Back in 2018, beyond manifesto and founder statements, I checked out XR training videos.

Seems most pols and media have yet to manage this.

And I’m here to say that XR isn’t about the climate. You see, the climate’s breakdown is a symptom of a toxic system of that has infected the ways we relate to each other as humans and to all life. This was exacerbated when European ‘civilisation’ was spread around the globe through cruelty and violence (especially) over the last 600 years of colonialism, although the roots of the infections go much further back.

That’s the French teacher woman who started a BBC petition
A petition which was then banned by 38 degrees in March

38 Degrees filled the page with BS like
“The government plans to curtail BBC funding would mean the majority of BBC radio stations and TV channels are scrapped, along with the license fee.
It’s a thinly veiled attempt to dodge scrutiny and accountability.”

.. The actual gov has no plans to curtail BBC funds , it can’t
The BBC collects the licence fee not the gov.

    List of intimidation policing/arrests
The court system is the proper way of trying and punishing people.
But there is another way of punishing people and that is by intimidating-policing

Wednesday night : Canada : Rebel News journalist David Menzies arrested for “trespass”
Real reason ..cos he kept showing up with a TV crew every time the Toronto (Lefty) Mayor was illegally doing hockey practice.
5 cop cars ..released with a $65 trespass ticket ..which Rebel vow to fight
(Rebel also faced civil repression : they were banned by the lefty press from being in the Alberta parliament lobby, but overturned this by getting direct access from the righty government
.. I think Ezra is banned from another lobby, Federal Parliament ?)

Wednesday lunchtime : Australia : Zoe Lee, Pregnant Mother Arrested in Front of her Children in Authoritarian Australian Covid Crackdown
Context : Heavy handed cos all she’d done was make a Facebook post in an attempt to organise a legal demonstration, a post she immediately offered to removed when police contacted her by marching into her flat
..There was no reason for police to drag her to the station only to release her on 5 months bail.

Saturday : Trafalgar Square : Piers Corbyn arrested by massive team of facemasked police and issued with £10,000 fine
He claims he had actually complied with Covid laws
and his protest was legal cos it is political
.. He suggested it was probably a POLITICAL order from Sadiq
Contexts : similar BLM and Muslim women’s Ashura Day protests nearby were unhindered
Likewise days after XR protest organisers were not served with £10K fines.

US : MIllie Weaver : Arrested on the Friday she was releasing a Surveillance Conspiracy video
Her, her husband and brother were punished by
#1 being held in the cells all weekend
    away from their young children
#2 The children were dragged to Family court on Monday morning for removal only for everything to be fixed in the afternoon, by the police bailing the parents.
And the prosecution likely to be dropped, cos of a number huge problems with it. It being an old, one afternoon family tussle about a $50 cellphone with no complainant.

    Brixton BLM paramilitary uniform demo
..organised unhindered even though Political Uniforms are specifically illegal. And malicious looking prosecutions had been previously made against BF.

Pall Mall : a man with no record. who turned himself in for peeing nearby a memorial, was instantly given 7 days in jail
    And pilloried in the press
Context #1 A black woman who actually tried to set fire to the Cenotaph Memorial flag did not turn herself in, was arrested and her name kept secret.
So far she has not been prosecuted, as if she was already in the court system for something else.
Context #2 in Bristol days earlier BLM activists who had gone equipped to cause criminal damage to the Colston statue were allowed to by police.
And then the courts let them off with a slap on the wrist and being able to stay anonymous.

Previously there were a whole series of intimidation policing events in 2019 against Purple skins .. whilst light policing was used against Green/Red skins.

    Funding Intimidation
In most cases people set up a GoFundMe to fund legal cost
Half the time GoFund me closed it down on a pretext
    eg Piers Corbyn

Other punishment was by means of depriving people of social media access that their opposing peers enjoyed unhindered.

Wheelchair bound man (paralyzed from waist down) arrested in his own home in England by police and taken to a police station, accused of a race hate crime.

The previous day he was in a pub talking among friends about comedies of the past. Steptoe and Sons was mentioned and he said the reason why Harry H. Corbett added the H to his name was because there already existed a famous Harry Corbett of Sooty & Sweep fame.

