This is a story beyond trivial even in its country of origin, picked up by the BBC to promote its race-baiting agenda.
But why is there no comment about the tweet that the sister of the ‘avid’ birder posted: “Oh, when Karens take a walk with their dogs off leash…”
Karen is a colloquial term that is used to typify a person perceived to be entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is considered appropriate or necessary. One of the most common Karen stereotypes is that of a white middle-aged woman, typically American, who displays aggressive behavior when she is obstructed from getting her way; such women are often depicted as demanding to “speak to the manager” and sometimes have a variation of the bob cut.
But then only white people are racists, aren’t they BBC?
Just watching the lunchtime news. The Beeb have been busy.
They have underground reporters exposing barbers who have been willing to give haircuts during the lockdown. They’re clearly outraged at this lawless infringement. Do you know some of these scoundrels were cutting hair without wearing the appropriate protective clothing. OMG! I’m sitting there thinking WTF?
Out in the windy channel it’s been left to Nigel Farage to expose the utter hypocrisy of the French and the Home Office position on illegal immigration. The French have been escorting these vessels across the channel and we’ve been picking them up! This isn’t a border control in any meaningful sense. It’s a bloody taxi service.
Where are the BBC? Where’s the outrage? Where is Panorama when it’s needed?
But don’t worry. Britain’s finest journalists are on the job…
And a couple of barbers are getting it in the neck.
Roland
Thank you reposting this – very human – piece . If I could put it in the blank space at the front of this thread I would .
Although I view the MSM as scum – or vermin – or other bad words – I get the sense that maybe a couple of those droids in the Number 10 garden might of got a scent that what there were doing was not’ good‘ and that they had been put into a 65 minute format akin to Stalinist denounciation .
I’m on the’ better ‘ side of 50 . I never thought I’d ever not be in a position where I would avoid the MSM – particularly the state broadcaster . Or that the polarisation of views in Britain has become so —- universal – and that entrenched views are so deep – with those claiming the higher moral ground – the Liberal – are so dismissive and often hateful of a contrary view.
We on this site don’t hear from them . They do not enter into debate here . They do not produce evidence to counter the view of BBC bias – the nearest we get to that is cut and paste trolling .
I’m a great believer in ‘diversity of thought ‘ .But as far as the 2020 MSM is concerned – there is none .
Astonishingly, the bBBC is reporting that death rates for under 45s are within the boundary of the 5 year average. For children death rates are actually slightly lower than average !!!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52807376
A good story but typically the BBC are incapable of joining the dots and using the data to show up the teacher unions opposition to re-opening schools for the political anti-government stance it always was.
Unless of course the teacher unions are so concerned with child safety that the lower than average death rates during lockdown mean that no child should ever go to school again. For safety reasons, you understand, as lockdown is safer than normal life.
This may not be a comment relating to matters of huge national interest but it is often instructive to keep an eye on what’s happening closer to home.
My local messaging group, set up in the immediate wake of lockdown, went through an initial stage of chatter about closely virus-related topics. What shops had loo roll, available supermarket delivery slots, who was running up homemade masks, etc…
As pretty soon we realised we wouldn’t all starve, the virtue signallers popped up. If anyone can’t get to the supermarket, I have some spare food. And people took their social distancing really really seriously. That bottle of milk I picked up at the shop for you at number 72 – I’ve disinfected it and I’ll leave it on your door step. How dare that window cleaner come round, trying to make a living! Anyone get my Amazon delivery by mistake? I’m collecting for the foodbank. Oh, cool, I’ll order some extra items and drop them off. All be sure to clap for the NHS. There were even a couple of anti-Trump, anti-Boris and anti-Farage memes shared. I’m based in the capital’s suburbs and seem to live nearby some teachers – enough said.
Then there was the pretentious lifestyle messaging. Hey, look at me, I’m baking my own bread. Where can I buy hummus? Does anyone have a vanilla pod they could spare?
Days turned into weeks… Seemingly only punctuated by Thursdays. Which got a bit repetitive. Oh, sorry I missed the 8 o’clock clap, I was bathing the kids, washing my hair – which is getting really long, alphabetising the spice rack… sorry will deffo catch it next time.
Can you guess what subject the majority of the traffic on this neighbourly message service concerns now?
Well, the answer tends to tell me we are returning to near normal. Or have settled into a rut.
Does anyone have a bicycle pump I could borrow, curling tongs, mine just broke, have you finished with my garden shears you borrowed yet, I need them now?
