      Pressure on water supplies?

On a Mediterranean island with no permanent rivers or lakes, which is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, the most densely populated in Europe, has a growing tourist industry and where the population is estimated to have grown by over 20% in less than 10 years.

Must be down to climate change then.

Back to the report on child abuse in the socialist republic of Lambeth – over a period of 30 years ..?

Anyone who can remember Comrade Livingstone and Thr GLC and Red Ted Knight at Lambeth will realise how such failures occurred .

They were so busy hating Mrs Thatcher and supporting any third world Marxist terrorist group that the welfare of kids in care didn’t matter .

Will the BBC fully report on this ? Will Labour be accountable ?no .

But just fir Balance – Ken Traitor Clarke – health minister when the NHS was killing patients using contaminated blood – total denial of any personal or collective responsibility .

Will he give up his peerage as an honourable thing ?

Will this failure of the NHS be fully reported ? Guess …

A double shout-out for GB News again.

While the cowardly BBC skirts around the ’embarrassing’ aspects of two major stories, GB News pulls no punches.

First, knife crime and Stop and Search: a tough-talking ex-policeman schools a black SJW on why Stop and Search is necessary and why blacks are disproportionately targeted. (18:03)

Then, while the BBC tiptoes around the taboo words ‘Pakistani’ and ‘Muslim’ in connection with grooming gangs, brave ex-policewoman Maggie Oliver tells it like it is. (20:25)

      Thoughtful, and all readers.
      The graph misses the demographics.
Look at the % of non-white children in primary schools.
I don’t have figures to hand but 30% is if anything on the low side.
Whitey children are in the minority in many schools and I know well a secondary school with around 5% whiteys.
Yet the curriculum still goes on about ‘equality and diversity’, totally ignoring the obvious irony.

Stew the graph stops at 2019 not 2021 and last year alone the bottler allowed 715000 into Britain. The graph is immigration, but you have forgotten to include those who are already here.

Sluff, sorry I forgot to post a link to the article “foreign migration has been running at about 300,000 per year for the past 20 years coupled with generally higher birth rates among the migrant and migrant-descended population, with the report noting that “34 per cent of births in England and Wales in 2019 involved at least one parent who was not born” there.

@Thoughtful OK I did overlook that the graph ends in 2019
and it’s probable there has been net immigration since then

” last year alone the bottler allowed 715, 000 into Britain.”
          … I don’t think we have such a firm figure for 2020
AFAIK many left cos of Brexit and Covid

“The graph is immigration, but you have forgotten to include those who are already here”
          .. Really ?? I doubt it
The graph is labelled “population” not immigration

The graph and claims you made are in this new Breitbart article
          https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2021/07/27/uk-ethnic-minority-population-doubled-to-13m-over-one-fifth-general-pop-report/

          The difference between BAME population
and 13 million “the ethnic minority population” is accounted for by including white-other mainly EU born
          So White British is 79%
and the rest including non-British white is 21%

It isn’t bias but boring and makes me wonder how easily the BBC wastes my money. (I know, I know). 6pm BBC1 news and we were shown Tom Dean’s family and friends getting very excited because he has won an Olympic medal. All credit to him. But who decides to set up the party? Who pays for the food and drink? And who sets up the camera. But nothing is more boring to see on the news. And what are the parties like where their athlete fails hopelessly in their endeavour or is eliminated. The BBC doesn’t show us the misery at some parties after the race.

However I saw the same film on GB News. I now presume these parties are set up by private companies and sold to MSM.

Cringeworthy though in its way hilarious, because it was such utterly hopeless television. They had nothing remotely interesting to say, but that is not their fault. They are not tv presenters. The fault is firmly with the editors and producers at the useless BBC.

Capitol riot: Policeman tells 6 January hearing he feared he would die
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57989578
The BBC at it’s ‘Best’. Meaning the lowest it can possibly get, even by their latest standards.
He feared he would die. He didn’t. The protestors didn’t kill anybody.
‘At least 535 rioters have been arrested since the attack that left five dead, including one police officer.’. Who died of natural causes. But they kept that secret. And only one person killed deliberately : an unarmed woman. Not mentioned.
The BBC are going to give this banana-republic farce manned almost entirely by Democrats complete credibility, just as they did the farcical impeachement.
That entire article is another in their latest fact-checker proof technique of pushing the ’emotion’ factor right through the roof – including a picture of the policeman with a tear in his eye.
This isn’t journalism. This is uncontained propaganda at the level of North Korea.
All of this has one single purpose : to try and stop Trump running again. They get his name in there 6 times.