A man at a neighboring table overheard him say Sooty and for some reason thought he was referring to a black man across the street. He stood up and called him a racist spastic c*nt and left.

But he called the Police and the Police came and arrested the wheelchair bound man the next day on suspicion of a race hate crime:

In my case it was a gradual process throughout the late 70’s and 80’s when the BBC showed support for Britain’s enemies , IRA and Argentina , or at least gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then the miners strike , then the non stop anti Thatcher anti Reagan programmes. My anti BBC stance was cemented in place by their blatant support for Blair and his steady destruction of my country. Then their support for mass migration and the EU have pushed me even further in my loathing of the BBC which I regard as having done more damage to the country than any other institution.

Tim Davie is a Tory plant placed there in attempt to get the cowardly useless incompetents off the hook by reducing the boiling rage in the country against the BBC.

So he starts by over riding Lord Hall Halls decision over the proms, and he gives a speech, yet fine words butter no parsnips, and although its early days appears to be movement in the right direction, there is no guarantee he will produce real reform.

The real fear has to be that he succeeds in some small measure, Yellow Boris breathes a huge sigh of relief and then does absolutely nothing to change the horrible TV tax, and allows business as usual.

Having said that, the real issue lies not with the BBC, but another institution we all have to pay for (despite massive Saudi subsidy) our Universities which are the source of all these woke cretins, and havens of far left Fascism and Marxism, again left unchallenged by a succession of inept and cowardly governments.

Until that swamp is drained nothing much is going to change for the better.

They say the BBC has gone wrong whenever it’s making the news rather than reporting the news. Our national broadcaster sees their grubby initials find their way onto several newspaper front pages this morning.

The Telegraph has ‘BBC chief cracks down on Twitter warriors’ – you can read that headline two different ways – the Guardian (doubtless far more invested in the issue) is more precise ‘BBC boss to staff: keep your views off Twitter’ as usual the Star is bluntly forthright ‘Luvvies at BBC told to shut it’

The Star illustrates their headline with a pic of Gary Lineker – which is fitting since he has become a famous BBC virtue signaller and his forays into matters beyond his competence, of VAR and the offside rule, appear to have landed him with a new lodger. Good luck with that Gary.

The Daily Express likewise kicks Auntie when she’s down ‘BBC ‘wastes’ millions chasing licence fees’ – this notion that it is bad business getting heavy with nonpayers I would contend. Once you let one off then they’ll all notice they don’t have to pay. And we look forward to that day. More in hope than expectation.

Just like the way we look forward to the authorities finally admitting this Flu World Order is over. Fat chance. By the way Judith Woods in the Telegraph tells us ‘How fat became a four letter word’ I think the moderators hereabouts will let me get away with it.

Reluctantly we turn to the Flu-bonic Plague. The ‘i’ notes ‘UK testing strategy ‘flawed and dangerous’ – have you noticed how left-leaning people endlessly criticise publicly-funded initiatives as failing, insufficient and inefficient, yet endlessly call for more of the same?

The ‘i’ encapsulates the popular outlook on government and taxes with the headline ‘This is the budget that nobody wants’

There’s one – fantasy – successful British institution still standing as the Express plugs ‘007 Heaven. Bond is Back to save the world’

The Telegraph vaguely hints at its middle class, middle England, mild Tory constituency as Fraser Nelson writes ‘Sunak is simply warning Tories they can’t keep shaking the money tree’ and Diana Henry tells us about ‘My first Ocado M&S shop’

Where’s today’s female interest celebrity angst, you ask? In the Guardian of course ‘Suzanne Vega on her teenage obsessions’

There’s some somewhat limp luvvie male celebrity interest in the ‘i’: ‘This is a very challenging time for men to find their way. Sir Mark Rylance on gender…’

Not an exclusive since the Times has ‘Mark Rylance exclusive interview. Why I’m on team Depp’ Now there’s an odd couple to be in a bromance. I’ll wager the BBC’s Strictly team wish they could sign them up for a similar-, if not same-sex, dancing couple.

Sir Mark is chancing his arm allying with Mr Depp in the current gender wars and the ‘i’ likewise is poking the bear despite our beloved cold war warrior Mr Bond being no more than a fictional character: ‘UK leads pressure to punish Russia over Novichok’ – whereas China gets a free pass over Covid?

