I mentioned this yesterday…that the BBC haven’t reported ‘expert’ opinion that the leaked NHS documents that Labour are using to attack the Tories came from a Russian source. The BBC spent three years trying to say Trump is a Russian agent, that Brexit and the 2017 election was ‘stolen’ by Russian interference, and only last week were demanding to see suppsoed evidence of that russian interference telling us that during an election it was essential that this information is released to the public.
‘”Parliament and the public ought to have and must have access to this report in the light of the forthcoming election and it’s really unacceptable for the prime minister to sit on it”, Mr Grieve told the House of Commons.’
Odd then that a report that Labour is using documents provided by Russian sources as a mainstay for its election campaign is completely ignored by the BBC….an ongoing election campiagn not historical ones. Funny huh? Suddenly democracy, transparency and the publics’ need to know have been abandoned. We don’t need to know this apparently. We need to see the report so that we can learn lessons and stop interference…but not just yet in this situation huh? Not until the Commie Comrade has his feet under the No10 desk huh?

The NHS is ‘free at point of use’. We all contribute to it with our taxes. Yet Corbyn says it should be free to everyone as a ‘Human Right’. This is unsustainable as the video clip shows that procedures and drugs cost money. What it does not tell us is how the NHS costs these same procedures. So the public is lulled into thinking it is cheaper because it is ‘free at point of use’. Hence we do not complain vehemently to our MP’ about the cost of healthcare tourism!

Has not been since 1950 or whenever Prescription Charges were introduced. If you ever hear a politician in the current era claim the NHS is ‘free at the point of use’ then you know they are being at best imprecise & careless (usually in order to deceive) or deliberately deceptive.
Apart from the fact that all UK employees contribute to it, the NHS became increasingly less ‘free at the point of use’ during the 1980s. Yet another example of how Margaret Thatcher was a rotter and rotted on us all in the changes the Government led by her introduced.
The true statement is that In an emergency, the NHS is ‘free at the point of use’.
Apart from that, with some exemptions, everyone pays for eye care, dentistry, drugs for inoculations and the injection, car parking, some tests for various fitnesses to do things and minor surgeries that are not on the current ‘acceptable list’ or are deemed ‘non-threatening’.
You are right to say that it is paid for by our taxes, Skeptic, but is far from free in use.
From her first serious illness in 2002 until her death the NHS spent about £150,000 on my wife. In that time the only cost was for dentistry and spectacles. Car parking was free for the disabled; prescriptions were free for the elderly.

Large parts of the NHS are already privatised. The whole supply chain for instance, is privatised. If it were not so, think what would happen if the food supply chain to all shops, supermarkets, were managed by the guvment. Too, drug companies are private too.
Guvment ownership of the health system has been tried before. In communist countries, mortality rates were high. The only drug that was available for treatment was vodka.
Many will remember going to visit a GP and taking their turn in the waiting room – at least we got to see the doctor that day.
The GP system is one of the broken parts of the NHS where folks now choose to go to an A&E instead of waiting weeks for an appointment.
Many GP’s now only want to work part-time for the NHS to leave them free to work in the private sector.

The UK’s NHS is unsustainable, as millions are coming into the UK, who have never contributed to it, and are unlikely to ever do so.
The only way is a two tier NHS or a points based immigration. Too, the removal of all so called asylum seekers – mostly Muslim claiming to be persecuted Christians.

It is to the eternal discredit of the Conservative party that Margaret Thatcher was ousted by plotters within her own party who were intent on chaining the UK firstly to the ERM, and then as an inevitable follow-on, the Euro. This act alone would have removed the last traces of democratic rule from this land. We forget now both ‘the Scottish experiment’ and the protests and riots. Her demise was entirely due to herself, her impatience, her lack of foresight and a chronic lack of attention to detail.
The SNP’s current strength goes back to that extremely foolish ‘experiment’ on the Scottish people. That is why the UK is divided more than ever: Margaret Thatcher and the Community Charge. The tax, in itself, was a good idea. But like some of her policies it was very badly and unwisely implemented.
She was still, by some way, the best PM of my lifetime! That does not say much for those PMs who preceded her and followed her.

The Community Charge would have been a per capita charge, no hiding behind company tax rules, an incentive for local authorities to improve their communities instead of run them down while moaning about lack of money from Central Government. It would also have incentivised individual taxpayers to get involved in local democracy and work in partnership with their LA.

The change to the way local authorities collected rates, although badly needed, was handled very poorly. The biggest mistake was allowing local authorities to use the change to a community charge as an excuse to massively increase their income from homeowners. My own rates bill went up by a massive amount under the local labour administration. Mrs T should have seen this coming. By the way, some Scots have always harboured an irrational hatred for the English, even before the Thatcher years. The SNP’s success owes much to Mel Gibson for helping them to capitalise on this and keep the whole xenophobia thing seething. As a half-Aberdonian I find the SNP perfectly revolting.

