Start the Week 17 January 2022 THE DORRIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Is it possible that the government has finally realised that the State Broadcaster is at war with it ? And is going to do something about it – by freezing the Licence fee ? It will be a small step towards the end of the BBC in its current form – and can’t come too soon. The government must put something in the coming manifesto about changing the BBC too .

    ITV local news
Quoting #PRasNews from IPPR Labour thinktank

The 2021 allocations of the Levelling Up Fund, which is controlled centrally, is an investment of just £32 per person in the North

This compares to a £413 per person drop in the North in annual council service spending over the decade

A £413 drop in council spending is not a loss to local economy
The money is originally collected in taxes
Tax £413 less, that’s money in the hands of the public who spend it instead.

Bet the cut is entirely due to council houses being floated off into Housing Associations

‘People without kids pay for schools!’ Jeremy Vine bats back criticisms of BBC licence fee
JEREMY Vine challenged the view that people who do not use all of the BBC should not pay for it as he listed off several instances of taxpayers’ money going on services they may never use.

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker also showed his support and wrote: “The BBC is revered, respected and envied around the world.

“It should be the most treasured of national treasures. Something true patriots of our country should be proud of.”

Complaint Summary: ‘Shocking’ levels of denial remain-from 2000 folk

      Full Complaint:

Dear Winston Smith at the BBC Complaints Department who is paid a salary whilst others are prosecuted for not paying your salary even though they don’t want to hear what you say,

I listened to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 and he kept saying there were high levels of Holocaust denial (5%)… but not once (whilst I listened) did he say that the poll was from 2000 people and not once did he say (whilst I listened) what the raw data showed. I really am shocked Winston that you let this NewsSpeak through, could the BBC not have done another POLL to verify the results? You have £3.5 billion at your disposal and all Jeremy Vine can do is scare people. The link on the website does not link to the original data .. “Holocaust Memorial Day: ‘Shocking’ levels of denial remain” {27jan2019} “WE RELEASE RESEARCH TO MARK HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY 2019” Using an online methodology, we surveyed 2,006 nationally representative UK adults aged 16+. The respondents were randomly selected from an online market research access panel. Quotas were set to ensure the overall responses are representative of ONS UK population data based on age, gender and region. Given the sample size and the percentage of respondents who expressed this view, the Confidence Interval is +/-0.95% for a Confidence Level of 95%. Here are some words from Orwell’s resignation letter . “I am tendering my resignation because for some time past I have been conscious that I was wasting my own time and the public money on doing work that produces no result.
I believe that in the present political situation the broadcasting of British propaganda to India is an almost hopeless task. Whether these broadcasts should be continued at all is for others to judge, but I myself prefer not to spend my time on them when I could be occupying myself with journalism which does produce some measureable effect.”

Thank you again for contacting us,

Last week BBC Radio 4 Extra featured the Welsh song Myfanwy as part of the Soul Music series.

‘Some say’ it has a beautiful melody, though personally I find that hard to pick out when sung by the traditional male voice choir, (too busy listening to the different colours of tones I expect).

Something missing from the programme was a translation of the words into English – perhaps because it rather loses its emotional appeal then?

Just struck me, it is of course the Welsh version of The Carnival Is Over, which in turn is supposed to come from a Russian folk song!

Now I will let you all get back to ‘Partygate’.

Tory MP Steve Baker on BBC says his constituents have voted 60 to 1 against Johnson..

Sorry don’t believe him, I smell a rat.

Fine but how many took part, 60-1 with the people who bothered to write in.

Guardian released a pole earlier stating 40% of the grass root Tories voted against Johnson, but 60% still supported him, although many reluctantly.

Bakers close mate Andrew Bridgen MP Came out against Johnson yesterday

    Steve Baker has history…!!!!!

The failure of Socialism which typifies the Scottish Nazis but although the BBC reports the facts, it does not report the reason or the causes.

The BBC and Labour Party are saying that the Conservatives are abolishing the TV tax and trying to stop illegal immigration to Help Save Boris .
In other words they are making popular policies to Help Save Boris .
As though you should make unpopular policies, like killing all the first born or Decapitate Fluffy Kittens Day .
I can’t understand why politicians think that populism is wrong – in a democracy?!
Personally I hope more politicians feel their backs against a wall and advocate populist policies to save themselves.

