Opinion: Ireland’s Travellers’ culture is part of the country’s intangible cultural heritage, but is ignored, rejected and marginalised

Earlier this month, Seanad Eireann passed the draft legislation which would amend the Education Act 1988 to include Traveller culture and history as an obligatory part of the curriculum at primary and secondary school. According to Senator Collette Kelleher, this is the first significant legislative inclusion following the recognition of Travellers’ ethnic minority status in 2017.

The incident on November 29 last year saw about 40 young Jewish people on the bus subjected to an anti-Semitic attack – which saw a group of men make obscene gestures, swear and throw a shopping basket at them.

But the ECU did not agree that the BBC’s coverage relating to the incident on Oxford Street amounted to victim-blaming and it defended the use of ‘alleged’ to describe the abuse

Black mental health nurse, 62, is struck off after he tells a misconduct hearing the profession’s regulating body is racist and run like a ‘sugarcane plantation’

In April 2016, a panel found he ‘inappropriately’ let a student nurse do observations on a patient.

The following month, he gave another patient an injection into his thigh rather than his bottom and incorrectly recorded the details, the hearing was told.

A previous hearing – held in 2017 – then concluded that his fitness to practice was impaired due to misconduct.

Zeph…… Doesnt’ surprise me. During my few years spent in Mental Health, the number of incompetent (and cocaine high) elderly care Consultants from the WI who arrived as locums would not be believed by the media. The work of two of them was double checked by senior nurses who doubted their proficiency, and who were rightly aggrieved because these locums were on a ridiculous salary and their work had to be overseen !!!!

I’m getting a bit fed up with the approach of the BBC and other media outlets which headline their ‘news’ with the claim that ‘ PM… or Government MInister…. or Senior Tory….etc….. deny that they have done this, that or the other’.

This is usually brought about by these media reps making up, or repeating, some ridiculous claim by an opponent/known critic, with which the Beeboids/MSM reporters immediately rush off to demand a response from whoever they can get their mitts on…

….without, in the first place, assessing whether the claimant they talked to initially, is a reliable source for such information, nor, in the second place, even attempting to verify in the slightest what they are claiming… then pretending (and Angela Rayner is a prime beneficiary of the BBC in this respect) that the repetition of such claims is, essentially, de facto proof of the suspicions.

The Real Anthony Fauci book has detail about Gates’ tactics dealing with the media – his people target their funding very closely in coordination with other activities. Harradine’s cherry picking from Kennedy’s book doesn’t do the scope or the MO of BMGF goons justice – they operate a web of other outfits by proxy.

Have you read any of it?

As far as the BBC is concerned I recall a Gates v. Jeremy Paxman interview , likely 20 years ago where Paxman was plainly terrified of wandering off a softball script + offending Gates – there seemed to be people on the other side of the camera who’d put the frighteners on him.

More and more evidence is emerging of Joe and Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings with China, Russia and Ukraine. The amounts of cash that flowed to the Bidens is staggering.

Will the Biden Broadcasting Corporation cover the story? Of course not.

The fall of Rome at the hands of refugees:

In this case it was Visigoths migrating south of the Danube which was begrudgingly allowed by the Empire. The Visigoths were fleeing from the Huns. Citizens of the Empire were not too enamoured of the Goths at all, who they regarded as barbarians, since their practices were outlandish, and Goths were not too enamoured of Rome, thinking the same; indeed the Goths and the Romans had been constantly sparring before the Huns came from the east. Consequently there was little integration or commonality between the two and the SPQR resented having the Goths within their borders whilst the Goths resented having to live under Roman rule. The practical upshot was that the Goths were treated with disdain and exploited by the Romans, whilst in turn the Goths took any opportunity to buck the system. The Romans thus had a dangerous enemy within the borders of the empire. Eventually the Goths revolted, routed a Roman army, and killed Valens at Adrianople in 378 AD. A truce was negotiated but in 410 AD King Alaric of the Goths was able to raise an army that sacked Rome and so weakened it that all the other Germans were able to surge across the borders and cause the western empire to collapse. Had Rome not offered shelter to the refugees, this may not have happened, or at least not so quickly.

Haringey: Man in court over Jewish ‘hate crime’ attack
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-60166480

It’s become something of a sport to read BBC articles which are against the agenda and look for their tricks to cover up the issues they don’t want to talk about. When you see them, you can now usually guess who was behind it.

This one has ‘hate crime’ in apostrophes implying it’s just somebody else’s opinion and the word ‘racist’ is very carefully avoided.

And the more difficult it is to find out who did it, the more likely it is that he is black. After a bit of a struggle with google, I found this:

    %2Fmethode%2Ftimes%2Fprod%2Fweb%2Fbin%2F24f5748c-7fa4-11ec-bbb7-54d5cd4b43b0.jpg

The worst part is that this is absolutely normal now. So much for ‘unbiased and impartial’.

Have they been touring the TV / Radio stations condemning in the strongest way ? Has starmer said anything ?
Or are they hiding behind ‘legal proceedings ‘ to stay quiet to impress their anti semitic ( Islamic ) friends ..

In these situations, Lammy will not condemn the attack, he will condemn racism in general so it includes racism against black people.

He doesn’t give a shiny sh1t that these 2 got attacked. There’s nothing in it for him.

