Midweek Thread 28th April 2021

We are witnessing the BBC conducting an election campaign on behalf of the Labour Party. Some might say that such activity subverts the democratic process . But as we have seen in a recent election elsewhere – the BBC isn’t too worried about fairness – yet alone impartiality . Surely there is a score to be settled with the Far Left anti British Biased BBC …

BBC Reporting Scotland last night 6.30pm in full SNP campaign mode.

The first full 7 minutes of this 25 minute programme was dedicated to Boris Johnson & his wallpaper. Absolutely nothing to do with Scotland.

The main talking points ‘sleaze’, ‘enquiry’ ‘wrong-doing’ ‘investigation’ were repeated continuously between three separate correspondents.

Presumably the logic is the simplistic talking points repeated often enough will implant in the low IQ voters (who undoubtedly vote SNP anyway) who will then parrot to those around them.

Good interview on Mike Graham show on his Talk radio interviews with Helen Dale on where all the ‘hate crimes’ comes from! – (as there is no actual UK legislation by parliament passed -at all for this CRIME!) is an interesting factoid – that it was voted on by the Police Commission (trade Union of sorts) to include this as a non-crime ‘thought crime’ unofficially. As Ms Dale is a Lawyer she was able to correctly argue that this ‘non crime’ is the same as that used by the East German Police to quell anybody that is outspoken against the Communists in government. Unfortunately when the Police enter it on the UK data base it is recorded as a REAL crime and entered (with no Court Judgement) on the UK national database to be used as a stick to ban you from future ‘public placement jobs’ i.e. Data Barring Services is used by All schools for examples to ban paedophiles and sexual exploiters or criminals from working with children. Its also use in care homes when working with ‘vulnerable’ ages etc., Its everywhere basically. And this is how the Left have leveraged it into ‘quasi law) even though it officially does not exist!

George Orwell lives! The mark of true Marxism is imposed top down. No Courts!, No Defence!, No review!. No over site! – juts an ‘an allegation (true or false) is enough for the Police to record the ‘incident’…. they are obligated, although there is no law or crime committed. Its a total abuse of the Police.

How it works is interesting as its not (officially) part of UK law, however every ‘thought-crime (insert anything the BBC agrees with and campaigns for in the past fort years), add in a left army of Twitter followers permanently OFFENDED by anyone who thinks different to the BBC liberal, Marxist and Trots and we end up where we are. Institution collapse under ‘non-crime’ crimes against the Police.

And surprisingly (for me) its the Police who have enabled this and avoided any parliamentary scrutiny or vote in parliament. This I can only presume is the work of SADIQ KHAN and his followers so they can promote the East German experience.

Its worth listening too if you missed it today. We have to challenge this, but it has to be the next Mayor of London and Lawyers (such as Helen Dale) who can clearly see the danger. The BBC will look the other way (as usual). Nothing to see here. Its under the ‘radar’ politically – as they are all afraid of being found out for (alleged) misdemeanours – (that the BBC would use against you as they have access to all public criminal records- as it gets recorded as a ‘CRIME’ even though its unproven and alleged, it can not be removed from the database (DBS) as a CRIME incident.

    Helen Dale (Twitter): https://twitter.com/_HelenDale
    Mike Graham show (11.05pm interview).
    Listen again: https://talkradio.co.uk/radio/schedule

Daft: All about those (escalating) media “non-crime hate incidents” (and the remarkable story of @SVPhillimore’s Methodist cat and its talent for pooping in South Yorkshire gardens) all investigated and charged by the Police!). Totally mad, yet a serious incident recorded.

And lets not forget the NICKERLESS STURGEON has imposed this same HATE CRIME that the Police are using into Scottish LAW which makes it it (in Scotland) a true ‘thought crime’ of not voting for the SNP or anything else so even if you have a good legal challenge and (and In the Court case) -it still gets recorded by the Scottish Police as a CRIME and cannot be removed. Where SNP goes the Welsh government will follow and finally the UK will cave in to abandon all COMMON LAW.

