Start the Week 17 January 2022 THE DORRIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Is it possible that the government has finally realised that the State Broadcaster is at war with it ? And is going to do something about it – by freezing the Licence fee ? It will be a small step towards the end of the BBC in its current form – and can’t come too soon. The government must put something in the coming manifesto about changing the BBC too .

A Sunday newspaper, the Express, has a story that the PM will scrap all Pandemic restrictions in England in ten days time if the situation remains similar to now, ie. new infections falling daily. I wonder what I will be hearing on BBC R4 on the TOADY Programme tomorrow, Monday. Will it be a succession of ‘scientific experts’ stating that this is a careless thing to do and will cost lives? Will the Sucker in charge of the Labour Party say more restrictions are needed and the PM must resign?

I don’t expect for one minute they will accede graciously, so expect mask wars to kick in.

We all know already which side the BBC will be on if it presents an opportunity to have another go at Boris.

Are the Tories going to scrap the TV tax ?

I read it that Nadine was going to make the 2027 negotiations the last negotiations , ie ; ten more years after 2027 .

Now I know the Conservatives might not be in power in 2027 , but they`ll talk the talk .

The Tories are doing their usual thing , riding two horses at the same time . They are so practiced at it they dont recognise it .

They do it with immigration . Talk tough , then on Question Time with a BBC audience they put a humanitarian face on and say they want to stop the dinghy crossings because its dangerous – for the invaders . They , the Tories , will find a safer way for the invaders to get here and cut out the traffikers .

They did it with EUrope . To us they “appreciate ” our concerns , will stop the EU meddling , stand up to EUrope , stop federalisation etc . To the EUropeans they are passionate about EUrope , committed EUropeans , will play a positive role etc .

And so to the BBC . To the Daily Mail they want to reign in the BBC , bring it to account , stop it bullying pensioners , make it abide by its charter .
When interviewed on the BBC the Tory (Nadine ) is proud of the BBC , thinks the BBC is Britain , a great institution etc .

The Tory Party = the Janus Party .

Zahawi, interviewed by Robinson on Toady earlier, said that they follow the Manifesto. Zahawi who apparently came from Baghdad probably thought that working his way and integrating into the upper echelons of political power in the UK so as to learn ‘what democracy is all about’ (Ha,ha) has learnt it really is no different from being under Saddam. He can lie as well as the best of them.

Where in the Manifesto does it list the efforts of the Government to force us to abandon our petrol / diesel cars? – shortly

2015 … “Because when immigration is too high (no figure given), when the pace of change is too fast, it’s impossible to build a cohesive society.” – Theresa May 2015

2018 … “Over the years, overall, immigration has been good for the UK. It has brought people with different backgrounds, different outlooks here to the UK,” – Theresa May 2018

Electric cars are going to be a disaster, but a great profitable one for electric car manufacturers. It will be the next big thing after the vaccine that does not prevent covid.
The manufacture of EV is far more expensive then petrol engine cars. The battery requires rare earth materials. The very name tells us that it will be more expensive.
As the batteries are expensive, they have to be recycled. The minerals used are such that the recycling is very energy intensive. More unnecesary expense.

Petrol engines gives power from the primary source to where it is used- in the car., and within seconds when it is needed. It stops producing power when the its not needed.
The fuel for the EV is electricity produced from the very same fossil fuel, but at a considerable distance. More expense for transporting it by cables. It isn’t produced when required, and so has to be stored or just wasted as turning turbines. More inefficient and thus expensive.
EV batteries are far pollutant in the long term.

Petrol engines pollutant is CO2, which is not a pollutant but a life sustaining gas, and is readily absorbed by plants.

All this nonsense when we give politicians the powers to decide what “is good for the people”

But no, they had to go for the statist solution like the soviets. Result is a disaster not just in deaths but the inhuman isolation of people from their dying loved ones . This cant be remedied. How likely is that he targets the one synagogue, probably the only one in a large area, when there are hundreds of churches, mosques and temples in the area.

But everyone, including the FBI, is denying that the terrorist is an anti-Semite. Very likely the FBI and the DoJ are investigationg if he has any links with Donald Trump.

Steve Allen is very entertaining, and perfect for general background banter. I stop listening after that as there’s too much to do these days, what with the fires, cleaning, Hoovering, getting lunch ready for Senora O’Blene etc!

Biden has been a ‘bigot’ and ‘propagandist’ throughout his entire career in politics: Mark Levin
Mark Levin said, ‘Biden can barely get his act together to give a speech on any substantive topic’

The Fox News host said the Democrats are trying to implement their socialist agenda in order to consolidate power for themselves. Levin asked whether America should still be considered the United States or the “United States of the Democrat Party.”

“The Democrat Party is constantly pushing, pushing, pushing and often pushing illegalities to change our nation not for the better, but for their power,” he said.

“Why is it that the Democrat Party’s agenda, no matter how preposterous, extreme or outrageous, becomes the agenda for the nation, becomes the issue in front of the nation that has to be debated and discussed endlessly?,” Levin asked.

He added that if Americans aren’t on board with Biden’s agenda, they are considered pariahs.

“If you don’t support what the Democrats want to do, then democracy will die. Who talks like this? This is a cheap imitation of Benito Mussolini. That’s what it is,” Levin said.

“They talk about dictatorship. My God! [Biden] swings from the most outrageous, irresponsible spending bill that he can’t get passed to the most outrageous, outrageous attempt to nationalize to change our voting system, violating the federal constitution, violating the authority of the state legislatures. And if you disagree with Joe Biden and his party and the propagandists and surrogates who support it, then there’s something wrong with you,” Levin continued.

