I live on the South Coast of the UK and about 2m above normal sea level. We have had torrential rain for 2 days but the sea level has not bloody moved. So does India have a different sea level than we have here?

Hong Kong UK Property Investment Set to Increase
Itās not just mainland China investing in the UK, though, as Hong Kong buyers are also emerging and showing interest in the country.
The UK government recently launched a special visa offering permanent citizenship after five years for around three million people living in Hong Kong.
Under current laws, those holding a BNO (British National Overseas) passport can visit the UK for up to six months without applying for residency visas.
However, from January 2021, passport holders from Hong Kong and their immediate dependents will be able to apply for residency visas with the view to achieving permanent residence.
The Financial Times has already reported that the UK is the top overseas market for Hong Kong buyers.
With this new influx of potential UK citizens, Hong Kong and Chinese investors will continue to flock to the UK. Hong Kong UK property investment will undoubtedly continue to increase.

If you see him as he really is on some youtube videos, you quickly realise that Elton is a typical nasty, bitchy old queen.
I suspect it’s not too long now before Harry and Meghan implode. When it starts going wrong, she will blame him.

I had a short online discussion recently with a Climate Change enthusiast. I sent him graphs as to how the climate has naturally changed over millions of years (source ice-core comparisons in Greenland).
He said it was better to be safe and drastically change our economies just in case the graphs are wrong.
Our BBC would approve.
Just as it’s right to spend trillions we can’t afford on reducing our own output to make a global difference of a fraction of a percent.
The only justification I have seen for it is ‘It will be a good example for the rest of the world’.
Right. Like any of those in the top 20 worst CO2 emitters care what we do.

Warming from increased levels of human-produced greenhouse gases is actually many times stronger than any effects due to recent variations in solar activity.
For more than 40 years, satellites have observed the Sun’s energy output, which has gone up or down by less than 0.1 percent during that period. Since 1750, the warming driven by greenhouse gases coming from the human burning of fossil fuels is over 50 times greater than the slight extra warming coming from the Sun itself over that same time interval.

We were still emerging from a mini ice age in 1750, but don’t allow the facts to interfere with our present paranoia.
There’s a fascinating piece of film, available on you Tube and narrated by the late Leonard Nimoy… all about global cooling. It’s what we’d now call “fear porn” and bangs on about the coming climate catastrophe, but from a totally different angle.
He mentions the three coldest winters (since records began) all occurring in the last ten years. It’s so interesting noting how the language is almost identical to the present propaganda.
He tells us how the climate is changing rapidly and very soon we’ll be stuck in another ice-age. It’s the complete obverse of what we’re hearing constantly today. I think it dates from about 1979, or thereabouts.

UK indie band British Sea Power have announced they are changing their name to simply Sea Power, in a bid to separate themselves from the recent “wave of crass nationalism”.

Vinny Codrington, Middlesex chief executive, confirmed that the club had received āone or twoā complaints from Muslim communities concerned that the name was a reference to the medieval Christian crusades which saw military wars waged against other faiths.
He denied the move had been made for reasons of political correctness but said that some people found the name ārather upsettingā. He added: āWe wanted more kids to pick up a cricket bat, thatās why it was devised. We were on a crusade to get children into cricket.ā
He went on: āThe name was nothing whatsoever to do with the crusades in the 11th and 12th century.ā
Which is a completely different to what they say in the BBC article.

Obviously friends with someone at the BBC and the whole thing is taxpayer funded PR.

I said “take a breath and hold it in, let it out now” then “how much of that breath was CO2, he answered 20%. This person believes everything, written, spoken or off the Web about climate change. He has Alexa on his table, asked what percentage of the atmosphere was Nitrogen, got the answer 80% Oxygen 20%. Doesn’t believe that of course. This person has 2 cars, 1 van, 1 camper van, I diesel powered digger, 1 diesel powered dumper truck, 1 petrol sit on mower and various other petrol driven garden tools. Prat of the first order! Wants everyone to drive electric! It is not Chris Packham.

Unfortunately it then winds that line up very quickly and then goes all neurotic about the UKās 1% of total emissions ( ignoring even they are down 50% since 1970 whereas China will not reach peak CO2 emissions until 2030) and reverts to the sackcloth and ashes routine with words like catastrophe etc etc.
