these fools carry on with their lunacy but I’m not sure what we can do about it. Paying reparations, like Danegeld, won’t stop the violence but will only further legitimise it!

But the state broadcaster seems to think there is value in the contents of Party Manifestos . We’ve just seen that they are without value . They are lies .

If the Conservative party or Brexit Party have any tactical sense they will take advantage of their opponents weaknesses which has devolved into outright stupidity, and make sure every voter knows certain things.
    1) All the opposition parties want open borders and increased immigration.
    2) They want the voting age limited to sixteen years or lower.
    3) They want foreigners to vote in our elections.
    4) They want Britain to have increased subservience to the EU.

Tell it like it is and don’t prance around like a pack of plonkers is my advice for the coming contest. The Remainer crowd have shown just how dirty they play. Exposing their ridiculous policies would be very effective in my view. And it is the duty of the two pro Brexit parties to do so, because you can be damn sure that the BBC won’t be doing it.

Brexit deal ‘means £70bn hit to economy’

What impact will Boris Johnson’s deal with the EU have on the UK economy if Parliament agrees to it? According to the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, an independent forecaster, it would leave the UK £70bn worse off by 2029 than if Brexit didn’t happen. But the Treasury says it has more “ambitious” plans for trade than the organisation suggests.

      1. The UK’s trade with the EU has declined from a high of about 66-70% in 1992 down to 40-45% in 2016 and is probably even less now.
      2. The EU’s Budget is said to be going to increase (we know not by how much) and if we stay in or leave with a contributory deal, we are likely to be paying the EU an increased amount of more than £20bn.
      3. That other economic viewpoints and forecasts are available …..

It is utterly bogus. Economists can only try to estimate what GDP growth will look like from quarter to quarter, and they usually get that wrong. Everything about this “forecast” depends on the assumptions fed into it, and I rather think that the left wing wonks at this think tank are not exactly Brexiteers.

I see the illiberals as just another brand of Far Left . I agree that levels of corruption through false postal voting and improper use of ID will have a big effect .

Perhaps the methods used by President Trump to bypass the Mainstream media will be used bigly this time – and the normal distraction about live debates will waste days of pseudo debate when a lot of people will just be wondering if the tele is any good this Christmas and whether they are putting them great escape , wizard of oz or ‘die hard ‘ on …. ( other Christmas type films are available )

By the way – ‘some ‘ might raise an eyebrow with the use of the term ‘Far left ‘ . I use it because there is no “right” anymore – just “Far Right “ – so that’s why I use it .

Labour (with help from feeble Conservatives) have done all they can to reduce social mobility since the 1960s.

Grammar Schools and relatively cheap rail and road transport were the biggest drivers of social mobility, providing the route for many in the population to obtain education, University or apprenticeship access, better employment, house ownership and more besides.

“I’m going to be Prime Minister.”

    “Oh, that’s unlikely, isn’t it?”

“I’m going to be Prime Minister.”

    “Oh, no you’re not.”

“I could be. When people realise how important it is to junk democracy by over-ruling the EU Referendum result, they will vote for me to be Prime Minister.”

Not biased in itself but a good marker for future ‘impartial’ BBC contributions.
On very good authority I can report Kathy Lette appearing on a magazine programme on ABC Australia. Tucked away on the other side of the world she clearly felt she could unload both barrels, on Brexit and the coming election.
It was a total full-on anti -Brexit anti-government polemic. Vicious in her attack of Boris, threatening the break up of the UK, and saying in terms how we were all lied to in respect of voting for Brexit. Bizarrely an Australian fellow guest in his home country felt he needed to redress the balance to some degree by offering some overarching understanding of the issues. That’s how bad she was.
So the next time the BBC book Kathy Lette, and claim her appearance rates some level of impartiality, we can stick it straight back down their throats.

Sluff, we were all lied to. She’s right on that but it was by Remain and Remainers and Remoaners

“Vicious in her attack of Boris, threatening the break up of the UK, and saying in terms how we were all lied to in respect of voting for Brexit.”

OK, I’m not impartial, I’m a keen Brexiteer, even more so after the horrors of the discovery of the contents of that truck trailer in Grays last week.

But I have been listening to the memes for weeks now, doing some research and compiling a list. Funny thing, but almost all of the lies – in reality 100% – came from Remain and Remainers.*

Some were Remain lies about the Leave Campaign or about Leave voters. The famous £350m (proved to be correct five or six times, before, during and after the campaign) or the less famous, but should be much more so, Vince Cable Slur: “They voted Leave because they are old, they are racists and are xenophobes.”

      It is a growing list.

If I recall correctly, the only thing remotely anything like a lie told by the Leave Campaign, isn’t really. That is the claim that the Leave Campaign said reaching a deal with the EU after Leaving would be easy. (Due to the imbalance of trade, EU to UK & vice versa.)

That’s not much of a lie because the negotiations since 23 June 2016 have been hampered, obstructed and undermined – constantly – by Remainers who will not accept a democratic decision.