GB News are the only news station that is giving out the freedom of information request asking “How many deaths are caused ‘by’ covid alone and not ‘with’ covid”

We are told by everyone that over 150,000 have died but the true figure is 17,500 +/- a few hundred. I haven’t got the exact numbers in front of me but it’s about right.

The question lots of us on here have been asking, well, there’s the answer and it’s lower than the flu deaths.

I’m sure Stew will come on with the more accurate numbers soon enough (I didn’t write them down whilst watching it) but at last we have the truth coming out.

I wonder if the msm will ever get round to following the GB News lead and who are showing the lot of them how to be a proper news channel.
    Well done GBN.

    • StewGreen says:

17,371 deaths of covid-only ..including up to 3rd quarter of 2021
      2020 9,400 … 2021 until Oct1 : 7,971

If you Twitter search : GBnews deaths shows you a video

      • StewGreen says:

I think the 17K stat is a bit of a BS stat
mainly cos counting raw deaths in things affecting the elderly is a bit BS
Counting raw deaths is only good for trend spotting
To see true impact you need to count Quality Adjusted Life Years lost

However there other problems with dismissing it down to 17,000
by dismissing co-morbidities especially if they are mild, say mild diabetes

  18. Up2snuff says:

The day’s Covid statistics are out. It looks like the PM was correct to insist on Plan B and no more than Plan B. Will the BBC praise Boris Johnson tomorrow on TOADY? Will they point out that Keir Starmer’s and Sadiq Khan’s approach of total Lockdown would have done harm to businesses and harm to families and harm to peoples’ lives? I think I can make an educated guess on that front.

The average area in England had 942 new infections the first drop to three figures for some time.

Beeboids , for just 43 pence per day you can become a member of UKIP/ Reform/ Conservative party .

  21. StewGreen says:

BBC Panorama tonight “Britain’s most dangerous roads”
The police watchdog says a reduction in dedicated traffic officers has left roads more dangerous

Panorama investigates the roads that kill a jumbo jet’s worth of people every three months.

    Jumbo Jet capacity is 467
    Why use that analogy ?
Around 4,000/year people die on all roads
    that’s 1,000 every 3 months.

    • Sluff says:

…..or to put it another way, the number of deaths is the same as the licence fee in £ for 14 people.

2000 deaths on the roads in a whole year in a country with 30 million cars and where the eco-fanatics opposition to building more of the safest of all roads -motorways – has resulted in a number of them.

BBC and ITV beginning the reveal of the absolute and sickening suffering of the ordinary citizens of Afghanistan…

There is a hint that the US and the UK have blood on their hands over this so far.

Of course no mention of the barbaric practices of the Taliban just hints that somehow the West must take the blame.

Having said that it’s hinted that it’s the generic West and not the total idiot in the White House who has single handedly created this shit show.

The mighty US have walked away from the situation and handed the Country over to a bunch of lunatics in 4×4’s

The US military are therefore humiliated. The general population in Afghanistan are abandoned and all to appease the Muslim World by a pathetic and weak president in the US.

It is therefore hard for me to have any sympathy with the population of this shithole now.

It is what it is and now the only outcome is to let it burn.

Hopefully the US will wake up to the lunacy of their choices including their choice of president and make amends in due course.

    • Sluff says:

Are these the same ordinary citizens who waved the Taliban into Kabul without a shot being fired?
Why don’t Taliban-friendly Muslim countries put some money in to alleviate all the suffering?
Why does the Taliban stop embezzling the country’s resources and spend money on its own population?

Questions you can be absolutely sure neither the BBC nor, sadly, ITV will ask.

Hmmmmmmm worrying rumours coming from the Blue Labour party.

We have a strategy called “save big dog” which is basically a set of disreputable policy changes which attempt to woo disillusioned voters and MPs back to Johnsons side.

The fact is that the Tories know Boris is a Marxist or has been influenced by Marxists and unable to resist, and they know how unpopular those Marxist policies have been, so they have now attempted to reverse them, in what they call “Red Meat”, but what happens when Johnson either goes or is saved? Will it be back to Marxism as usual ? Will the threat of the end of the licence fee suddenly morph back into another round of Royal Charter extension?

I don’t trust Blue Labour and their propensity to lean to the far left these days.