Fedup2
I have an increasing collection of those threatograms …..considering using them to repaper the downstairs toilet….tricky really as I have an immense desire to flush them away !
their latest line with me is sending me letters saying ive used IPLAYER, which comes as a suprise to me, third letter arrived today saying my no license needed status is being cancelled
Breakfast, R3 (Petroc Trelawney) has ceased the 6.30 and 7 am “News” bulletins. Whatever the reason let us clap for it on Wednesdays and hope that the rest of Beeb radio will follow suit.
That is what I thought – so much energy into reporting one boy who got in with the wrong crowd… call it grooming if you want but not same as the young girls in Rotherham etc..
The BBC and Media have no moral compass
Yet another ‘report’ by un named individuals without senes or insight, who believe resources are infinite and always on hand, they need the amount of tax they pay doubling in order to concentrate their ridiculous perspective.
Unreported by the BBC yet mentioned in the Guardian is the fact the boys father is also a drug criminal who was one of the few actually deported back to Jamaica.
The real failure is that of the cowardly useless incompetent Tories with the open door immigration policies who failed to deport the entire family unit putting the rest of us in danger.
Oh and of course them letting in hoardes of dangerous murderous migrants who think nothing of ending someone elsees life.
But why is it that even the Guardian can talk about the boys deported drug dealing father, but the BBC can’t?
Taffman – I tease sometimes but I think the treatment of DC was the trigger point …. the alter ego – Piku – will surface at some time fairly soon to throw lightning strikes down on those of lower morals …. and then follow the maxi m.o. of running away for 10 – 14 days .
Taffman – Piku is daytime – Maxi is night time . They perform a function by focusing a response but not much else – certainly never directly about non – bias of the BBC .
Ah, one must be ‘handing over’ from one shift to the other.
Twelve on twelve off. I may be wrong, I do believe that Al Beeb have duty officers working that shift pattern ? I have only encountered Piku two or three times ?
Oh Scrob – the day I go out to clap for anyone or anything is the day I book a single flight out of the UK .. maybe Cambodia – they’ve got a track record on clapping there ….
yep – like my wife said this morning when I said I was going out tonight to clap for Dom and Brexit – after she politely kicked me in the balls – we are not like them we don’t have to parade our views and virtue
My post was metsastoffdg, metsgatrotificaldrf just to get everyone back to agreeing that Dom is the sort of guy who will PROBABLY see off the awful bbc…
Great Guy in my view, two fingers at the loonies on the left, the bbbbbc, and all the soft-option crazy commies out there!
“Turner Prize 2020 axed and replaced by £100k fund for struggling artists” https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-52806844
Just as well really. Call me a “philistine”, but there appears to be a lot of rubbish on display ? Turner must be rolling in his grave.
“Coronavirus: Shoppers ‘may be reluctant’ to return” https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52804512
Operative word “may”.
This is not news its an opinion. But who’s opinion ? There is HYS , do your worst . CCBGB
I went into the school playground and listened in on the school-bully gangs
As I dipped in to each gang they were all stirring
within seconds they using the word Cummings & using insinuations to misrepresent him
Started at 615am on Radio4, then on local radio channels continuously all day.
Then in the Vine slot the R2 Gang of Feltz and Dr Sarah were stirring by choosing to air spurious questions
.. #1 You wouldn’t get into a car to test your eyes would you ?
#2 Can I drive my sick son from Kent to Swansea, hint hint ?
I tweeted and msged my MP to say I don’t approve of MP’s who give in to lynch mobs.
Funny how the bland ‘I didn’t mean to cause any offence ‘ phrase is all they need to say…and all is forgotten
I would ask if she regrets what she said and intends to resign .. whilst sneering down my nose as taught at BBC acting school
I’m finding it sickening that all these lefties are going flat out trying to ruin a mans life.
I wonder what they would have done in his position, their child or I’m alright jack, stuff the child.
I would have done what DC did without a moments hesitation, any decent human would.
I’m embarrassed by this parade of miserable egotists and the lefty behaviour in general.
They would be far more at home in North Korea or China.
What a disgusting gang they are.

EU ‘READY TO EASE FISHERIES DEMANDS’
[States the Guido headline, correctly.]
“there have been hints of a possible reconciliation of approaches… We would be looking to shift on
demands to keep everything as is now”.
[
States the EU (according to Reuters via Guido).
So the EU is pretending that both sides are making concessions.
Good, if correct.
Because the UK should not only not be making concessions it should be imposing sanctions on the f***ing frogs
for exporting their unwanted visitor problems (memo to RN, target practise required).
Time to close the channel and escort vessels whose use thereof is approved by us.
Especially frog ships.
BBC reports. I cannot find any.
Which is common, Guido on a shoestring, frequently has news before the £5 billion BBC “star” “reporters”.

Government Briefing
A contract for a lot of PPE has been signed – wait for it to turn up on EBay . Let’s hope they don’t put a ‘sell by one it because they can keep it for the next Chinese virus .