The Daily Telegraph is going woke these days.

Recently, there was an article in the sport section decrying the low number of black men in the Tour de France. Raycis!

In the next article, it praised the US sportsmen going on strike in support of black criminals and a communist front organisation. Apparently over 70% of basketball and American football players are black. Not raycis!

At least I get to choose whether I buy the Telegraph.

The Telegaph Sports writers are falling over themselves to show how Woke they are and how racist UK sport is. This time it is Yorkshire cricket that is being accused by an ex Pakistani player, who incidentally captained the Yorkshire 20/20 team. He gives no details of the racism he claims that he was subjected to over the years he was at the club but says that as a Muslim he felt excluded. Well he probably didn’t go drinking or ate pork scratching with his team mates after games. There were probably some principled team members who objected to the foul and barbaric way his meat was slaughtered and refused to eat halal food, I certainly would. If he couldn’t fit in with his team he couldn’t expect his team to fit in with him. I am sick to death of being told that this country is racist because we aren’t bending the knee to people who the majority of us never wanted here in the first place. If they don’t like living here then bugger off . As to the Telegraph being Woke will not increase its circulation quite the opposite.
I note with great admiration that the Australian cricket team will not be taking the knee at tonight’s game. For the first time in my life I might support Australia this evening.

Oh I forgot to add that the Telegraph allows no comment on this article. The Telegraph seldom allows comments on articles in which the author is displaying Wokism . I think that this shows the the editor knows full well that Telegraph readers don’t agree and doesn’t want to hear what they think. This is of course the usual burying the head in the sand of the liberal elite.

Looks like I’ll be the only one staying ‘on topic’ on this special Thread so here goes ….

I think the penny is beginning to drop in the top office at W1A. Economic water, unlike environmental water, always runs downhill. Sooner or later more people giving up TV and the TV tax will increase to the point that enforcement becomes uneconomic. Tim Davie, if he is a wise man, will ask for weekly data on the Licence Fee cancellations and the collection costs and numbers of new Licences successfully ‘extorted’ by TV Licensing a.k.a. Capita.

If he looks at the front pages of all the newspapers and not just the copies of the Guardian and FT that are delivered to his office every day, then he will get reminders. Reminders such as that displayed on today’s Daily Express. I’m sure the D-G in true BBC stylee will dismiss said rag as ‘alarmist’ and ‘right wing’ but the front page headline will imprint itself, come what may, on his brain. It will lurk uncomfortably on one shoulder or another, just when it is least welcome, and poke him in the head.

The previous D-G, Tony Hall, appeared to merely shut his eyes if such statistics should have been put before him. As a strategy, it worked ….
…. as far as filling Tony Hall’s bank account was concerned. The BBC’s bank account? “Oh, no matter. There is plenty more were that comes from. I’ll just ask the Government to give an extra increase in the Licence Fee.”

Unfortunately, there’s a new economic reality about to hit unless Davos next year comes up with a miraculous solution. The reality is a Conservative Government (with all the usual baggage they carry – we’ve seen it on view this week) and large scale unemployment. In the normal course of things, someone on Universal Credit gets money to pay their TV Licence Fee. It forms part of the benefit, including any inflationary aspect.

HMG in relatively good times – the strong recovery from 2007-2009 under the Coalition Government from 2010-on and the Conservative led Administration from 2015-on – was anxious to reduce the UK’s Benefits bill and persisted with the roll-out of UC against tremendous Socialist opposition from the media – especially the BBC – and various other groups.

There will be even greater pressure in the post Covid-19 future to keep spending under control in a well-organised (Bojo-free?) government, so I can see greater pressure on the UC bill and therefore on the TV Licence.

Then, in responsible households that are ‘JAMMED’ to use Ed Miliband’s and Theresa May’s memorable phrase (whatever happened to them?) – the JustAboutManagings – the budgeter for the household may look at itemised expenditure and see nigh on £200 disappearing from their income and ask “Is it worth it?” and “Do we really use it?” and “Are there alternatives?”

I might suggest some answers for those people: ‘No’ , ‘No’ and ‘Yes’.

    Tim Davie, please note.

