Talk Radio has a lot of lockdown skepticism

They put up some recent videos of calls from the public also

TalkRadio also put up a couple of polls

    – Do you want a second national lockdown?
    15,000 votes
    – Who do you think will win the US election?
    5,000 votes
    both were 84% to 16%
    Guess which way

I suspect there are plenty there – but when someone might be seen by the public, the required shade will be pushed forwards.

Reminds of a bit of the Eurovision sng contest I was watching the other day. I had just watched the Dana song from 1970 where she was as pure and sweet as an angel in every sense. So I checked recent ones and found that ugly fat woman who won screeching about how beautiful she is. The main point though was when the camera was at the audience : someone clearly working for the event jumped in front cheering like a maniac then reached off camera, grabbed a coloured girl and pulled her quite violently in front of the camera. She looked quite shocked and surprised.

Since they KNOW so much better than us they feel entitled to be biased.
Crimebodge has a new amazing video where he exposes the POLICE can be the same .
The second BBC connection is why the heck are MSM not reporting this amazing incident ?
    which has resulted in
#1 £100K of taxpayer money being paid out for this violent botched arrest
#2 Zero proper legal action against the 3 officers, so once against Crimebodge as a member of the public is bringing a private prosecution.

In the video the police make the remarkable claim , they couldn’t discipline one of the officers cos they didn’t know his whereabouts.
There is a update “apart from the main officer who has just be jailed for sex/corruption offences
The second officer Brightman was also kicked out of the force and has also been imprisoned for sexual offences!”
“The third one was promoted to CID”

In order to save on nerves in the run up to the US Election I’m trying to ‘game ‘ the BBC response to the three outcomes –

    1 trump win
    2 Biden win
    3 a disputed outcome …

Anyone wanna play the game ?

As for TR – I assume he is being kept in custody on some politically motivated state charge – and put before a special court with a special prosecutor and a special magistrate or judge ….
….. or bail conditions so hard and so long as to screw his life to the maximum – encouraging spending on legal fees against the state judiciary ….

For the last four weeks Al Beeb has been telling us Joe Biden is going to win the US election , he’s going to be the next president, Trump is finished etc .
Today they’re telling us the race isn’t over, Trump has black magic , Democrats can’t count their chickens yet .

Is that part of a plan ? First demoralise Trump supporters hoping they’ll give up and not take any further interest in the election , then warn the Democrats not to be too hasty , to make sure they vote and get the incoherent one in ?

The BBC do more damage than the Russians and Chinese together .

    The making of a BBC super hero: ‘…Prof Neil Ferguson of Imperial College, London and published on March 16 2020 – is a work of prognostication, divination, haruspicy and apocalyptic augury worthy of John the Apostle. It is a breathtakingly portentous piece of research. Hundreds of thousands of lives can be saved – disaster averted, evil defeated – but only if the computer modelling of the saviour-epidemiologists is 100% believed and their recommendations fully enacted. But what makes it truly scriptural – i.e. a foundational text for a global religion of Covid suppression;

Remind me that the Global Climate Change is upon us heretics of UN Agenda 21.

The BBC will warn us of the seas-a-increasing, the wind-a-howling (windmills-a-swinging), the teachers a screeching (soon), the governments (in the US) a folding, the victims-a-multiplying (benefits mostly), the true vision of world governance to solve all problems post Corbyn.

The greatest leader we never had until , the new Labour leader (HAIL the apocalypse)

The problem (according to the BBC) is BREXIT. So they have had to bring it all forward to ensure the EU survives and the US perishes. Covid saves the planet from mankind. All we need to do is agree that Marxism is a pretty good idea if your broke, destitute and homeless. Money will be replaces with TV license vouchers exchanges at most good food banks.

Neil Ferguson is a divination prophecy according to the book of Marx ‘das capital’ and all knowledge is theft, bad is good, tv license has medicinal powers and any other ‘loadascodswallop’ that nobody thinks is true, gets a polish on the BBC airwaves as ‘TRUTH’ and that everything they predict is upon the ‘non-believers’ of the TV license, may the plague be upon us.

That is when all the false positives are added up, amount to very little other than another winter cold virus, not a bad as anything predicted by Prof Ferguson who has history of gross exaggeration and a catalogue of failures, all ignored as he has friends in high places.

Tommy Robinson was arrested at Speakers Corner for breaking Covid rules. That is what we are told.
The background – check for yourselves.