The Health Secretary also said that there is now a cure for the virus but no one gave a damn about that because all the press want is a head .( I may be exaggerating)
A number of venues have been hired for ‘Cummings out parties ‘ where the MSM will dance around the scalp(s) and wave their EU flags about .
Dismal news for the press that no deaths were reported in Northern Ireland – no one gave a damn about that either.
Talking of not caring – I saw a piece about a hospital in Weston Super Mare being overwhelmed by covid cases – but seems to have disappeared whilst the MSM were concentrating on the bubble story .
No follow up questions in the Briefing today – there’ll be a call for an inquiry /resignation … whatever ….
Wasn’t Mr Hancock wonderful? Mr Peston was asking a stupid question about Mr Cummings and Mr Hancock shut him up and wouldn’t allow him a second question. Marvellous.
Yes, I liked that one too Deborah ????
Off screen Peston was probably slumping in his chair again like a spoilt child not getting their own way ????
And as for Keunnsberg! Christ, she should have to live with herself for a day ????
Deborah – being a racist – I noticed that all the journos asking questions to day were white – it was the same with the rose garden inquisition yesterday .
Some might say the media is institutionally racist in not having coloured journos asking important questions …..it’s a two way street isn’t it ?
I missed Beff today – maybe she still needs to sober up.
Peston had a piece in today’s Spectator. The comments below the line were unanimously damning. I’ve just added a link to those comments – thank you GW.
I hadn’t come across Beff until last night. She was the ghastliest of a job lot of the most horrible people one might ever come upon. No wonder Mr Cummings came over as sweet reasonableness.
I simply don’t understand the scream today. This constant cry that the public is ‘angry’ because Mr Cummings took his wife and child away from a home where they no longer felt safe from the Press and the Left. Having seen the pack outside his house and those monstrous regiment of women and pseudo women in the rose garden I can quite understand why he felt he had to get away. And bearing in mind his mum had just lost her brother I can understand why didn’t want to inflict the Press on her.
I agree Deborah, just watched Hancock’s 10 second reply to Peston today. Loved it, very Trumpesque. I’d love to see more of that attitude when answering the bullying media.
I think these briefings are going to get shorter until the predicted second wave .
Being a self taught armchair professor of Virology at the university of Fedup – I predict any second wave will be small – because – in case anyone hasn’t noticed – much of the UK is being fried every day and it has barely rained in big population centres .
I don’t think the Chinese virus likes the weather of the British isles – just keep it out of Care Homes and the R will drop to .5 R and below –
There are problem areas – such as London Public Transport and the Tube Petri dish which the mayor won’t deal with -as well as unregulated entry by aircraft – but I reckon the rest of the country will get better.
But Mare Khan’t (never could spell) is the driver of a son bus, so won’t actually understand the problem when being driven around in an armoured Range Rover, with big fat ugly bodyguards hanging around to keep an eye on his movements (isn’t that the job of a proctologist)…
There are Dark Forces at work in this country prepared to see Brexit stopped by ‘hook or by crook’ even if it means bringing this Great nation to its knees. lets hope that our intelligence services are working in the interest of Great Britain and its democratically elected leader. The end of June is beckoning .
Al Beeb beware, for I think your end is nigh?
Ok so this is the one I obviously meant was the best clip!!! How to get a ten point comms plan into a clip short enough for twitter https://t.co/gyLEokjT10
— ALASTAIR CAMPBELL (@campbellclaret) May 26, 2020
Seeing anything about that faded tosser makes me laugh, Theleft!
The sad failing BBC only wheel him out to spit bile at their taxpayers, and as nobody buys the guardian, they have to make up the difference!
What a shower of losers they all are – really, a complete laughing stock, and not worth a pinch of pig-shit, but that’s what happens when they believe they’re invincible I suppose…
Nobody I know thinks they’re believable at all now, silly really!
I don’t buy this thing that the msm are pushing where they have people on saying that because DC didn’t stick to the law/rules (even though he did) then everybody else will disregard everything and ignore all the rules the government has put in place.
It follows that if any mp is caught doing 100mph then everybody else can do that.
Any mp caught cheating on their spouse means everybody else can cheat on theirs.
In short, because the lefties are saying DC going to durham (to make sure his child would be looked after) was wrong (the crime of the century) then law and order will break down. The end of civilisation.
And, have you noticed, all lefties look so miserable with very angry faces all the time. You would think that all this liberal stuff they keep virtue signalling to everyone might be because they are such nice people but in truth they’re a nasty lot.
Woke, Liberal labels now have the opposite meaning just like the rop and enrichers.
