The BBC were in a real tizzy in the Noon Friday News bulletin on R4. Would the Sue Gray Report be published at all? Would it be published in part? Would the PM try to alter it? Had the Metropolitan Police asked for parts of it to be withheld? I think we would all like to know if there were any BBC journalists at any of these Downing Street Parties gatherings. And also, will the Police be interviewing Laura Kuenssberg and Pippa Crerar and other staff at the BBC and Daily Mirror?

As expected , not funny .

As expected , not one jibe against the dementia sufferer Biden , but one against : ;:; Ex president Trump .

It was about Ukraine. The bit of the world where the stumbling clot leader of the free world says Putin could take some of the Ukraine because he ,Bumbling Biden ,doesn’t know how to deal with with a small incursion.
And the BBC implies Trump is in Putins pocket!

Trump brought a lot more peace to the Middle East. Biden brought the Taliban to rule Afghanistan.

GWF apologies, but there is a longer version of this which shows the comedian really struggling with his humiliation. I hadn’t seen this before but it is pitiful to watch. I think people should see it though.
      You’ll see what I mean.

I shared it around as soon as I found it. A very nice but very left friend of mine in Northern NZ couldn’t understand if it was a parody or not or if BBC1 really existed. Here is my explanation, as I have been away from the UK for a number of years I have may have got a few details wrong but am open to correction. (excuse Typos)

      Dear Katy,

      ‘BBC One’ exists.

Quite clearly you are a trifle confused. Allow me to explain.

Book burning was a practice carried out by the Nazi’s on books and authors they did not like. This was a bad thing!
These days it takes the form of banning, boycotting and threatening of authors and publishers that the Left mob don’t like including such people as Shakespeare, Dickens, Orwell and anybody who has written anything at anytime that diverges from the woke narrative. This is a good thing! It’s okay when the Left do it, donchya know?
The burning event takes place at the world famous George Floyd stadium in Islington. It used to be called the Aung San Suu Kyi Arena after the Burmese freedom leader another hero of the Left, until it was discovered that she didn’t like Muslims enough thereby deemed unworthy of their fawning devotion and it was renamed in honour of the career criminal and addict George Floyd. The stadium is situated in an area of London called Islington, famous for it’s production of Champagne Socialists, and, you will be pleased to know, is made completely from non-existent materials.

The comedian who you see, is undergoing a self-criticism course. He told a funny joke somebody, somewhere at some place in time was offended by it, possibly even before it was written. But that doesn’t matter! Nor does it matter if most people in the crowd have never heard it. The main point is that the man obviously doesn’t understand why he is evil or why his words are so shocking to any self-respecting member of the Stasi.

Z Cars was a police drama a few years back and was very popular with the viewers. We now know that this was a bad thing!
It was not inclusive! LGBTXYZ Cars has replaced it and reflect our new values where thought crimes and speech crimes take up most of police time, quite rightly, and old fashioned crimes like burglary, rape and murder are not a priority.

Race-Bait is a popular programme among progressives. It is a combination of old time witch hunting and musical chairs. The panel call out a racist each week but never know when they may be caught so the object is to keep accusing in more extreme ways over ever more minor incidents and that way you won’t end up as Racist of the Week.

Emily Maitlis has her own show on in which she can denounce anybody and everything she likes, and is allowed to get things wrong be exceedingly prejudiced (to non woke people, of course) be exceedingly rude and get facts wrong and not face any criticism or get the sack. The name of her programme is ‘news speak’ and must not under any circumstances be confused with the Orwellian term ‘newspeak’ from his novel 1984. Oh no no no no no no, nothing remotely like it!

As for the self-flagellating middle-class liberal rally, I know you have been on many like this so you need no explanation.

I am sure you enjoyed the dancing Greta at doomsday gardens, a pity the clip wasn’t longer she might have sent the crowd into ecstasy by screaming “How Dare You” in to the mic.

