BBC news tonight, more shots of beer glasses being filled and people in pubs trying to cope with restrictions on alcohold.
I assume the scientific advice is coming from the top.

Beeb is treating us to another Prime Time propaganda piece at 7.30 (Panorama)
Rianna Croxford, so we know exactly what political line is going to be pushed. Don’t think too many of us will be watching.
And, looking at the topic, I think I could actually write the script. All the agendas, utterly predictable. The narrative will continue, as ever.
Still, it’s not a repeat, so that’s unusual! Then again, a repeat of -just about anything- would probably be better for all concerned.

    Oh, oh, it’s a change of schedule. Here’s Boris…
I don’t think beeb will miss a chance to push Rianna, so who knows what programme will bite the dust.
Rishi is there too, so money will be blown like there is no tomorrow.
(Perhaps I shouldn’t have used that saying..?)

So now we know what was cancelled. Even the mighty Boris and the charming Big Spender had to make way for ‘Panorama’. They were simply faded out by the ruthless Fiona, and that was that.
Beeb, in full flight, don’t take no prisoners.

Better to pop to Dr Steve Turley, who discusses the manipulation of the US polls by their MSM. Apparently Biden drew eight people to his rally in Arizona.
      Well done, sleepy Joe.
Never mind, Rasmussen polls gives you a twelve point lead, fella.

It’s gonna be a landslide in la la land.

Despite the majority of the UK the HYS comments do not reflect that .
Could this be Al Beebs propaganda team at work?

BBC Lead Story in their World News section:

    2020-10-12-1926-World-not-updated-page-00.jpg

    and a few hours later:
    2020-10-12-1926-World-00-updated.jpg

The headline is toned down as they likely realised in their attempt to demonise Donald Trump that the headline could have been seen as attacking a woman (rather than a Trump). However the use of the phrase “her controversial Supreme Court nomination” and “Trumps pick” gives away the general rabid anti-Trump tone of the article.

There is absolutely nothing “shameful” nor “controversial” about her nomination.

The only thing shameful is the BBC’s 24 hours a day 7 days a week anti-Trump propaganda and hateful rhetoric.

I was enjoying “In the Face of Terror” – primarily the story of the American hostages Jim Foley and Kayla Mueller taken by Isis and the attempts by their families to get justice – until tonight when they showed the trailer for next week’s episode. It is going to be about the massacre in New Zealand carried out by the “Far Right”. This is no part of the story they have been telling so far but clearly this is now going to be presented as a case of moral equivalence – their fringe extremists against our even more dangerous fringe extremists. Which of course is not what it was. There is never any attempt by the BBC to locate the justification for the savagery of the jihadis where it truly lies – in the text of the Koran.

    Well, my word!

I had just finished watching a recent Steve Turley video on YT before turning on R4 News At 1000 pm. The video headed:

“Biden Campaign COLLAPSING as RIGGED Polls REVEALED to be FAKE!!!” – Debunking the fake polls which our, “Most Trusted Broadcaster”, the BBC love to quote.

Then, a little later listening to a report as, so-called ‘News’ on BBC R4. Apart from the Turley video I had earlier flipped across numerous US channels to ascertain how the Trump campaign was progressing. Virtually all the realists believe it will be a landslide in November. Even more so than 2016.
I and others here have been musing how the Dem/communists arrived at their polls showing a significant Biden lead. Well, this Turley video explains all.

The BBC? Well they, in the US election context, could never be seen as, ‘Reporters’. More accurately seen as Actors. Acting to a script can be the only explanation why their reporting is so so far adrift from reality. You could be forgiven for thinking they were reporting on and from a totally different country.

Bookies don’t “know” anything in terms of outcomes, their only job is to run a balanced book. I would not be surprised if British punters are putting money on Biden, if they are relying on the MSM for their information. The odds will simply reflect that. Bookies don’t know or care who wins, so long as they get their odds right, to reflect the way the money is going.

        ‘Powerful’ Trump freaks out MSM

President Donald Trump has returned to the campaign trail less than two weeks after testing positive for coronavirus. Thousands gathered for an outdoor rally in Florida – a key battleground state – with little evidence of the social distancing on show at BLM riots and Biden one on ones with nobody. Mr Trump told the crowd he felt “so powerful” and ready to “kiss everyone”. The president and his rival Joe Biden – who spoke in Ohio on Monday – are scrambling to secure votes ahead of the 3 November election, as votes, it seems, at last to media, are what count. Polling the BBC likes suggests Mr Biden has a 10-point lead nationally, but things are much less rosy in some key states as things may just turn out like last time.
Our loon in the Limo, Lurch, has the latest melt do… analysis..

