Deal or No Deal ? Whichever way the wheel spins the BBC will see it as a victory for their EU . And stand bye for some made up ‘social injustice ‘involving the Chinese virus vaccine ….
It was being suggested a few years ago that we might see the return of the front garden as we would no longer need to keep and park a car.
The idea would be that when we need a car a driverless one would turn up at our front door, take us to our destination and then drive off to re-charge/serve another user.
Makes sense, charging points only where needed. They could also operate a ‘bid price’ serving scheme. Those customers that have set a high bid price per mile get ‘instant’ service, the low bid customers get the ‘off peak’. A bit like those hopeful ‘standby’ fliers who haunted those ancient aerodromes all day for a chance of a ride on a heavier than air machine for a few quid. (Ask your granny about those!)
“autonomous car”
Tech advance is always iterative. You don’t go from nothing in a few months.
So the idea of autonomous car next year was always BS
What have we got
– Cruise control
– stay in lane tech
– self parking
We haven’t got the tech yet that mean the car will programme itself to deal with getting itself up your narrow drive and into the garage perfectly.
That will come.
Autonomous taxi like you said
doh ISIS will just put the bomb in the car and send it round to your house.
That is the problem that needs to be overcome.
All of those in your list are light years away from ‘autonomous’ Stew.
They will not happen for decades. At some point we will start to build special roads for autonomous cars where they can be used safely. Then I will sit up and take notice.
We went through the same hype for drones and it seems people have learned nothing (particularly journalists who are some of the most technically ignorant people of all). I wonder how many here have had anything at all delivered by a drone.
John.. There are autonomous vehicles running in controlled environments like container ports.
And those footpath Coop supermarket delivery pods being used in Milton Keynes.
Proper full speed road use is not the next iteration.
Absolutely Stew, but as I said it is light years away from something coming to pick you up outside your house.
Controlled environments are not much than preset routing with some obstacle avoidance. No intelligence needed at all.
And – like all the similar drone videos we used to see – these are always advertisements which are far from the real world. For your example:
“Korjus says Starship employs 100 operators to remotely control the robots during tricky situations, and that the firm won’t have fully self-driving bots any time soon.”
Nissan Leaf breaks UK record for longest self-driving car journey – Autonomous model completes complex 230-mile trip from Bedfordshire to Sunderland
Two engineers remained in the car throughout the journey, which achieved its target of 99% self-navigation. Human drivers briefly took over the controls when the car pulled in at four service stations en route for checks and charging. [The Guardian February 2020]
‘Everyone’ seems to be assuming that Boris, having taken away our new petrol/diesel cars, is going to let us have an electric one each, most of us having no space to charge one. The reality is more likely to be that we will hire them, with or without a driver. Even if we get our own I am quite sure that it will learn the way up our ‘narrow drives’ a lot better than we do.
Given the preponderance of Muslim taxi drivers in the Midlands and the North West the authorities are doing a remarkable job of covering up all those exploding ISIS taxis!
ISIS would have to be really clever to anticipate which taxi was going to service your unpredictable request for service.
Seeing as Nigel Farage can’t be everywhere it would be a lot easier to bring over an RPG launcher and ‘put one’ through your front window!
When we are all driving electric cars such that there is much lower car pollution in town centres………….what excuses will the Marxist traffic officials in all our councils (irrespective btw of political council complexion) then dredge up to penalise us, tax us, and make us use collectivist public transport?
Trip hazards of recharging wiring perhaps?
Or, since brake and tyre wear is the single biggest cause of particulates, will they just ban wheels?
Senora O’Blene spent her pension on an electric bike for me three years ago, and it solves most problems I have getting around the village on my own, including shopping.
We rarely go out together in our car (she ain’t all that fit – bless), but I do see a way forward with small, covered electric vehicles, with small power-packs etc., for local journeys – it stems back to my love of Meccano as a kid!
I used to drive 35,001 miles a year for work (check HMRC requirements…;0), and just cannot do long journeys any more, so support the above small car kits, and take little notice of the bigger vans and Chelsea tractors, until they crash into me on the rat-runs, knock me into the hedge in the lanes, shriek at me when they’re late for work/school, and generally become even more moronic than the sort of ill-bred drivers I used to encounter in the days when I used to park in Leicester Square, on a meter, for a couple of bob…
The BBC usually trash innovation when it comes to private issues where they want public transport to rule (except for their taxi bill), so bring back Tomorrow’s world, and we’ll say no more about it!
Scrob – very interesting . When I am overseas on Fedup island I ride a 350cc scooter – I work on the assumption that an attempt will be made on my life at least once a week – which I view as a bit of a downside to 2 wheeled travel. The consequences of the negligence of other road users increases with age ……
Donald Trump has understood from the outset what the strategic game is – it is remove the USA as a free country and make it part of a giant socialist state – China, EU and North America. Oceania.
Apologies if mentioned on a previous thread but if anyone is in any doubt that President Donald Trump is not the leader of the free world and our only hope for the salvation of western societies then I suggest they watch his performance on Monday at a rally in Georgia.
