It appears that the BBC is going through a massive reporter recruitment drive and the skills required are: to be as young as possible, have virtually no previous experience, have “progressive” woke views, spend a lot of time on social media, talk babble-speak and have a nice social media profile pic.

This quite obviously being a naive and panic-stricken attempt to give the corporation a veneer that might attract younger viewers who almost completely ignore them at present.

This must now be the cause of some concern to the established reporting crowd as it probably won’t be long before they are put out to grass.

The satisfying thing about this is that the incumbents effectively will have caused their own demise by alienating traditional viewers and therefore panicking the management into this rash and stupid decision.

If you think that the BBC are becoming more like Hello magazine every day then this might explain it.

    8pm ITV Joanna Lumley show
Starts at Tilbury Docks for Windrush reference

” Lumley spends time in Bradford, where she meets a group of Muslim women who have set up an allotment gardening project to combat loneliness. ”

“she meets Sheffield Environmental Movement member Maxwell Ayamba, who runs a walking group called Black Men Walk, and explores Malhamdale and Gordale Scar with him”
    .
“I loved meeting the women in Bradford who had started an allotment.
Some of them were finding some days a bit difficult because of their religion, meaning they can’t always do certain things and they don’t want to offend their faith, and so they came up with this this lovely little outdoor thing.”

That didn’t do my blood pressure any good
That character has that weird extremist self belief which the swamp enjoys – was it don’t before Friday ? Or the vaccination programme ?

The eagerness of swamp dwellers to group people into fixed groups is one of their many weaknesses . He also assumes that the EU will exist or become more federal . None of which can be assumed .

Since he is so ready to talk about whole groups ‘dying off ‘ like a nazi ( yes I know he is of Jewish heritage ) – I’ll have a drink the day he goes – if before me …

But since he said that on news night i guess only his cat saw it .

Mrs Voter likes to watch Richard Osman’s woke quiz? show, I only look for the comedy content. At the end of the programme, trailers for so called programmes, Alan Carr doing something with designers, designers of what? From the promo itlooked like stuff going to the tip before Money for Nothing got it’s hands on it, and Ranganation, Nish and his mother at the trough that is the BBC. What I want to know is, where are the programmes that aren’t presented by Ginger Beers and Bames?

Not BBC, but just been reading an article from the RFI. Following the cigar shaped asteroid thing that entered our solar system.

The RFI is a French news and current affairs public radio station.

Avi Loeb, the director of Harvard’s astronomy department, says the “ Peculiar interstellar space visitor was ‘probably an alien vessel”
If I’m right, this is the greatest discovery in the history of mankind,” Loeb says.
“There are thousands of billions of galaxies like our Milky Way in the visible universe. There are more planets and solar systems like ours in the universe than there are “snowflakes on our Earth”

Looks like my joke is being missed so I clarify….

Snowflake as a politicized insult is typically used by those on the political right to insult those on the political left. In an article from the Los Angeles Times, Jessica Roy says the alt-right in the United States pejoratively describes most liberals and those protesting against Donald Trump as “snowflakes”.

        Apologies…

There were literally hundreds of cameras on site and tens of cameras rolling during the argy-bargy.

If there was footage / witnesses / evidence I feel that three weeks later we’d have some stills and statements. There were also some known lefty agitators attending… The MAGA crowd have been involved in some fisticuffs and on occasion gunplay – but usually as a reaction to a baying crowd of AntiFa – throwing Molotovs and smashing stuff up has been up to now the almost exclusive domain of the lefties. It’d be awkward if a MAGA hat wearing AntiFa goon with previous lobbed the extinguisher? – conjecture, sure – but given the number of cameras rolling … it is suspicious imho.

The Dems are desperate to maintain the crisis as repeating the “out of control” narrative legitimises them rushing policies through without scrutiny or debate.

The nervousness of the Democrats is plain weird for a party with the Senate, Congress + POTUS – now Beelzebub is almost vanquished they are having to look at their policies … and pay back all the donors etc… they need a demon – if DJT doesn’t oblige – expect some group of furriners to cop some crap.

    Pugs,

Agree wholeheartedly with what you say, I’ll just add this as an aside.

Larne is in my council area, Mid and East Antrim, and although it’s not my hometown, which is larger, I have connections to it.

The bBbc are happy to highlight “simmering tensions” in the area in their article.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-55895276

These tensions “within the local community” are flagged up by the Sinn Fein Councillor and Group Party Leader on the council, James McKeown. The SDLP Councillor Eugene Reid gives his opinion on the matter and again mentions “raised tensions”.

Neither of these men are from Larne, nor do they represent voters from Larne. Both men are from Nationalist parties who want a United Ireland, both are pro-EU and anti-Brexit and one is an IRA supporter. The Sinn Fein representative is the “group party leader” of a group of 2 within the council, the SDLP Councillor is his party’s sole representative.

Mid and East Antrim Council has 40 Councillors, Larne itself has 5 elected representatives, 3 of whom are Unionists. The people of Larne elected no Nationalist Councillors.

Of those 40, 29 are Unionist, including 2 Independents who I know personally. The rest who are not Nationalist are Alliance Party members. It’s difficult to work out where their loyalties lie although they are pro-EU.

There are 3 Anti-Brexit Irish Nationalist Councillors in total on the council, one of whom represents an area 30 miles from Larne, another 20 miles inland. The BBC asked 2 of them for their opinion on what appeared to be an issue from within the Pro-Brexit Unionist community in a staunchly Loyalist area which voted as a constituency for Brexit in the Referendum, a community they live with but not in.

They were as usual more than happy to give it, however They do not truly represent or speak for the majority of people in Larne. They most definitely do not understand or empathise in any way with this local Protestant, British community. They actually in fact know about as much about the Ulster Unionist mindset as my arse does about snipe shooting. And yet, the bBbc seek them out, give them their say, present their views, their agendas, as legitimate and accepted.

The bBbc pull crap like this in nearly every article that they produce on Northern Ireland and if they do it here I can guarantee that it happens in every article about every other part of the United Kingdom on every single day.

Asking how her “brother” is doing at Citadel would I feel cause the smirky gel to freeze up … But maybe asking about Janet Yellen’s $800K for a short speech to Citadel might be a better line at the moment.

That said the White House Press Corps have been approached to provide questions beforehand to be to be vetted and selected … there’s some grumbling … – obviously OK with CNN, MSNBC etc..

The Dems aren’t settling in well at all (bad/sour winners) – can Biden keep them in line? – I’d guess not…

And another one from the BBC:
‘US President Joe Biden has signed three executive actions seeking to reunite migrant families split up by a Trump-era policy’
First note the ommission of the word ‘illegal’ in front of migrants. Makes them sound like victims.
Now read it carefully : it says to ‘reunite those split by a Trump-era policy’. The policy changed because Trump made it a criminal offence – and children were not allowed to stay in a jail for adults. But they key point here is that they were also split under Obama – but these orders are just to reunite those split under the criminal offence. It’s a deliberate attempt to make you think it was all Trump’s fault.
And conveniently enough there is no information available for how many Obama split.
Classic BBC misinformation. Not a lie – but the real truth is very deliberately hidden.