Last week Hatun Tash, a Christian woman, was beaten in the face by offended perfect people at Speakers Corner when she showed a picture of a prophet.

Tommy Robinson said he would support her at Speakers Corner this week.
So masses of cops and lefties turned up and he was arrested for breaking Covid rules, whereas the mosleums and far left were not deemed in breach of the rules.

If anyone thinks that TR was not set up, that Covid rules are being employed for political objectives by a Government committed to Islam, then think again.

Weak, flabby and easily subjugated, no interest seemingly to question government action-like people living in countries with a Communist regeme, the people of Britain are begining to show signs of allowing the inception of mass control, and the eventual loss of their Freedoms to come about. I was Xmas shopping at the seaside the other day. I saw a sticker with Donald Trump wearing a mask over his eyes. So I took off my mask. Asked why I took off my mask. I said “It makes me feel like an unthinking zombie, but with an IQ of 164, I’m almost as intelligent as Donald Trump”. I haven’t had any infection since last Xmas, and according to the evidence. Chinese Flue is a new flue less dangerous than Hong Kong Flue and Asian Flue was. Spanish Flue was 400 times more dangerous than Chinese Flue. You have to be very old and frail and about to die anyway, to have a chance of dying like my 99 year old granny did. Most of this year more people are dying with ordinary flue than the Chinese Flue. The flat top graph of future doom is very suspicious, and never happens in the past evidence. It would take a set of remarkable balanced coincidences between the death rate and the supply of new people in hospitals to die. Usually the graph rises until it runs out of people able to die, then falls because people able to die have died.

I think the upper-class left-wing morons need to replace Climate Fear with Flue Fear due to the findings below.

Ten years ago I remember some Astronomers said that Venus would provide the best atmospheric chamber for calibrating atmospheric carbon dioxide warming. Then in January this appeared in the Mensa Magazine: “We do know that the Greenhouse Effect exists because all Planetary Atmospheres have a surface temperature higher than the grey body temperature. The problem is that the Arrhenius hypothesis, as explained by NASA, does not work on planets with carbon dioxide atmospheres, proving that it is a Dogma. On the other hand a formula for the Greenhouse Effect based on Atmospheric mass, gravity and air pressure first suggested by James Clerk Maxwell in 1871, was proved correct in 2011 for all known Planetary Atmospheres by Ned Nikolov & Karl Zeller, Gravity pulling molecules downward producing the heat gradient. Other scientists have found the same results using NASA data with air pressure and the Ideal Gas Law. Therefore I hope that environmental activists like Greta don’t phone up Mensa and demand that the editor should be sacked for publishing this email, which is what scientists are presuming to be what is going on within the British media these days”

As far as I know, Donald Trump has been told about this. Its big in America, China and Germany. But in Britain I have only found reference to it in Tallbloke’s Talkshop and the British Mensa Forum. On the other hand, a moron called Boris wants to commit the Tory Party to outdo more sane left-wing governments abroad, by getting the taxpayer to pay for windmills to tilt the climate and lockdown power stations. Producing an increase in electricity prices and power cuts unless the Reform Party wins the next election.

I’m starting to wonder about Andrew Neil. On the Speccie channel he put out an hour long programme on the US election with illustrious guests and ‘experts’, yet failed to mention the huge scandal of the Bidens, and the even huger scandal of msm / big tech collusion, bias, suppression and censorship.

Has he been too long at the BBC?

He even casually sneered that ‘Trump is a narcissist’ as though it were fact. I suspect a good deal of the vitriolic hatred the establishment has for Trump is nothing more than snobbery. They despise his vulgarity and brashness.

Even the usually sound Douglas Murray spoke in measured and balanced tones of the situation in America, as if things were anywhere near normal – when what is needed is someone screaming from the rooftops that the election is rigged, the system is rigged, and Trump Derangement Syndrome has reached psychotic levels.

Step forward Salty Cracker. His rage-filled hyperbole seems much saner to me than all those ‘reasonable’ talking heads.

The BBC aren’t reporting it yet, but no doubt they will as soon as they can work out how best to spin it.

Tommy Robinson was arrested at Speakers Corner for “breaking Covid rules”. Apparently the other gazillion people present weren’t.

A bit of background: last week the heroic Hatun Tash was violently attacked by a member of the Religion of Savagery for daring to point out the contradictions in a certain Book.