The reference to Gary Lineker needs explaining as you do not like sport (because it gives men pleasure). Gary was a top Soccer (not as bad as rugby) player who has made a name for himself outside the sports field by doing two jobs. Firstly he gets a huge salary from the BBC for making woke statements on a wide range of political issues which he doesn’t have a clue about and secondly by advertising potato chips on commercial TV stations. One of the things that Gary has actually done is to give shelter to a refugee! The situation in UK is that they have been subjected to a decade of mass immigration and the majority of Brits said, “Enough, we’ve done our bit” This was shocking to the Wokerati who said Britain had not taken in enough. We need more and more they said from, platform, stage and pulpit and the good people of Britain weren’t really good people but horrible, nasty, racist plebs. The denunciations went on and on and the shamed people of Britain felt bad about themselves until one day some misfit had the temerity to ask a number of these shouting celebrities how many they had taken in. This was unfair because many of these people only had three or for luxury properties why should they be doing their bit? However the question was repeatedly put to them and it was quietly explained that they would be quite happy to share these properties but, er, they wouldn’t. They explained that the immigrants would not be happy there. Social workers (and who knows better than them) had told them so, and they would be much happier living in the streets amongst working people and others lower orders. So the preaching celebs continued on with their sweet happy way not practicing what they were advocating. Gary, however was the exception, he took in a grand total of one refugee. I’m sure that’s not true about making him live in the garage in fact Gary is probably building him his own minaret even as we speak.

The names of the soccer teams have been changed slightly eg Queens Park Rangers = Trans Park Rangers

I hope things have been made clear to you now.

I have distributed the video to all my friends and don’t expect to have any left tomorrow morning

The reprehensible and twisted Trudeau has described the Huge caravan of truckers protesting and which is probably the biggest protest in Canada’s history as a fringe minority….sooner or later this must end in violence as these blind elites continue to ignore the clear messages coming at them. The message is “enough of your lying crap, we are done with it get out of the way or we will take you out”.

The Western World has become infected with slugs like Trudeau but I believe they are running out of road and a massive reckoning is coming and it will come from the common man not the ineffectual politicians jockeying for position and honours.

And now, a couple of ‘famous’ woke Canadian has-beens, firstly Neil Young and now Joni Mitchell, have absolutely no problem with Mr ‘Waste-of-Space’ Trudeau, their Prime MInister, conveniently having to be in COVID isolation rather than meeting representatives from a 43-mile long protest convoy, and his condemnation of these Canadians exercising their their rights, freedoms and values, because, they are apparently, from his viewpoint, ‘undermining the rights, freedoms and values of Canada ‘.

So now Young and Mitchell are demanding that Spotify remove a right-wing journalist/podcast, Joe Rogan, because they don’t like what he says….

….listen, snowflakes, if you don’t like what others are saying, then don’t be cowards and try to get them cancelled….front up, create your own podcasts/blogs, and generate multi-millions of subscribers by putting forward your own cogent arguments.

Nah – thought not – much easier to try to get woke liberals to demand cancellation of someone whose views you don’t agree with.

‘As Ferguson says: ‘It’s a Communist one-party state, we said. We couldn’t get away with it in Europe, we thought…..‘And then Italy did it. And we realised we could.’ ’

The government used a campaign of fear to terrorise us into obedience and compliance with its covid lockdowns and draconian restrictions….it was able to do this so successfully because the media, the BBC in particular, didn’t just sit silently asking no questions, but actively joined in and spread the fear, ramped it up indeed, becoming propaganda mouthpieces for the government.

They allowed this to happen….from the Telegraph….and oddly, given the BBC’s keenness to report all those ‘letters’ from distinguished scientists that supported lockdowns, in this case they seem to have not bothered…..

‘Government nudge unit ‘used grossly unethical tactics to scare public into Covid compliance’ ‘

‘The Government’s “grossly unethical” uses of its “nudge unit” inflated fear among the public during the Covid pandemic, psychologists have said – prompting MPs to launch an investigation into scare adverts.

A group of psychologists have written to Parliament’s Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee, warning that a team of civil servants dedicated to “nudging” public behaviour during the pandemic were unaccountable and unethical.

The letter’s 40 professional signatories – led by Dr Gary Sidley, a retired clinical psychologist – said they opposed the use of dramatic adverts, which included slogans such as: “If you go out you can spread it, people will die.”