Manny, so true and typical of the type. Even socially amongst their own where they feel relatively relaxed, the rictus like grin they present to all, especially potential converts can do little to distract from judgemental, dead eyes. Windows to the soul and all that.
Because of lock-down it has been quite some time since I have seen any BBC TV but I recall some ‘advert’ that they were running about an ‘App’ that they were pushing, something about not spreading nasty stories about people and bullying and the like.
Did it never work or don’t BBC staff actually use it?
(I’m thinking DC and the NYC dog-walker needlessly given a BBC kicking).
Al beeb are complete hypocrites JimS and I’ve said so over the last few days!
They promote anti-bullying campaigns in schools, in the workplace etc, and then go and behave like they have done over the last few days ????
On a similar note, does anyone know when this boo for Boris boll*x is scheduled for ????
Well I know that opinion polls don’t mean anything but a new Survation poll is up and still has the Tories miles ahead with only a 2 point swing to Labour. This hints that had there been a GE today the Tories would actually gain a couple of extra seats.
The way I am seeing it is this. There is the real world with real people in it and then there is the left wing media and their bizarre fantasies. Quite clearly the public are not buying this lefty spin anymore and I think that the BBC, Guardian and Mirror have scored an own goal
I hope you’re right smoogie because I’m a pretty normal, rational fella but this hysteria that is being whipped up is just ridiculous ????
As I’ve said before, it is all about stopping Brexit! ????????
Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to give their head a wobble ????
9pmBBC2 Racebating show from Bristol
Lots of promos in the wokeMedia Tonight’s first episode looks at the origins of the house chosen, on Guinea Street in Redcliffe.
The man who built it in 1718 was a prolific slave trader, so slavery features strongly. #AHouseThroughTime
@DavidOlusoga investigates the residents of an 18th-century house in Bristol, uncovering stories of piracy, an abandoned baby, a notorious political writer and a runaway slave.
BTW the Barbary white-slave trading post was also near Bristol
The Barbary pirates also had a staging post in the Bristol Channel in the UK for capturing English, Icelandic, villagers and US merchant boats. They held the island until the formation of a proper full time British Navy https://t.co/F7gcPlA6KX
Funny isn’t it, the media baying for the head of Dominic Cummings, yet hardly anything mentioned about the Head of the Irish parliament Gay boy Leo Varadkar who was seen in a park with his boyfriend and other men, with hands all over each other and in clear breach of Irish lockdown rules.
I don’t recall any story past the original one and certainly none asking for a resignation.
I believe it was yesterday morning on BBC Radio 4 Today programme. A ‘doctor’, mother of three, she and husband both apparently, ‘had Coronavirus symptoms’ at round about the same time as Mr Cummings IIRC, but didn’t, according to her, try to relocate. Ably abetted by the beeboid, she whined on about self-isolating for the sake of the country, and how bad Dominic Cummings was.
Beeboid newsreader eventually asked her a sensible question -‘So, if both of you had really suffered severe illness – what would you have done ?’
Oh, she says, ‘in that case, I had already arranged for a relative to drive the 2-hour journey to our home, to take the kids off our hands…..’
Face-palm for the Beeboid ? Not a bit of it… just finalised the interview with no simple query as to whether she honestly was basically going to do the same as Dominic Cummings, but in reverse…. and had just sat there panning him for his behaviour….. medics, eh, just got to clap for them and accept that everything they do is saintly ?
Oops I should shurely have checked the BBC first. Of course they have a story defending their leftie Gay icon in complete contrast to how they treat the tories:
DawsonExplodes
One of the reasons Cummings gave is that he has to keep secrecy cos their are a lot of anti-Tory lunatics who pose a REAL THREAT of violence.
One of the first people to snap over all this is an occasional Guardian/Mirror writer Any Dawson who tweeted a direct vile threat to Michael Gove via his wife Sarah Sands
(He han’ts written a column for year +)
He then deleted his account
and put up a video playing the victim (he really isn’t)
and repeated the threat
After posting vile harassment on Twitter to Michael Gove's wife @profanityswan complains of getting vile harassment on Twitter.
That's some pot calling the kettle black. @Twitter will have some nerve if they let Andy Dawson back on the platform after this. We will be watching. pic.twitter.com/9b6Nx5nwl2
I saw this characters ‘ tweet and reported it . Anyone using that language and those views on a public forum shouldn’t be there – I found out later that he has written for the Mirror and Guardian . The latest effort may need a plod investigation under the malicious communications act or similar ….
OK #ScumMedia was trending yesterday
there must be some Twitter blocking going on, with that
cos people have switched to using #Mediascum and it is trending
Don’t these conservative mps who say they are getting lots of angry letters from constituents not realise that momentum/labour are getting their rabid remainers to send their mp letters hoping to get rid of DC and then Boris so that they can delay or even reverse Brexit.