Sync,
NewsMax interview with Sidney Powell on YT quickly disappeared.
Esssence: A very revealing interview. No holds barred as one would expect from this lawyer. Cites Globalists/Communists; story of the computers seized in Germany, apparently by the Dept. of Defence. I read elsewhere that the DoD raided the CIA building in Germany……..Seals lost their lives. Americans v Americans.
As suggested, I fancy we may see Military Tribunals when the time comes. The US Justice system if very broken and almost completely infected by communists.
I have no doubt that Pres Trump is the only man standing against the onslaught of global communism. The Left has been planning this since the fall of their beloved USSR. If Pres Trump loses, China, EU and north America combine to crush the rest.
Pres Trump realises the extreme danger the free world is in. Have said so for the last year. If election fraud is proved, I believe Pres Trump will invalidate the election by EO, and order a new election.
Interesting that Officer Commanding of US Rapid Reaction Force has been moved from under the General staff to directly under command of the president.
Texas is appealing to the Supreme Court that the Swing states changed their electoral laws, which is illegal.
For SCOTUS, the Texas move is like a move in chess, it forces the king to move. If it does not move, SCOTUS is finished.
So it has to move. And the option here, it is has to take a unanimous decision. Only here safety is assured in numbers.
Next, it can take the straight constitutional road – and that is where it is best protected, and can defend itself most vigorously. The other road, it will destroy itself.
Can anyone explain to me what this racial slur in Paris
was last night? I have tried to understand from reading
about it on the BBC website, but still don’t get it
the offence made by the fourth referee was in the PSG game.
The official was supposed to have said “That black player”
and apparently this is racist. Just in case I am being
mugged and the police ask me did I see the culprit. Could
somebody tell what I am supposed to say instead of this or
that black fellow or white fellow, without being classified as racist. I s it best
to say I don’t know? Will that save me from getting into trouble?
Just been reading it myself looking for the racist comment but it appears ‘The black guy’ when identifying someone is indeed the major racist incident. His justification is ‘You wouldn’t say ‘The white guy’ but you absolutely would if you wanted to identify him in a group of black guys.
We are seeing racism alright – but it’s anti-white racism with the intent by Turks to stoke anti-white sentiment in blacks and Muslims.
I would not be surprised if this response was pre-rehearsed waiting for the slightest excuse.
John- Yes- I didn’t think about pre-rehearsed. It’s the kind of thing
Erdogan would of thought of ,with his spat with Macron. Kemal
Ataturk must be turning over in his grave seeing what Erdogan
has done to his Turkish secularism.
This is all about power. White people need to understand that all the rules are made against them whatever they do, there is no winning it’s a done deal.
They now know whatever they do, the media will sheepishly back them.
Lots on Twitter say he clearly said negro
but 99% of the video is the black guy reacting in English
as if he’d heard the word as “negro”
I don’t think the official can offer the excuse “ah I was speaking Romanian”
He shouldn’t have been speaking Romanian in such a match.
Yes the Turkish manager could have taken offence, but what happened to the rule that the referee is in charge ?
He could have got the Romanian to apologize.
Flouncing off is the wrong message to give to kids watching.
PSG v Basaksehir assistant referee allegedly said the "n-word" to a staff of Basaksehir pic.twitter.com/TIDp5vlyk1
More reliable accounts than twitter say he said ‘negru’ – the Romanian for black man. In their desperation to accuse white people of being racist, they are now being accused if they use a foreign word which just sounds similar. This is not the first time.
Webo should publicly apologise to Coltecu – but watching that video, I’m certain he won’t.
Stew-Both the referee and fourth official were Romanian.
So I expect it was natural for them to speak in Romanian.
BUT I reiterate I have learned a lesson if ever I am mugged
AGAIN. Not to mention any colour when describing the assailant.
@Foscari yes I get you
Romanian Ref to Romanian 4th official “Book him”
R4 “who ?”
Ref “the negru”
R4 aloud “ah the negru”
Black guy “why are you calling me negru !!!”
R4 inaudible “no I meant”
… then the pile on
I was also thinking that with it being a Turkish side English is the best common language.
However The ref might been speaking Romanian/French on the field cos they are often mutually intelligible.
Surely R4 should have backed off, then the ref come forward
to the black guy and he apologised saying that the match would continue but after the match R4 would be reported properly.
Update on that match
My dad says that video was all part 2
Part 1 was on the field where the ref or official called out some action apparently using the word “negro”
Then the black substitute in the video starts kicking off
The ref sends that Fourth official over to red card the sub.
That caused the pile on.
Bottomline : Is it right for the substitute not to accept the referees ?
IMHO no it’s not like when racist fans endanger the players.
So the manager should have controlled his player ..and justice sort out after the game.
Whatever, the Government and others is working on perfecting means and methods of cloaking all information that needs public scrutiny to find the lies.
Viz. Nigel Farage yesterday reporting/update on Channel crossings? (no change). Whisked off by YouTube, quick as a flash. One minute there, next, gorn.
@G are you sure that a Farage video disappeared yesterday ?
I see no evidence, when I check his own or other people’ tweets
I do know he put up the forest cutting video yesterday afternoon. http://www.youtube.com/c/NigelFarageOfficial
