Midweek Thread 31 March 2021

If you read the 69 pages of the ‘BBC Annual Plan 2021 – 2022’ – published this week – you recognise a number of recurring themes .1. That the BBC is ‘London centric ‘ 2. It is worried about viewing figures 3. It knows it cannot compete with online subscription services 4. It is worried about the word ‘impartial – which features a countless number of times 5.It thinks it is British – and fails to mention Brexit or its ‘ EU fan club at all . Reading the Plan – knowing the reality as opposed to the BBC fantasy -that it is unbiased – one plays a game of reading between the lines and seeing that the users of this website ( on behalf of the good British public ) are slowly but surely winning and that the days of the current BBC are numbered .

GB News News – Alistair Stewart is joining – more quality for a channel which promises more every day .

Being Easter – and all – I’m having a completely BBC free weekend – and from experience I know I will feel better for it .

Being of the true faith -( banter- I know there are other brands ) I volunteered to ‘do the door’ for my local church this afternoon . We have rigid bio controls and once the number has been met we had to turn people away … I don’t think a story like that would make the Godless BBC

    RIP the officer.

However, why is American Beauty harking back to events that might have no connection?

No one claiming that the Washington car crasher is….anything. The last ‘person of interest’ turned out to be a Muslim….oddly no vast outpouring of angst about Muslim supremacy for his attack. Police telling us that this is a ‘lone wolf’ attack with no signs of anything bigger. Why no rush to declare ‘white supremacist’ or some other identity? Could it be that the person looks black in this Daily Mail photo…

Maybe not perfectly visible but certainly appears to have dark skin.

Guessing plenty in BBC/CNN/ NYT/WaPo newsrooms holding their breath hoping it’s a Trump supporter whatever the colour.

    Repeat edition of Flog It
“Here we are a Coalbrookdale making iron by adding coke and lime, to the iron ore mix”

    better not tell Harrabin
He thinks iron is made by some magic hydrogen technology.

GW – Sopel, being Sopel, can’t resist the temptation….

Never mind, if you like Dr Fauci, I seem to recall Steven Bannon is doing something on ‘Transhumanism’ on ‘War Room’ tomorrow.
    Hope I remember that correctly…

I would imagine Sopel is a Fauci fan…?

The Falklands War started this day in 1982.

Our BBC were later to broadcast to the world the position and intent of 2 para at Goose Green.

The BBC were and still are critical of the Falklands War. In their words, it was a ‘conflict’.

The BBC in WW2 were very different.

The Falklands War helped expose to the world the BBC anti-military, anti-British and anti-Thatcher bias.

    Nothing has changed.