Another super-charged, completely emotional story intended to make you think how the BBC want you to think. This one is even more over the top than the 11 year old Muslim girl and the ones who drowned.
What is going on at the BBC to be churning out absolute lopsided rubbish like this ?. It seems to be their new trick to get the agenda across.
‘… he was sentenced in 2015 for drug trafficking and assault, for which he was given a six-year sentence.’
‘his mother, who left his father in 2016 with the help of a women’s refuge.’

The Muslim woman burned to death in Manchester got 143 words.

    No degree in psychiatry required

I think it was the ancient greeks we have to blame for bundling together all those peculiar sports no one would buy a ticket to watch as entertainment on any regular basis, all together into one event, sending the participants off somewhere to do their thing and calling it the Olympics.

Our PM is the big classicist, so I’m sure he knows all about it.

And of course it was a Frenchman (France being the home of bad ideas) who revived the notion in modern times as a pan european event with the developing notion of promoting friendly coexistence through sporting rivalry. This being shortly before the onset of World War One. So that worked well.

Apparently it is mostly a showbiz event now – as demonstrated by the withdrawal of a young gymnast with a bad attack of stage fright: ‘Simone Biles of the USA said she needed to “fight her demons” as she pulled out of the team gymnastics final. She revealed she had been shaking with anxiety(Times) – shades of Gareth Southgate’s blank-shooting young football stars who went off at half-cock.

Why the sudden attack of the collywobbles? Perhaps the burden she carried – placed on her by outside media forces – went somewhat beyond the challenge of her sport? The Times tells us she was not just another sportswoman: ‘Simone Biles, the USA gymnast and face of the Tokyo Olympics, has cast doubt on her future in the Games

You see, her face fitted, for some reason, exactly what our broadcasters and media story tellers had cast her as.

Fear not. Despite crashing out she’s a winner none the less: ‘American gymnast Simone Biles was praised for prioritising “mental wellness over all else” after pulling out of the Olympic women’s team final.’ (BBC)

    The sister source agrees:

The US gymnast…, who is one of the biggest stars of the Olympics, spoke out powerfully on her sport’s mental health challenges‘ (Guardian)

Just as Prince Harry will tell you, if you are a bit rubbish at your job – in his case of being a prince – then there’s always the fall back option of a subsidiary career in gassing about mental health – no degree in psychiatry required.

There’s racial preference involved. If only Simone had been white the media wouldn’t have put quite so much pressure of attention on her and made such a pet of her.

Tescos take out a frontpage ad in the freebie giveaway Metro: ‘Find out how we are fighting child hunger‘ – reads the bizarre advertising copy. Errr… by running a chain of food retail supermarkets? A little black boy crunches into an apple by the fruit stand in the picture. Do Tescos imply his mum won’t have to pay for that apple when they reach the checkout?

Quasi-political corporate piffle goes up-market too – FTSE100 packaging giant Smurfitt Kappa must be thanking their lucky stars for the internet mail order boom sending demand for cardboard boxes through the roof but their ad on the frontpage of the FT has a pseudo-Greta Thunberg girl holding a placard reading: ‘There is no planet B‘ – perhaps the appearance fee for the real Greta would have over-stretched the PR budget? No Planet B? – that will disappoint UFO watchers.

As shareholders count their pandemic-stimulated wads they can console their consciences that customers chose: ‘the most recyclable material on the planet‘ – I say pack it in.

Praise for Biles as Olympics enters fifth day

As the Olympics continues into the fifth day, praise for US gymnast Simone Biles has poured in after she pulled out of the women’s team final to prioritise her “mental wellness over all else”. The 24-year-old 30-time Olympic and World Championship medallist widely considered the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) withdrew from the event after her vault, saying: “I have to focus on my mental health.” Her decision has been widely praised and admired with Jamaica gymnast Danusia Francis saying: “What a queen. GOAT in more ways than one.” Comments flooded in from others sports personalities including boxer Manny Pacquiao as well as from Unicef USA which thanked her for “being a role model”.

What happens to British ships if satellite signals fail?

The Royal Navy and Britain’s merchant fleet, along with most others around the world, rely on satellites for navigation – but what happens if they don’t work? It’s a question that troubles the former First Sea Lord, Lord West of Spithead, who has spent months trying to find out if the UK has a back-up plan. “My concern is that those people who are not friends with us are looking at ways to knock out satellite communications,” he says.

“I thought I’d ask the government, I thought they’d have processes, but it became very clear from their answers that they don’t understand what the problem is.” The Labour peer, who was the UK’s first cyber-security minister under Prime Minister Gordon Brown, is convinced the government, which says it’s exploring ways to ensure position, navigation and timing resilience, needs to act to protect the British fleet.