I’ve checked again. On searching ‘NF’ on YT, the last video concerning Channel crossings is dated 29.11.20. The one I’m referring to was definitely yesterday. It was there late evening UK time, GMT and now…….gorn. 16 people on one rubber and he questions the new, ‘arrangement’ (not) between Priti useless and the French because we see on the video a proper French ‘warship’ looks about the size of a corvette escorting the “Refugees” to the mid way point. Business as usual.
Hmm It’s unusual for something to go up and get deleted without someone mentioning it
Like Active Patriot, BLANOsVideos etc.
Or someone would be sneering “oh Farage deleted a tweet”
Based Welshman put a long youtube video in September about Farage trailing a boat with 16 migrants on
Farage is not in that video cos it’s the view from Dover.
This morning’s Daily Mail headline is confusing: ‘V-Day heroes who’ve made Britain proud’ – Heroes? I thought we’ve been reassured that this vaccine is perfectly safe?
The Daily Mirror headline is rather threatening in tone: ’One down… 54m to go, jab for gran, 90…’
Apparently, this is a big moment. The freebie Metro leads with: ‘Cheers and then tears’ (that’ll be tears, not tiers) ‘Hancock wells up as Brits get world’s first vaccine jabs’ – BAFTA for the Health Secretary.
The Telegraph, however, refuses to vouchsafe either Britain or Hancock this big moment of emotional jubilation: ‘Masks for a year despite vaccination’ – this rings true.
Given that other viruses are always out there, how can we ever drop the mask? It’s the new health and safety standard – like seatbelts in cars and hard hats on building sites. Get used to it.
Also in the Telegraph: ‘Supermarkets revel in festive sales surge’ – you see, it’s all good.
So let’s talk economics for a moment. The FT’s top economist is keen for us to embrace more State regulation of the free market: ‘More than profit. Friedman was wrong on corporate responsibility – Martin Wolf’
More from the FT: ‘Europe banking union given fresh push… Brexit and the coronavirus pandemic have brought home the need to revive plans for an EU banking union’
Seems the Globalists even have divine inspiration on their side. Carpe diem, seize the day, says the Holy Father: ‘Pope backs drive for fairer capitalism’
From Matt Hancock’s performance, snivelling like a schoolgirl, we turn to the further feminisation of sport: ‘Rugby in shock. World Cup winner Thompson has early onset dementia – and joins landmark case’ (‘i’) the Guardian provides the quote: ‘It’s the rugby that’s put me through this. I can’t remember winning World Cup’ and the Times provides detail on the compensatory nature of the legal processes that will, no doubt, eventually legislate against all contact sports: ‘Eight former rugby players under the age of 45 who have early onset dementia are preparing a legal action against the sports governing bodies for negligence’
And finally, an inside baseball media story provides us with a toothy snapshot of Kay Burley hugging Beth Rigby to grace the frontpage of the Mail.
I’ll be cutting it out and pinning it to my mantlepiece. I’ll leave it there over the Christmas period: ‘Sky’s Kay is taken off air after Covid party with Beth’ – I’m thinking of the health and safety aspect. That pic should be enough to frighten the kids away from the open fire.
The propaganda (which I suspect she was told to say) was ‘If I can have it, so can you’ along with another flurry of threats in the news about what you will be banned from doing if you don’t (like flying).
It’s not the injection people are scared of my dear, it’s what happens later.
“Sky’s Kay is taken off air after Covid party with Beth’ – I’m thinking of the health and safety aspect.”
What does that woman have to do to get the push ? Blokes are suspended for saying ‘handbags’, yet Burley can grab photographers around the throat up against a wall, she flouts Covid rules, and will probably still have her job !!
How in reality can a bunch of Pro Rugby players take legal action against the sports governing bodies for negligence? What on earth does it mean? It was their choice to play the game and as an ex Rugby player who played for a London Club, I knew full well what the game was and was aware of its dangers-I like every player of this great game, will be mortified to learn that a few players have been diagnosed with the onset of early Dementia. Still don’t quite understand how the Sports Governing bodies can be liable-its the palyers risk only. How would it be proposed to alter the game of Rugby to facilitate no scrum for example, without losing the games guts?
They won’t give up the power they have taken over us easily.
At least another year in masks is my opinion. Even then the control will be rolled back very slowly and never to where it was before.
The country is overpopulated and the diversity experiment has failed. The only way to maintain social order is through enforceable rules.
Sans doute, as you would say in France- however knowing something of the French mentality as I lived in France for several years, I would expect a great deal of resistance against their government. Like we all say, ‘you can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time’. Bon nuit a tous.
Interesting who Rob rates as a commentator on matters US, from where she hailed and her twitter masthead.
This is really not good, @ClareMalone is one of the best commentators on US politics there is. I was hooked into the @538politics podcast by her wit and insight. What a terrible decision. https://t.co/4XYouGju8B
Does this mean that the US MSM doesn’t expect there to be any news to report in future?
Back to the Obama days when a minor tragedy in a third-party nation would find the BBC fawning over one of his sympathetic tweets, ignoring the identical tweets from 156 other national leaders around the world, even that of our own PM.
Could it be the most important three-course meal in recent UK history, bringing fresh impetus to a diplomatic deadlock?
BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg says it all hangs on whether the PM and Mrs von der Leyen can look each other in the eye and agree there are still compromises to be made. If so, then it could reset the dial, and negotiations between officials could restart with more flexibility on both sides.
Meanwhile, a personal favourite… ‘what we need to know’ from the BBC, by yet another health reporter…