They also condemned the use of “images of the acutely unwell in intensive care units” on billboard and television adverts, as well as the “macabre mono focus on showing the number of Covid-19 deaths without mention of mortality from other causes or the fact that, under normal circumstances, around 1,600 people die each day in the UK”.

The signatories said it was “highly questionable whether a civilised society should knowingly increase the emotional discomfort of its citizens as a means of gaining their compliance”.

The letter added: “Government scientists deploying fear, shame and scapegoating to change minds is an ethically dubious practice that in some respects resembles the tactics used by totalitarian regimes such as China, where the state inflicts pain on a subset of its population in an attempt to eliminate beliefs and behaviour they perceive to be deviant.”

The psychologists also warned that “scare ads” have had unintended consequences.

“Shaming and scapegoating have emboldened some people to harass those unable or unwilling to wear a face covering,” they wrote.

“More disturbingly, the inflated fear levels will have significantly contributed to the many thousands of excess non-Covid deaths that have occurred in people’s homes, the strategically-increased anxieties discouraging many from seeking help for other illnesses.”’

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/01/28/grossly-unethical-downing-street-nudge-unit-accused-scaring/

In 1951 Hannah Arendt wrote the below as she explored the rise of dictatorships and the use of terror to control people….

‘A fundamental difference between modern dictatorships and all other tyrannies of the past is that terror is no longer used as a means to exterminate and frighten opponents, but as an instrument to rule masses of people who are perfectly obedient.

In order to establish a totalitarian regime, terror must be presented as an instrument for carrying out a specific ideology; and that ideology must have won the adherence of many, and even a majority, before terror can be stabilized. ‘

If you have any respect for the BBC ask yourself why they are refusing to report on the massive column of truckers protesting in Canada, a phenomenon unknown in recent history and why they are not reporting on the thousands of police officers in the USA attending the funeral of a murdered white police officer, after all they were all over the bloody Floyd case. It speaks volumes. It’s a can of worms that they can’t bury for ever and I hope it bites them in the arse in due course. Eventually the the truth will out and hopefully sink the whole stinking ship that is the BBC.

We need a truly unbiased National Broadcasting service that reports the news not their own take and position on it which is what we have right now.

When a national news service like the BBC starts to choose what to report and what not to report they have lost the right to objectively report the news and they have become simply a political agency.

The BBC’s reporting on the Met Police intervention has been pretty abysmal….a day of pure speculation…naturally none of it good…..the government is whitewashing something, this is a cover up…maybe, just maybe Sue Grey found something far more serious than an illicit birthday party…maybe she found emails that had been ‘deleted’ revealing something more incriminating way beyond mere rule-bending! Of course that may not have happened, it’s just an example of what might be…but…but….

So…what did Sue Grey have to say? Will she publish, what will she publish, what is it that the police think might prejudice their investigation? Maybe ask the police what they meant by prejudicing their investigation?

Didn’t hear a single mention of the BBC asking any such questions to them…instead it preferred endless speculation that conjured up the worst case scenarios….the BBC throwing mud regardless of fact in the hope that somewhere down the line, the next election perhaps, some of this will stick in people’s minds even if totally untrue.

The BBC’s very own ‘nudge’ operation.

And while we’re at it , a total overhaul of the civil service bureaucracy, bringing openness and accountability.
No more lies and obfuscations from them .
A new contract which makes them sign up to endeavour to work in the British people’s interest , not their own , the EU’s or any globalist ideology. No more Gramscians working in any civil service office .
An overhaul of their pay structure and no early retirements with huge pensions .
And no knighthoods, gongs or anything like that – unless it can be proved any one of them went well over and above his pay grade to give outstanding value to the British taxpayer.

….and, Pugnazious, where is all the condemnation of those very people who were so maddened (and I definitely accuse the BBC of being a significant party to this) at perhaps not being able to get Boris Johnston ousted, that they were demanding that the police get involved, search for criminal cases, etc., etc.?

But these demands seem to have been suddenly forgotten, as they realised the effects of what they wanted being granted.

