The EU Free Thread 31 January 2020

It has been 1316 days since the EU referendum . In that time – and before – we have witnessed the biased Far Left BBC running anti brexit stories every day all the time; and it has failed . It may show the decline of the BBC on shaping and influencing public thinking and public life . Let’s celebrate a new sort of Freedom .

Boo-hoo, that nasty Boris didn’t invite the beeb round to film his Brexit speech and they’re having a sulk.

Looks like he’s taken a leaf out of Trump’s book to just ignore the beauty.

  2. ToobiWan says:

    Better link

  3. Fedup2 says:

Toobi cheers much better – thanks – ITV have got the Alistair Campbell award for having an unelected remainer traitor on their TV channel – despite brexit . There is a word which describes Mr Campbell which is banned on this site – me and the TV know what it is ,….

    • ToobiWan says:

I’m on a split screen, one with the latest link and the other the RT link. RT are showing a line of police horses, looks like they are expecting something going off come the witching hour. Bloody Russians!

    • ToobiWan says:

Happy Independence Day to all our readers!

  4. Dystopian says:

Alastair Campbell over on ITV looks rather sour faced.

  5. smoogie7 says:

Just over 20 minutes until we leave. I can hear the BBC singing ‘Auld Lang Syne’ from here!

  6. Fedup2 says:

20 minutes to brexit and a remainer from the Economist ( Anne mcevoy ) is being asked about the car industry in Sunderland .
As if the people in the bubble have any idea at all . ….

  7. Dover Sentry says:

ITV were suggesting that it was a problem that ‘older people’ supported Brexit and the Tories.

I think that it’s a ‘problem’ that younger people don’t.

  8. Fedup2 says:

You’ve really got to give it to the BBC – they’re hatred for President Trump – Trumps Brexit . At 22 44 the senate have voted against calling witnesses – lucky the EU isn’t involved because they’d make them vote again to get the ‘right ‘ vote .

  9. smoogie7 says:

    Ten minutes!

  10. vlad says:

Poor beeboids, poor Catty, trying to look happy – or at least professionally neutral – in the face of a double whammy: Brexit AND the Senate vote, in the space of just a few minutes.

    Get those trauma counsellors, quick!

  11. Ed Hitter says:

Direct quote from the BBC website: “Hundreds of pro-Brexit campaigners are holding a celebration rally in nearby Parliament Square, which is lined with Union flags.”
Over on Sky, they report that “several thousand” are in Parliament Square.
Our fact checkers are doing a head count right now to see who is telling the truth…

  12. OldRec says:

Well done everyone who voted leave!!!!!!
    Next target the BBC.

  13. Dystopian says:

  14. s.trubble says:

    OUT…..We’re OUT…..Thank you Britain……from a British Scotsman….and Unionist.

    • Charlie Farley says:

Yes excellent very pleased ..just enjoying a single malt …watch out for wee Krankie up there….she’s going to be trouble !

  15. scribblingscribe says:

Been dipping in and out of Sky and BBC news through the night. A couple of thoughts, could neither channel find any articulate Brexit voters? Have all the males in TV been fired for messaging on twitter?

  16. Tabs says:

BBC showed about 5 nanoseconds of Brexit celebrations before cutting to the Northern Island border live link up to discuss something boring and negative. ITV News, on the other hand, is showing an interview with Nigel Farage and lots of people cheering.

  17. smoogie7 says:

Well that is it. We have won. They told us that we would never leave and here we are. That start of a new era.

    Happy Brext!

  18. StewGreen says:

Hey , Sands is leaving ..
.. and Times is starting a radio station
are BBC staff being poached ?

  19. Dystopian says:

Whoa! Look out! The sky is falling down!
    Oh no it’s not.

  20. Fedup2 says:

Happy Brexit – I thought It proved a point that the MSM is as disconnected to the public as other bits of the Establishment are by not broadcasting the Nigel Farage speech live . I saw it online . He deserved a TV airing and didn’t get one .

    • smoogie7 says:

the BBC are too busy drowning their sorrows and panicking over no longer getting EU funding and whatever Boris will do with them next. The BBC are the next to go

  21. Hereward Wake says:

Once again I live in the free, democratic, sovereign nation I was privileged to be born in. I thank all who have fought for it, and fought against those who would subvert that democracy, against those that would silence free speech and who would see our great nation belittled, insulted and humiliated. And I thank this forum for giving me heart when I had almost lost it. God bless Great Britain!

  22. Dystopian says:

    Oh sh1t a cliff eeeeeeeeeeeeeedge!