(She foolishly believed free speech was still allowed in those few square yards.)

So this Sunday TR went to give her support. I’m not sure of the details but I suspect the savages did what savages do… and TR gets arrested (and treated quite roughly by the looks of it).

According to the Mail: “Supporters suggested the initial gathering was about showing support for another activist, Hatun Tash.

She claims to have been attacked at Speaker’s Corner after showing an image of the prophet Muhammad, an act considered deeply offensive to Muslims.”

CLAIMS?? Guys, there’s footage of her being slapped hard in the face. Do your homework.

But thing what struck me about that story (which the MSM all hid behind weasel words or didn’t even mention) was that the crowd were going to murder the van driver until the Imam stopped them. F**king savages who belong in the stone age.

I’m mystified why the Left defend Islam so much. They have nothing in common. I have concluded that they do it simply to use as a weapon against the Right.

The far-right spoke up very early about grooming/raping gangs
The left chose to be complicit in the cover ups, for a number of reasons and ran with the narrative that the “far right HATES muslims”
Whereas those protesters didn’t say there was a problem with people’s skin colour, but rather it was the Islamic belief system they were following, led to sex crimes & coverups and other negatives.

Once convinced that the right are against them, many innocent followers of Islam would look at the left as “my enemy’s enemy is MY friend”

Something a bit odd going on with R5Dead…

Stephen Nolan had a caller near the end of his show at 1:00am, who went on a bit about his ailments, family etc, and about forty minutes later, the very same bloke cropped up on Dotun’s phone-in to say exactly the same thing!

It’s still online if anyone bothers to listen to it all, but surely, someone has been tinkering about with the calls and ‘managing’ who gets on, and maybe gets a call back later!

Is this the new way to get at Boris and Co?

The BBC have a database system for each caller
As soon as you call in their screen flashes up “good old lefty caller” etc.
      And lists your previous calls.
To beat the system callers would need to call from a different phone from last time.

Yes, I noticed that a lot of the callers had been on before, Stew.

Most of their arguments are a bit ‘basic’, with a lot of ‘you knows’ and repeating their comments several times, so it’s not actually articulate, riveting stuff to listen to, but to get the same bloke on within 40 mins on two different progs, seems a bit over-the-top to me!

I called very early, soon after 1:30am (sleepless in Kent), and while charming, the telephone lady said to wait until at least until 3:30am if there was a chance of getting on!

No cigar of course, but several boring bits of music later I gave up interest anyway!

I quite like Jonathan Wingate and Mark Webster, as at least they are real journalists, but as for the callers, I’m dismayed that anyone with half a brain really bothers now.

‘Four more years?’ frets the Guardian this morning. But don’t be too concerned, it’s not our seemingly endless lockdown restrictions that bother the most liberal-minded of our liberal-minded press – it’s the fear of: ‘What a second Trump term would mean for the US’

Oddly enough, we understand it was an American Civil Rights campaigner of the 1950s who coined the phrase “Keep Your Eyes on the Prize”

So whilst our own ancient civil rights gurgle away down the plughole of authoritarian covid fear, don’t forget Orange Man Bad.

The Daily Telegraph presents: ‘Your complete guide to the new rules’ – are you sitting comfortably? Then here’s the main headings: ‘Care Homes, Shielding, Child-minding, Holidays, Medical Care, Pregnancy…’ – I’ll stop for breath there and perhaps let the thought sink in about all those areas where the government is directing our lives. OK, here we go with more: ‘Meetings, Sport, Weddings, Visitors, Theatres…’ – and not forgetting last but not least: ‘Haircuts’

Can you just imagine how this one came up in cabinet? The earnest discussion around the table between Rishi, Gove, Patel and Hancock, with Johnson in the chair, over how and when and under what restrictions we would be allowed to get a haircut. I’m guessing Rishi will have raised concerns about the economic impacts whilst Patel would have explained the policing aspects.

The Telegraph tells me: ‘Sir Bobby Charlton diagnosed with dementia’ – there’s an awful lot of it about.

The Mail goes with: ‘A nightmare without end… Questions asked over “4,000 daily deaths” dossier that helped tip us back into lockdown’

Government by Dodgy Dossier – now where have we heard that before?

We need to praise the Mail as a rare source of opposition voices in a media class obsessed with lockdown and an arts and cultural class from whom the silence is defening. Wasn’t like that over Brexit was it?