Those who directly caused the police intervention have amazingly been memory-holed, and have been re-incarnated as critics of the police for doing just as they wanted… because that doesn’t suit their plans now, and are accusing the government of a ‘cover-up’.

Covering up is exactly what the BBC is doing by conveniently omitting the direct cause of the ‘Mess with the Met’ happening.

        https://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.com/2021/12/new-year-open-thread.html

I’ve been having a strong sense of déjà vu for much of the day. It began with the 12.00hrs bulletin on the BBC News Channel when they trotted out Sarah Olney (fortunately, my trusty shield was recently burnished) to condemn the planned increase in NI contributions – apparently, because of Brexit, it’s particularly important to encourage growth of business in new areas…

At this point, a well-informed and impartial interviewer might have pointed out that, 1. we have the fastest growing economy in the G7; 2. that more foreign capital was invested in the UK in the last quarter than in any EU country and, 3. that Liz Trus’s globe-trotting has been bringing spectacular results, either in the shape of fully-signed trade deals or commitments in outline to be signed at a later date – it is expected that we shall become members of the CPTPP in 2022. No mention of any of this up to 12.20, when I had to go out, but the subject had changed by then – tip for BBC: try reading Guido Fawkes.

Mention of Brexit brings me to my strongest feeling of déjà vu: the non-appearance of the Gray report has knocked the Beeboids for six; it’s clear that they thought that today was the day when Brexit would be avenged and the tumbrils, particularly one with Boris in it, would roll; Emily Maitlis and Laura Kuenssberg had probably learned to knit specially for the occasion and the BBC’s fridges were crammed with Champagne. Wind on to the 6 pm News, and, oh joy! oh bliss! – I haven’t seen such dejected faces since Dimbleby announced the Referendum result. Looks as though Brexit derangement syndrome is about to be replaced by Boris Derangement Syndrome.

Piers Morgan backs Joanna Lumley over rant at people claiming sadness is ‘mental illness’
PIERS MORGAN has defended Dame Joanna Lumley’s claims that people are too quick to brand all sadness as “mental illness”.

In the video itself, Dame Joanna tried to draw the distinction between struggling with serious mental health issues and feeling sad.

She said: “When somebody dies and you grieve, that’s what being a human is. You’re not mentally ill. “And I think it also is awful to people who really are mentally ill, or are properly, clinically depressed, for everybody to say they’ve got to have some special treatment.

“Everybody’s claiming the mental illness bandwagon and I think that’s wrong. And although, much derided, the stiff upper lip and not blubbing and trying to get on with it…

    But still they whine:

“Owen Bartholomew wrote: “I’m sorry but until you go through it you don’t understand it! The feelings you have are uncontrollable and everyday life is a challenge. I’ll listen to a trained professional instead of Joanna Lumley on mental health.”

Peter Hitchins said recently in the John Anderson pod cast ( well worth listening to for a centre right world view) that after the fall of USSR the Marxist Leninist strategy underwent fundamental change. They realised that defeating capitalism on the economic front wasn’t something that they could ever achieve so they decided to adopt Gramscian tactics and pick of cultural institutions slowly changing the culture of the West to one in which their ideas became dominant.
The culture war has been the active front in the war against capitalism for three decades but it is only in the last of those decades that the centre right has realised this and much ground has been lost .
I suspect that many users of this site intuitively understood this long ago . We were among the first to do so and to realise that the BBC was spearheading the cultural Marxist Leninist attack in the UK. Our resistance to the BBC attempts to wreck our nation’s culture may not succeed, it is truly David v Goliath , but at least we are awake to the enemy strategy and doing our best to rally the resistance.