Levin believes the media and Democrats work together to destroy “Americanism” and to implement a “Marxist” agenda. One example of this, according to Levin, can be seen in the way the establishment treated former President Trump. Because Trump was an outsider, Levin said, they had to bring out the big guns to take him down.

Every night, Thelma Spalding goes round her house trying to switch off every appliance. It’s not an easy feat for the 54-year old, who relies on carers and walks with a stick. But she’s following the advice given to her by her energy company as she desperately tries to keep her fuel bills down. Thelma had to leave her job as an NHS support worker a year ago after being assaulted at work. Since then, her monthly gas and electricity bill has shot up from £44 to £99, meaning she can afford to heat only one room.

Thelma, who lives in Wednesbury in the West Midlands, is one of millions of people set to be affected by changes to the energy price cap, which sets the maximum that energy firms can charge customers on a standard tariff. It comes into effect in April and is expected to rise steeply due to a big increase in global wholesale prices. Analysis by the Resolution Foundation, a think tank focusing on living standards, suggests that a price-cap rise of more than 50% will mean average household energy bills go up by more than £700 a year, to about £2,000.

The Daily Telegraph has an interestingly headlined thought piece this morning: ‘Standing ovation addicts are really applauding themselves

Just like the alien habbit of taking the knee, which inexplicably crossed the Atlantic recently, the cultural hegemon for mindless mass performing seal impressions we learn is decidedly American:

It’s a trend that has regrettably swept over from the US: riotous applause for unexceptional performances‘ – the Telegraph is apparently concerned by the self-conscious performative antics of fellow habitués of the classical concert hall and of the opera house – apparently those venuses are open again.

But this reader is inevitably reminded of the inane NHS doorstep clappers and pot-bangers. Of course that nonsense first started in the US: ‘New York City spent two minutes clapping for coronavirus first responders‘ (CNN March 2020)

New Yorkers leaned out their windows and flooded their balconies with two minutes of applause for essential workers on Friday. They applauded the first responders, nurses, doctors and other health care workers who are helping to fight the city’s coronavirus outbreak. The applause erupted from all over the city at 7 p.m. and lasted for several minutes. The word about the clapping spread through social media… Residents of other cities across the world have taken to their windows and balconies to show their appreciation for health care workers. Italy, Spain and India all gathered to show their support for those fighting coronavirus.‘ – what a good way of letting people – who might not have noticed – know there was a world pandemic going on.

On a similar virtue-signalling note the coronaphobic ‘i’ newspaper goes with: ‘Hidden heroes of the NHS‘ – and gosh, we’ve heard so little in the media from the NHS lately (sarc) however, my GP has certainly hidden himself away. I hear others are told their family doctor is too busy earning jab premiums to spend time examining patients.

Riotous applause for unexceptional performances, indeed.

Essential workers tell i how they coped‘ – sorry, but that rastafarian-accented “tell I” gets me every time. Judging by the accompanying pic, our hardly svelte, rather generously built yet reasonably typical, I’d wager, nursey rocked out on air guitar – I’m guessing the photo credit is TikTok. Think of a white Fats Domino in PPE, pounding an axe rather than the keys.

I see the Auld Alliance is back together battling arm-in-arm shoulder-to-shoulder against the common enemy: ‘PM accused of attacking BBC to save his own skin‘ (Guardian) – that’s not an unreasonable analysis. Now, why do we think the BBC and Guardian attacked Boris? That one could be more tricky to explain.

Texas synagogue gunman was British‘ – admits the formerly patriotic Times. The only good news here is the past tense.

Scary news, scary quote marks are the order of the day at the Gruan: ‘British man named in synagogue “terror act”‘ – as the Guardianistas endevour to put a bit distance as wide as the pond between certain journalistically protected communities and terrorism. Britain has to own it in Guardian land.

Tory MPs ask what’s the difference between Sir Keir’s beer with colleagues and PM’s Downing St “work event”?‘ (Daily Mail) – in answer to that little conundrum I’d say the media treatment and emphasis as promoted by the majority of press titles and broadcasters.

I see the freebie Metro is advertising McPlant burgers again – I sense there’s at least one Serbian-born tennis champ who will be perhaps our last hold out against veganism. Kudos oncemore for the Metro’s nice line in tabloidese: ‘Go pack Djokovic

    Talking of hold outs…

And to some market news to cheer us from the FT: ‘GKS and Pfizer hold out for £60bn consumer arm bid from Unilever. Big investers optimistic

The BBC are still finding ways to squeeze out new lines on the tsunami story which might otherwise have blown itself out and which hardly troubles our print frontpages: ‘Pacific volcano: New Zealand sends flight to assess Tonga damage‘ – but then again the BBC tends not to report on bloated big pharma profits of late – on which subject one is forced to conclude… it’s an ill wind…

Anjem Choudary: Radical preacher’s public speaking ban to be lifted
        Published18 July 2021
        https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-57878910

Radical preacher Anjem Choudary’s ban on speaking in public is to be lifted as conditions which were imposed after his release from prison come to an end.

Choudary, from Ilford in east London, was jailed for five-and-a-half years in 2016 after being convicted of inviting support for the Islamic State group.

He headed a now-banned group supporting an extreme interpretation of Islam.

He was released on licence from HMP Belmarsh in 2018 and was subject to more than 20 conditions at the time.

His licence conditions, which included a ban on public speaking and talking to the media, will automatically expire at midnight.