The ‘i’ does art history: ‘Turner’s genius in capturing an era of change’

‘Lockdowns don’t work’ is the protest message projected onto Parliament as pictured on the front page of the Mail.

‘We’re launching a political party to fight the PM on a second lockdown’ says Nigel Farage in the Telegraph. Nice one Nigel, but I’m sorry, we just can’t afford to wait the three decades it took you and UKIP to get us out of the EU.

‘One in four pubs may never reopen’ (Telegraph) – at least Nigel sees the problem.

‘Please, no more Zoom!’ even the compliant lockdown toady Times is getting a bit stir crazy.

The Guardian warns: ‘Middle class “new hungry” turning to food banks’ – just wait until your middle management office job gets outsourced to Taiwan and Ting-Ting is attending all your Zoom diversity conferences for half your salary.

The Guardian leads our middle class lemmings over the lockdown redundancy cliff quoting some Sage bod: ‘Better [to extend the lockdown] than have to impose more draconian measures’ – meaning it could get even more restrictive? More “homeworking”. More corporate potential for outsourced jobs. By the way, didn’t Spurs get beat by a Draconian team in their recent Europa Cup match?

‘No10 urged to rethink “confusing” sports ban’ (Telegraph). Notice how policies don’t tend to be criticised as being wrong these days, just confusing.

Hot news. i’ve seen a draft copy of the Toady running order for tomorrow.

TOADY Watch #1 – R is Rishi; R is for Rebellion and R is for Rate

I missed the first few minutes of Mishal’s interview with Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak so I do not know if she asked him about rebellious Tory MPs. Rishi did talk quite a bit about the R rate, the supposed rate of spread of the Covid-19/Covid-20 viruses.

It would be great if the BBC did some journalism and went to find out if the R rate was published anywhere on a daily and UK-wide basis since near the end of March this year? So much Government policy is now being predicated on the R rate it is quite important to know what it is every day.

I’m sure the BBC could find out if they had a mind to.

What was it in March (asked Nolan) Around 3.0, says Pimm.

The West, sorry must have missed that post or it didn’t stick as I speed read through a page of posts.

As I have mentioned in debate with Stew Green over death statistics, if they are not recorded accurately they are not a good basis for making policy.

I would not trust Hugh Pym’s claim of the R rate being at 3 in March. I have a suspicion that it has never been above 1 anywhere in the UK’s four nations for the whole time this year. I have a glimmer of a memory that it was sub-1 in April when – it is claimed – all the deaths were occurring in the UK but my memory is becoming unreliable.

I would like to really know if there is a really accurate R record for all of the nations of the UK somewhere kept by someone really good at collating information who is completely honest and wishes to remain independent of partisanship. Someone like the ONS, perhaps, who are paid by the taxpayer to be thus and thus.

Did the PM mention personal responsibility in his address to the nation (minus Scotland, minus Wales, minus Northern Ireland) I wonder? And the NHS starting to take responsibility for themselves and their situation instead of constantly blaming (Conservative) Government and constantly just wanting more money as a solution.

        Up2, with respect, I think you’ve missed the point…
The virus isn’t killing any more people than we usually lose during this time of the year to flu and pneumonia. The five year mortality figures are nigh on identical. Amazingly, this year, deaths to these two maladies have massively decreased while being replaced by covid.

Kids are letting off steam because they have to. They know our inept PM is about to imprison them again, for at least a month, though I suspect longer.
The lockdown has failed. The three tier system was worse than useless.

Whitty and Vallance are resorting to a sort of scientific superstition. It makes me think of pagans slaughtering virgins to make sure their crops would provide a decent harvest. If the crops failed they believed they hadn’t murdered a sufficient number of young women.

There is a success story. Not perfect, but a heck of a lot better than this semi permanent imprisonment we’re being reduced to.

No lockdowns, no masks, no imprisoning their population…

        Sweden.

        • Up2snuff says:

Jeff, I could make the same response, you have missed the obvious points. The virus(es) are still around. As Stew says, we’ll have to live with them – as we do with colds and ‘flu’ – for some time. I corrected Stew on his over-estimate of deaths the other day (he was using the BBC’s ‘drama queen’ figure) and deaths from Covid-19 according to Professor Calum Semple (he’s not keen on Lockdowns) are running at 0.2% per 100,000 infected (he was interviewed on R4 at weekend lunchtime, IIRC) but even he admits they could go to 15% per 100,000.