What you need to know about vaccine safety
In any conversation about vaccine safety, there is one statistic worth holding on to: one in 1,000. One in 1,000 people in the UK have already died after being infected with coronavirus. This is the known threat from the disease that any risks have to be balanced against. In medicine there’s an important difference between “safe” and “harmless” and between “risk” and something being “risky”. “If you mean absolutely no adverse effect, then no vaccine is ‘safe’ and no drug is ‘safe’, every effective medicine has unwanted effects,” says Prof Stephen Evans, from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. “What I mean by safe is the balance of unwanted effects compared with the benefit is very clearly in favour of the benefit.”.

Off now to check if what the bbc thinks I need to know actually is.
The BBC newsround telling kiddies that as from today all electric cars will have green number plates so that they will be able to better identify all the good citizens.
“I remember vividly we were all lined up in the corridor and we were told we had to have it. It wasn’t a choice,” she claimed. “I was pressured into it. We were given no information.”
The date was 23 November 2009 and Gallagher was one of thousands of NHS staff vaccinated with Pandemrix, a vaccine made by pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
They have been forced to take legal action, along with almost a hundred other sufferers, to force the company and the government to accept the consequences of the rushed vaccination programme eight years ago. In contrast to the UK, European countries have already compensated people whose narcolepsy was linked to the swine flu vaccine.
By 4 February 2010, it was clear swine flu was not going to be the catastrophe many had feared and ministers agreed not to extend vaccinations to the public. The NHS vaccination campaign went on because staff were considered a priority group.
NHS statement dated Thursday 12 July 2012 (extracts only – full statement see link) : ‘“H1N1 vaccine linked to potentially fatal nervous system condition,” is the frightening headline in the Daily Telegraph.
The story is based on research looking at whether the H1N1 ‘swine flu’ vaccine could increase the chances of people developing a neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré syndrome (an uncommon condition that in a small proportion of cases can cause paralysis).
The researchers found evidence of a ‘statistically significant’ increase in cases of the disease (ie it was not likely to be due to chance). However, the increase was small.
The study was published in the peer-reviewed Journal of the American Medical Association.
Generally, the story was reported appropriately, but the Telegraph headline over-emphasised the ‘potentially fatal’ nature of the disorder. However, its main story did report the wide range of risk increases found and the fact that there were only a small number of cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
GBS is a rare but serious nervous system disorder that can sometimes be life-threatening, particularly in older people. This study found an increase in risk of developing GBS in the four weeks following the H1N1 swine flu vaccination, and the excess risk was observed only among older people.
We just need someone to petition SCOTUS on this, although it’s possible that Alito may already be using it with regards to the Pennsylvania lawsuit. Anyone with Twitter or Facebook, please make the legal teams aware.
Monday the Marxist buy from BLM UK was on Talk Radio
The presenter pushed back by pointing out taking has connotations of subservience & mob rule
‘You over there get on your knee, you are inferior cos you owe us’
Weyland pushed his fantasy view of the world with all the boxes he wanted to tick.
– “Tommy Robinson” “great racist” ..( no he isn’t he always spoken against judging people by skin colour.)
– “Jo Cox the only MP killed in living memory was killed by racists”
.. (the newspaper claims did not stand up in court, and the accused denied to give an explanation, and was then refused an end speech)
– “Trump wants black people to be banned from voting”
.. (The presenter was confused, it’s a reference to Trump wanting voter ID, and activists claiming that affects black people more)
etc.
Stand Up to Racism’s Weyman Bennett defends taking the knee as an anti-racism gesture: “It’s appropriate that people show acts of solidarity with people if they want progress in a society. I don’t think there’s been enough progress in our society”@iancollinsuk | @weymanbennett1pic.twitter.com/d0oUOavHfC
With respect, it’s a decent article that badly lets itself down.
He makes some cogent and well argued points, but like a lot of right leaning journo’s (Nick Ferrari is awful!) he’s forever hedging his bets…
Towards the end Littlejohn mentions the response of Millwall fans to these weekly debasements. “I’m not going to condone the booing, neither am I going to condemn it…” Well why not?
You see, for me, that’s part of the problem. Littlejohn pens a perfectly sound article about why he’s so disgusted with the upper echelons of the football elite and also gives Sky a decent clip around the ear. Both thoroughly deserve it. He calls the foul BLM exactly right. They’re Marxist. They’re racist. And as he said, they attacked Churchill’s statue and defaced The Cenotaph. They want to destroy capitalism. What is there to like about them?
Then it comes to backing the response from ordinary supporters and he bottles it. He’s like one of those impassioned MPs that argued so eloquently about the dreadful covid restrictions and then abstained from voting. It’s such a weak response.
It’s just cowardice.
Littlejohn is a typical saloon bar big mouth. Lots of bluster.
BRISSLES, there’s no need for that. I like Littlejohn and, for the most part, I liked the article.
He writes well and we need a few more like him. He sounds like the sort of bloke you meet in the pub. I was just disappointed with his reaction to the “booing.” After an excellent piece, the last part seemed a tad mealy mouthed.
I think we’re all duty bound to show our disgust at this organisation. If we stay silent the Beeb and others will promote that as our tacit support. I just don’t know of anyone who supports them.
Please continue sending the links, they’re always appreciated, particularly as I’ve stopped buying papers altogether.
The bBBC are really devious B******ds, they know exactly how to manipulate.
I refer to a picture on their website this morning showing a QPR footballer kneeling down and giving a black power salute at last nights game (QPR vs Millwall). The headline is
‘Millwall draw as fans back anti-racism gesture’.
Anyone reading the headline and seeing the picture gets the impression that Millwall with backing from the supporters have taken it upon themselves to continue with this submissive posture and seen the ‘error’ of their ways. They actually did link arm in arm with QPR players but you don’t know this unless you read on. We see this from the BBC time and time again. Shut these manipulating devious b*****ds down before they do more damage, lying and brainwashing.
There are two BBC news stories
#1 The political report
#2 The match report ..which is linked to with a pic of the QPR kneeling
..yet that page doesn’t feature that photo
only the political report does
Both pages begin with the flag photo
The one guy kneeling photo is labelled “QPR players took a knee before kick-off while Millwall players remained standing”
@Mouse SkySportsNews are still trolling they put up a tweet
“Millwall fans applaud as some players take a knee before kick off against QPR on Tuesday night.”
with a video clip.
Martin Daubney tweeted back that they were applauding their own payers for NOT taking the knee.
“It’s an extraordinary disconnect we are witnessing between ordinary, working class football fans & the media”
As the first vaccinations are taking place in the UK the BBC
has started their expected crusade on the fact that
that we in the UK must not hog as much of the vaccine’s
as we can. Yes BBC, let’s send our vaccine to China for a start.
They were good enough to export their virus to us. Then
how about Russia they showed us in Salisbury what certain
novel chemicals can do.
China, which had a head start in researching the virus after all, has three vaccines under trial and in use “in emergencies”, which you are free to interpret as you wish. Sour grapes doesn’t look good though.
Ah Doob
But they have told us we can reduce our emissions at lower cost…although we have to deal with those that can’t pay…govt support needed.
Is it me but BBC is all about the negative..
Apparently acording to Twato we have to eat less meat…well they can F off.
Defund….the useless buggers
More about the BBC’s proposed programme promoting puppy breeding business. The BBC are out of touch with public opinion on animals and the petition against the programme has reached 70,000.
Marc the Vet
Official statement regarding proposed BBC Three programme ‘Will My Puppies Make Me Rich?’:
“I’m usually a big fan of BBC THREE and its often ground-breaking content & comedy. However I join fellow animal welfare campaigners & dog-lovers across the UK in being deeply concerned that this programme is not only ill-conceived & exploitative to animals, but potentially dangerous too. Any show following individuals breeding dogs with little or no knowledge & experience, with their sole intention of making a profit implies this is an appropriate, even aspirational money-making venture to consider; a hugely irresponsible message to send to viewers by a publicly funded, or indeed any organisation. Statements like “capitalising on the demand for designer dogs” are especially worrying, as the aim seems to be producing dogs in sufficient quantity & of a certain type, with no consideration of the many significant health or welfare implications that can result. In my opinion, from an animal welfare & educational perspective, BBC THREE’s purpose would be far better served by a series highlighting the frequently tragic outcomes from dog breeding establishments motivated by profit, such as puppy farms or importing sick young pups from overseas; as well as sharing tips on what to look for when buying a puppy, or better still adopting from rescue. It’s extremely disappointing, especially when the Pandemic has seen a spike in irresponsible dog breeding practices both here & abroad, that BBC THREE is commissioning a documentary that effectively promotes & follows a dog breeding business experiment, posing a risk not only to the welfare of the dogs, puppies & people directly involved, but potentially manufacturing cruelty, which can only have a detrimental effect on the lives of thousands of other dogs & humans. I sincerely hope BBC THREE rethinks this terrible idea which only helps to normalise & encourage dog breeding for money; they listen to their license fee-paying animal-lovers across the country & seriously consider their future plans regarding this show, hopefully choosing a much more responsible, acceptable & ethical concept to take its place in our TV guides.”