So we have established a process a ‘GUILT’ that is completly at odds with the UK legal system, that you are not guilty until proved in Court is completely by passed. The implications are obviously worrying (not for the BBC) but for the rest of use innocently targetted (that is everyone including children in education) can end up with a Police Record based on a false ‘allegation’ that cannot be removed from UK criminal records). Unless your an illegal immigrant. Then it disappears from all UK records (as that’s -so called – EU based worker discrimination!). Bloody madness.

As if the BBC were not involved:

Arts critics are being warned by the union Equity to watch what they say. Whatever the intentions, it’s a sinister, anti-free speech move

Last week, the acting union Equity delivered a new set of guidelines for theatre critics. Among its recommendations was that critics should consider their ethnicity and relative privilege when writing their reviews. The union urged that they “avoid referring to immutable characteristics such as age, race, gender and appearance,…

So (in brief), more censorship on the way. If not the BBC now rolled out across land for total compliance – or get union black legged. Art Galleries, NT (already caved in), Museums (some not all), local Theater get the treatment to ban anything somebody said was un-‘woke’. Cue close of many London’s Theaters (and venues) as laughter and popular shows are now banned due to censorship. They were exempt up to now.

As Laurence Fox said, he can no longer work as a professional Actor again in the TV and media industry he once worked in. That is the work of Marxists. The BBC have rules on this, agree with everything left of liberal.

      That’s similar to NUJ rules
You label your political opposition “Far right”
then you apply the NUJ rule
that you must never report positively on the “far right”

      Of course DEHUMANISING people
by putting such boo-word labels on them
is the same as using the N-word label

As I check I see that 5 months ago the NUJ quietly removed that rule page
      archived : https://web.archive.org/web/20201030044833/www.nuj.org.uk/news/updated-nuj-race-reporting-guidelines-and-efj-manifesto/

Racist attitudes and the growth of far-right parties pose a threat to democracy, the rights of trade union organisations, a free media and racial equality.
Its members have a responsibility to stop racism being expressed in the media.
That media freedom must be underpinned by ethical reporting.
Publications and media organisations should not originate material which encourages discrimination on the grounds of race or colour, as expressed in the NUJ’s rule book and code of conduct
Members should have the right to withhold their labour on grounds of conscience where employers are providing a platform for racist propaganda.

…. Make sure you research the background of racist organisations and their members. For example, see Searchlight *, UAF, reporting the far right and Hope not Hate.

      * AFAIK Searchlight was a Socialist worker based org,
it lost a big legal case after a Panorama episode and re-emerged as Hope not Hate
They often seem to act as a front group for Labour
eg if someone is standing against Labour and poses a risk to their base, the label “far right” will be applied, the person dehumanised, thus clearing the way for Labour.
Of course there are a few genuine racist totalitarian people.
Some of them might be plants from the left ..but that is conspiracy theory land.

@Vlad Hasn’t someone been sitting on the story for a long time
only to activate it just before an election ?

AFAIK the spending originated in 2019
Then in March 2020 the idea came up that although the top up money wasn’t paid by the taxpaper , but rather by Boris via a loan from the Tory party, it would be better to cut the party out of the circuit by having donors pay direct into a charity which is the heritage fund for PrimeMinster’s in-office housing.

What if Boris right before the election releases data that says something like
“once renovation started it was discovered that beneath wall paper serious structural degradation had taken place that necessitated £130K to fix.
The PM then insisted they look for a way to not burden the taxpayer .. and found outside donors who paid”

The Mail has a timeline and in March this year there were reports that Carrie Antoinette’s extravagance might run as high as £200K

It was reported on March 6th that the Tory party had agreed to pay the costs, but there’s clearly something very wrong and possibly illegal or Boris would be much more upfront and open instead of refusing to tell the truth.

Radio 4’s ‘PM’ was biased almost all the way through. The section on the British elections and the Hartlepool Westminster seat was an exception and seemed fairer to me.