There is a growing amount of opinion in the US , obviously not on the MSM, that the polls are so spectacularly wrong that it must be a deliberate policy amongst most of the polling companies. Some suspect that if Trump does win, then these pre election polls will be used as part of the justification by the Dems to refuse to concede the election and to further mire the President in yet another fake conspiracy. I desperately hope that Trump wins and that the Dems concede in good order.
Refusing to accept the result of a democratic election is becoming something of a trend amongst the liberal elite both in the US and the UK and is undermining democracy further each time it happens. On the upside I suspect that by refusing to abide by the outcomes of democratic votes the liberal Woke elite is driving more and more people to vote anti establishment and pro populist.
Another reason why the Woke elite may be faking the polls is that they already have plans in place to massively interfere with the election voting and need to have a the prediction of a Biden victory as cover for their vote rigging.
If Trump wins then he must go no holds barred after all the Wokists who would have tried to twice to subvert democracy. Only a massive cleansing of the Augean stables can restore faith in democracy and justice. Long prison sentences are required for many. The MSM is harder to deal with but their lying must be exposed and their credibility absolutely destroyed.

        Double:

        I agree with you.

The polling companies are effectively part of the MSM left wing blob. They are predicting a Biden landslide that will not happen. He is a very poor candidate, not actively evil as Hillary was, but old, weak, corrupt and showing signs of dementia. Would you vote for that?

I agree that these polls are being used to set Mr Trump up for waves of lawfare if he wins. How can he have won fairly if the polls showed a landslide for Biden?

We now know (although the MSM hides it) that the Deep State exists, and was actively planning to destroy a Trump presidency even before he was elected. The corruption of the Obama White House, the CIA and the FBI is now unarguable. The only thing missing are the indictments, which the Department of Justice seems to find very hard to make. It is almost as if the left wing blob is dragging its heels until after the election. I wonder why?

        • Doublethinker says:

Yes it is a source of great disappointment to me that the Durham report wasn’t published last spring and that the perpetrators of the failed coup aren’t either behind bars or awaiting trial. Even the seemingly pro Trump AG Barr, has either been run into the sand by the strength of the delaying liberal elite or, worse, got at like his predecessor Sessions and is now fearful of retribution if the report is published.
One thing that we can be certain of is that if Trump loses the liberal elite will go after him big time. They will want to make an example of him so no other ‘tribune of the people’ dare stand up and confront them in the future. Any made up charges will be used to get him. He would be well advised to leave the country but I think he will stay and fight rather than run. Brave but probably futile because the deck will be stacked so heavily against him.

The BBC once again unable to join the dots…

First and top of the list they attack Boris for the Northern lockdown…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54518002

Then they report on massive money laundering in Leicester textile factories enjoying a boom in sales of cheap online shopping….

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54509461

Then they report on Leicester textile firms working throughout the pandemic and taking on a load of extra workers with no protection and even being made to go to work whilst infected and all jammed into the same space…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-53363102

Multiply this in almost every Northern town and maybe the government should be looking to close the factories and takeaways before aiming at pubs?

    My conclusion..

The North is jammed with asian back-street businesses, the South not so much… The North is hit hard, the South not so much…

    QED?

Oh… and Trump is still as mad as a box of frogs of course! Meanwhile “other sources” are reporting that the US polls being pumped out by the lefty media are fake and that Biden’s vote share is dropping like a stone!

Unless I am mistaken, I seem to have noticed that the BBC appears to be quietly inching reporter Dan Johnson back into the fold. After a period of silence from Dan, he seems to be rearing his head as a small-time sports reporter right now but no doubt is targeting Panorama in due course.

You will remember Dan as the BBC chappie who together with South Yorkshire Police tried to lynch Cliff Richard with a dawn raid, involving texts to the police and BBC helicopters filming etc.

    This from Wikipedia…

“Contrary to established procedures, under which Johnson’s disclosure of the leak “should have been treated as a critical incident and should have triggered a Gold Group [a meeting led by the Association of Chief Police Officers] under a Chief Officer to determine the next steps”, the police controversially struck a deal with Johnson and the BBC giving them exclusive access to, and insider knowledge of, the investigation. This led to the BBC having a news crew and helicopter in position at Richard’s home in Berkshire to provide live news coverage as the police commenced a raid on the property on 14 August 2014, and extraordinary contact between Johnson and SYP’s press officer. Johnson received a text alerting him that the police were “Going in now, Dan”, to which he replied “Give me a shout before they take anything out, so we can get the chopper in place for a shot.”

It ended up in court costing Yorkshire Police a large sum in costs (public money of course!) and also the BBC had to pay out a load of license fee payers cash to settle the case. I can only imagine the effect on Cliff Richard.

I am amazed that the BBC even considered for one minute hanging on to him let alone trying to kick-start his career again.

