TOADY Watch #2 – it is always interesting to
seehear who gets what to do on the programme.Underling Simon Jack, despite his status as BBC Business Editor was made to handle the BBC embarrassment of missing the 19th Anniversary of the attack on the Twin Towers in New York on ‘9/11’. Something far beneath our Mishal. Simon’s intro was priceless.
Mishal meanwhile gets to interview someone from Spain who is an EU bod and ask him about the latest developments and what might happen over our Government’s proposed Internal Markets Bill. Mishal thanks the gent warmly “Thank you very much.” so his contribution at being negative on Brexit was obviously just right and what was wanted.
Mishal is obviously quite keen to starve the people of Northern Ireland into submission.

I reckon there are causes for concern.
However as Africa is breeding colony for millions who ‘migrate’ here and expect feeding upon disembarkation, intensive farming to meet such demand might have consequences.

Each of our national newspapers live under a set of delusions of some kind, a set of delusions they would wish to share with their readership.
The ‘i’ claims an exciting exclusive: ‘Army to help with UK mass vaccinations’ – where to begin with this puff of nonsense?
Firstly, there is no vaccine. Experts without skin in the game will admit there’s little real prospect of one.
You have to wonder at the press imaginings of Britain actually having an army to call out. I’m guessing we’ve ten times more traffic wardens on our national payroll than there are squadies in barracks awaiting the bugle call.
And the idea of paramilitary paramedics is more Monty Python than Montgomery – “Roll up your sleeve, two three four, dab dab with the antiseptic, two three four, you’ll just feel a little prick, two three four…”
And that dear reader is exactly what you are if you buy into this army vaccination tosh.
The FT wants to ignore the fact the Remainer side keep losing elections and so they somehow think they can keep us under the thumb of Brussels: ‘Johnson was warned on Brexit deal’
Most of our press love the notion of a deadly pandemic whether because it fits their nanny state ideology or simply because fear and crisis help to sell their papers.
The Times warns: ‘Stay indoors or be fined’
Rather than dare to question first principles the Mail takes up one of those tedious newspaper campaigns: ‘Save our children’s Christmas!’ – of course exempting the kids from the rule of six admits it is a good rule for adults. By the way, how would the Brady Bunch manage with the rule of six, or the Waltons (“Goodnight John-Boy, goodnight Mary Ellen, goodnight Jim-Bob… better leave the house and go quarantine yourselves in the barn kids, rule of six, y’all!”)
The Daily Star seems to think there’s going to be a normal football season: ‘Free inside fixtures 2020/21’ – It will be interesting to see how many teams outside the financial elite go broke without ticket sales or big subsidies.
What are the ladies up to today? In the Telegraph we can admire actress Sharon Stone: ‘I still have instinct to shock at 62, says Stone’ meanwhile the Times has journo Sophia Money-Coutts: ‘I’ve frozen my eggs at 35’ – really – how depressing – fried, poached or hard boiled? Mary Berry appears to have a more appealling recipe in the Express: ‘My life just gets better’

AISI, Vaccination? We – the public – don’t know yet how the Covid-19 virus mutates and how fast because our national broadcaster doesn’t interview virologists working with Covid-19. It is also possible the virologists don’t know yet, either.
A little bit of good journalistic enquiry by the army of BBC Health journalists and their Health Editor would be a good start in finding out.
Why is this very important? It is because a vaccine may be impossible to create as it is for that other coronavirus known as the ‘Common Cold’. Or it may be that a vaccine – if found – turns out to be ineffective as many ‘influenzas’ a.k.a. coronaviruses vaccines are, such as Mexican Swine ‘flu’.

AISI.
You put:
Firstly, there is no vaccine. Experts without skin in the game will admit there’s little real prospect of one.
Well,
Spanish flu, Asian flu and Hong Kong flu came and went in a year or two. They then more or less disappeared.
By the time any vaccine does appear, it (covid) will probably be a distant memory.
How many have we ordered? Hundreds of millions of doses.
I expect these will end up being binned (unless there’s stuff in them that we are not being told about)
More £billions wasted.