That’s the only one I can think of. There may be more.

      * Brexiteers, Remainers and Remoaners reading this, if you can think of any ‘Lies by the Leave Campaign’, please post them here in response to my request. Am grateful for all contributions.

maxi, maxi! Where are you, maxi? This is your big opportunity to be helpful.

I think the whole sentence reads something like ‘it will be the easiest deal in history with goodwill on both sides’
I may not have the exact words used but it’s more or less as above.
This was because we start at the same place with all our standards being eu standards so we have equivalence as all the customs and trading rules etc are the same.

Interesting that we’re in a “44 days of election bias” thread although general election broadcast rules are designed to ensure impartiality and to stop one party or candidate gaining an advantage.
We can assume that the BBC will stick to the guidelines around time slots, numbers of guests etc.
This doesn’t stop editorial bias, however. This will be delivered by whatever the BBC chooses as its priority news items – what topics/narratives are given main headlines, which stories are buried or ignored, how aggressive or passive it’s interviewers are towards certain candidates etc etc.
We know that the BBC hides behind its “we’ve represented all sides” mantra – but we also see clearly that it adopts a different tone, asks different questions etc. depending on the subject/interviewee.
It is constantly guilty of bias by omission, so let’s see whether it pushes certain left wing narratives and ignores conservative ones, blows up certain issues and downplays others.
Will it ponder Boris’s peccadilloes or examine Corbyn’s alleged terrorist sympathies? Will it assume “austerity” as a current ‘thing’, or remind viewers and listeners why spending cuts happened after the country was almost left bankrupt?
    Mmm, let me guess….

No argument we have to bring back Capital Punishment for such horendous crimes-they do not deserve to live and certainly not in our prisons at the tax payers expense-it is an isult to all of us- knowing that execution would be the end result, many would think twice before commiting heinous crimes as of the Fusillier Rigby’s premeditated murder. The country really should have been up in arns that these culprits at what these disgusting fiends did. With such public exposure they should have been executed as they certainly would have been in their own country. Weak Liberalisation in charge.

Earlier today there were some comments about some outfit with a doom and gloom economic report ( another one ) and how it was being used by the state broadcaster as a Project Fear weapon . Well our betters have noticed this too – particularly some Tory MPs who are twittering that the broadcaster must stop reporting it as ‘ gospel ‘ –

Particularly when I think it is partly funded by the Reich Eu

Also on Twitter – official confirmation. That Bercow is gone after the 31st .-to spend more time with his ego .

Fed – the beeb often use a “report/study etc..” to push a narrative/agenda.

the named source is usually displayed for about 3 secs, probably just enough time for them to claim “we showed our source”

until the last 10yrs I never payed much attention to the sources the beeb uses.

but now the bias in sources/ngo’s/anti fracking greens/etc makes it no longer a impartial state broadcaster.

I punished myself by listening to some of Princess Nikki Campbell’s show this morning.

Several of the pro-Labour callers sounded more than a little demented, but the worst was a man from the North East who wound himself into a psychotic fury about the ruin the Conservatives had brought upon Britain (economic growth, low unemployment, that sort of thing).

By the end of his impassioned tirade, he was reduced to repeating “the Conservatives are evil” over and over.

“Evil”. What a word. The Nazis were evil. Pol Pot was evil. A mainstream British political party (and by implication the people who vote for it) is not “evil”.

If someone had said that about Labour, I think Princess Nikki would have shut them down. But he must have been busy with a sudoku or something, because the man was allowed to rant without interruption.

Is it just possible that, after a career in the BBC, Nikki is so used to hearing the Conservatives called “evil” that it just didn’t register?

I say replace Nikki with Samira Ahmed, she’ll be just as bad, but a lot cheaper.

BA Heathrow have apologised to BBC resident bag-lady Mary Beard for requiring her to strip. Quite apart from the removal of a jacket not being a ‘strip’ in the accepted sense, her decision to go bra-less would surely have meant that those observers traumatised by the experience were equally due an apology, and indeed compensation.

Sir Richard MacBoatface achieves recognition for his wonderful series on wild life. Film of Albatross chicks dying drew tears from viewers.
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-50206811
    Says the BBC
‘Sunday’s instalment explored Antarctica, home to such creatures as the grey-headed albatross, the Weddell seal and the gentoo penguin.
The programme saw these creatures and others deal with such climate change-related phenomena as rising sea levels, melting ice caps and unusual weather events.
    ———————

Unfortunately MacBoatface never checked the science.
The Southern Ocean is not warming up and the cauae of Albatross deaths is accidents caused by industrial fishing.

Link to a counter argument and a few facts.

Attenborough just narrates what text for the doc is put in front of him I think (from a cumfy chair).
the beeb now use his dulcet tones to accompany staged/or very unlikely to be caught on film events (the beeb can spent xxx pounds for a cameraman to wait for a year,so I could be wrong)

he is the best useful idiot/believer for the beeb climate change narrative.