It would be simple for the local Labour Party to instruct their members to write to their local mp.
I expect the ‘conservative’ mps who are turning against DC are mainly remainers anyway.
Hold a by election in each constituency and put a proper conservative candidate in instead of these fakes.
#RelentlessAgendaPushing
I hit the Radio3 button and the Indian lady is handing over to the irish guy who goes into an item about the *queer spaces* that haven’t been saved
Interesting to see how the University of Cambridge spends its money
Surely – even his staff family and supporters must realise he cannot think and speak at the same time .
Imagine him trying to deal with a serious fast time issue – whatever the politics .
I wonder if he got any positive news coverage from this sad appearance ?
Fedup – he probably did….or, at the very least, the US MSM simply ignored it – they have too much energy to spend on continually battering away at Donald Trump, that they can’t spare any to consider this car crash – sorry, rail wreck.
Jeez – can you imagine this guy attending any international gathering and actrually opening his mouth ? As opposed to bending over, spreading his cheeks and waiting to get shafted ?
He sat there, dumbfounded and astounded that he should be asked even the simplest and fluffiest questions, and thought that he was among good friends, and that they wouldn’t ask him anything that involved thinking before opening his mouth and dribbling out any unco-ordinated words that popped into his debilitated mind.
2nd question – Joe Biden in a live debate with Donald trump ? Is he going for the ‘pity’ vote, given that he will be trashed six ways from Sunday in the first five minutes of any debate ? He’ll be an Intensive Care Unit candidate after 10 minutes. What the hell has the Democrat Party in the US been thinking ? (…… and long may they continue to do so.) Yet so many in the US can’t see past (sorry, ‘through’) this guy, and think he’s just what the US needs.
Pay very close attention to his pick for vice-president, ‘cos that’s who will be running the US if Biden wins the Preesidential election. He’ll ‘retire’ through ill health after the first week or two.
Richard – I heard about the ‘Hillary ‘ theory – that she would be the running mate with Biden stepping down for ‘health reasons ‘ in the first months after election .
On the very brief extracts of Mr Biden – he does exhibit some of those horrible symptoms of early dementia – which stress and tiredness will only make worse.
Maybe if his handlers conceal his behaviour from the General Public he might get to the swearing in stage – but would be be able to ?
Shades of the GLC in 1981, when “Red Ken” took over from Andrew McIntosh after a coup.
From Wiki: “… When Labour won control of the GLC in 1981, McIntosh was leader of the Labour group. A centrist, McIntosh narrowly beat left-winger Ken Livingstone for the leadership. However, the day after Labour won a small majority, he was ousted and Livingstone voted leader of the Labour Group and of the GLC in his place by 30 to 20.”
I’ve also heard of the Hillary theory, but then she ain’t so fit. Who will step in after Hillary? And my candidate is Mike Obama, the bloke who is married to a former President.
GWF
I put 50p of Ophra at about 500/1 … usually the Democrats come up with one of those Kennedy clones but they do seem to have trouble stayin’ alive …. stayin’ alive …..stay stay stay stayin alive ….
The problem the Democrats have, Fedup, is that they don’t really have any proficient candidate. If you look back over the primaries to elect their ‘chosen one’, there are a field of real no-hopers and also-rans. There have been a number of people even out of the horde of initial candidates – remember, there were once more than 20 (even close to 30) candidates, with the second-last person standing the virtual communist, Bernie Sanders. Each fell by the wayside as time went on, because they were also no-hopers for some reason or other.
Hillary Clinton definitely has been mentioned – but she has too much baggage, not enough supporters USA-wide, and is a walking basket case as well. Michelle Obama has absolutely no credibility as a leader, and the most recent ‘hopeful’ was Andrew Cuomo, mayor of New York City, who, for instance, ordered so many COVID-affected older people back into care homes from hospitals…… he virtually single-handedly literally caused a huge chunk of the death toll in his city. So he’s not such the hope he might have been only a couple of weeks ago.
Mr Trump has played the canniest game he can, given the MSM love-fest with the Democrat Party, and their hate-fest with him – each time any Democratic candidate has even popped their head over the parapet, he’s flattened them – and he doesn’t have to tell lies (as the MSM does about him) – they’ve pretty much all contributed fatally to their own downfalls.
However – the Democrat voters are so incensed that someone took on and beat their sainted candidate in 2016, that they would almost literally vote for a jack-ass (their party symbol) if it were put forward as a candidate – so they are not yet beaten, by any means.
GW
This is the Communist candidate?
Good.
Saint Donald J Trump for President.
Who is the alternative Communist candidate?
Bernie (who is older than Biden and Saint Donald) whose support collapsed?