Unfortunately, the CC as introduced gave those in very large houses in wealthy LAs a massive discount over what they had previously been paying. That was then topped up from lower down the income & wealth ladder. A re-run of the first Howe Budget in 1979.
You are right about some Scots’ attitudes to the UK and Westminster/Whitehall but the failed Community Charge experiment starting with Scotland, built even more resentment which Blair was able to exploit for his own ends from 1997-on.
Politicians are often their own worst enemies: Thatcher, Foot, Kinnock, Major, Brown, any UKIP leader you care to choose except the earliest ones, Cameron, May, Johnson and Farage. That list may have Corbyn, McDonnell, Swinson and Sturgeon added to it on December 14th/15th. On the other hand, they may be busy forming a Government.

Nish Kumar is as funny as cancer.
He is the typical right on “comedian” who plays to audiences of left wing public sector “workers” who are all white and would consider not finding him “funny” to be a racist thought crime.
So he is used to getting easy laughs from people who have to find him “funny” for ideological reasons. For the same reason, he gets gigs on the BBC, and has no doubt convinced himself that he is a truly funny comedian.
This self delusion came crashing down to earth when he tried, for perhaps the first time in his life, to play to an audience of people from the real world. He lazily assumed that the sort of jokes about Brexit, Trump, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Boris, which make his usual left wing crowd hoot with right on laughter, would play equally well to an audience of ordinary people who have never heard of him.
A true comedian would be able to tailor his material for his audience, but that is clearly beyond Nish Kumar. And that is because he has never needed to go beyond his left wing comfort zone. He probably doesn’t even realise he is in a left wing comfort zone. He thinks he gets the gigs and the BBC work because he is so funny. The realisation that he isn’t, and that his lefty schtick only plays in his left wing echo chamber must have come as a profound shock to him.
Still, he can take solace from the belief that the Lords Taverners are all Brexit voting racist gammons. He will soon be back to being treated as comedy royalty by the BBC, and he will be able to put this distressing brush with reality behind him as the BBC money continues to roll in.

Any organisation which spends more than it receives in revenue (regardless of source) is loss making. Should it ever become privatised it would be overwhelmed by legal claims by persons demanding access to various drugs and procedures which the clinicians have determined inappropriate or unnecessary.
Considering their undisguised loathing for Donald Trump, the BBC are jockeying for front seats, tongues hanging out waiting for “his” helicopter to arrive at the NATO conference – a bit like pop fans….
I hope if there is a press conference, Trump gives them zilch!

I’ve looked at his Twitter feed, very angry, very left wing, I’m a very level headed person and rather than just dismiss others opinions and feelings I try to see them from other people’s points of view and if I can get a small amount of understanding it helps me to relate to what’s being said, even if I still don’t agree. However a just the first few of his comments and if I didn’t know better I’d think it was the feed of a student activist.
But here’s the thing, if God forbid I was to find myself in a similiar situation then you can be damn sure that I’d voicing my views to reporters. They wouldn’t be anti right politics and diversity, but we wouldn’t be that different in what we were doing, just in what the message was. And I genuinely think the message I would give would either go unreported or misreported but that’s a who,e different issue. I still remember the night of the Manchester Arena bombing and thinking that a line had been crossed but subsequently nothing really has changed.

I have a prediction to make regarding the atrocious Debden attack which killed a 12 year old child just before Christmas.
I like many others used to respect and support the Police, but since the far left Cameron made the catastrophically asinine decision to put Labour in charge (and a single individual at that not a committee) several of our cities have changed from being Police into a Gestapo like operation which is more interested in attacking our freedoms than policing crime.
So it was in Debdale. The loon in the car was known to Police, although they are not currently saying why. The car was parked in a pub car park with the perpetrator inside appearing to be asleep. The car had no insurance and should therefore not have been on the road. The Police were called but because so many were looking at facebook and twitter for the imaginary ‘hate’ they never turned up. Shortly afterwards Glover was given free rein to begin his murderous actions.
Essex Police have now referred themselves to the Police complaints commission, who will probably find that ‘hate’ was a more important priority.
So here’s the prediction. Despite the fact that the Police Commissioner is a Tory, this attack will be spun and distorted in the same way the Finsbury Park Mosque attack was, and Jo Cox to portray the attacker as some member of a far right organisation, and this in turn will be used to further oppress the British people and justify the calls of the ‘rise of the far right’ which as we all know is fiction.
The BBC will again play their part in this silencing every opposing voice telling the truth – both the FInsbury Park Attacker and Jo Cox’s murder were suffering mental health issues and were not connected to any extremist groups.
The one thing I can’t predict however is whether this is going to be released before the election, if it is then it is certain far left news media such as the BBC will be using it to attack the useless Tories who will inevitably fold, and provide a platform Labour in order to attack the white community which they hate probably more than they hate the Jews.
I see this as a significant issue for the future and that is why I have posted my prediction – to get it on the record now.