EG, Gordon Brown blew something like £4bn on a vaccine for Mexican Swine ‘flu’ in 2008/09, a disease unlikely to reach the UK in substantial numbers. £4bn was worth something back then. Vaccine needed to be stored very carefully and was highly temperature critical in store.
I recall that the UK supplies had to be junked.
BigPharma sure saw Gordon Brown coming!

Another big question or even a BIG QUESTION the BBC should be asking of virologists and health professionals “Has the Covid-19 virus mutated to the point where it has become more transmissable but less fatal and does this vary across age groups or remains the same.”
There.
I’ve done another bit of thinking for you, BBC. Over to you, N&CA.

If this virus is becoming less fatal and more transmissible then it will be a logical progression.
The virus is successful.
If it carried on killing its hosts then its a failure and will die out.

Yes, Emmanuel, that’s a very good point and what does that suggest?
I have seen, somewhere on the mainstream Interwebby News (may have been the BBC web-site but also may been MSN or YahooNews) that there has been some concern whether this Covid-19 virus is going into the wider animal population.
Or is it a political & economic weapon from the Chinese?
The problem with the whole Pandemic is – from my point of view – the delinquency of journalists. Apparently worldwide. They are not doing their jobs. The people who should be most held to account are WHO and the UN. Instead, it is left to others like Tony Heller and Paul Weston and the Irish bloke on the previous Thread.
In that sort of situation, we do not know whether this was truly an animal virus or is man-made. We do not know whether it is a weapon or who it is directed at although the statistics do show some answers there. If anyone at the BBC does read this site, then the new D-G should be asked to call in the head of N&CA and give them a kick up the backside and instructions “Do your job or you are out of here.”.

Right from the start of the daily briefings the journalists could have asked questions that helped the rest of us judge risk. They didn’t. They, including Laura K and Hugh Pym who were far more bothered whether disposable gloves came in ones or twos or whether Dominic had taken a walk in the woods at a distance from other people.

10pm news BBC1 news last night. There was a report about how unfair it was that young women who have had babies during lockdown hadn’t had the same opportunities as women who had babies previously. Examples given included building up support networks. The report mentioned they were demanding money from government in recompense. The report centred on one young woman and towards the end of the report it explained she had joined the Labour Party to enable her to campaign on this issue. Well I suppose the BBC is learning that activists can be identified. But if this young woman, with a new baby, has time for activism, I guess she is doing fine, and wouldn’t top the list of greatest need.

Stew, but were they real Covid-19 deaths or co-morbidity deaths? Something that is not mentioned in some of the excellent videos that have been linked to on here (Ivor Collins or Cummings, on the previous Thread?) is that you must be stringent in recording deaths accurately. That means using Pathology facilities & staff that may be currently used for other Covid-19 related things, testing, vaccine hunt, etc..
In the UK we have been delinquent in accurate cause of death recording. Maybe we still are.
If Matt Hancock wanted to get a real grip on his job, instead of ‘the Rule of Sick’, it would be to enforce a strict and common standard for recording cause of death across the UK in spite of devolution.

Fedup2 – and, true to form, the BBC had Lyse Doucet on the ‘Today’ programme this morning…… not so much to celebrate the fact that peace talks are starting, but to complain that this, after months and months of US government intervention/support/encouragement, was simply and solely to do with getting good news into the frame for Mr Trump before the election.
Another Beboid (amongst many) who would rather have a good war or three going in the Middle East, than peace across the region, or concede that Mr Trump has done anything good in his presidency.
But there is no question that she and her Beeboid colleagues fully supported the annointing of a certain Mr Obama, who, within three days or so of taking office, had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize – having done nothing up to that point deserving such a reward – and, indeed, did nothing throughout his eight year presidency worthy of that accolade.
They must be so highly Pl$$€D that Mr Trump has been nominated for the same award – and seems to be eminently better qualified to receive it than Mr Obama ever was.