Stew – I’ve come to accept that there are a number of types to site user

        The regular troll

        The occasional troll

The occasional poster who just comments and goes away
The occasional poster who just comments and reads replies
The regular poster who just posts and goes away
The regular poster who just posts and reads replies
        The reader who doesn’t post
The reader who doesn’t post but replies to the comments of others

No doubt other classifications are available .

Not everyone has the time to read all the comments and sometimes I watch or read stuff and think afterward it just wasted my time ‘ but that comes with territory on the internet .

I understand that, Stew, but the issue here is that we just don’t watch any TV, maybe important stuff like VJ Commemorations etc., so can’t really get involved!

I do look at the clips of other posters, including yours, but apart from listening to Radio 5 Dead, there’s not much I can add!

Senora O’Blene and I were fed up with the awful BBC long before I found this site, and I usually got a real perspective on proper stories from Guido, and earlier Iain Dale (remember him)!

When ‘The Archers’ became insufferable, woke rubbish, even the normally friendly and entertaining Senora O’Blene said enough was enough!

So, I suppose, most of my support for nearly everyone here, has to be second-hand…

Im the moderator who doesnt use the BBC any more . And if i accudentally catch the many woke trailers i feel as though i need to wash my hands

We have the freedom to use this site how we choose – within the informal rules of decency and subject –

I sometimes get a bit frustrated when ive put something up which is then repeated – and i know theyve not read what ive said .

But then again if they choose to use it as a place to vent or as a ‘ notice board ‘ thats for them – not me to decide . As long ad even the tiniest contribution adds to the end of the BBC thats a good thing

            Thanks, Fed!

Senora O’Blene and I were discussing the TV tax only yesterday. We feel that we would want to watch the final pageantry of saying goodbye to our loving Monarch, then gradually switch off everything and watch ‘Lovejoy’, and cancel our sub to the tax.

Back when business was being ruined by Blair and Brown, me and my partners were hounded from pillar to post by banks etc, and we dreaded the mail on a daily basis.

Any threatening letters we (rarely) get now still remind us of such awful times, and I vowed that I’d never put Senora O’Blene though all that again. Crapita’s ‘letters’ seem to fit that bill, and while I’m now safely retired, I just don’t want the anguish again…

This is probably a cop-out, but the crap business environment under Labour knocked us all for six, and hurt us all deeply.

If tory backbenchers are moaning about coming tax hikes then then public spending must be cut .

So what goes ? NHS is fireproof . Plod cant really be touched . But the bigget stuff like taking on pensions and freezing benefits has to come into the mix . Work til 70 ?

I want to see the £14 billion borrowed to pay for overseas aid gone as we get no benefit from it .

This isnt really the place for more on finance …… but taxing online purchases seems likely – and tax n just about anything which has been exempt up to now seems a ‘given ‘

I think the size of the Civil Service should be cut in half.
And Prime Minister Johnson should keep firing heads of departments until he get some who do as they are told.

And all other public service bodies, including local authorities should be subjected to a funding formula of: RPI minus X, such that for example if the RPI is measured at say 2%, and X is say 5%, then the annual funding would be (2-5)= -3%, every year for day the next 10 years. In that way, funding for the police, local council tax, the NHS, in fact all taxation would be reduced every year.

    9:50am interesting switch on bingo
I got “VoteLeave deleted” ..”EU Referendum was *increasingly controversial*
then *fortunately* “data on £350m promise was preserved.”

… Why those 3 words ?, why pick on VoteLeave as an example ?

It was book of the week Burning The Books
    today about deletion online data
Something the BBC does every minute itself

“…. captured 10,000 sites related to 2016 EU Referendum

In April 2019 the *VoteLeave campaign* deleted a great deal of content from their public website
including references to that campaign’s promise to spend £350m/week on the NHS
    if Britain left the EU
a promise that by 2019 had become *increasingly controversial*
*fortunately* the UK web archive had captured the website before that content before it was deleted

Hmm, #1There was no general promise to spend the £350m directly on the NHS
…just on a couple of occasions a couple of individual politicians said that.
AFAIK it was not VoteLeave policy

#2 It is not *fortunate* that the British Library archive captured it
Remain activists would have their own copies
    plus the Internet Archive would.

