2019 ….The Chair of the Intelligence and Security Committee, Dominic Grieve QC MP, has asked an urgent question on the delay of a report investigating Russian influence in British politics.
On Monday, the Government announced that it would not allow a report examining Russian infiltration into UK politics to be published prior to the dissolution of Parliament. Compiled by the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC), the report includes analysis from British intelligence agencies and requires clearance from the Government to be released.
The Chair of the ISC, Dominic Grieve QC MP, has asked ministers for a “credible reason” for the delay.

Think Rod Liddle hits the nail on the head as he says the jumpers leave the BBC because they see the writing on the wall as there are more and more news outlets which provide other perspectives on the world not just the BBC’s very narrow and biased one….the pretence is over, as is the supposed prestige and respect they get from the BBC’s heritage. The BBC has dominated the news agenda and narrative for a long time but that is coming to an end however hard the BBC fights to keep control of that narrative. Its constant attacks on Facebook had nothing to do with any real concerns about fake news and misinformation but was an attempt to silence and sideline a rival from which so many got their news…just as it cheered on the Leveson Inquiry in order to kneecap Murdoch and his papers…..the BBC sees its audience rapidly draining away and with that its power and influence over our perceptions, views and ultimately behaviour….not to mention the politicians.
The BBC’s attempt to portray itself as the defender of truth, the arbiter of what is and is not real news, what is disinformation, what is fake news, is just another attempt at maintaining its control….it is a self-appointed gatekeeper, self-appointed guardian of morality and justice….who put it in charge of ‘Truth’ though? The problem with the BBC is that it is, of course, a media organisation that is primed to, and capable of, pumping out huge amounts of propaganda in support of whatever cause it thinks necessary…witness lockdowns, vaccines and facemasks, veganism and climate change, race baiting and anti-white hate, and is able to put that massive capability into operation to save itself as it has done recently after the government suggested its best days might be behind it. The BBC launched a huge campaign to promote itself and damn the government….surely controversial if not illegal absue of its position….Ofcom interested?