So, someone remind me again – what exactly was it that the BBC’s anointed one, Mr Obama, won this prize for ?
And, of course, the BBC launches in straight away, calling out his nominator as a ‘far-right’ politician…… no insinuation meant there, then.
It’s relentless…… and it is so far from being politically impartial.

Aopologies, in advance, for the length of this post, but it covers a range of points.
BBC Today programme this morning. Michael Gove was on the ‘long slot’ (used to be 08:10, but now seems to be a moveable feast depending on whether the BBC can find a big enough critic of the government if a minister is to be on the ‘long slot’, or enough of the likes of Laura Kuenssberg, Katya Adler, etc., etc, to top and tail any such interview.
First of all, Mr Gove was asked to comment on the recent COVID rules changes – the last question on this segment being – “Do you want people to be fined if…..etc., etc.” Mr Gove, polite to an extreme throughout this ‘interview’, began to answer (basically he wanted it to be a deterrent)- and astonishingly, there was no interruption from Mishal Husain. I remarked to my wife that she had now stopped listening, and was obviously studiously examining her notes/points/questions for the inevitable onslaught regarding the EU Withdrawal Agreement. The Beeboids are trained to do this – she really didn’t care about the answer to the last question on that topic.
Sure enough – she then started talking over Mr Gove, and immediately launched into him with a series of questions, purportedly initially asking what changes the government wanted and why. Mr Gove explained that it, like everything else in this process, is quite complex, and started to try to clearly outline why the issue has arisen. Husain was having none of that, and proceded to verbally abuse Mr Gove, shouting over the top of his responses, asking question after question which she never even waited for answers to, before launching into another – many of which were simply malicious accusations – along the lines of, for instance “The government was either incompetent at the point where the WA was signed, or it is now – which is it ?” Mr Gove started to point out what had actually changed, but again, Ms Husain was just unwilling to listen before setting off on another ‘question’ designed simply to trap Mr Gove. To his credit, Mr Gove was unfailingly polite to the end of what was a travesty of an ‘interview’.
One of the key principles of the BBC is supposed to be ‘to educate and inform’ the British public – but it should be completely obvious that the BBC has no intention of letting the British Public become informed about this issue. Partisan, political broadcasting of the first order. At one point, Ms Husain was actually speaking for around twice the length of time that she allowed Mr Gove to answer. Disgraceful. And damn the BBC, because I want to hear what the issue is really about – not just a blanket “..well, it contravenes an agreement”. Given his positiion, Mr Gove is probably best placed to inform us on this particular topic – why is he not allowed to by the BBC ?
As well as dealing with the detail of why the British Government is doing what it is doing, the BBC surely has a responsibility to also find out why the EU thinks it should not be doing it. With that in mind, I also heard earlier on the Today programme a Polish EU representative being offered information as to why the government was doing what it was doing, and being asked if he thought there was a point to that – he simply dismissed the question as, basically, rubbish and went back to blaming the government for destroying the Good Friday Agreement. No further questions were asked along these lines. I suspect the Polish guy had no idea about the point in question – his job was simply to ignore any real discussion on the topic and point the finger ! Mr Yanis Varoufakis (former Finance Minister in the Greek Government) pointed out in the same segment that the EU had been breaking international treaties for years – and specifically, and recently, its own treaties regarding such things as government subsidies – the Polish guy simply pointed out that the UK government had been instrumental in having such behaviour banned in treaties signed by EU ministers – completely ignoring the fact that it was not the UK which was breaking these international agreements, but those such as France, Germany, etc. This, of course, was not followed up by the BBC newsreader ‘interviewing’ these two foreign representatives. Compare and contrast the treatment they received at the hands of the BBC, with the treatment dished out to Mr Gove.
It appears to me that, if the EU and its UK broadcasting wing, the BBC, are going so far to try to prevent any clarity being put forward for this action, and simply trying to dismiss it as nothing more than a distraction, then there are two possibilities – it either is really quite simple to amend, or provide a written confirmation the the UK’s fears are unfounded, and a guarantee that they will not happen or…….. there really is an issue here, and the BBC and the EU are desperately trying to defend what could essentially become a threat to the integrity of the UK, for their own political purposes. The more this goes on, I feel the latter may well be the real answer.
It is becoming clearer, and clearer to the general public, I hope, that the BBC has clearly defined political objectives and biases, and is obviously unfit for purpose. De-fund it.