I think that after the struggle to implement Brexit , which is in serious danger if Boris is taken down, and the success of the resistance to President Trump, the imposition of EU approved technocratic government in Italy and the throttling of the Greeks ten years ago, there is ample evidence that we live in a post democratic age. The people can vote for whomever they wish but their governing elite just follow the same globalist path regardless.
The globalists are as yet reluctant to openly show that democracy is dead and to rule us by use of force. Instead they seek to pretend that democracy is alive and well and to mislead us or frighten us into compliance. In the UK we saw the use of fear tactics over Brexit which failed , but probably made the result closer than it otherwise would have been. We have been persuaded to accept the ludicrous notion that mass importation of millions of Muslim third worlders was a good thing. We have have seen fear used to achieve compliance over Covid but there is growing push back. Fear is also being used over Climatearmageddon.
But I think the elite have bitten off more than they can chew over global warming measures. Once people see the true immediate cost to them of what is proposed they will be unwilling to accept it no matter how muchpropaganda the MSM pump out. Will the elite be prepared to impose their will by force? Will scales fall from the eyes of the people so that they realise democracy is dead and that globalists are trying to control them? What will the people do then , live on their knees or Stand up and push back?
        Things are getting interesting.

Am I missing something ? As an armchair lawyer – I’ve been trying to figure out what the number 10 party thing is about . But the MSM is just facilitating false rage and emotional propaganda by various types …

    Assumptions –
1 everyone interviewed will be ‘lawyered ‘ via their unions ,
    associations .

2 Mrs nut nut will be at the centre of it all

3 plod has come to the party ‘late ‘ – having been told by Gray that’ evidence’ may have tampered with leading to a more serious investigation of ‘perverting justice ‘

4 any ‘party ‘ offences are out of time so no one can be prosecuted for it is any breaches of Chinese virus regs are found

Number 3 doesn’t seem to get mentioned much and I wonder if I am wrong .

Those who don’t like nut nut and his lefty government will find stuff to support their view – those supporting him will find their solace . But I think the vast majority of the public – who the MSM are desperate to manipulate for the fight to rejoin the EU – will just roll their eyes and be concerned about ‘real world ‘ issues of how much inflation and taxes will be hitting them .

Yes Fedup, I see the whole of partygate as about Brexit notwithstanding Cummings. There are senior civil servants who want revenge because they won’t be going to Brussels with all the parties, maybe doing a couple of years tax free and generous pension, and of course mainly from the South East where there were few Brexit supporters. Add to the mix the Mays, the Hunts etc who are only too delighted to see Boris fail, we can see the toxic mix a birthday cake can bring.

I am disappointed in Boris myself, but nothing to do with parties. I am still hoping he realises the trouble Princess nut nut has brought him, and keeps her out of the office.

In the real world the BBC would be hammering the government about coming rises in fuel bills . In the DT it is reported that a firm has modelled what the OFGEM price limit thing will be when announced of 7 Feb . It is a 48% increase on variable tariffs .

Yet ending the 5% vat is no being discussed – and there seems no dialogue between the public and government about this coming hike in energy prices .

Do I detect the influence of Mrs nut nut again wanting to keep all those green crap charges on the cost of power – and no domestic sources ( oil and gas ) ? I reckon so .

Maybe it is as simple as keeping nut nuts reproductive parts happy …

Cressida Dick was under fire last night for a “facical” intervention in the Partygate row that risks leaving the Government in limbo for months‘ (Daily Mail) – this is rather typical – the media and opposition (but I repeat myself) relish the notion of Boris being reported to the cops and push for a police inquiry, then they get upset when the plod move in their mysterious plodding ways.

The avowedly anti-Brexit FT are most impatient and rather frustrated that Boris may yet get off the hook: ‘Met accused of “stitch-up” over Gray’s delayed partygate report

Meanwhile one remains unsure whether that home be Toronto, Bromley or one of her folks’ homes of Bucharest or Shenyang?

Talking of sad saps wanting to get close to female celebrities… or not…

We’ll skip over, giving a wide berth to: ‘Amanda “farting” ordeal‘ in this morning’s Daily Star. I’m sorry to say this now seems to be a thing: ‘Woman who sold farts for £740 a pop spills the beans on business secrets‘ (Daily Star 6 January 2022)

FooC used to include lots of deep insights, you don’t get from short news bits
but these days it’s rather shallow.
Reporters talk, but they are not saying anything

    Ukraine : James Waterhouse
“found local people sometimes fearful, but also rather stoical in the face of this threat.”
    rather empty report

Germany : Jenny Hill explains Germany is holding back against Russia,
that is in part because of the country’s history, and specifically the Second World War.”
Apart from her mentioning the new gas pipeline, her report was rather empty.

