The BBC helpfully publishes an article on when you have to wear a muzzle. There are nine photographs to illustrate it. Eight of them are of females, one is of a male. Seven of them depict wimmin’ of color (mainly the same one), only two depict people who could be described as ‘conventionally British/European’. White males comprise 40% of the population of this country – not a single one is shown.

BBC R4 Today programme this morning – Lisa Nandy (Shadow Foreign Secretary) given absolutely free rein in her interview with Mishal Hussain…… asked how Mr Starmer would change the Labour Party and its policies, waffled for a couple of seconds about how the Lasbour Party needed to be the hopey-changey party, before launching into an attack on the Conservative Party.

    Uninterrupted, natch.

Hussain feebly tried again to get an answer – got the same response, so changed tack and asked her questions which Nandy simply side-stepped and launched into the Conservative party again and again. NO interruptions, No challenges from Hussain, no demands to answer the specific questions she had been asked – nowt.

Same interviewer , an hour later, talks all over Michael Gove, Government MInister, makes snide comments when she doesn’t get the answers she wants. Gove is, as ever it seems, these days, infinitely polite, showing Mishal Hussain up big time, and even gave her a one-word answer at one point which completely stymied Hussain, because she hadn’t obviously read far enough ahead in her scripted faux exasperation….

She has history with this, and her bias is just so obvious, it’s quite a shame she has no talent to back it up.

The BBC seems to keep going on, these days, about the ‘sheer gall’ of Donald Trump in defying the precedent of a President not being able to appoint, in a Presidential Eelection year, a new Member of the Supreme Court of the US (SCOTUS).

BBC fails to point out, ever, that this ‘informal rule’ has a codicil attached (defined, it would appear, originally by the Democrats) that there should be no appointments to SCOTUS in a Presidential Election year ‘where the President and the Senate majority are of different parties’.

2016, where Democrats keep blaming the Republicans for not electing a Democrat member of Scotus was where Obama (who wanted to nominate Merrick Garland, a left-winger), and the Senate Majority, were of different parties, and the Republicans, with a majority of the Senate, perfectly within their rights, said that they would not agree to his nomination to the SCOTUS.

This year, the President and the Senate, who have the final say, are from the same party – so the ‘exclusionary rule’ does not apply.

There have been many SCOTUS members appointed in Presidential Election Years, and in far less time than exists before the current Presidential Election (one such beneficiary, was, of course, Ruth Bader Ginsberg).

Ah, well, don’t depend on the BBC to give you anything but a slanted view….and, of course, bias by omission.

Thank Christ there’s somebody, because as far as I can see Parliament is proving to be utterly useless. Kier Starmer tries to score some snide political points, but essentially agrees and the bovine back benchers bray their compliance and chortle “Hear hear.” They’re worse than pathetic.

I’m a freedom loving Englishman and I loathe what’s happening to our country. Never in a million years did I think I’d hear a British prime minister, particularly Boris, threaten his own people with the army…and not for the despicable act of desecrating the Cenotaph or vandalising Winston Churchill’s statue, oh no. This action will be taken for the heinous crime of not wearing a face nappy or inviting too many people into your house. I just can’t get my head around it.

This insane over reaction is beyond belief.
And those that don’t resist this authoritarian junta are beneath contempt…

The father of eight-year-old Saffie-Rose Roussos – the youngest person to die in the Manchester Arena bombing – told the public inquiry that lessons should already have been learned from past terrorism attacks.

The life of his daughter ‘is not a practice exercise for the security services or the emergency services’, Andrew Roussos said.

Mr Roussos – who described Saffie-Rose as ‘my star, my admiration, my perfect daughter’ – stood up to address the inquiry’s chairman, Sir John Saunders, after his wife, Lisa, paid tribute to their daughter.

He said the ‘biggest lesson and wake-up call should have come from 7/7 and 9/11’ – the terror attacks in London and New York.

Mr Roussos said that if lessons were still being learned in 2020, ‘nothing will ever change’.

He said: “Sir, could I just say something.

“With the highest respect I feel I need to say this.

“What we are all going through, the failures we are all listening to and the excuses we will all sit through, needs to stop.

    “Enough is enough, Sir.