“all Sky staff have been summoned to a meeting at 1pm”
Kay already had a holiday booked in from the 12th December to the 4th January…
Last night she tweeted a sneering tweet about lions, but deleted it.
(FFS Her & her chums are the hyena pack)
The Guardian also reports Kay’s illegal celebrations have seen her withdrawn by management from consideration for the prestigious Royal Television Society’s journalism awards,
Guido video :Sky’s Beth Rigby and Burley interview each other
Following the 1pm all-staff meeting Guido this morning revealed was happening at Sky, Beth Rigby, Inzamam Rashid and Sam Washington have all been taken off air pending investigation
. They join Kay Burley in being suspended on full pay over Christmas…
The mood at Sky cannot be underestimated right now. Junior staffer are furious with their superiors for the hypocrisy.
Earlier today Adam Boulton retweeted a post calling Kay and her birthday bash goers “Morons”.
Whatever happened to that Sky news twitter views ban?
To be fair I think Burley the expert on social distancing has had Covid
so is not going to spread it to anyone
but neither can Boris in her smug tweet.
Doesn’t look like two shopping trolleys apart to me. What do you think? https://t.co/tO9D7kbNSt
The headline and subsequent report focuses on the undeniably horrible murder of Vanessa Guillen at Fort Hood. What is sadly endemic at the BBC, and society as a whole, is the information buried near the bottom of the article, which states – “The action by the US Army on Tuesday follows a year that saw 25 soldiers assigned to Fort Hood die as a result of suicide, homicide or accidents, according to the Associated Press news agency.”
25 soldiers. Why does the BBC highlight, what is almost certainly, the only female death amongst a total of 25 deaths? Why are female lives worth more than male lives? Why is a female death so abhorrent, but a male death sees no such reaction? The Boko Haram “Bring back our girls” campaign highlighted how society values female life, but thinks of male life as dispensable.
If anybody wants to see concrete evidence of the BBC’s anti-male feminist campaign, then go to the BBC site and type into their search box “misandry”. A single page with a total of 6 articles. Now type “misogyny”. 29 pages containing a total of 290 articles. If you put this simple stat. into something more tangible then, according to the BBC, for every case of perceived misandry there are 48 cases of perceived misogyny. A woman is, apparently, 48 times more likely to experience something inappropriate than a man is based on their gender. Strange, because that’s not the world I’m living in; one where the very trait of masculinity has been labelled toxic, where companies like Gillette launch advertising campaigns to tell all men that they are a bit crap, where it’s accepted/expected that all media will shine a negative light on the entire male gender, where it’s become normalised to criticise men without question, and where male issues such as suicide, lack of health funding, injustice in the family courts, disparity in prison sentences, early death etc. cannot even be spoken about.
Not a single tweet in the last 24 hours from Lewis Goodall about the #Hypocrite#KayBurley – yet how does that compare with the number of tweets you sent out about #Cummings.