It quotes from this
https://briefingsforbritain.co.uk/playing-politics-with-the-protocol/
“Let’s not mince our words – the Northern Ireland Protocol is all about politics. It was cooked up by the EU in cahoots with a fervent Remainer May government and civil service to negate the result of the Brexit referendum. It had absolutely nothing to do with protecting the Good Friday Agreement nor with ensuring there was no hard border in Ireland.”
“… ever since [Boris Johnson’s revised Protocol in the WA] was ratified, the EU, Remainer officials and judicial activists have been trying to warp its interpretation to include all the unacceptable elements of the old backstop. The role of the civil service in this is deeply troubling (one cannot go into detail here), but Whitehall officials have been fighting a rear-guard action with ministers ever since January in a bid to keep the UK legally subordinate to the EU through the new Northern Ireland Protocol – regardless of the consequences for the Union or the economy and people of Northern Ireland.”
I’m sure we all remember Starmer banging on and on about the need for a ‘backstop’ allegedly to avoid a hard border.

Did you know the BBC operates a BBC Action Line?
It seems to be another means by which the BBC can influence and manipulate vulnerable people. It provides “help” lines – directing vulnerable people to BBC operatives and activist groups:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/actionline
The way it works is that the BBC covers an issue in one of their radio or television broadcasts or news bulletins which is designed to emotionally traumatize their viewers.
The distressed viewer then contacts the BBC Action Line where BBC operatives and Activist Groups tell them what they have to do.

@Cali that is a bit conspiracy theory
AFAIK know the BBC Action line number appears at the end if progs which have dealt with particular disturbing social problems ..say the 3 girls drama.
Surely that is the good and correct thing.
.. I think the lines are manned by external NGOs experienced in that particular topic.
Now since those NGO’s are almost always rooted in metroliberal agendas, there could be some brainwashing going on as well as the help & emotional support.
But I have no proof.

Hi StewGreen. It’s all about trust. Do you trust the BBC knowing what you know about them? Do you trust the BBC knowing how they embed various agendas into programs etc? Do you trust the BBC when you see how they purposely traumatize children on their CBBC channel into becoming activists? I have seen worse from the BBC (maybe you have to).
The BBC operate in a state of secrecy and it would be a mistake to think that the burden of proof lies with us when they remain so secretive and we have evidence from elsewhere of their clear malpractice.
Anyway thanks for your comment, it is always good to have views challenged. It allows different perspectives to be aired and arguments to be improved. That is what free speech is about. Unfortunately there are some, like the BBC, that would have it closed down. Too often the BBC is treated with kid gloves. Sometimes we need to have a Pat Condell type of presentation.

Can’t wait for the defunding..shame they will all get huge pensions

I’ll have to stay awake, Fed!
Saturday evenings are ‘Glenlivet’ hours, but I will damned well try!
I recommend the whole series of the Kay Scarpetta novels as an antidote, we have the whole set up to ‘Blow Fly’, and I’m back on book five – the last two were absolutely stunning!
Anything to avoid the rubbish on Al Beeb, but I do feel serious enough to see what they do at the end of the Proms, which I’ve tried to enjoy since I was about nine years old. They really are becoming the pits up there in Champagne corridors, and while I don’t mind Dotun at night (sleepless in Kent), the rest of them need a damned good kick up the arris.
Perhaps I should give everyone my phone number, so that they can wake me up in time…

Well there you are – I’ll go to the foot of our stairs!
After an hour and a half of the gorgeous Kay, the Glenlivet somehow applied the softest punch, and the book slipped to the floor…
A bleary Scrobs awoke at 9.50pm, and rushed to the TV in the kitchen.
It wouldn’t start! Belted into the lounge, same result, but that was because I was trying to start the damn thing with the DVD remote!
And what did I get? A third rerun of ‘The Two Ronnies’! Was it actually on the box, or just the wireless? I’ll never know, and today is another tomorrow, or whatever were the last words in ‘Whistle down the wind’!
Sorry Fed and James, I’ve let the side down – again…