“The biggest lesson and wake-up call should have come from 7/7 and 9/11.

    R4 Costing the Earth
I never listen cos basically it’s just a platform for Green NGOs to push propaganda.

Today it was Surfers Against Sewage
    .. Their dramatic claim was
“Surfers have 3 times the count of anti-biotic resistant bugs than the general public
What causes that .. ah must be sewage in the water”

So surprisingly Surfers Against Sewage say sewage is harming surfers.
Except this claim can be picked apart.
#1 The prog presented no claim that surfers are getting sicker
#2 It was also said that sea mammals like dolphin have a higher count of anti-biotic resistant bugs
The claimed sequitur was that MUST be from antibiotics in human poo coming into sewage and then into the sea when storm drains are flooded

.. Erm Sure mammals in one environment will have different bacteria to others
The porpoises an surfers spend a lot of time getting fit in salt water. I suspect one part is that the the bugs that are NOT resistant to anti-biotics are not resistant to salt water and exercise so that pushes down the count ..and therefore the resistant bugs occupy the space.

They were in Newquay and asked the SaS spokesman he pointed at a little stream and he explained that occasionally heavy rain washes sewage into the sea.
Come on it’s not going to happen often, and the area isn’t very highly populated
Other coastal ports where people don’t surf are going to have more sewage.

With a repuation for alarmism the prog brought on Dame Sally Davies -UK Special Envoy for Antimicrobial Resistance
implied that if human anti-biotic laden poo still flowed into the sea in future well will 10 million deaths per year.
Such predictions are The “All Other Things Being Equal” fallacy
ie assuming here that we in future won’t find new anti-biotic tech.

Yet all the time, Stew, the media – and other environmental groups – say humans and farm animals are pumped so full of antibiotics on a regular basis that we all leak them out into streams and rivers and the sea – and now the fish – are also full of antibiotics. That would rather cancel out all the germs that the Surfers Campaign Group are worried about and might/would explain why the surfers – as you rightly point out – are not getting sick.

    – Call out Conservative, Labour and Lib Dem politicians for allowing bogus asylum seekers to land and remain in the UK indefinitely.
    – Defend British culture and heritage against the Far Left “Woke” agenda disguised as political correctness.
    – Defund the BBC, who have been complicit in pedalling anti-British dogma venerated by the Black Lives Matter Movement, Extinction Rebellion and Antifa.

In 1987 I spent time in Egypt. In the far south, coffee coloured inhabitants gave way to very black inhabitants, known to us back then as Nubian.
As we wondered around Abu Simbel in the boiling heat of 8am we realised our black Nubian guide had a definite superior advantage. Better resistance than us to sunburn. I’ve never thought negatively about indigenous southern Egyptians.

Today we visited a National Trust garden. At the top of some steps, on each side, were two torch holders, around 3-4 feet high. They were ceramic, in human form and in Egyptian style, black statues with gold features of clothing and headgear. ‘Aha’ I instinctively thought, ‘Nubian Egyptian’ figures. Very nice.

Then I read the information board.

It was an apology for the slavery of Africans in Egypt, allusions to British colonialism, a grovelling apology for the statues being there at all and a commitment to remove the statues and place them in a more appropriate setting.

They’re trying to tell me what to think of Nubian Egyptians.
As Scandanavian autistic teenagers sometimes say, ‘How dare they’.

What an utterly pathetic, spineless, LeftMob- supporting, virtue-signalling, woke, pile of horse-shit the National Trust has become.

Radio 4 Extra is touting for ‘joke’ writers for Newsjack.

We are told that the sort of material that they are looking for will ‘ridicule government ministers and bring shadow ministers out from obscurity’.

Writing about politicians that no-one has heard of seems pretty pointless to me but I guess in W1AA they are interested in these things.

Wouldn’t it serve the public better if they ‘ridiculed shadow ministers and brought some of the junior ministers out from obscurity’? But that would bury them in Twitter guano I expect.

Talking of jokes, Radio 5 Hospital Radio was talking about Tesla cars. A female with a scratchy voice said her friend had one – there was a little laugh that ‘they couldn’t be working for the BBC’ (Morecambe and Wise, 1066, BBC suits, small ‘checks’).

