TOADY Watch #2 – not forgetfulness but deliberate misinformation from the BBC

Amol Rajan interviews Michael Gove who is not good at thinking on his feet: “You have been in power for twelve years, why haven’t you done this before now?” Correction: the Conservative Party have been in power for seven years. In 2010, they formed a Government in coalition with the Liberal Democrat Party and had to limit measures that they might introduce to those that would be supported by their Coalition partners.

Amol sneaks in a sneaky question to wrong-foot Michael Gove over the Gray Report. Gove, as I stated above, is not good at thinking on his feet. The question is about the way cleaners and other ancillary staff were treated in No.10 Downing Street. If Gove had been really sharp, he would have observed that Civil Servants have left Downing Street already for various reasons, much to the dislike of the BBC who criticised the Government at the time. If it was MPs who treated staff with disrespect “I am sure that they will have been spoken to by the Prime Minister and that is all I am going to say on the matter.” should have been the reply.

    Michael Gove just appeared on the Today Programme to trail the government’s plan to expand Right to Buy, ahead of Boris’s big “reset” speech later today.     “Consider this, I give this example. If immigration continues at the levels it has average over the last ten years. Britain will be adding 10 million people to it’s population in the next 20 years. That means building a new house roughly every seven minutes. Now, we currently have no leadership from the Liberal Democrats, Conservative or Labour Parties saying they are going to do anything to change that course. @5:56 … if any party wishing to get into power doesn’t address this they are committing political suicide….@10:30″ {youtube – Douglas Murray – oct2015}

… but wait, someone, who is now in power to act out their words, did mention this problem and almost suggests that ‘too high immigration’ should be reduced …

“Because when immigration is too high (no figure given), when the pace of change is too fast, it’s impossible to build a cohesive society. It’s difficult for schools and hospitals and core infrastructure like housing and transport to cope. And we know that for people in low-paid jobs, wages are forced down even further while some people are forced out of work altogether. … So there is no case, in the national interest, for immigration of the scale we have experienced over the last decade.”

Geek-speak Mary Sues and City supermums edition

It’s the stupid economy front and centre this morning as our media’s goldfish attention span changes tack.

Globalist minority read the FT bubbles up to the top spot in the BBC’s online press review: UK growth set to be worse in G20, apart from Russia, OECD warns – one has to admire that snide reference to Britain being somehow almost as bad as Putin’s Russia.

A fascinating sidelight is thrown on that comment if one recalls that the US and friends wanted Russia chucked out of the G20 – except near half the members said don’t bring politics into economics – or some such: ‘Not G19’: Why Indonesia won’t bar Russia from the G20… The G20 not only includes the developed economies such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan, which have moved to impose tough sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, but also countries such as China that have taken a more ambivalent approach. Jakarta has so far maintained that it still plans to invite the leaders of all 20 members to the summit. (Aljazeera)

The FT headline story’s Jonah-like dire (but pretty plausible) prophesy for the UK continues: Zero expansion forecast for 2023 – not the population headcount, mind you, that’s growing exponentially – they mean the economy – and at last the Greens have achieved their economic ambition – quite some feat with just the one MP – I jest of course… the Greens would appear to have a few hundred MPs in their pocket plus corporations and all the complient mainstream media: Go Green! Times Earth Your 12-page guide inside (Times)

And tell us, FT, what’s the significance of this news from that supranational OECD with some shady links to the likes of the occasional denizens of Davos – World Economic Forum and OECD Sign Strategic Partnership Framework (WEF website) and why now at this precise moment?

The forecast underscores the difficulties a weakened Prime Minister Boris Johnson is likely to face in the months ahead… (FT)

And our alternative – via the rather appropriately titled left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper column Waugh on Politics: Johnson’s woes only highlight Starmer’s failure to cut through

So we’re looking at some form of Tory Party palace coup?