I think in many ways Vlad whether the words to “rule Brittania” are sung or not are the least of our problems. The only good thing about this situation is that it finally woke up some of the middle/political class who by virtue of their wealth have been able to ignore much of what is going on in the country and in particular the disgusting bias of this most useless and partisan of organisations.

Hate crime legislation – no worries, well he should all be nicer

Grooming gangs raping underage working class kids – no worries we dont live there

Question mark over the Tories commitment to Brexit – no worries if it goes wrong we just go back in.

Out of control migration/illegal migration – no worries these people are refugees and the birth rate is falling

BLM tearing down statues – no worries we can put up some new ones with inspiring BLM activists depicted instead.

However deprive them of a tub thumping sing song at the proms and suddenly the world is coming to an end.
Still I suppose we should be grateful for small mercies and in the end it is good that the arrogance of this disgusting organisation will be their final undoing. But lets not get too excited yet. We know that the political class still think the BBC worth saving and this new bloke (like Boris) talks a good game, but dont be surprised if at the end of the day we get stiffed again – It seems to be what Tories do best.

    1) The LF should not cover non bBC terrestrial services, in other words the LF covers only live bBc output

    2) Any bailiff action to be undertaken by the collector (Capita)

I visited your stores as a result,
but why bother if your going to turn around ignore your members wishes and place adverts and fund transphobia in the spectator

The spectator regularly print articles about trans minorities with nearly one article a week this year alone and overwhelmingly hostile.*
Yet Co-op support that negativity with advertising.

It’s the school bully , using the power-label “transphobia” to dehumanise The Spectator
        Her claim is not true
Rather the Speccie articles often show respect for 4 billion women concerned that trans women are pushing into their spaces

With re to my earlier post – I have just been reading the report on page 2 of the Telegraph about Ed Davie and the BBC reforms.

There was a long list about how he will do this and how he will do that but halfway down the article it says “He ruled out a subscription service similair to Netflix”

Does this mean that clever Edd is softening us with a list of reforms hoping that the government agrees to give them some sort of “last chance” ie direct tax or similair.

Of course once reinstated I expect that there would be little to stop this most toxic and deceitful of broadcasters to get back to their same old Britain hating ways.

Just as, having looked at Lurch’s output, there is no doubt the BBC is way further on ideology and much shyer on fact.

So according to the BBC, Star Wars is racist because a black man is angry he didn’t get a bigger part in one of the various sequels. Some would say he only got the part in the first place because he was black when the Star Wars franchise went fully woke giving lead roles to a white woman and a black man.

But this is here nor there to the BBC: Racism they scream and make it their lead news story for Children.

The BBC are actually damaging the mental health of British kids as well as giving them a completely inaccurate view of the world. There really is no saving the BBC. It has to be defunded as a matter of urgency.

Just skimmed through the BBC’s on-line sports pages. Seems that every sport has to have a racism story of some kind – even cycling, would you believe. But when I look further, it seems that even the business pages are full of racism articles, not to mention entertainment where there seems to be little else to read about.
Can’t BBC journalists find something more interesting to write about?
It seems not I supposed and when you subscribe wholeheartedly to the warped BLM agenda then I suppose it seems only natural to find racism beneath each upturned stone.

      Yep – confirmed.

Another odd thing. It is all totally secret. No announcement, no media coverage, at least not in our Press. It is no secret that for years the EU chiefs in Brussels, planning an EU army to help complete their dreamed-of federal state, have yearned for control of our special forces – the SAS, SBS, SRR, Marine Commandos and Paras – simply because they are not just the best in Europe but in the world. With the possible exception of two French SF units, there is nothing in the EU that could even try to match them.

So what is going on? We are supposed to have an Opposition (Labour) Defence spokesman to put trenchant questions to the Government. So where is he? In lockdown? We are supposed to have a Defence Secretary in the Cabinet to guard and defend the integrity of the men and women who wear the Queen’s uniform. Is Ben Wallace under a flagstone somewhere or tent in Scotland?

Ben Wallace just does what the civil servants tell him. He doesn’t seem to have a clue. They pretend this is all just ‘co-operation’ – but it’s more than that.