Evan Davis failed to question a US Democrat, who when praising Biden’s speech had claimed the Republicans were just the party of the very rich: no reference to the huge wealth of the Bidens, Clintons or others such as John Kerry (or to HOW they made their money); no questions about why the super-rich such as Gates, Dorsey, Zuckerberg and the Hollywood crowd support the Democrats; nothing about whether it will be affordble.

Plenty of stuff about Tory sleaze and parallels with the Major government in the 1990s but, of course, nothing about “whiter than white” New Labour’s mishaps such as Robin Cook & Gaynor Regan, Mandelson’s loan from G Robinson, John Prescott, etc, after 1997. A woman was allowed to get away with stating that the severe weather in Texas at the end of winter was caused by climate change, with no challenge from Davis.

So many questions could have been asked to provide more balance … but Evan showed no interest. The bias by tone and omission is startling.

BBC1 news at 6pm and the lead story was about the cladding and proof that in the BBC’s eyes, the Conservatives cannot do anything right. It doesn’t matter that the government has given £5 billion of our money to replace the cladding on the tallest buildings and loans to others.

We saw a young woman who with her partner, is thinking of going bankrupt. What the BBC’s report failed to tell us was how much the couple would need to find to pay their share of the removal, could they borrow the money or are they maxed out (?), have their income been affected by covid? Without that information the interview was meaningless.

We then went on to flatgate. 4 potential investigations the BBC said. Chris obviously thinks the more investigations, the more likely Boris is guilty. The mere fact that it would be guilty of having an apartment owned by the country done up isn’t considered.

Then we had an item about a whole lot of non British people being vaccinated in London.

As I type it is an adoration of Biden and how wonderful it is that he can spend a lot of money by just asking the richest to pay a tiny bit more. Now where have I heard that before?

During that time, the government 5 billion and loan scheme was mentioned twice. The government’s claim that the new bill would make properties safer was also mentioned twice.

The report then ended with a government statement that leaseholders shouldn’t have to pay (note the word; “shouldn’t”) and that it’s approach; “strikes the right balance protecting leaseholders and also being fair to taxpayers”.

This is my first post on here, although I’ve been reading other people’s posts for a while. Just for a kick off I’d like some advice on a news site to use as a home page on my PC. Up till now I’ve used the BBC News site, but it’s become easily as biased as any other news reporting on the BBC. I’ve had to completely give up watching the TV news as it’s just like watching a 45 minute Labour Party political broadcast, not that ITN bulletins are much better.

I’m completely sick of being greeted by Anglophobic political correctness as soon as I turn my computer on, so any advice on a fairly comprehensive and relatively unbiased news site would be welcome.

I don’t feel able to give up paying the licence fee as I want to continue using my TV, including some terrestrial channels occasionally, although I seldom watch BBC any longer as every programme seems to carry a socialist message.

Welcome aboard – i know its tricky regarding the licence – but the post by taffman is a help ( first one i think ) .
As for alternative news sources – i like bloomberg but very often it is as much a matter of what is prioritised or omitted as anything else .

There is no pretence of objectivity in the BBC anymore .

Londoner, welcome. I use YahooNews and MicrosoftNews (MSN) in conjunction with the BBC web-pages and a look at the front pages of the newspapers on the BBC web-site. They all tend to be lefty-liberal or Socialist, the only exception being the Telegraph on a good day.

After a while, one becomes used to the language and can start to read between the lines. It’s what people had to do in Russia and the Soviet bloc in Eastern Europe during the Cold War days.

Thanks Up2snuff. I take your point about how people had to read the news in the Soviet bloc, but I think the difference was that most people knew that only the government line was being peddled, but how many people in this country are aware that they are being sold a lie by the left here?

Maybe people are less gullible than I give them credit for being.