The first thing that will happen in a world war is that GPS will be lost. Every Navy ship will be capable of operating without it. They will all have inertial navigation systems.

Nice emotional banditry by the BBC over some disability spending project the red tories have come up with .

The BBC must have a sort of menu of vocal ‘victims ‘ who can describe a terrible situation .

This time they used a mum who has a kid with a disability which needs a wheel chair . The wheelchair cost £31k . The local health outfit won’t pay for it .

So meeshal asks the red Tory minister will little Tommy or Ahmed get it …?
And the minister said ‘yes of course – everyone will get every thing ‘ – but really she said” How the Eff do I know ?” “ meeshal what a vile ambush question – the BBC should be ashamed “

But no – next – forget disability – it’s not the real reason we got a minister in – it’s to ambush her over the Ping nonsense – . Meesshaalll hasn’t got the guile to do it – or listen to the voice in her ear to complete an ambush .

So there was no ‘kill’ this time – let’s have a whip round for the kids wheelchair – £31 k.

      BBC bit ends

But let me tell you a story . My mum needed a wheelchair . She got a basic one . Thanks . But the ‘visiting carers’ wanted a ramp . A ramp costs £15k . The council demanded my mum pay for it .

Then the bus which took my mum to a day centre a couple of times a week ( which I paid for ) wouldn’t take her because it was ‘the wrong sort of wheelchair ‘ – the council had outsourced the bus company which Worked to Rule . So no more day centre .

By the time the right sort of wheelchair ‘became available ‘ my mum was dead . – just saying .

I don’t believe in the Welfare State any more – I did once . I’d move to an American model – starting with ‘don’t work – don’t eat ‘….

My theory is that once the ‘experts ‘ get a taste of uncritical fawning MSM types they can’t get enough of it – and they get more groupy chicks – for free …

I’m assuming that the reason we do not hear of the accuracy of experts is because the government tells the MSM not to do it – as part of the project fear informal agreement ….

If stew or someone has seen the sort of thing I describe I would be glad to read it …

The British men winning the 200 metres swimming freestyle relay is the most important news so far as we the British are

Just as Tiger Woods not qualifying for the latter stages of some

The BBC has this diversity obsession with black American sports

If she pulls out, she is brave for putting her mental health above medals. Either way, she’ll get huge amounts of airtime, most of which will be positive, especially because she’s a “woman of colour” who can do no wrong.

In the usual way woke folk have of completely missing the point. The head of the RNLI has blasted off at people criticising them for running a migrant taxi service.

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jul/28/rnli-hits-out-migrant-taxi-service-accusations

Lots of blather about poor folk at great risk etc. as you would expect.

No mention of the fact that the smugglers and the migrants now fully expect the almost certain assistance they will get so they don’t have to worry about being too sea-worthy and can take much bigger risks than they could if there was no rescue taxi service.

This of course leads to smugglers making lots more profit as they don’t have to worry about the quality of the craft they supply and the migrants much more prepared to set off in bad conditions knowing they have the safety belt of the RNLI waiting for them.

Lets not go into the potential scenario of say a fishing boat sinking with all hands in the vicinity with all RNLI crew unable to respond due to being too busy with the water-taxi service… just a matter of time in my opinion as winter approaches.

An analogy would be for everyone being asked to leave the keys in their front door to prevent burglars from the danger of cutting themselves trying to break the glass.

We now have a British charity shipping criminals or even terrorists? into the UK against the wishes of the majority of the people of the UK who fund the rescue outfit .
We already pay the French millions to stop the invasion and now our police buy up the dinghies to push the price up.

Part of an essay that reports on a state revolution that is on its way.
Revolutions don’t usually strike in one fell swoop. They ebb and flow, in line with events and the rise and fall of those personalities standing behind them. The warning signs are always there though; it’s just that they’re easier to ignore than to take seriously. After all, who’d want to ruin an evening out at the theatre with such concerns?
Sadly, they have a tendency to catch up with you either way.
On the evidence of the last 18 months, it appears that we too are heading irreversibly down a path of no return. For some of this we can undoubtedly thank the communist sympathies of certain members of Sage, the Government’s scientific advisory committee, who appeared wedded to an unholy alliance with the global corporate capitalists of Big Tech and Big Pharma.
The imposition of mandatory vaccination is among the gravest threats to individual liberty that has been posed by any British government. The essence of classical liberalism states that the individual – and hence their body – is sovereign. Dastardly developments on their way.

‘Israel-Gaza conflict: Apparent war crimes committed, says rights group’

Another blatantly biased piece by the BBC..

Straight out of the traps to report an investigation by the Human Rights Watch.
Focusing on 3 Israel attacks that resulted in civilian casualties.

