Weekend Thread 26 September 2020

The final quality journalist is leaving the far left biased campaigning BBC for a new network- GB News – which apparently starts up in 2021. Who else will be leaving ? . Perhaps a bit more detail of the internal goings on of the BBC will come to light as the mediocrity remaining ‘journalists’ /purveyors of propaganda out wokes itself to avoid the coming redundancies ….

TWoTWeeee Watch #2 – The BBC love a good bit of Global Warming and Climate Change ….

…… so Mark Mardell had to get into his car and wander down to Gatwick Airport. What!? I hear you exclaim. The BBC doesn’t have a Surrey Correspondent in the middle of the county? Apparently not.

Maybe Mark went by train or bus (unlikely), as the BBC believe both of those run on air and require no CO2 emitting fuel. However, Mark was sympathising with those who have lost their jobs because of the downturn in aviation during the Pandemic. But that creates water vapour and CO2 and everyone knows the fuel is subsidised by the Goverment (not) and doesn’t know the passengers and the airport operators are taxed to the hilt instead.

You should be rejoicing, Mark. Just think of the Global Warming & Climate Change we have all been saved from. You should be telling these people to get jobs in IT or broadcasting. Travel is so yesterday.

    Lurch has been activated.

I wonder how he will handle the news that Tucker is the new BBC NA station chief?

There is a compilation from James Woods, but not quite fair due to BBC-style editing.

      However, this is hardly encouraging.

This… is the best the Dems can manage?

This… is what the BBC props up uncritically?

On a cross-party, politico-Media basis, I at least have a vague notion of policy differences here, though Red Tories and Labour being anything between Magic Grandpa and Slick makes it hard.

Over there I am at a loss who stands for what.

Trump does seem to be managing foreign policy results despite, well, everything thrown.

The economy… domestic health… hard to tell.

And then there are AOC and Gov Newsom trying to turn NY and CA into Venezuela with wind turbine powered cars, and cities across the land with lunatic mayors of color banning police and then screaming about white oppression as gangs render neighbourhoods to waste.

All egged on by CNN. RTd by BBC American BS.

TWoTWeeee Watch #3 – The BBC love a good bit of really ancient, days old, news ……

… so they dug up Gordi from where she languished on the web-site and called her for a chat at Licence Fee-taxpayer expense (from Australia!) with Mark Mardell. What a hero. Gordi, not Mark Mardell. She was touring Europe as a musician and went home when the place started to shut down. In a previous life she was a medic and so she answered a call to return to medicine and help during the Pandemic.

    Good for her.

Shame on the BBC for relying on old news for a programme fill.

It’s a pity about Chicken Noodle News for once upon a time, 30 years ago they were actually a fact based news organisation. They did offer “commentary” but it was never with the ‘reporters’, it was always with someone uninvolved with the “news” side.

I used to respect them because when it came to the “news they were fair and impartial.

Don’t know if it’s true but I read today that each test is in two parts, nose and throat, and if positive counts as 2 so you can halve the number of positive tests.

Today’s was around 5,000 positive tests which means 2,500 people.
The number of tests carried out today was 245,000 (approx.)*

    *These might be yesterday’s numbers.