There appears to be a live change.org petition to get him fired but it’s not really got any traction as yet.

Maybe it needs another big push?

It’s arrogant actions like this from the BBC that reveal their true colours…

I was ‘there’ last week for a non-emergency consultation prior to a procedure – after a referral from a year ago..

The reception gestapo were on every door and desk shouting at the old and infirm to ‘Stop’ ‘Put your mask on’ ‘Wait there for 5 minute’ ‘Don’t touch that’ ‘Have you got an appointment’….. etc. Hitler would have been proud of the little storm-troopers.

Being slightly younger and of course fedup with the whole thing, I snapped backed at one member of the SS, especially when I was told the ‘computer said no’ regards my appointment, Revenge was mine, when my letter produced from my coat with a flourish stated otherwise… Sort it out please, its what I pay you for!

Anyhow once in and waiting for an x-ray , the 10 minute discussion among three nursing staff was a discussion as to how best stick a sign on a door…..

      Busy then….

A new paper by Migration Watch says it is essential to set a cap on immigration for the main work permit route in the face of rapidly growing unemployment, and calculates that 45,000 is the correct limit to ensure UK workers are given a fair chance to fill any new vacancies.

    Recent polling clearly shows that:
71 per cent of the public want a cap on work permits to be retained (as in Australia) despite government plans to abolish it.
Nearly 80 per cent of the public think that government should ensure British workers are brought into work before employers seek more overseas labour.

ti, I reckon 0 is the probably the correct figure in the light of certain economic trends, not just the unemployment figures.

Banks are closing branches at an accelerating rate. Routes into work via cafes, bars and restaurants are likely to be severely depressed for a couple of years if not longer as will be the arts, the servicing of road vehicles, other work in transport industries with the exception of bicycles and finally professional sports.

We have to be realistic and look after the people that are already here, especially the young, many of whom will be the children of previous migrants.

TOADY Watch #1 – An interesting implication from JustRemainIn Webb.

I really couldn’t stomach the TOADY prog this morning and switched off after the 7 a.m. News as listening from 6.38 a.m. all I heard was waves of negativity from the Knaves of Wegativity also known as the BBC. My ears were struck though by the implied admission from JustRemainIn that SARS-2 and Covid-19 are different. No vaccine has been found for the former in 18 years.

JustRemainIn was casting gloom on the possibility that a vaccine will be created any time soon for the Covid-19 virus.

    BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – Interesting

The BBC put up photographs that often are very revealing. It is notable that Local Authorities, who always claim that they have no money to do anything, have been very quick to have metal, plastic or encapsulated paper signs made up to bolt to street supports or cable tie to railings and fences.

As the pandemic has progressed so has the proliferation of public warning signs plagued the environment in which our population live.

Yes, I know that Rishi Sunak has been dishing out the dosh but it is remarkable how quickly LAs can get some things done and for what purpose.

Our local clowns have put up ‘advisory’ 20mph signs that look like speed restrictions but are not official. They are cable tied board.

Every one has blown or been torn off and now lies in gutters.

Even when up the boy racers ignored them as they tend to face sideways.

Or, if visible took it as a multiplier rather than limit.

Arts, Entertainments, Hospitality industries are all at it again. Yes understandably, jobs are on the line and all those out of work from the just starting out kids to the long timers have my deepest sympathy, BUT unless there is a healthy population then your choice of career has no relevancy.

If we all descend into rubbing two sticks together to get a fire going, who do I want by my side ? certainly not a ballet dancer, Shakespearean actor or a Hotel Concierge, I want a doctor, or someone who can be practical.

Yes we need the Arts etc for our wellbeing, but the reality is they are not the essentials in our life if we get sick.

Lies, propaganda or incompetence? The BBC website is gleefully reporting that “Meanwhile, the latest Office for National Statistics figures showed there were 11,444 deaths registered in the UK in the week to 2 October – meaning coronavirus deaths are doubling every fortnight.”, implying that there are huge numbers of Covid-19 deaths. Er, not exactly. The ONS actually reported 321 coronavirus related deaths for that week, up from 215 for the previous week. The correct numbers are on the Sly News website. I suppose 321 doesn’t sound quite as impressive as 11,444 though, does it BBC?

Possibly due to your prompting, Ian, the paragraph has now been changed to:

“Meanwhile, the latest Office for National Statistics figures showed there were 343 deaths involving coronavirus registered in the week to 2 October – a figure that has been doubling every fortnight over the last month”.

Total Covid-19 deaths for each of the last three fortnights are 754 (to 09 Oct), 392 (to 25 Sep) and 193 (to 11 Sep), so now almost factually correct, if not misleading and scaremongering.

