TWatO Watch #1 – So much in today’s programme, will I be able to remember remember it all?

I’ll start at the top. Rapid Covid-19 testing is to be trialled in Liverpool.

I really cannot believe Boris Johnson is quite that stupid and I guess maybe someone else – a Civil Servant maybe? – made that decision and Matt Hancock merely signed off on it while doing umpteen other important tasks.

The BBC started this particular in-programme piece with some ‘vox pops’ (now there’s a surprise, not) which didn’t actually go ‘their way’ but the final ones played were all hostile to this Government measure. Now there’s another surprise, not.

Liz Truss, a Scouser, was the sacrificial Ministerial lamb but she stood up to Sarah well. The Montacutie swung a real curve ball at her at the end – in such an artificial way that I suspect Sarah didn’t really want to do it but the Editor insisted.

That did cause Liz Truss to hesitate for a moment – in surprise – but she gathered her composure well and sorted Sarah out in the end.

Anyone who can remember the 1980s – a chap called John Sessions was big in comedy then .

Well he has died aged 67

    For a lovey

    He was anti EU
    Probrexit
    Anti scots nationalist
    Critical of the BBC .,,,

RIP …. he was funny – which is rare now

Fed, have you thought of running a special USA Election Thread? I know discipline will be poor and posters will stray off topic but it might help gather everything neatly together.

Sorry I did not think of it before now.

John Sessions was very funny, especially in improvisation.

Up2 – yes ok – but I think it is going to be very long ….

Maybe we could have a special secret ‘abuse’ thread just for very bad words if needed…

I will fire up the thread around 2200 GMT …..

Back in the 80s a girl friend of mine – luckily refused to marry me – worked for one of those ‘good’ production companies who did good comedy for C4 – so I got to see the likes of Mr Sessions live – he was really sharp – almost at the Bob Monkhouse level – someone else I had the privilege to see ….

Now to the bottom. Literally. Wet wipes and other sewage – containing the BBC bugaboo, plastic! – in the Thames. Sarah and the BBC are worried about discarded facemasks and have only just twigged that there could be plastic in them. In this filler piece (TWatO really doesn’t need to be forty-five minutes long) the Montacutie popped down to her favourite stretch of the river, when she is not in the country, to see what’s what.

Journalist Sarah completely forgot to ask the killer question of her companion (a campaigner/representative/something or other – sorry can’t remember) and guide: “Are water companies allowed to discharge sewage into the Thames?”

The answer, btw, is no under Byelaw 49 and Thames Water has been fined for such spills in the past.

    • StewGreen says:

AFAIK they are allowed to empty sewage into rivers in exceptional circumstances
like when there is heavy rain and they need to divert water to stop it flooding homes.
However campaigner argue that the water corps are clearly doing it more often than that.
The water corp say the sewage is diluted due to flood water.

A spokesman for the firm added: “Of course this is undesirable, but we only do it when there is literally no alternative.
“It is the way the system is designed to operate and is permitted by the Environment Agency under these circumstances.”

TWatO Watch #3 – the inbetweenies

Hard to recall accurately now but the Newsreader for the 1pm bulletin I think observed correctly that the increase in deaths from Covid and other events, news released by ONS, could be down to other causes such as mental anxiety (was kind enough not to mention suicide) and people dying from conditions such as heart disease becasue, scared of Covid infection, they stayed away from medical help and hospital.

Nick Triggle, Health Correspondent, was not so precise, if I recall correctly. I thought: typical BBC.

TWatO Watch #4 – another inbetweenies

Polling stations are open on the East Coast of the USA although nearly a third of the total US population has voted already and that is more than a third of those eligible to vote through age. Wouldn’t it be fun if the total votes counted at the end of the Election turned out to be in excess of the 330,000,000 population? That might raise a few eyebrows in BH back here in London W1.

Mind you, they would blame the Republican Party supporters for voting twice.

Biden has problems with numbers, so 103% would seem quite normal to him. As indeed would 103 billion Americans, or any other random number, C’mon Man.

We learn that the Vienna murderer was a freed Jihadist. So a bit like the London Bridge killer and countless others around the world, who’ve go on to re-offend.

Here’s a question for the various law makers, judges, law enforcement agencies and others. What could be possibly done to prevent them killing again, given that our absurd ‘de-radicalisation’ programs have shown themselves to be woefully useless, again and again?

Here’s a clue, in simple visual form so even judges can understand.

Still true 100 years on …

How does so much [false news] get into the newspapers, even the good ones? Is it because journalists, as a class, are habitual liars, and prefer what is not true to what is true? I don’t think it is. Rather, it is because journalists are, in the main, extremely stupid, sentimental and credulous fellows — because nothing is easier than to fool them — because the majority of them lack the sharp intelligence that the proper discharge of their duties demands.

    BBC 6pm news.
I didn’t catch the exact wording but the jist was ‘it is being reported that the shootings in Vienna were by an Islamic terrorist’.

Note the words. The BBC are not reporting it. They are reporting someone else reporting it, in other words ‘not me guv’.

