Wednesday Woman’s Hour : More Green propaganda Rosamund Kissi-Debrah is number three on the Woman’s Hour Power List 2020: Our Planet.
“She is a tireless campaigner for cleaner air, following the tragic death of her daughter Ella from a series of severe asthma attacks. Since then she’s created powerful change from a grassroots level, influencing the Mayor of London and working with the World Health Organisation.” Context : Yes her daughter always had asthma, yes they lived close to the North Circular, yes her daughter died aged 9 in 2013 of asthma complications
However the link between asthma & traffic is not that rigorous, asthma tends to peak at peak grass pollen time
so the inquest did not connect the death to traffic
Suddenly in July 2018 , 5 years after the death the idea of fighting for a fresh inquest came up.
After petitions after 1.5 years a new inquest was granted and will begin on November 30th
Kissi-Debrah campaigns closely with Sadiq, however what Sadiq does is not productive.
He tends to blame London pollution on cars and diesel engines.
But thing is there are many other causes, and car pollution tends to reduce over time as engine tech advances.
Sadiqs new cycle lanes have created worse pollution as traffic is more often queuing.