@Ian The BBC uses art students to write about maths, hence the large number of errors
“Meanwhile, the latest Office for National Statistics figures showed there were 11,444 deaths registered in the UK in the week to 2 October
That is TRUE but it’s ALL deaths not just Covid.
It’s actually 591 more than 5y average ..so that is the Covid/lockdown effect
So yes it implies there are a large number of extra deaths
Ostensibly 343* WITH Covid, and 248 extra from delayed Cancer ops etc.

The 321 might be Eng/Wales only

(That was week40 To give you an idea that we are nowhere near the worst time
The Covid death rate in Week 15 was 6,888
      that’s 20 times more)

Nice cosy little chat on BBC news between Ben Brown and Gary o’Donoghue , both seemingly very happy with the news that polling shows Biden’s lead widening and even catching Trump in some states he won easily last time.

This was after a report on the latest Trump rally which just happened to turn into a Biden propaganda piece.

You sense the BBC thinks its a done deal for Biden.

TWatO Watch #1 – Oh, ho ho!

The BBC, the Knaves of Wegativity, really wanted to attack our Government but unfortunately David Nabarro of WHO was around to defend it and say – effectively – it is making a better job of managing the virus than some countries. In fact, if I recall correctly, he said that at WHO they were pleased with the way the UK had dealt with the Pandemic. That of course raises other issues but the Montacutie didn’t ask about them.

The Montacutie asked about Europe and probably, really, really, honestly, almost certainly, wanted Nabarro to say the UK was the worst in Europe and certainly the worst among the EU nations.

But he didn’t because it would not have been true.

A brave dismantling of ‘postmodernism’ : From PLANET NORMAL (Telegraph 12th October) has a feature article on the current Woke obsessions of the BBC and UK Institutions it has infected. Entitled Cynical Theories. and by an academic herself, she lists the problems of ‘identity politics’ championed by the BBC (an sadly other UK institutions following on uncritically to date. The entire ‘political correctness’ is exposed as a vocal minority (less than 4%) permanently ‘offended’ by identity issues whether gender, race or sexuality. Helen Pluckrose (a Humanities Professor) and James Lindsay ( Mathematician) take apart and lacerate the ‘postmodernists’ which is a school of thought (1960’s) which has denies objective truth, claiming everyday language stems from oppression by a white patriarchy. This morphed into “Critical race theory”, where “identity politics” began. “Critical race theory” was developed in the US context”, says Pluckrose, “…just imposing the Windrush generation and postcolonial Britain, onto a framework from American history just isn’t right”.

Countless studies show, “…that the UK is one of the world’s least racist countries”. She point out currently the “Woke Brigade” have hounded JK Rowling for simply stating the obvious that a “Woman” should not be downgraded to “people who menstruate”, for example. Pluckrose describes an intolerant “diversity and inclusion industry” hired by nervous UK companies hired to retrain staff to dismantle (perceived) “white privilege”. Its a spiral of discontent where lots of “.. of Black and Asian people (BAME) are expected to testify to a particular experience of racism they don’t feel that they have experienced.” i.e. a practice found in the BBC in finding the most gullible (and precious) and then suggest that they portray themselves as VICTIMS (never perpetrators which is also the case in many races) in a never-never ending claim for a retribution from those they despise. i.e. the rest of us.. (those that do not identify as ‘them’). The BBC in the UK is clearly in breach of its Charter in adopting a class system based around their own distortion mirror BBC editors as ‘truth’ which can never be questioned. Wokism is the new hobby horse. But it has real dangers as reported in the book. Left wing ideology is behind much of this (Frankfurt) school of thought. If you repeat it often enough… the BBC accept it as ‘true’, which is really a lack of editorial guidelines to any impartiality or balance by the current ‘postmodernists’, a BBC collective of ideology.

BBC Wokism culture has spread to all areas of University academia. The affects are widespread and damaging requiring total conformity ‘political correctness’ which is contrary to what Universities (old liberal) were intended to prevent. Like the BBC, a virus infection that takes advantage of its funding.

A brave dismantling of ‘postmodernism’ (A Telegraph podcast).

“Amazon is facing boycott calls over its business practices as its Prime Day sale begins” says the BBC headline.

It turns out that the boycott call is solely from minor campaign group ‘Ethical Consumer’ who I’ve never even heard of. Looking on their website it appears that they have been calling for a boycott of Amazon for years.

My concern over this story is that it looks very much like manufactured news by BBC editors. The headline implies there is a groundswell for a boycott when probably they have just spotted a press release from a little known campaign group and decided to create an article to attack a company simply because the don’t like successful and capitalist Amazon.

If I’m right, it’s another example of political campaigning rather than real news.

Not the first; won’t be the last, but it is risible and needs to stop.

Timmeh!’s efforts at reining in professional oblivion are pathetic thus far.
