“all members of the committee… feel we have no choice but to resign”
It is with deep regret that, following @EquityUK’s statement this morning, all members of Equity’s recently renamed Race Equality Committee (formerly the Equity Minority Ethnic Members Committee) feel we have no choice but to resign as committee members.

How do we know we’ve not already had the virus in the population?
Most in my workplace had a horrible cough, fever and other symptoms around Christmas time. All have recovered fully, but some, myself included have been left with an occasional dry, raspy cough.
We share offices with a number of regular overseas travellers, many of which visit northern Italy (Milano region) on a weekly basis as part of their day jobs.
Given the inability of the Italian authorities to control & monitor the throughput of people through their major hubs (especially fashion workers from China) the porosity of borders and the initial reluctance of the Chinese to admit the problem, who’s to say it actually has already been experienced in this country?
I understand the testing today is only providing a positive/negative response, so are there any labs looking into immunity/persons with anti-bodies that would indicate previous exposure?
Perhaps Anti-Beeb could help with this one, rather than bash Boris and Donald over their measured responses.
NHS website : Why has the advice on self-isolation changed from 14 days to 7 days?
The 14 day period is for those who have had exposure to a confirmed case but have not shown symptoms. The 14 days represents the potential incubation period (the time it takes for symptoms to show if you have been infected).
Most people will no longer be likely to transmit the virus 7 days after the onset of symptoms. You do not need to call NHS111 to go into self-isolation.
If your symptoms persist past 7 days you should contact NHS 111 online at 111.nhs.uk.
If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111.

Further to my post earlier, below is enclosed the lump of Primordial Slime that the BBC deem fit to comment on the Corona virus

Dafydd,
It is dirty. Lets not kid ourselves.
Parts of Luton, Bradford, Leicester and SW London resemble the proverbial third-world s**** holes that President Trump so eloquently described.
There is a common theme prevalent in these areas, its not one you’ll hear about on the Anti-Beeb however.

Never heard of them. Are they a Quango?
Cant think I for one will lose any sleep over their en-masse resignation.

Equity is the actors union, of course.
So it is a big deal.

Not for me, Stew.
Actors. No big deal at all – if they have or haven’t resigned. They have no influence or responsibility over me or mine.
From what I’ve seen/heard Mr Fox spoke some home truths and for me that is all that matters.