I used to prom, many many years ago. I would buy a season ticket which included the Last Night. It had serious music first half before the Party started. Those of us who had been every night for 8 weeks thought those in the expensive seats were the interlopers. It was our party.
Since I stopped going every evening, I rarely watch The Last Night on the tv. It is like being gatecrasher.
I debated whether after the BBC’s capitulation I would watch. I didn’t. I dreaded the programme being like a sulky teenager, ie who were those presenting, the speech of the conductor etcetc.

Surely not extracting the Michael or anything else from the new Director-General? Whatever next? The paint isn’t even dry on him or his office door.

Ah! But is it catching?
Your outfit, Madam, as specially photographed for 15 seconds in the PR-induced limelight doesn’t fit with liberation in the feminist sense what with your cleavage appearing to desire a certain amount of liberation in its own right.

I know it’s not al beeb exactly but I came across an interesting betting market today – Donald Trump to win any state that he didn’t win in 2016!
Now bookies ARE impartial, they can’t not be, but a greater mind than mine might have an opinion on this as I see it as a cert to happen somewhere across the 50 states available? ????

I trust the BBC will send their crack team (high on crack) to investigate this truly shocking act of racism at 30,000 feet in which a (white) stewardess politely asks a (black) passenger to let her past only for the proud African American to go batshit crazy screaming white supremacy.
That’s what happens, beeboids, when you keep pointing the finger at racism everywhere: they start to believe you.

Trump 6/4

Touchjudge-Can you believe this load of diversity bollocks
the BBC is trying to jam down our throats? BBC if you had
enough of Beethoven,Brahms, Bruckner,Berlioz because
98% or more of the composers we who love classical music
want to hear are whites males Then bugger off and let somebody
else cover the Proms. They have a two minute clip of this years
“features” from the Proms which would make
Henry Wood turn over in his grave.
BBC I know that ethnic folk and those who menstruate can
be as equally as good musicians and performers as those
who produce sperm. But this wokeness in production of
this years Proms as presented on TV is as absurd
in it’s warped diversity as I have ever seen.

I have been anxiously awaiting the final details of the contestants on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. I was slightly perturbed to see that the wanna be dancers do not accurately reflect the ethnic make- up of the country. But then I realised it’s only the biased Beeb forcing their agenda once again. Plus the whole thing has deteriorated into the typical circus trash levels that many of their so called ‘shows’ gravitate towards.
If you were worrying about Blackpool please don’t as ‘A BBC spokesman said while contestants would not physically go to Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom in 2020, they would still be “celebrating the iconic venue” from Elstree studio.’ Similarly I will celebrating a substantial pay rise this year, my team lifting the F A Cup and Jennifer Aniston moving in hopefully on Wednesday.
The organisation is a shadow of what it once was and watching it’s continual self caused decline is like viewing a tragic comedy.
I might unfortunately give Strictly a miss this year as I need to concentrate on my rail timetable collection and a four year dissertation on the inside of a ping pong ball.

JThe BBC just can’t help themselves.
Despite the increase in Coronavirus cases ( worrying imo) , the death rate has stubbornly refused to go up.
This really does not support the seditious doom-and-gloom anti-government BBC narrative.
Their solution? They just run a feature casting doubt on the numbers !!!!!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274
‘Overall death toll could be more than 60,000’
Meanwhile, they also put up a map showing the UK Coronavirus hotspots but seem quite unable to work out what might possibly link several of them…….Birmingham, Leicester, Blackburn, Bradford………
Readers may have little difficulty but it’s just all a complete mystery to the BBC.

More cases has a DOWNSIDE .. off chance that someone might pass it to granny.
More cases has an UPSIDE .. no one who recovered from it has ever been recorded as carrying a heavy viral load
So the more people catch it and recover the more safe grannies are.