Let me speak for the Left for a moment here – We need a hero – contrary to what Tina Turner demanded back in 1985 as the theme song to Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome

No more heroes anymore claimed The Stranglers back in Silver Jubilee year 1977

Some former heroes appear tarnished, for some reason, in the view of some: Opinion Johnny Depp could call for online abuse of Amber Heard to stop. He still hasn’t (‘i’)

The formerly patriotic Times has front and centre: Natural order. Sir David Attenborough, 96… – they’ve given him another gong. In terms of airmiles, at least, he must be richer than any Ruskie oligarch.

A teen superhero is born – or so the Guardian assures us gifting a five star review to Ms Marvel recently aired on Disney plus

Kamala is a superhero fan with an imagination, particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel; Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home, that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s looked up to.

Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is an Inhuman who goes through Terrigenesis and gains polymorphic shape-shifting abilities – come again?

Ms. Marvel Gets Review Bombed on IMDB After Disney+ Premiere (a rare guest appearance hereabouts from The Direct – some sort of youngster-aimed pop culture entertainment news site that covers Hollywood, movie and gaming news like Marvel, Star Wars etc – oh, and Review Bombed is an interesting concept – you’ll have realised that mainstream so-called independent review critics have all been thoroughly bought and sold by the corporates who also massage online review polls in favour of their product – so we have some projection from the corporates here who accuse naughty people presumably the denizons of their mum’s basements of co-ordinated negative reviews)

Point being the increasing disconnect between corporate promotional fluff combined with media identity politics motivated reviewing – and what the audience actually thinks about the product. Rotten Tomato becomes a rather apt reference to the parlous state of entertainment criticism these days.

Rotten Tomato: Critics Consensus: Ms. Marvel is a genuinely fresh addition to the MCU – both stylistically and substantively… Iman Vellani Is ‘Wonderful’ in ‘Vibrant’ Superhero Origin Story, Critics Say

Meanwhile negative fan reaction is dismissed: In news that is both depressing yet completely unsurprising, angry racists are review bombing Marvel’s new series Ms. Marvel. (The Mary Sue“the premier destination for entertainment geeks, female or otherwise”. However, this source says of itself We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, feminist community and by the way, in geek-speak a Mary Sue is a term used to describe a fictional character, usually female, identity politics insertion, who is seen as too perfect and almost boring for lack of flaws)

Now where were we before we took a digression out of the middle aged comfort zone? Heroes!

Apparently there’s no laughing matter today since Matt is away (Telegraph)

Daily Telegraph frontpage pin up girl: Tory peer quits Whitehall role after criticising PM. Baroness Morrissey… has quit as non-executive director at the Foreign Office after she said Boris Johnson should stand down – nope, never heard of her. And, pray tell, what precisely is a non-executive director at the Foreign Office?

Judged purely on appearances she looks the type of lady one might, on a first date, tend to invite to accompany one to the opera – and gosh does the opera need the ticket sales: ‘Audiences are dying’ Star tenor Joseph Calleja on opera’s crisis (Telegraph) – there’s yet another crisis to add to the long list – NHS, education, housing, etc, etc

The female readship serving Daily Mail Why everything you thought you knew about washing your hair was WRONG feels it knows this lady and rather identifies with her: Forced out as Tory tsar, City supermum who said Boris was in wrong job – a very fetching frontpage pic is presented – a more alluring pose – if you like that sort of thing – from the same professional photoshoot as the Telegraph used.

The comuter giveaway Metro – passed out as a feebie at rail and tube stations – may possibly have figured out that if all urbanites are now WFH then its business model is bust. So it is that the normally left-leaning editorial comes out hard against strike-threatening rail unions: No shame. Union boss ‘apologises’ for walkout that will bring misery to commuters – let’s not forget the complimentary advertising sheet Metro leans both left and youthful – of all the potential inconveniences to travellers, all the event disruption – how’s this for a special pleading giveaway: Claims he didn’t mean to ruin Glastonbury getaway

Aren’t youngsters supposed to hitch to Glasto? Or all pile into a non-MOTed former ambulance painted in psychedelic rainbows?