  23. vlad says:

Aaand cut, from mass celebrating in Parliament Square to some dreary, empty street in Northern Ireland with a ‘no border’ poster in clear sight sending a subliminal message, where some reporter drones on about all the problems we’ll face there.

Thanks for lowering the tone and dampening the spirits, beeb.

  24. Fedup2 says:

Funny how after such a long time – there is now no such term as ‘remainer ‘ . If they start up with ‘rejoiner’ – good luck with that – see you in a couple of decades or more …

    • smoogie7 says:

we are all leavers now as we have all left.

I do think though that divisions will start to heal. It is done now and our country can move forwards

  25. Halifax says:

Wow the BBC managed to show us leaving without using one white male correspondent. It’s disgusting ……….where was Nigels Speach??? I presume that they didn’t have the rights to show it lol

  26. StewGreen says:

    The #FakeNews media

    • StewGreen says:

Meanwhile 1000 Remainiacs are reL angry at LKs tweet
      \\ Laura Kuenssberg @bbclaura
Just been through packed Parliament Square – not often we can say we are really living through a real moment of history – witness it yourself on @bbcone and @bbcnews in a couple of minutes //

  27. davylars says:

BBC…. vigil in Cambridge. Shows 30 people and a dog..

Just celebrated by opening a bottle of highland malt whiskey. Oh the irony.
    Happy brexit……

  28. Up2snuff says:

God bless the United Kingdom, the reigning Monarch and her family and may God deliver us all from evil.

God bless the nations of Europe and may He also deliver them from evil.

  29. Halifax says:

Well that’s it then the end of the BBC …..talking over UK citizens singing GOD SAVE THE QUEEN ……How dare they ……oh and I’m waiting for a male white reporter !!!!!!!!
I’m writing to my MP …….this cannot go on !!!!!

  30. Dimebars says:

Happy ” We’re Out the EU ” to everyone on this excellent website . There is nothing like the feeling of winning , it’s absolutely fantastic and it should never be apologised for .

  31. Jagman84 says:

On a rare foray on to BBC news, just after 2300 hrs, a plethora of presenters with faces like smacked ar$es. I feast on their remoaner/rejoiner tears. They will never change so it’s time to bin the whole s**tshow.

  32. Up2snuff says:

    Good night, everyone.

  33. StewGreen says:

    BAME corruption alleged

    • Fedup2 says:

The queen must like her – otherwise she’d be gripping the rail for ‘misfeasance in public office ‘ by now – a dusky Tony Blair appointee to make whitee feel good -when in fact she is just another avaricious lawyer …

  34. Fedup2 says:

I reckon a few nation states tied to the ReichEU will be watching us and seeing that being outside the EU is possible . Now that the EU is a foreign power our Foreign policy should be to do our best to undermine it – although I think it will do that itself as the Franco German mafia upset the eastern mini states ….

… as I write Ian Blackford has popped up on the BBC wearing a black tie .He sounded a bit like Frazer from Dads Army – ‘we re doomed “ . Time to redeploy Royal Navy bases to the south ….

  35. EricW says:

When Nige was being interviewed on Sky News, I heard someone in the background shout “down with the BBC”.

    • Charlie Farley says:

Yes you did hear that , good to see Nigel at last ……its all down to him….what a star ! ……now where’s my second bottle of single malt ………Thanks to everyone on this site and whooppee !

    • Dystopian says:

      Hopefully it was Boris.

  36. Dover Sentry says:

Sad that I could only watch the Brexit celebrations in Parliament Square via youtube. The most important celebrations since WW2.

The BBC have not just lost the plot, they’ve had the plot taken away from them by Remainers that make up the BBC.

And millions pay the BBC for this?

This year, we have to take back control of our national media. 6,000 employed to report BBC News? Where were they?

  37. Halifax says:

  38. Ed Hitter says:

11.15pm on this historic night, and the main BBC channel has already closed it’s miserable coverage. No message from the Prime Minister. Churlish to the end. They can’t wait to get off air.
Flick over to Sky and its coverage from Parliament Square has a brilliant moment as someone in the crowd bellows: “down with the BBC!”
Nearly spilled my whisky, I was so doubled up laughing…..our people, enjoying sweet victory.

  39. vlad says:

The bbc reporter in Parliament Square (I don’t know her name, but suitably brown) has managed to find 2 not very articulate people to bully – sorry, interview – about Brexit. Sure enough when interrogated – sorry, interviewed – about exactly what they mean by ‘getting back our sovereignty and laws’, they stumble and mumble, and one mentions ‘control over who comes here’.

Cut! It’s a wrap. See? Ignorant, racist bigots like we’ve been telling you all along.

    Job done.