Hillary (please, please, please)?
The admittedly corrupt Pocahontas Warren?
Obama’s husband?
TONIGHT: As anger and discontent continues to grow over Dominic Cummings' lockdown actions, we ask what the blind loyalty towards the unelected advisor tells us about the workings of government.#Newsnight's @nicholaswatt and @Lewis_goodall have the latest at 22:45 pic.twitter.com/tneZf9zGpL
The media is full of stories tonight about cabinet ministers not supporting Boris and Tory MPs wanting Cummings out. True? Frankly, I have no idea. Nothing we hear from them can be trusted, absolutely nothing. That much is clear.
I think the stakes have become huge. It’s about who runs the country, the media or the elected government. Boris appears to be expending huge capital on retaining Cummings. What the media won’t tell you is that they are expending huge capital on getting rid of him. We have a fight to the death.
Unless Tory MPs are really stupid, they surely must see that to give in to the media, regardless of their personal opinion, is the end of this government’s authority. Opinion polls are irrelevant right now – there isn’t another election for over four years, and there’s a recession between now and then. By that time no one will remember Dominic Cummings, they’ll remember the lockdown that took their job.
The media is still very powerful. They have launched an all-out assault, and undoubtedly swayed many minds. That cannot be denied. But at enormous cost. #ScumMedia or other variants have been trending for the last day. Huge numbers have seen how they behave and do not like what they see. This will accelerate the long term drop in newspaper sales and attractiveness to advertisers. It will hit them in the pocket. Hard. And they cannot sit tight for four years.
It is a case of whose nerve cracks first. The government holds the advantage, if Tory MPs have but the wit to see it.
But why pick such a high stake fight now? There can be only one answer. Brexit. The end of June deadlines are looming and this is seen as a last ditch attempt to derail it. There are many vested interests at stake. It is, to me, the only thing that could justify throwing so much at it.
One vantage the Tories have is four years and a huge majority. No one would call a vote of VC in them. It just won’t work. Corbyn tried it once and as usual got humiliated. Starmer could be tempted but he knows it would fail so he wont risk his shiny image by giving Labour yet another kicking.
I think the Tories who are speaking out are a small number out of a huge number of MPs who are in support of Cummings or at least indifferent. A few might have been spooked by the backlash so assume that it would be safe to be on the ‘he must go’ camp but minds should change quickly when they realise that they are part of a small camp. The Tories went through a much darker patch last year when their support dropped as low as 17% in one opinion poll during May’s final weeks.
Back then another vote of NC could have lead to a GE which would have finished them and installed Corbyn as PM. I think the only reason why Corbyn did not bother as Labour were also losing support fast and so they also felt spooked that they could not get one over the Tories. Johnson was the one who turned that support round leading to the infamous victory and they can also thank Cummings for that. Why give that up now? That is what the BBC want and what the left want so sacking Cummings is playing into their game. They must not be allowed to win.
First I felt frustrated with the BBC – as much about the lack of anything I wanted to watch, as the constant bias, virtue signalling, and ‘right think’.
Then I felt irritated.
Then I felt angry and cheated.
Now, I realise, for quite some time I’ve just been totally bored with the BBC, stopped paying my TV licence years ago, best move I ever made, and now I can’t even be bothered to read the webshite for news any more “would you go on a date without any make up?” – is that news?! Honestly, who gives a flying feck?!
I don’t care what happens to the BBC, honestly I don’t, so long as:
a. I don’t have to pay for it.
b. I don’t have to watch, listen, or read anything it produces EVER AGAIN.
I think we should care
cos they drive UK politics
– They are the reason why YOUR MONEY is wasted on Green Fantasies and climate doom
while the teachers brainwash your kids
– They are the reason why Grenfell and Calais migrants get all the sympathy and money
..whilst grooming/raping gangs are covered up
(sorry I sound preachy
.. I mean you are free to have your own thoughts)
The trouble is that whilst you may be happy not to care what happens to the BBC, it is still busy undermining the government, which will affect you regardless of disinterest.
Big Brother – i share thr dilemma you describe -having withdrawn my funding of the BBC and use of its services – i still want to have some knowledge of what is going on in thr world .
The online MSM fails to do this so i turn the the likes of Reuters – which is free – as well as general twitter sources
But the itch about the BBC remains . It is my enemy . And there is the old adage about “ know your enemy “ .
So i m thinking of returning to the BBC and preparing an evidenced based submission to the next ‘ review ‘ – when it comes . Its the best i can do
As for the current hysteria – it cant go on much longer – more and more people will just start saying “ are these journos mad “?
Talking of ‘mad’ the footage of a middle aged male sky reported outside number 10 as the Health Sec turns up on Tuesday is being re tweeted to show how the bubble has lost it ….