We’ll all turn into Hobbits claims the Daily Star so what have they been smoking? Smoking age should rise, goverment report to say (BBC)

Marky, just in case maxi is lurking, think you have got UK population wrong. ONS have admitted that it is one million more than they thought and were estimating for 2021 @ 69,000,000+ so it was 70,000,000 and a bit in 2021. I don’t know what their estimate is for 2022 but I guess it may or may not be accurate.

Rising above 75 million as stats now show. We have had a population growth that is completely unsustainable as is being shown every where one looks. Over crowded towns, too many vehicles, GP and Dentist Sugery’s growning with the numbers-in our small town we have a Dental practice that also takes NHS patients, it has over 3500 patients. We all know the NHS cannot cope with the numbers flooding into A & E, as result in many cases of not being able to see a Doctor, yet a 4 day week is being considered for GP’s -Mad. For our small group of Islands the UK is well and truly overcrowded, and years of immigration both Legal and Illegal has been where the increase has mainly come from. An immigrant Muslim family coming to the UK twenty years ago, could well have prodcued 4-5 children and who now have those children. producing children. The percentage increase of child production with the Muslim family is far greater than that of the Christian-about 4-1/5 against.

tarien, I used to guess at 75m+ having done some ‘back of the envelope’ calculations years ago before June 2016. Think I’ve mentioned this on here before but every now and then, some statistics slip out – usually on the BBC or in print media – that enable a rough guess to made fairly accurately. One was UK driving licences held and tests taken and failed each year. Then there was the annual tally of road miles driven. Another was number of passport renewals that PA has to handle every year. Another could be the built area of the UK. It was 10% rising to 11%. I wonder what CABE estimate it to be now?

Agree that our population growth is unsustainable as are our unemployment levels because they are not as low as people are led by the BBC to believe. That is where the UK’s housing crisis, NHS access crisis and other problems come from.

But back to the official stats, I see Worldometer are below the previous ONS estimate of about 69,500,000 for 2021. They claim “The current population of the United Kingdom is 68,548,221 as of Friday, May 13, 2022” so they haven’t even taken the recent ONS correction of +1,000,000 into account. https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/uk-population/

Quite likely Eddy Booth, of course they will say, its the ravages of War that have caused the explotion of immigration. None however seem at all interested in fighting to save their country or would help to re-build as we in the UK had to do after WW2. In that awful War the British People had nowehere to run off to, they had to stand and fight, put up with the bombing and the caused devastation. The Ukrainian people have run away from their country in their millions-of course the cause of War was a reason, but why should they have thought the rest of the world would look after them? Yes we are Christian and would help, but I can’t help but draw the similarity of what we once had to face in WW2 in the UK and the stocisim of those men and women that pulled us through-I was 3 when WW2 ended and can remember those next 10 years well as the British set about rebuilding their nation.

Of course Flotsam those boats should for years now have been sent back to France-in fact France should have better secured its southern borders, which has been an easy landing place of the Middle Eastern Asian in particular. I know this because I lived in SouthWest France for some years-France because of its past association with Alegers have taken many Muslims into their country, but from what I experienced the Muslims were clearly restricted in what they could do-Mosques as purpose built places were not allowed-in the last twenty years however France have allowed and mainly as a result of the European Union, the expansion of those that follow the teachings of Islam to inveigle themselves into the lives of the French people-the expansion of Mosque building all over the country. Its explosive. There are now upwards of 60 miilion Muslims in Europe and at their birth rate it will in a very short time scale rise to near 100 million and yet nothing positive is being done to cull this rise. Their Ideology is far away from Western Christianity-they will never want to mix communities no matter.

In 2006, it organised a secret

and at a cost of tens of thousands of pounds, to keep the details of the meeting secret.