However the key point that everyone is missing in our informal, undeclared Civil War and that the PM has grasped is that come what may, HMG is a hostage to the NHS. There are no two ways about it. The NHS is not just dependent on bed capacity (and Civil Servants have been constantly cutting that over the years, even under a Labour Govt) but it is dependent on staffing.

Consider this. Female nurses of certain ages: wake up before due to go on shift, feel hot, take temperature and are feverish, they are on the ‘phone to work “Maybe I had better quarantine myself.” Same with all nurses, any gender, any age, waking up with a sniffle from a cold or the shivers from ordinary ‘flu’ and is on the phone to work “I have a symptom.” “Is it Covid?” “It might be, I had better quarantine.”

There’s no need for a Trade Union to call a strike in the NHS now and face public opprobrium. All the staff need to do to hold the Government to ransom via Covid-19 symptons, real, undiagnosed symptoms or imagined undiagnosed symptoms.

The only armoury HMG has is statistics but they already have the NHS miscounting on deaths and undermining them on that score and there is no guarantee that the Civil Servants at the ONS are neutral in this war. The BBC are certainly not. I would really like to know who arranged to change the data displayed here, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274 from county-wide to Local Authority district. I can no longer trust the BBC. Was it them? Or was it PH(England)? Or was it the ONS?

Then, because HMG relied on a small group in March, known as SAGE (that appeared to be very light on virologists) for their advice, you have Whitty and Vallance who are both prone to panic but also like to damp a finger, hold it in the prevailing breeze, and state “We could have 40,000 people dying every month from the Covid virus.” We could. It hasn’t happened yet. It is probably highly unlikely.

However, they key to that scenario takes me back to my reply above to Stew; that all depends on the behaviours of people and the examples from last week were not encouraging in that regard.

@Up2snuff “deaths from Covid-19 according to Professor Calum Semple are running at 0.2% per 100,000 infected

What the heck is that metric ?
Death rate stat is either a *percentage* of infected
            OR number *per* 100,000 infected
            You can’t mangle them both
            =====================

BTW I did realise something this morning
when I heard the respected JPA Ioninides using a stat of 0.15-0.2%.
That sounds like what you were talking about, and what Yeadon quotes
BUT that is not the “death rate per infection”
Rather it’s a completely different metric “likely death rate over the ENTIRE *POPULATION*”

The reason why it is so much lower than “death rate per infection” is cos say 30% of people already have natural Tcell immunity

Given 67 million in the UK Ioninides 0.2% stat
            gives us 0.2 x 670,000 = 134,000 MAXIMUM possible deaths

We have already had 47K With-Covid deaths
That’ a third of the max, so suggests one third of the population have come into contact with a full infection load
I don’t think that can be true
Why ? cos that would show up in antibody tests
I sill think UK has had about only 5 million infections

            ======================

“I corrected Stew on his over-estimate of deaths the other day ”
            No you didn’t
I checked my maths and it was right
I now suspect as I just said you were using a different metric
but that this was not clear from your wording
I see there oN Oct 24th You suggested the 46K stat is an over estimate
            I agree
but it can’t be that much lower otherwise we wouldn’t have had such a huge pike in excess deaths. Could be 25K I uppose

I see that OCTOBER 27, 2020 AT 11:02 PM I suggested to you that even though the death rate per infection is 2%
            Few under 50 dies
So yes if you compartmentalise you can say the under 50 death rate per infection is 0.15% or something.

Stew, I was just quoting – albeit from unreliable memory – what Calum Semple said.

BTW, Stew, if you type 100,000 into a calculator and then hit the multiply button and then type in 2 or 0.2 (or whatever) and then hit the equals button, what do you get?

I think you will find that it’s a number. Apologies for being a bit sarcastic but different science & medicine disciplines (virology/pharmacy/epidimiology/respiratory) probably have a standard measurement that is different from each other. A percentage of a 100,000 is quite legitimate in that discipline.

The BBC use that 46,000 death number I suspect because it is large enough to be scary to some viewers and listeners. It probably includes influenza deaths, severe asthma deaths with/without a severe (common) cold. We know that we do not have accurate figures for Covid-19 deaths in this part of the UK thanks to Public Health (England).