On a different more important subject – has anyone seen swallows or swifts yet as they are late for NE London ?
4 weeks ago in my area around Cambs / Beds although, oddly, no Prime ministerial advisors in the bushes
there may have been some homosexual Irish prime ministers cavorting naked together but could not be quite sure, and some a shadow labour minister and son of ex leader or two with a happy birthday hat and party tooter as well..
but no one was interested in those, just the first Cumming of spring seen in the countryside
I haven’t seen any and I’m in sunny Surrey. A friend of mine remarked the other day that she hadn’t seen any house martins.
Even the birds are keeping away…
I’m blaming the bloody lockdown!!

Swifts in SW London on 5th May this year. They arrived on the 11th last year. Fewer now though these days.
No house martins or swallows here but doubtless a consequence of local urban density and no convenient access to rivulets or streams.
BBC Radio Ulster’s Nuala McKeever was caught on hot mic yesterday shortly before Dominic Cummings’ press conference describing the senior Number 10 aide as “such a dick”. During yesterday’s 3pm news bulletin, McKeever’s microphone repeatedly cut across
In my field (engineering) I’ve worked with lots of men (it’s always men) like Dominic Cummings – intellectually gifted, problem solvers, yes, but also annoying, rude, and at times frustratingly stupid.
There is a place in the world for such people, a need for them in fact, but you learn you can’t expect them to follow the usual social rules. You learn to put up with their idiosyncrisies, pity their long-suffering wives, and value their good qualities, because they’re almost always extremely good at their jobs, and they don’t mean to harm anyone.
There is a term for it, ‘higher functioning autism’. It’s sad really, because such men miss out on a lot the rest of us take for granted, and they often realise they’re missing something, but can’t quite put a finger on it, all they know is that they annoy people without meaning to.
What the press are doing at the moment is like kicking a disabled kid, repeatedly, just because they ‘look a bit weird and don’t talk like us’. It’s strange isn’t it, but the ‘do gooder’, ‘virtue signalling’, lefties are the most sadistic bullies of them all, especially when they see a chance to pile on like the last couple of days.
It goes to show that the left are really pathetic. They claim to hate racism but attack non whites for voting Tory. They hate sexism but list the only two female PMs as some of the people that they hate the most and they hate dictatorships but vouch for one that fits their viewpoint.
The left are getting dangerous and it is a great fortune for us all that they are not as big as they think they are
There’s still good content on the radio.
For example on 4 this week they’ve had exciting repeats of The Archers and last years live cricket matches.
Plus some self loathing Blitz program- how Londoners, apparently, used to rush to newly bombed sites for looting.
Clear to many now that the BBC is undermining the nation. This deranged pursuit of Cummings id tipping them over the edge. In fact the whole liberal media is behaving like the fools they are. This could turn risky for them. Undermining our country by implication is a dangerous game. We might be slow on the uptake not the quick razor sharp intellects of the BBC and the Guardian but we do know when there are enemies about .
They politicised this from day one never giving the government a decent break and attempting to paint Boris in particular as some form of unfeeling monster.
Yes mistakes have been made but given the situation who is surprised. The government did not know what it was facing. This is a very heavily populated land and vulnerable in the extreme.
The Chinese were less than honest and when the timelines become established this will be proven fact.
I repeat the BBC is intent on undermining morale and the safety of my family and country. The progressive media underestimate the people of the shires. They would be well advised to calm the situation down before it gets out of hand.
80 people “intercepted” crossing the channel again . What exactly is Priti doing ? She has the Royal Marines at her disposal who could easily deal with them. Is she deliberately dragging her feet because of some secret deal that the Tory government has done with the French? It would appear that 40 Tory MPs are more concerned with Cummings’ trip?
Readers of Al Beeb . The Border Farce are fond of using the word “Intercepted” . But they are deliberately misusing the word ? I would recommend they look up the definition of the word.
From our side of the ‘border’ we should use available weaponry (if any) to hole the invading vessels whilst they are still on the French side. The escorting French can then ‘intercept’ them. After all, it appears we have paid them enough.
We could utilise Frogmen.
Media language just gives away bias – ‘intercepted’ is used instead of ‘caught ‘ – which infers the truth – wrong-doing .
My favourite of the moment is the London Evening Standard which always reports that the number of deaths from the Chinese virus ‘jumps ‘ .
Yesterday it ‘jumped’ to 130 . If the downward trend continues will it be a ‘jump’ to 6? Or 10?
The use of words is an art in the media – it frames the narrative even before the lies and bias get going . As powerful , in my opinion, IMO , as bias by omission – such as the ‘car crash’ non answer Biden gave when asked a simple question about another lady he got ‘touchy feely ‘ with ….