In April 2022, the BBC upheld two complaints against its
climate editor, Justin Rowlatt. Both concerned a Panorama edition in November 2021, entitled ‘Wild Weather

          The programme was intended
to persuade viewers that climate change was making the

The world is getting warmer and our weather is getting

BBC in court ? alongside Biden, renouned racist Whoopi Goldberg and Facebook owner ?

“Kyle Rittenhouse Secures Sandmann’s Attorney, Considers Defamation Suit

The teen, acquitted of all charges related to the August 2020 fatal shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has retained attorney Todd McMurtry, who previously represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann. The lawyer indicated that they planned to pursue defamation claims against at least 10 companies and individuals.

One of the anticipated defendants is Facebook, based on CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg’s statement that Rittenhouse was “involved in a mass murder incident.” McMurtry told Fox News, “It was clearly factually false. To call somebody a mass murderer is seriously defamatory. And then to use the power of social media to basically … censor any views that would take opposition to that mass murderer statement is a serious effort to destroy his character.”

“Based on Rittenhouse’s previous interviews, other potential defendants include LeBron James, Whoopi Goldberg, and President Joe Biden.
Rittenhouse said the outcome of the Amber Heard/Johnny Depp case motivated him to move forward. He recently wrote on social media, “Johnny Depp trial is just fueling me, you can fight back against the lies in the media, and you should!” Lawsuits have yet to be filed but McMurtry is investigating “whom to sue, when to sue, where to sue.”

“We’re Going to Be Taking Them to Court” – Kyle Rittenhouse Announces Lawsuits Against Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg and Media Outlets ”

“They announced their lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg for calling Rittenhouse a “mass murderer” and to use his platform to censor any views that would take opposition to his mass murderer allegation.”

“In February, Rittenhouse told Tucker Carlson that they had some politicians and celebrities in mind for lawsuits.”

“Kyle Rittenhouse said this week that he’s filing a lawsuit against NBA star LeBron James.

Rittenhouse on Tuesday also announced that he was looking at filing lawsuits against politicians and news organizations — and even specific people such as TV hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Cenk Uygur — for what he said was spreading lies about his character after he fatally shot two men and wounded a third in self-defense during 2020’s Kenosha, Wisconsin, riots.

    What are the details?

According to the Daily Wire, Rittenhouse told journalist and host Drew Hernandez during Tuesday night’s broadcast of “Frontlines” that he and his legal team are sending James a letter and would “deal with [him] in a courtroom.”

“I think everyone wants to know,” Hernandez asked. “What are your plans for LeBron James?”

“He’ll be getting a letter, too,” Rittenhouse answered. “Anybody who defamed me, or lied about me, we’re just gonna send them…”

    https://www.newsweek.com/kyle-rittenhouse-sue-media-murderer-accountability-project-1681238

“Following his appearance on Carlson’s show, critics have suggested that Rittenhouse may not have a case to sue people who still refer to him as a “murderer” as it is still considered opinion under the law.

Adrienne Lawrence, an attorney and host on The Young Turks media network, tweeted: “Did someone call Rittenhouse a ‘convicted murderer’?

“Because, to my knowledge, you can be a murderer factually, even if you’re legally acquitted. An acquittal doesn’t really change that one murdered another.”

In a follow-up tweet, Lawrence explained how Rittenhouse’s case is different to that of O.J. Simpson, who was cleared of murder in the highly publicized 1995 trial before a civil court jury ruled him legally responsible for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

“O.J. could sue for defamation because he maintains that he did not kill. Rittenhouse, however, admitted to killing; he simply claims it was legally justified, which a jury agreed with,” Lawrence wrote.

Former MSNBC anchor David Shuster tweeted: “The courts have long established that calling somebody a ‘murderer’ is an opinion + a legal right, even after the person is found ‘not guilty.’ At that point, one can still call them a murderer, just not a ‘convicted murderer.’

I expect everyone supports the right to strike as one of the fundamental freedoms enjoyed in a civilised society. What I can’t even fully accept is the astonishing greed of an 11% pay increase demand which I know is a starting point and they’ll settle lower, but it’s still a huge demand.