These US issues remind me of the biased bbc and our own liberals / marxists and their pet obsessions:

Some sanity across the pond amongst the liberal, marxist madness:

Virginia’s new AG Jason Miyares announces major investigations within hours of taking office
New Republican attorney general announces crackdown on soft-on-crime parole policies and probe into Loudoun bathroom rape case

Miyares wrote. “The Virginia Parole Board broke the law when they let out murders, rapists, and cop killers early on their sentences without notifying the victims. Loudoun Country Public Schools covered up a sexual assault on school grounds for political gain, leading to an additional assault of a young girl.”

Loudoun County became a focal point in Youngkin’s gubernatorial race against former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe following the arrest of a 14-year-old male high school student, who identifies as nonbinary, who has been found guilty of raping a female student in a school bathroom. That student was transferred to another school where he allegedly raped another student and the district has been accused of covering up the crime which resulted in one of the alleged victim’s parents being arrested at a school board meeting. ”

And the marxists respond with more lies:

Virginia State Senator Louise Lucas tweeted that Miyares fired the “entire” civil rights division, which Miyares’s office tells Fox News is not accurate.

“This is incorrect information,” Miyares spokeswoman Victoria LaCivita said. “There are 12 individuals who work in the Office of Civil Rights – only two personnel changes were made.

“This guy wasn’t on your radar? Mr. President, you gave him a visa two weeks ago to come into this country. What kind of visa was it? Did you vet him? Was he on a watch list? Usually, the Feds are all over these people,” Watters said. “And then they do a raid immediately in England with associates or people affiliated with them. So Scotland Yard didn’t know anything about this? MI6 had no clue about this guy?”

  33. Zephir says:

As we all know, our bbc was entirely complicit in this, but still toes the party line:

“The media are the only reason Joe Biden is president and the first place. Biden didn’t campaign for the job, he didn’t hold rallies or give speeches or tell the public what he might do if elected. No, for nearly a year Joe Biden stayed home hiding in terror from infectious voters. Instead, he let news organizations make his case for him, which they did. The media hid Biden’s faults, they attacked and censored his critics. In general, they gave no hint at all that you might be electing a senile mannequin with a lifelong history of sleazy behavior. Voters had no clue, they didn’t know who Joe Biden actually was. And yet suddenly, news organizations have decided to tell them. It’s pretty amazing to watch it. ”

RIANNA KEILAR, CNN: President Joe Biden has had a very tough week with setbacks for his agenda. COVID complications and the Supreme Court blocking his vaccine mandate.

CHUCK TODD, NBC: One year in Mr. Biden has the second-lowest approval rating ever measured in the White House. And it has never been less popular nationally.

MARGARET BRENNAN, CBS: 2022 is not exactly off to a good start for the Biden administration.

JOHN KING, CNN: The country is frustrated, his party is frustrated, we are two weeks into a midterm election year, a few days away from a one-year anniversary, and it is very dark for him right now.

ERIN BURNETT, CNN: Now he’s in the midst of what famous children’s book writer called “a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad” time.

    • Zephir says:

CHRIS CUOMO: How are you feeling?

(CNN) DON LEMON: I almost can’t talk right now because of the emotion. … Everyone is welcome under this tent. We don’t care who you are. We don’t care if you voted for us or not. You are all part of this American experiment. I was so overwhelmed to hear that. I don’t care what people think of me if they think I’m biased or not. I don’t care. I’m very emotional. So when you ask me how I’m feeling right now, I’m sorry, that is all I can tell you. This is how I feel right now. I’m so happy to have this platform to be able to do this. I may not have it after this, but I really don’t care. I am so happy.

“We don’t care if you voted for “us,” not Joe Biden, for “us.” Meaning Joe Biden’s friends and coconspirators over at CNN. “I really don’t care, I’m so happy.” That is the tape. There you have it. If this were a trial, that would be the pivotal evidence. The glove fits, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. You cannot acquit. The media foisted this Biden calamity on the United States, they got him elected, then they lied and distracted the population as he and the marionette operators who controlled him wrecked a lot of this country. That happened and it’s too late now to deny responsibility. These people are fully implicated in what they did.”

Who betrayed Anne Frank?‘ asks Daniel Finklestein in the Times. They now reckon it was an inside job. The evil forces persuaded one jew to inform on his compatriots so as to save himself.