Romania Jean Mackenzie : Groomed children continue to be coerced into a life of prostitution – hundreds every year, it seems.
Groomers hang around school playgrounds, get girls then traffick them abroad.
Spoke to Andrea who had been told he loved her, led into drug addiction.
Police say the girls go voluntarily so they can’t do anything.
Andrea had escaped but was then taken back by the traffickers.

    Cameroon : Nick Cavell
hosting football’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Stadium was supposed to be capped at 80%, but actually was 100% full
People inside didn’t know 8 people had died at the gate crush, right through till the players had left.
The reporters did get a message and saw signs : abandoned shoes, seemed only they knew.
The stadium was brand new for the match.

    Senegal : Lucinda Rouse
She lives above the apartment of a local political king pin
    doesn’t she realise that he’s probably a gangster ?
She calls him the landlord, but then mentions him driving her to the agency to pay her rent, surely he could just put the money in his pocket.

Covid: Posts claiming only 17,000 died of virus ‘factually incorrect’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/60145237

A misleading claim that “only” 17,000 people in England and Wales have died of Covid has been circulating online. The UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) has stepped in to correct the record – but not before the false claim went viral.

    123038803-ian-mattfowler.jpg

Matt Fowler lost his dad to Covid-19 in April 2020. Ian Fowler was 56 at the time of his death, and lived with type 2 diabetes – which his son said had a “minor, barely perceptible impact on his life that he controlled with his diet”.
But the suggestion that “only” 17,000 people in England and Wales have died of Covid – a figure arrived at by removing from the data anyone with a pre-existing health condition – completely discounts the deaths of people like Ian.

umm I’m seeing his gluttonous lifestyle, that gave him type 2 diabetes, was what really killed him, not Covid.

      Today
      BBC Radio 4, 20 July 2021

An interview with Lord Sumption about civil liberties contained statistics which were not challenged at the time.

He said that ‘the virus has not killed over 100,000 people’ and that a large number have died with Covid but not of it.

In England and Wales more than 120,000 death certificates have recorded Covid-19 as an underlying cause of death according to figures collated by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Lord Sumption said that for older people, ‘at the age which they had reached, they would probably have died within a year’ anyway.

Life expectancy before the pandemic for an 80 year old was 9 years for a man and 10 years for a woman.

Lord Sumption said that ‘it’s a matter of hundreds and not thousands’ of deaths of people who were not in highly vulnerable groups with serious comorbidities on their death certificate.

By the end of March 2021 the ONS says almost 16,000 deaths in England & Wales had been caused by Covid in cases where there were no other underlying conditions recorded on the death certificate.

If you don’t know the difference between a loan and a tax , SHUT YOUR MOUTHS .
Just because a lefty pressure group says a new ruling about repaying student loans is equivalent to a tax , and of course you never question this nonsense, DOES NOT MEAN A LOAN IS A TAX .
Forget the intricacies about the amount , when repayment is due , inflation etc , not all ex students have to repay for a start .
Secondly they do not have to take out the loan to go to university. Admittedly it’s difficult for the vast majority not to , but it is not compulsory, they can live off their parents , a firm , crowd fund or any other loan .
Your licence fee is a tax , or are you so stupid you think it’s a loan ?

But the story still holds onto the top page at the BBC….

Trans woman Daniella McDonald says dating straight men was a “horror show”, until she met Josh, with whom she has been in a relationship for two-and-a-half years. But she says straight men may slowly be becoming more receptive to the idea of dating trans women. Daniella told her story to BBC Gender and Identity correspondent Megha Mohan.

The BBCnews USA/Canada page link text says
“The truckers shutting down Canada’s capital
The ‘Freedom Convoy’ is protesting vaccine mandates but police are worried about fringe elements”

bit leading that .. and why air quote Freedom Convoy ?

“But police say they are concerned about how the convoy has attracted extremist rhetoric, and some far-right groups have suggested they might also head to Ottawa.”