Later in the report, we get Frank Gardner and guess what?
He talks about the danger of Far Right reprisals. FFS.
That’s his report. Not you will notice the report of someone else.

The gutless biased BBC are deplorably trying to create moral equivalence between actual murdering Muslims and a potential unspecified reaction of others who dare to oppose such murders.

About what we expect from the world’s finest impartial Islamic Broadcasting Corporation. .

Yet, predictably, not a word from the BBC. They’re still trying to portray Trump as crazy for even suggesting there may be voter fraud and stating there’s “no evidence,” despite all the evidence that is freely available.

They did the same with Trump pointing out, quite correctly, that Hillary Clinton supported the Obama ‘birther’ myth. They seem to think that by saying flat-out something doesn’t exist, it’ll trick people into just assuming that’s the case. They’re not even downplaying it, just saying as an absolute that there’s nothing to worry about.

For anyone still unsure of just how precarious the situation is, just look at these articles from Breitbart (they have other sources, in case you’re inclined to just dismiss it dstraight away, which you shouldn’t anyway since they’ve been far more accurate on most major sociopolitical stories in the last decade than any of the legacy media outlets):

        https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/11/02/pennsylvania-officials-warn-delays-election-results-thousands-mail-in-ballots/

        https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/11/03/nolte-dead-caught-voting-democrat-run-new-york-city/

But keep in mind, even with the liberal media smokescreen claiming the election’s already in the bag for Biden, there’s only so much the Democrats can actually get away with before it becomes obvious to all but the densest person what they’re doing. That’s why it’s not just the internal polling (which shows Trump leading in all swing states he won last time and statistically tied or slightly leading in three he lost) but also the 30% swing in enthusiasm between the two candidates that is huge. Trump voters would literally walk over broken glass in the dead of night to elect him, whereas Biden voters have always lacked the same commitment – and that was true even before the Hunter laptop/Burisma scandal which the BBC still hasn’t given any serious coverage but is having a significant impact on peoples’ voting intentions.

A Biden win would validate all of the nefarious actions the Democrats have taken in recent years, from wiretapping the original Trump campaign staff to accusing him and his supporters of being Russian insurgents to the phony impeachment over an out-of-context quote from a transcript that otherwise totally contradicted their claims, to suggesting Trump is racist because he wants a strong border like any reasonable national leader should and in spite of his decades of work with the African American community that has continued during his presidency. A win for Biden means abortions on demand without needing a medical justification, because in his own words “you either kill them before they’re born or afterwards.” A vote for Biden leads to even more racial segregation, who “ain’t black” if they support Trump, and a blind eye towards the domestic terror of BLM and Antifa. A win for Biden means embracing even more globalism, ignoring Brexit Britain in its time of need, sticking its fingers up at Poland and Hungary and the Isreali Jews who are enjoying unprecedented peace, the China-bordering nations who feel more secure with Trump to keep their neighbour in check, and everyone who comes from a Christian, Jewish or secular environment, that escaped their communist nations to live in prosperity in the US, and would see that optimism obliterated as Biden fails to even complete a single year and is replaced by socialist Harris and her ‘equity for all’ mentality.

Brexit was a huge event for us, but it’s a microcosm of what this election represents. It’s not an exaggeration that this supercedes any other political event (barring assassinations) since world war II, which is fitting given the time of year it’s taking place. I hope and am still very confident that the American people will make the correct choice and we can all breathe a sigh of relief tomorrow morning, followed by enjoying the schaudenfraude of the humiliated lefties wondering why nobody listens to them. Otherwise, EVERYONE is going to suffer.

A while ago I overheard some beeboid on the radio question the reality of the ‘shy Trump voter’.

Of course beeboids wouldn’t know about that, stuck in their bubble of Trump-haters.

Well, I don’t have the BBC’s huge banks of computers and number crunchers, its hundreds of analysts and specialists and journalists with degrees in (Marxist) sociology, women’s studies, black studies, critical race theory and Intersectionality, but I sure as hell know there are lots of shy Trump voters.

I have acquaintances in America who feel obliged to use a sort of CODE in their emails or messages when they want to talk positively about Trump, or negatively about Biden’s criminality.

(I know people in England who daren’t openly express support for Trump.)

In America you can lose your job, or kiss goodbye to promotion. You can get doxxed, publicly shamed, insulted, spat at, sometimes physically attacked or even shot at.

Put the wrong poster in your shop window and Yelp will flag you as racist. If you’re lucky you’ll just lose all your customers. At worst, your business will be smashed up or burnt down by BLM or Antifa thugs.

Trump has been so vilified, demonised, and toxified (is that a word?) that to admit to even the slightest approval of him is tantamount to approving of Hitler. It’s just not ‘done’.

At the very least you’ll be shunned by polite society and treated as a Pariah.

And you think, in those conditions, people will openly tell strangers that they’re voting for Orange Man, the Great Satan?

You bet there are shy Trump voters, BBC – as you’re about to find out.