Yet if President Trump had done the same the BBC would never stop replaying it …
GWF – see – you used the word ‘jumps’ – the press like that one because it engenders fear – which sells papers and gets people watching the ‘news’ broadcasts .
It’s a strange country where the increase in the number of deaths involving the Chinese virus is used as a political weapon to use against a government they hate .
The tragedy and grief of those deaths count for nothing – unless they can be used for minorities to play the ‘victim’ card the BBC MSM is addicted to .
The use of the word ‘intercept’ is very devious. The word itself conveys the impression that they were ‘stopped’, ‘prevented from carrying out their plan’….. actually, what happens is usually the very opposite of that.
I almost did not peruse the bbc Moaning Emole today, as it was headed ‘ PM to face questions as calls grow for Cummings to quit ’
There’s #tellitoftenenough and then there’s bbc derangement.
But I persisted, and was rewarded…
“The human cost of virus misinformation
The effects have spread all around the world. Online rumours led to mob attacks in India and mass poisonings in Iran. Telecommunications engineers have been threatened and attacked and phone masts have been set alight in the UK and other countries – all because of conspiracy theories. And in Arizona, a couple mistakenly thought a bottle of fish tank cleaner contained a preventative medicine.”

Marianna Spring
Specialist disinformation and social media reporter, BBC News
***
Spring has sprung, and I now find the hapless tvl sap is uniquely funding a ‘specialist’, no less, disinformation and social media reporter.
On that last, what exactly about the news was fake?
Like the UK and elsewhere where there is a strong Communist element in politics, the so called, “Left” (aka “Democrats” in the US) will push all the way for making Postal Votes a common feature of their electoral system. We all know where that goes. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52815552
It seems that the President of the US may be powerless to stop Communist Governors from making the US elections (and particularly the one later this year) misrepresent the voters by way of fraud via ‘Postal Votes’.
I suggest that, if legally possible, the POTUS declares himself to be President and he will remain – indefinitely in office – until he is sure there is free and fair elections.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are witnessing Communist inspired anarchy first hand in the US if widespread use of Postal Voting becomes a reality.
In the UK, the Communists rely upon the Electoral Commission to increasingly put their, ‘finger’ on the balance. It’s more ‘Gentlemanly’ that way. And if the intensity of civil servants is the same for the Electoral Commission i.e. full of foreigners, it is only a matter of time for the UK.
On Tuesday a Junior Scots Minister resigned his job ‘over DC’.
What i dont think was mentioned – as Katie Hopkins now has – is that this creature has a majority of only 500 and the SNP is after his seat big style .
Political reality and false moral stands – the bubble .
It stands to reason the smaller the majority the greater number of complaining letters from lefty constituents and the greater the personal fear. Has anyone checked the majorities of the other Tory detractor MPs?
It just goes to show how dim Tory MPs are. His Twitter feed is full of praise from SNP supporters who would never vote for him in a thousand years. And opprobrium from supporters who are going to vote for someone else next time.
*warning: Twitter is not real life* – but an interesting snapshot.

This is a story beyond trivial even in its country of origin, picked up by the BBC to promote its race-baiting agenda.
But why is there no comment about the tweet that the sister of the ‘avid’ birder posted: “Oh, when Karens take a walk with their dogs off leash…”

Tonight’s first episode looks at the origins of the house chosen, on Guinea Street in Redcliffe.

One of the reasons Cummings gave is that he has to keep secrecy cos their are a lot of anti-Tory lunatics who pose a REAL THREAT of violence.
One of the first people to snap over all this is an occasional Guardian/Mirror writer Any Dawson who tweeted a direct vile threat to Michael Gove via his wife Sarah Sands
(He han’ts written a column for year +)
He then deleted his account
and put up a video playing the victim (he really isn’t)
and repeated the threat

Don’t these conservative mps who say they are getting lots of angry letters from constituents not realise that momentum/labour are getting their rabid remainers to send their mp letters hoping to get rid of DC and then Boris so that they can delay or even reverse Brexit.
It would be simple for the local Labour Party to instruct their members to write to their local mp.
I expect the ‘conservative’ mps who are turning against DC are mainly remainers anyway.
Hold a by election in each constituency and put a proper conservative candidate in instead of these fakes.

Just wait until the total of deaths jumps to 40,000 and hear the champagne corks popping at the BBC.

Sooner or later they’ll pay a price .

The use of the word ‘intercept’ is very devious. The word itself conveys the impression that they were ‘stopped’, ‘prevented from carrying out their plan’….. actually, what happens is usually the very opposite of that.

US Democracy? That thin veneer on an illusion.