My brother had a friend who was an unknown presenter on BBC local radio and he was on three times the national average salary, I expect Radio 5 Hospital Radio pays a good bit more, (and even more if you are a woman).

Unless you really want to have a rehash of the latest daft lockdown annoucements then a newspaper review will provide thin gruel this a.m.

No prizes for guessing the subject matter of today’s newspaper headlines to which we are waking up.

Speaking of being woke and of the award of pointless prizes, the ‘i’ informs us: ‘Bafta members rebel over ban on all-white shortlists’ – maybe when there’s a ban on the all-black final of the Olympic 100 meters?

The FT prides itself on informing us of developments in economic markets: ‘Virus forces drug dealers to switch to home delivery’ – cocaine-deliveroo? splif-ocado? Actually I’m heartned by this news. It goes to show no matter how hard governmental control tries to clamp down with new restrictions the free market will still find a way.

On this same theme the FT tells us: ‘Facebook pledges to restrict content in event of chaotic US election result’ – point one: Facebook already censors and point two: see above the free market in “chaos content” will find a platform elsewhere.

The Star disappoints with their thought for the day: ‘It’s a topsy-turvy world we’re living in’ – although their free giveaway booklet is aptly titled: ‘Puzzle Planet’ – one suspects Dawn Neesom will be speaking sense when she requests we: ‘Call time on covid’ – but her opinion is deep down on page 17 and beyond our remit.

Can we just get one thing straight – and this applies both to the Daily Mail headline writers and to some wishful-thinking posters hereabouts? We don’t have an army anymore, ok?

There’s no such thing as “calling the army out” or “calling the army in” for that matter. There simply is no such thing as regiments of eager disciplined soldierboys just waiting in barracks for the bugle to blow or the drum to beat or whatever.

Think about this: A recent report concerned with extremism in the forces indentified “patriotism” as a dangerous warning sign.

So when the Daily Mail shrieks: ‘PM’s draconian orders to last SIX months… He even sends in the Army’ – I’ll tell you exactly who is going to enforce pub curfews in little man Khan’s London and they won’t be in khaki – diversity hire plastic coppers…the long and the short and the tall… the fat and the black and the brown… the gay and the trans and the female – sod ’em all.. PCSOs that’s who! I’ll tell you who are going to enforce the SNP restrictions north of the border and it ain’t the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders – it will be local authority clipboard wielding, on the spot fine dispensing, high-viz numpties.

    ‘Protect women from hate’

The Law Commission – the body which keeps the law in England and Wales under review – is recommending for the first time that women should be protected under hate crime laws. A crime is considered more serious if it involves a hate element and the change would see misogyny treated in the same way as other discrimination, like racism or homophobia, when it’s a motivating factor.

Seven police forces in England and Wales already class misogyny as a hate crime, but the definition hasn’t been adopted across the board. Campaigners welcomed the proposal, among them Labour MP Stella Creasy, who called it “our moment for change”.

they form gangs, they suck up to the boss flirting etc and then target vulnerable people

I have seen the same behaviour so many times in different places that it is no coincidence

I have seen an 18 year old attractive female in her first job reduced to tears and walking out of a job through this by fat ugly jelous females

bullying by men in the workplace is relatively rare as confrontation and violence is a consequence whereas women operate more subtely, although I have often felt that some deserve a punch in the face for their actions as above

Singer-songwriter Gordi thinks it’s “incredibly selfish” not to wear a face mask during the pandemic. As a practising doctor in hospitals around the state of Victoria, she’s perhaps more qualified than most musicians to talk on the topic. Other artists such as Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown and Jim Corr have all recently rejected the face covering. But Gordi, who decided to help out on the wards again after coronavirus put paid to her tour with US indie-folk stars Bon Iver, is urging anyone with a mask aversion to reconsider.

I honestly believe that the Marxist anarchist hierarchy at
the BBC want a racist war in the UK to bring down the
    government.
You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to understand that they have all but become the media outlet of the BLM .Just watch their
“feature” on their internet pages about the more than 200,00
deaths in the USA from the Chinese virus.” Whats behind the
unequal threat to covid.” This a perfect example of the BBC doing
the BLM’S bidding. This obsession by the BBC is beyond belief ,but it’s true,