That’s not looking good for the Tory voters .
That was not what they wanted .
Who voted for more illegals to arrive in this country in the last election ? Next they will send for their extended families to be brought over. They should all be sent back to France.
I sense there will be trouble ahead……………..
Yep, the current Tory government seem hell-bent on losing as much of the right-leaning electorate as possible. Not a great campaign slogan for the Tories – “Boris Johnson – rebuilding the red wall, brick by brick”.
I never thought I’d be so disappointed in a Conservative government – they’ve completely lost me tbh. Trouble is, what’s the alternative?
\\Tesco: Brexit ‘could see people choose cheddar over brie’//
“Brits could turn back to cheddar if the price of French cheese shoots up after a no-deal Brexit.”
“Tesco’s chairman John Allan told the BBC that tariffs could push up the price of brie by as much as 40%.”
Great! Good luck with that one, the French cheese makers will be the losers .
Cheddar is much more tastier.
I agree that proper Cheddar with rind (I favour Montgomery’s from North Cadbury) takes some beating for taste and it is much admired by French cheese connoisseurs but I’ve yet to see it for sale in Tesco. The plastic-wrapped, industrial soap-like substance that masquerades as Cheddar in supermarkets is a disgrace to the name. As for Brie, most of it that reaches these shores is pretty bland, presumably geared to the traditional British abhorrence of strong flavours (real Cheddar, and Marmite, notwithstanding). When you taste a real Brie de Meaux you know about it. But I do prefer those soft French cheeses that are allegedly classed as munitions. Let a Munster mature in your kitchen over a couple of days and you’ll know what I mean.
Didn’t somebody in these parts some time ago aver that strong flavours and spices were terribly un-English and an abominable consequence of the EU? Shall we all be made to go back to boiled cod and junket?
WWW, my favourite pub landlord from Winchelsea once got a letter in the DT, years ago, about the French thinking they could replicate good Cheddar…
Just recently, some enterprising farmers in Kent have been making some fabulous hard cheddar style and smooth blue cheeses – at a price, but absolutely gorgeous!
I suppose the French ban will affect the BBC’s likeness for Roquefort and aged Comte, but as they rarely venture away from their Londonistan bubble, they’ll never find out what they’re missing! And yes, a decent Plougman’s in the countryside is a ‘substantial meal’!
(Google ‘Kingscott Blue’ and ‘Ashmore’, for a bit of a clue – one which I gave Darcy, but that particular name has vanished of late..)!
A wonderful scaremongering article from the good old BBC today.
We start with the classic meaningless-but-suggestive headline to sway those who don’t bother digging any deeper:
‘Could Brexit make my food more expensive ?’
It contains no less than 16 ‘buts’ where the author cherry picks as many examples as he can find which he can follow with a ‘but …’ to pull them down.
In the middle (for one line and to cover themselves against impartiality fact-checkers) he tells us the government say on average the rises will be less than 2% – and immediately uses the word ‘admits’ in a sense to infer he is hiding the truth.
At the end of the article you realise it says absolutely nothing. It’s only purpose seems to be to make us support whatever deal is forced upon us.
All in all a classic BBC piece. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55222125
Well, in an amazing coincidence, after the above BBC article about the cost of tariffs, I just got an email for a petition (started 3 days ago) on change.org from some remainer demanding a referendum on Boris’ deal and returning to the single market if we reject it.
They even tell us it is radically different from what was promised in the referendum!. As far as I can remember, the referendum was leave or stay. Nothing about any deal was promised.
Coincidence ?. Or the BBC using their influence to try and get people to sign it ?.
“ Are you willing to cut the amount of meat and dairy you eat – or stop eating it altogether – if it means saving the planet?