Given the regular prominent contributions of the achingly soft centrist-Tory Danny Finklestien, perhaps one should re-dub the formerly patriotic Times as The Jewish Informer. Careful now with these banterish jokes: ‘Peers… voted to make misogyny a hate crime in England and Wales in another government defeat.‘ (BBC) – these hatey crimes do proliferate – and really we wouldn’t want to risk hatey crime accusations. Although one has to say, all mention of the actual anti-semitic terror attack in the US carried out by a – or perhaps in collaboration with a group – of certain ‘Britons‘ has very quickly been expunged from the BBC online news frontpage, so apparently some very hateful real world acts are counted as no big thing BBC-wise.

Seems the UK is not the only western nation with leaky borders: ‘British jihadist let into US despite convictions‘ (Telegraph) – that’ll be his criminal convictions, not his religious orientation. One Donald Trump tried to fix that as part of his election mandate but the US courts threw it out.

A good media story these days needs to kick off with some fear…

Fears… online world is the “Wild West”‘ (Daily Mirror) – Ye-Ha!!!

Is this some expert talking to the Mirror? Bill Gates… Tim Berners-Lee… Jeff Bezos? Nope: ‘We must talk to our children about the dangers online. Sophie Wessex writes exclusively for the Mirror

Frankly, luv, your Highness(?) (Countess? – these titles come and go so quick these days), I tend to have to persuade my kids to talk to me about how to use computers and the internet. They know more about it than I do.

    What is it with tennis?

António Horta-Osório, the former Lloyds bank boss, has resigned as Credit Suisse chairman after breaking Covid-19 rules to attend Wimbledon‘ (Times)

Apparently, judging by their personal conduct and behaviours, our political and moneyed elites thought lockdown was just a bit of a racket.

Even the stuffed shirt, seventeen times isolating – bore the hind legs off a deaf and dumb dead donkey – Labour leader was snapped going for a pint. Sir Beer Starmer?

I’ll leave you with Matt in the Telegraph – a satirst after my own heart. He has a couple of chaps chatting on a park bench: “While Keir Starmer was drinking beer I was isolating with Covid. Having seen that photo, I think I was having more fun

I have to say in all my years watching the BBC I can genuinely say I have never seen such appalling behaviour by the presenters and correspondents as I am witnessing now, it’s akin to a feeding frenzy.

It’s now obvious they are no longer even trying to hide there appalling bias.

When presenting they smirk, laugh, fabricate the facts to suit there agenda, only put one side of the story, they find and interview people who obviously fall in line with there views and agenda, when there is a good news story they always endeavour to find a down side.

My only hope is when all this is over the bast–ds at the BBC get there just desserts, sadly,I won’t hold my breath.

Now that it is absolutely clear that Cummings is doing everything he can to destroy nut nut it’s about time he did a few interviews….
….but I suppose he will be judging the right time to do them for maximum effect – unless he can engineer nut nut s’ resignation without having to ‘go public ‘.

I think the public have got beyond the ‘eye rolling ‘ stage – and are being diverted from the prospect of the winter ending and a better 2022 …. – unless the bills can’t be paid of course …

The below letter was submitted today (31 July 2020) to the BBC on behalf of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ organisations. We are calling, in one voice, for a full and transparent explanation as to why trans organisations were removed from the BBC’s former ‘Gender Identity’ page. Currently, no trans organisations covering England, Scotland and Wales are included in the new ‘LGBT Issues‘ page.

TOADY Watch #1 – Disappointment looms large

Some of us on here had hoped that the PM’s former fixer had been a skilful double agent working to a plan. Now it it does look – as Rick Nobinson said on TOADY – that Cummings was going for his old boss out of revenge. Unless there is a big reveal with files being pushed across desks of D-Gs, Newspaper Editors, certain Party leaders and a Statement to the House on Thursday then sadly Rick appears to be right.

In the report of the debate in the HoC of Nadine’s announcement re capping the License Fee it was claimed by a Tory MP that the BBC sold 700,000 fewer licenses last year than the year before , or about a 4% drop. Excellent news, if this trend continues coupled with the cap on the LF fee , the BBC could be in financial difficulty in a couple years time.
Every effort should be made by every one with a patriotic inclination to accelerate the rate of decline of the numbers who pay the LF.