    • Zelazek says:

Vlad, yes, a blatantly aggressive and transparently cynical interview. An outstanding example of the bias that permeates our national broadcaster’s output.

  40. Dover Sentry says:

One thing is obvious. The BBC hate Brexit. They always have, and always will.

The BBC have to be culled for the benefit of the nation. Only then, will the healing take place. The BBC created and sponsored the wounds. They the BBC created the divisions. The BBC must pay the ultimate price.

  41. Nodding Dog says:

Happy Brexit everyone here’s to a bright future lets make Britain great again!

Alastair Campbell,Nicola Sturgeon,Bercow,Swinson,BBC,Gina Miller your boys took one hell of a beating Femi Sorry I’m very Sorry but your boys (and girls lost!!!)

Also a bit of BBC bias for you.katya Adler reporting from outside The European Commission in Brussels. Not many people here just a few mourning and a few waving flags as soon as she said that a chap appears from nowhere and unfurls a European flag behind her! Of course that wasn’t staged was it!

    • Nodding Dog says:

I forgot to add to my list of losers that knob who was always shouting over interviews outside Parliament hopefully good riddance!

  42. Dystopian says:

Anyone have a link to Boris’s Brexit broadcast, please?

  43. Lucy Pevensey says:

Keeping the old “too many white people” theme going.

    • Fedup2 says:

Lucy – when the BBC played the anti white race card I thought ‘ we re on easy Ofcom complaint territory ‘.
Maybe they’d been happier if white people had coloured up to hit the DFS measures .

      • ToobiWan says:

I emailed DFS last year, F2 to ask them if they only sell their suites to mixed race couples. I was thanked and told my email would be passed on to their marketing dept. Still awaiting a reply.

    • Sabreman64 says:

During the BBC coverage tonight, the BBC London segment had a report from Romford. The vox pops had a black guy saying that if Brexit allows us to control immigration then it would be a good thing. I couldn’t believe my ears. How did the BBC allow that clip of that black guy to go on air? That was really not like the BBC.

(I just tried posting this comment over on the Guido Fawkes site, but was blocked by their damn moderation. A right pain in the backside, is their moderation. It deters me from posting there.)

      • Fedup2 says:

Sabre – definitely something in the air in Romford -which doesn’t accord with the biased BBC version on the world . It’s as if the BBC is treating the country as some kind of foreign nature programme with an Attenborough doing the voice over ,

It’s funny how much the Labour Party and BBC have in common having ‘periods of reflection “ .

I thought I’d celebrate brexit at midnight UK time as opposed to some EU construct ….

    • StewGreen says:

The repeat of the Jon Snow thing by the beeboid Guru
A lot of people on Twitter noticed

      @BanTheBBC commented
BOOM #BrexitDay BBC reporter “it’s a very white crowd”

Goes on to rant at the interviewee suggesting that flying the British flag wasn’t ‘welcoming’…
How about all these unwelcoming, British flag-flying white ‘bigots’ stopped paying the TV Licence??

    • StewGreen says:

People point out thst course all the Remain vigils tonight were white
      … Harrogate etc.

  46. Woolwich says:

Well it’s been a bit of a day.
Rachel Riley has gone down in many people’s estimations for her attack on free speech.
Nish Kumar is still a *****************
The BBC and indeed all broadcast media have urinated over an event that if it was happening elsewhere they’d be cheering to the rafters.
But so what. We won. We’ll fight and keep winning.
Good night everyone, good luck and congratulations.

  47. Nibor says:

    If I was any good with computers I would post The Who s song ;

    I’m Free

  48. Dover Sentry says:

    Won’t Get Fooled Again.

    How apt!

    Never, ever rejoin.

    • john in cheshire says:

And for all the trannies out there:

    • Up2snuff says:

Dover, incredible that, don’t think I’ve seen it before. Thanks.

Moonie and Townshend are all over the place. Entwistle was not enjoying that at all; with the keyboardists and the other guitarist (behind the filing cabinets?) they are the only ones holding it together. Wonderful. Whatever was Townshend on? Apart from alcohol.

  49. StewGreen says:

FFS Radio2 the DJ just played a tape from Saturday of Jo Brand chatting with @ClaudiaWinkle about her Leicester Comedy Festival show

The promoter’s tweet says “The lovely Jo Brand “

  50. Dover Sentry says:

    It’s a new Brexit Year.

    Let’s hear it for:

(Sorry Fed. Just had to do it!).

    • Fedup2 says:

Oh Dover – how could you ? ( it still brings a smile ).

      I’ve always wanted to say this to anyone ;

“ do you remember when we were in the EU?”