It seems a Civil War is breaking out between the Biden supporting CIA and the Trump supporting Department of Defence. Lieutenant General Thomas G. McInerney said it was a Special Operations raid on a CIA Scytl Server operation in Frankfurt, Germany.
The CIA’s Gina Haspel was on-site in Frankfurt during the raid and wounded in the fracas as were, five of the military personnel, two could have died. The CIA made up a fake news deflection story about five soldiers and one CIA operative being killed. Haspel was then taken to Guantanamo Bay prison where she made a full video confession.
The CIA software was named “Dominion”, and the CIA project to deploy the software was called both “Project Hammer” and “Operation Scorecard”. Scytl was acquired in October 2020, a few weeks before the election, by Paragon. The Dominion Voter Software deleted 2.7 million Trump votes nationwide. A Member of the United States House of Representatives, Texas Republican, Louis Buller Gohmert Jr, confirmed that a US forces team has seized the servers. According to MonkeyWerx, a Texan, Aerospace and Defence Guru. Military air traffic above the US has exploded in number, with military personnel being returned home from overseas. California, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada being the main destinations of the traffic.
As Trump seems to have won with a landslide. There may need to be a brief period of Martial Law while the Swamp is drained under the 1807 Insurrection Act.
A military action on the sovereign territory of a major European power? That would have been an act of war had it actually happened. There’s been no major diplomatic incident, no protest from Angela Merkel, no expulsion of US diplomats from Germany and other European states.
I find it very hard to believe that the Director of the CIA (DCI) would be present, personally, on site of an operation in a foreign country with the amount of risk involved.
I also find it hard to believe that the DCI would be taken to Gitmo for “questioning”.
This was not my case as has been so incorrectly reported. The case that everyone has been waiting for is the State’s case with Texas and numerous others joining. It is very strong, ALL CRITERIA MET. Why a Black Directory, what about White Directory? Seemingly as far as the Media/BBC are concerned one would think we have more Black/Coloured people living in these Islands of ours than white people-glad to say that white is still the majority.
Have you seen the adverts for Vauxhall cars lately, the one where they say “A British company since 1903? Hi
For a long time this thread has had a big problem with it being used as a platform to complain about representation, diversity and inclusion.
Using terms like “box ticking” and “woke” implies specific groups of people aren’t deserving and are only being given the role based on their ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability etc. Striving for inclusion and diversity doesn’t equate to less deserving people being given opportunities or roles in adverts. Representation is important and when it is presented as a negative and complained about it’s quite disappointing, unnecessary and can be offensive.
This thread is for posting about adverts you don’t like, not for complaining about minority groups being represented in adverts. Comments and rhetoric like this will be moderated accordingly as it’s not productive and oftentimes offensive. If you are using reasons like this as a basis for why you don’t like an advert you should avoid this thread. Please stay on topic from this point forward and PM us if you have any questions. Thank you.
Digital Spy is often referred to and quoted by the BBC regarding show biz stories. It is a far left site which has no interest in free speech and quickly crushes any dissent from its agenda, for instance it has closed its thread on the taking of the knee at football matches with this –
“Unfortunately we’ve had to remove and action a number of posts for downplaying and dismissing genuine concerns of racism as well as posts defending booing a gesture of solidarity against racism. This isn’t productive to discussion. Due to this we’re leaving this thread locked for now and we appreciate those who contributed to the thread in a meaningful way.”
Yikes! I think the @EHRC may need to go and look at the politics section of the @digitalspy forum. There is an entire thread where members are posting wild Anti Semitic conspiracy theories while the mods seemingly don't care
Apologies if already covered, but just remembered the prominent BBC coverage the other day of the MOBO awards. That’s Music of Black Origin.
Two questions for the BBC.
1. Why are there no white performers? It says Black Origin, not black performers, and I think you’ll find the giants of rock, the Stones, Clapton, Led Zep et al would fit the bill very nicely and so presumably would their modern day equivalents.
2. Is there a Music of White Origin set of awards?
It all sounds pretty racist to me. But then it’s the ‘right’ sort of LeftMob racism, so it’s OK.
I watched the trailer for this and the two black lady hosts were quite comfortable to describe it as a celebration of black artists, So it’s only a major issue when it’s a white football official who uses the word in his native language.
The BBC don’t need to restrict access to information that we, the public, have a right to know about. They are exempt, unaccountable and Teflon [1] A new report has found that there’s a pretty blatant BBC team who can obstruct Freedom of Information requests from the public. [2]It’s a threat to the ability for us all to hold the BBC to account.
Freedom of Information requests are often used by journalists to find out what the government is really doing.[3] It’s vital for the health of our democracy that government is scrutinised like this. But woe betide any daft enough to apply this to those who set them selves up as judges. Eh, Kay?
This team’s existence was exposed by the independent global media organisation OpenDemocracy. [4] Media giants across the political spectrum have condemned the blocking of FOI requests. Even the BBC, in characteristic hypocrisy. [5] And a former Conservative minister has assured the BBC to rest easy. The BBC looks after formers if they deliver. [6] What’s missing is a huge public outcry. That’s where we come in, Rube. We can outcry any cry you can imagine. In our minds.
Imagine if tens of thousands of us came together to tell the government to suggest the BBC actually stops acting like an activist cell – called the “broadcasting house”. The public outcry will add to the pressure on the ECU and BBC DPA and could be the thing which stops them blocking requests for information. Or not, life sucks, frankly, if you are not a chosen one.
So Rube, will you sign the petition calling on the government to stop the bbc avoiding public accountability – by shutting down its controversial (we love that word) “broadcasting house”?
ADD MY NAME
One member of the public – or one journalist – wouldn’t be able to do anything about this. Think Kay and Beff in a bistro. But that’s where we come in – if thousands of us work together we can force the BBC to stop obstructing access to information on their shenanigans that we have a right to know about.
So will you sign the petition telling the government to shut down the ‘broadcasting house’, stop restricting public accountability, and stop attacking public freedoms?
ADD MY NAME