Hi Londoner, welcome. In my opinion its dangerous to rely on a single new feed. You cannot trust FaceBook or Google to deliver news that will largely mirror what you see on BBC TV or radio. There is a lack of independent news in this country until GMB come online to match Talk radio. And then we have no TV stations as Sky has been taken over by the left as well. Although the liberals by vote claim 8% they control 97% of the news online TV and radio. That is the management training, the rest are low grade Marxists and Trots, – as loyal followers to the cause of Socialism at its deepest level of misinformation, division. They call this Human Rights (which is misnomer cover for the abolition of Human rights – as that is only possible under Communism). Everybody equal is the basis of Communism, that you do not have any rights nor can you expect any. As such I don’t rely on any online News feed but several independent news and views you see often on this site I read at least four different newspapers a week which shroud include Then Guardian (as whatever they say will appear on the BBC feed channels. The BBC does not do research based Journalism but relies on ‘news feeds’ from the likes of SOROS and supporters posing as Climate or Human rights activists.

The EU is based on such an idea of communal ideals.

We have mission creep in the media and even The Times and Telegraph have to tow the line to survive legally in the minefield. The newspapers have to have independent verifications and a right or reply or you can cal IPSO for example and the TV and Radio media have OFCOM which notably sides with the BBC (and makes it very difficult to voice any complaint against the BBC even when its verified and logged under (FOI) and admitted – its almost impossible to take the BBC to court. The BBC Charter gives them immunity from prosecution. Its not easy finding news that’s accurate as all news can be altered to suit a purpose. There are those in government who rely on the BBC for misinformation and they will protect it as a vital asset for herding the populations confused about what a climate emergency really means. For that you have to read the newspapers and find out what treaties we have signed as a nation and what this means. We are in UNAgenda21 crisis control to be followed by the next UN Agenda30. So whatever happens next is usually hidden in small print that the globalists hope to profit from. All we can do is hope to survive intact and pray that it will all fall apart as it does in every nation that has Communal politician goals and quest to divide all people into factions, races and impossible sexes. Divide and Conquer is what you do in war time. We are at war, the enemy is clever and desperate, and they control most of the media. So beware, no news feeds are accurate without some research, which makes us all very sceptical of all news reports on mainstream TV or online, its like fast food and its not healthy. We have to question the news.

News media is entertainment not education

Everyday a million stories happen across the world
but UK media doesn’t attempt to give a scientific representation.
Instead they go about creating News Soap opera to push pet agendas
selecting 50 odd stories and banging on about 4 or 5 .
They also waste lots of time on speculation instead of waiting for stories to play out.
If you follow a few people on Twitter you come across lots of news stories an then you can decide to read deeper.
That way you avoid dancing to London media’s tune.

I can understand The Daily Mail with its continued

for 10 Downing Street costs . The Mail is just a populist
newspaper, and a successful one, in its mostly
successful exposures on what they believe their readers
want to read. In the thirties they believed that fascism was
becoming popular and started to support Mosley and
his black shirts. In fact if Hitler had successfully invaded
the UK in 1940 , I expect one newspaper would
of been allowed “The Daily Mail Zeitung.” They thought
the views of Dr Andrew Wakefield the quack who opposed
the MMR vaccination in the nineties. It was taken in by
some gullible readers . However it only cost the lives of a
few dozen kids who contracted measles. But personally I
don’t really think that the general public gives a monkeys
how much the wallpaper cost and where the money comes
    from.
Of course there is a comparison with the BBC who have
their own facetious version of the wartime broadcaster
from Germany William Joyce affectionally known as
Lord Haw Haw. The BBC have their own Lady Haw Haw
the facetious Laura Kuenssberg who tales great pleasure

it comes to Boris Johnson. Just as we had Haw Haw
with his ” Germany calling, Germany calling” with his mocking
of Winston Churchill. We now have Kuenssberg calling with
    her mocking of Boris Johnson.
Let me tell you something Daily Mail and the BBC , we the
general public have a score or more problems in our lives
right now, than to care about the furnishings of 10 Downing
    Street.