Of course we are talking about Boris as Prime Minister – but situationally speaking – his future as Tory leader. Today’s Daily Express goes all meta and self-referential: ‘PM’s supporters circulate iconic Express frontpage in warning to rebels‘ – evidence exhibit one: A photograph of a sacked Margaret Thatcher beside the historic headline: ‘What have they done?

My personal take would be to borrow a leaf from the nanny-statist leftist handbook since they tend to abide by the Hilaire Belloc line: ‘always keep-a hold of nurse – for fear of finding something worse!

Our BBC and Guardian are both playing odd semantics with their statistics this morning.

Omicron’s fall has plateaued – should we worry?‘ (BBC)

I think I know what they mean with reference to the figures and I certainly understand what answer to their rhetorical question it is the BBC are prompting from their audience there.

One-in-two 30-year old women now child free‘ (Guardian) – that’ll be half then?

We linger on the frontpage of the Graun for the most unusual sudden appearance of an odd curio of a black and white pic of an Edwardian tram. Have we mistakenly picked up a copy of Trams Magazine, Tramway and Light Railway Review, Yours Retro, Best of British or The Oldie?

There’s a British bobby in proper uniform, helmet and well-trimmed ‘tash. The somewhat portly Mayor of Kingston upon Thames stands on the platform of the bunting decorated tram, this eminent if now lost to posterity local celebrity decked out in shiny top hat and ceremonial chain – doing a fine impression of Thomas the Tank Engine’s Fat Controller, and all the chaps in view are wearing hats – whether they be bowlers or flat caps.

So what is it that promps our Guardianistas to delve the archival photo library for this obscure early twentieth century British mise en scène with which to surprise and delight their left-liberal Friday morning audience? Exclusive, no less.

Wrestler revealed as UK’s first black Olympian. Louis Bruce, who worked as a tram driver… took part in the 1908 Olympics in London‘ – stop the tram… I mean… the world, I want to get off. Seriously, this makes frontpage news? A minor footnote in the Guiness Book of records, perhaps.

Serendipitously apropos, the Times also wishes to focus our minds on the world of the fin de siècle – although not to blackwash our history: ‘The truth about the gilded age. Julian Fellowes’s new drama‘ – wait a minute.. stop that tram… ‘Because of Black women, the period drama ‘The Gilded Age’ has a Black story line done right‘ (The Washington Post – masthead line Democracy dies in darkness)

Having had ourselves an all mighty groan let’s have a laugh in salute to a favourite comic of mine who somehow straddled the generations – Barry Cryer: ‘A life of fun, joy, love and silliness‘ – according to the Express. Kudos to the habitually morose ‘i’ newspaper who crack a smile with a gag care of top banana Barry Cryer: ‘I’m so old I’ve stopped buying green bananas

I remember him recounting tales of his early career as a comic at the old Windmill Theatre in Soho with the tough gig of filling in between stripper acts. The premises displayed a notice to their clientele warning “No artificial aids to vision allowed” some dirty old fella in a raincoat had his optician contruct built-in binoculars afixed to his regular spectacles. Unfortunately, as Barry recalled, he promptly tripped and fell up the stairs on entering the theatre, doing himself a mischief.

The FT has a new term for us: ‘Subvarient sends covid cases higher. Covid case in the UK are rebounding… among schoolchildren… ‘ – I guess we’re testing the kids a lot and track and tracing. I suppose it saves all that bother of nagging your mum to write a sick note. ‘Omicron subvarient BA.2‘ – is that some new self-assessed GCSE grade? ‘…shows early signs of being more infectious‘ – you could have knocked me down with a feather.

FT Datawatch pitches in with a poke at Boris: ‘68 per cent of the British public…‘ (They mean to say 68% of self-selected survey correspondents) ‘… say they never knowingly broke lockdown rules during 2020‘ – sad to say we very quickly move on from apparent raw data to pure political editorialising: ‘...despite Tory MP Crispin Blunt saying that “most homes” in the UK broke covid rules as he defended Boris Johnson‘ – oh well, tell you what FT, I’m convinced. Let’s sack Boris, go back into perpetual lockdown and rejoin the EU.

And on a war footing footnote : ‘Ukraine crisis: Biden warns Russia may invade next month‘ (BBC) – this has to be about the most predicted, forshadowed fortold, forcast, surprise invasion of all time.

The reality is that liberals consider black people to be little more than children, who need to be mollycoddled and patronised at all times. Partly this is misplaced feelings of guilt over slavery; partly sexual fetishisation; partly a recognition that Africa has achieved relatively little in a historical context (contrast with China, India, Persia, Europe). But above all a form of racism in which white liberals can assert their superiority by being the only people who can ‘endorse’ the worthiness of black people. Consequently, any ‘achievement’ has to be over-emphasised, as liberals do not consider black people of being able to do much at all. To paraphrase Dr Samuel Johnson:

“A black person doing anything is like a dog’s walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all.”

Liberals simply cannot see beyond the colour of a person’s skin or their gender (either of them) and judge them as an individual.

The BBC SHOULD be asking why the SAGE predictions were so wildy inaccurate (again). How much panic and overreaction did the ‘1 million cases a day’ and Omicron causing ‘25,000 to 75,000 deaths by the end of April’ cause ?.

The BBC want panic and unrest towards the government in their desperate struggle to reverse Brexit. They don’t care one bit what damage they do to the coutnry in the process. They truly are traitors in the spirit of of the word.