What has happened to the autonomous car?

JimS:The reality is more likely to be that we will hire them, with or without a driver.
Which means that we wont have independent mobilty, and the government or authority, or even the hire company can restrict our freedom of movement.
As Tech companies are heavily involved in autonomous cars, the idea that they will govern when and where we move, is unacceptable.

I see plenty of hate in that video.

Even if he had been English-speaking and said “negro”, how did that become an unforgivable word?

Stew-Both the referee and fourth official were Romanian.

BUT I reiterate I have learned a lesson if ever I am mugged

@Foscari yes I get you
Romanian Ref to Romanian 4th official “Book him”

Sans doute, as you would say in France- however knowing something of the French mentality as I lived in France for several years, I would expect a great deal of resistance against their government.

The NHS vaccination campaign went on because staff were considered a priority group.
https://www.buzzfeed.com/shaunlintern/these-nhs-staff-were-told-the-swine-flu-vaccine-was-safe
https://www.nhs.uk/news/medication/swine-flu-vaccine-link-to-deadly-nerve-condition/

But when it comes down to it…

Clearly Littlejohn inflames some strong feelings on here, so I shall refrain from sharing anymore links, and just savour them myself.

You can make a complaint to the BBC here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/con…/complaints/make-a-complaint/…

The usual misandry from the BBC – Headline: “US Army leaders fired over abuse of women soldiers” – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55235381.
Patriarchy? Yeah right.

I find it very hard to believe that the Director of the CIA (DCI) would be present, personally, on site of an operation in a foreign country with the amount of risk involved.
I also find it hard to believe that the DCI would be taken to Gitmo for “questioning”.
Just sayin’ …

local ITV news “Special Police Campaign on Child Sexual Exploitation”
..ah good on you Yorkshire Police
.. oh hang on it’s not Yorkshire it’s Lincolnshire
.. where I’ve never heard of raping gangs
but Lincoln and Grimsby have had lot of CCE child crime exploitation arrests cos County Lines have send kids in to set up drug houses.
Child sexual and criminal exploitation happens in our County. Operation Vigilance is about enforcement action to tackle it, together with raising awareness in our communities so they can help us identify it.
Seven warrants were executed on a series of addresses in Portland Street, Lincoln, in partnership with Trading Standards and Environmental Health.
Two people arrested, a man in his 20s and a man in his 30s, have been arrested, as a result of today’s enforcement action.
Operation Vigilance is a partnership project supported by Lincolnshire County Council, City of Lincoln Council, local housing providers, Barnardo’s and the Children’s Society.

Not reported by the BBC.
Coronavirus cases are absolutely going through the roof in California.
The US constitution assigns health care responsibility to state level.
California is a Democratic state.

The PSG incident nearly encapsulates the whole football/media/BLM fiasco, which has been steadily ratcheted up since the attempt to wreck John Terry all those years ago. A seminal football moment in that it had nothing to do with the game and all to do with self-righteous promenading. Dump the SKY and BT and the season ticket. You’re being taken for an expensive ride and it’s called taking the p***.

Massive allegations of voter fraud and this and no-one at the BBC seem able to put 2 and 2 together !!!!!!

Local BBC news : more emotional blackmail on Covid
They featured a recently recovered Boston man exiting hospital
saying
#1 Masks should be COMPULSORY in the street
“cos people can breathe on each other”
… that is anti-science ..you need a viral dose to catch Covid and that much can’t travel 1m in normal conditions
#2 He said having a family Christmas would be too dangerous
..Again he’s had it. so is very unlikely to give it out or catch it again.

Has nobody told them they are now a French company since Renault Group bought General Motors Europe a couple of years ago.Sneaky French bastards getting a foothold in the UK to avoid tariffs imposed on them by the EU.

The online Digital Spy forum have clearly been inundated with comments about the over representation of BAME”s in tv adverts that this warning has been issued by the Moderator…………….., not just us on here then !

Also know as gross and shameless double standards as well as anti-white racism.

Just got the latest 38 BeeGees effort.
Your right to know.
Dear Rube ,
The BBC don’t need to restrict access to information that we, the public, have a right to know about.
ADD MY NAME
Thank you for being involved,
Matt, David, Stewart, Isabel and the 38 BeeGees staff team