    1. Beit Hanoun, 10 May: 8 casualty’s. (Hamas rocket probably)
    2. Shati refugee camp, 15 May: 10 casualty’s. ( Hamas officials inside)
    3. Gaza City, 16 May: 44 casualty’s. (unintentional collapse. Tunnels targeted)

Israeli military told AFP news agency that Human Rights Watch “was choosing to recycle previously refuted allegations instead of condemning violations of international law by Hamas.

Hamas responded by saying it “tried to avoid targeting civilians despite the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation”.

The report on the 4,300 rockets militants fired indiscriminately at Israel, ( each one could have resulted in civilian casualties) is not due out until next month, but why wait for that. When you can push your pro Palestine agenda…

I will be very surprised if that report ever sees the light of day from the BBC.

Actually “1348 died in the week ending 15 January”
I edited their paragraph down cos you can see they were scrambling around for framing to say ‘we got it right kind of’

Bottomline carehome deaths did rise in January, but they stated a figure 3 times that of reality

They still do this thing where they take 5 months to correct a simple fact that could have been corrected in 1 hour
eg “1,162 people died from coronavirus on this day”
No that is the number of deaths reported on that day
nowhere near that number died on that day, what happen is a load of deaths are logged in the system and they came in spurts
On most specific days the number of people who actully died was less than 1,000

Because we are a civic-minded blog site that cares about justice, free speech and our once great nation, in the public interest we post the above image of the man suspected of attacking Christian evangelist Hatun Tash at Speaker’ Corner.

(Innocent until proven guilty of course, but he does have a rather murderous look about him – a kind of darkness, almost as though he belonged to a satanic cult.)

Because the BBC is NOT civic-minded and cares NOT about justice, free speech or our once great nation, they will not post it.

And because the police are too busy painting their nails rainbow colours and too afraid of causing offence to certain communities, neither will they.

It’s also very unlikely his community will shop him.

      Citizens, it’s up to you.

Ali Dawah just did a stunt
posting a video with a title saying the attacker was non-Muslim
Yet inside the video ..he admits that he made that up
Of course commenters did that thing where they believe the false title get outraged , yet never watched the video.

Stew – Standard Taqiya tactics: misinform, misdirect, and deflect; play the victim; invent false flag theories such as the many going around on islamic social media that Hatun set up the attack to discredit islam (as if it needed her help).

By the same token, surprisingly large numbers of muslims believe 9/11 was a CIA job, and / or Mossad.

He didn’t say the quoted words, it’s a paraphrase
but the sentiment is the same
Of an original paragraph in the first edition of a book, which was then changed in the second edition
        https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/churchill-on-islam/

        Another paragraph has a complement
“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities.
        Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen;
        all know how to die;
but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it”

4:30pm R4 Media Show is about Sport
same female presenter as the 11am show .. cos the BBC is very diverse

    : Olympics, Euros,
new cricket competition called The Hundred
But in the age of infinite choice, how can broadcasters make live sport more attractive than TikTok, Fortnite or the latest Netflix drama? And has the amount of money TV companies are prepared to pay for sport fallen during the pandemic?

Guests : 1 BAME woman …3 men including two white
    Andrew Georgiou (Australian) : Sports at Discovery;
Sanjay Patel, Managing Director of The Hundred
    Bryan Henderson (Scottish), Director of Cricket at Sky Sports;

I had to travel today to the aptly named Woking. In the square there was a large screen displaying the BBC Olympics and news bulletins. Boy am I glad I don’t watch it a home. They were wittering on about Vax passports and needed at least 2 broadcasters, outside and inside. On the opposite side of the square was a live ad board extolling the virtues of the Vax jabs with a very communist looking poster. The slightly upward heroic stare you see in Soviet march pasts.
The only places I have seen such propaganda was during my time in China, a visit to Paraguay in the 80s , and Turkmenistan. The one in China is a given. Paraguay was posters extolling the virtues of El Presidente Alfredo Stroessner. Turkmenistan was photos of the president which you were not allowed to take photos of.
All of these would at one time been unimaginable in the UK, but the big screen BBC really is getting close.

The BBC are convinced the communist takeover is coming and they really, really want to be in in the action and rewarded for their help.

ITV local news Sheffield specialist steel forge bought by MoD
It’s not the purchase price but the £400m which will be needed to roll over the debts and keep the plant running.
That’s £16 your household is forking out.

And track and trace is most certainly totally pointless and without any residual value whatsoever. In fact a political pseudo medical farce that we will all have to pay for. But no doubt lots of suits in departments will have their stupid and valueless jobs assured.

If Boris had any balls he should have killed this, itself a wart on the UK’s backside and is actually harming lots and lots of innocent people.