I think there needs to be further union reform to reflect the current working environment. If an issue is so serious to require a strike then it should be a full time strike, no messing about one day here one day there to cause maximum disruption, if you’re out you’re out and you don’t go back to work until the dispute is settled and every worker signs to commit they will not strike again over the same issue once it’s settled.

Employers should not be allowed to pay strikers who return to work without signing a settlement agreement pleging not to strike again over it.

In turn, TEN-R is part of the EU’s Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T), a grandiose scheme to link all of Europe (plus Turkey and Russia, which they envisaged as becoming part of the EU) with integrated motorways, railways and shipping corridors.

Here’s an updated EU document from 2013, in which they have dropped Turkey and Russia (scroll to bottom for map).

Ofcom has brought in new rules to protect rural phone boxes from closure.

The UK telecoms regulator said it will stop British Telecom (BT) from closing down phone boxes in areas with poor mobile signals if they are needed by local communities.

Ofcom estimates there are at least 1,400 phone boxes in areas without good mobile coverage.

This is lower than its original estimate that 5,000 phone boxes would be protected by new rules.

Or something else? I realise that some on this site and also over at TCW refer to Barak Obama as the real power at the White House behind China Joe and Kamala.

As I understand it but could be wrong, you lose the right to be known as ‘former’ President when your successor’s successor is elected or if your successor is re-elected then at the start of that term. It would be correct to refer to Mr Barak Obama as a courtesy but a bit long winded. I’m sure Barak Obama would do.

Britons Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, and Saaudun Brahim are accused of being mercenaries, Russian state media says.

The men’s lawyer said they all “wished to” appeal against the sentence, Russia’s Tass news agency reports.

Weak news agency BBC not saying if the Republic has ever carried out a death sentence, or that the British government can’t try and help much, as talking to the DPR, whom they don’t recognise would de-facto legitimise them, .

All day I’ve been seeing talking heads giving their two penny worth about letting benefit receivers buy their houses yet not once has anyone mentioned the million plus immigration last year.
As well as pushing prices right up they cannot build enough plus all the infrastructure to go with these new houses.

As I type, on Dewbs a viewer sent an email in saying there are too many people and the 3 on the panel poo poo’d this as a reason for house shortages and rocketing prices.
They were unable to see the connection between an extra million people (the number the government admits to but we all know is much lower than the real number coming in) and a need for more houses.
They even were talking in a sneering way saying “how do we go about reducing the population” as if someone suggested killing them off.

    I’ll tell them the answer.
    Drastically reduce immigration.

BBC evening news tonight is going full bore to blame Brexit and Brexit alone for all the economic woes the Country is going through.

It is clear now that the whole partygate/vote of confidence thing was just another step in reversing Brexit.

It is also clear that the EU are involved and in step with the BBC and Boris is now battling against the EU, The Labour Party the BBC and the remain faction in the Conservatives.

This probably explains the fuel price fiasco, the travel fiasco, the jumped up unions ridiculous action, the appalling pantomime that is the black hole of the NHS, The French pushing illegals across the channel and probably being paid for it from Brussels etc. etc.

I believe these events are all springing from a common purpose which is to grind things in the UK to a halt and force the nation back into the clutches of the EU from which it will be engineered in such a way that there will never be another chance to escape.

This is a fight for the very existence of the UK as a Sovereign Nation.

The black guy in the last epidode of the recent Father Brown was an atrocious actor. Proof if any were needed that he didn’t get the part through ability. Of course a better actor didn’t get the part due to racial discrimination.

Funny, they all want to talk about ‘the struggle’ which is a perpetual part of the leftie ‘mind’, but none of them ever want to talk about the results of the struggle once they succeeded in overthrowing what ever government it is they want rid of, because the result is always a horror show, far worse than anything which went before, nor do they want to revisit the place to try to sort out the mess the created or even to talk about it, and certainly never apologise.

Refugee opened a shop not long after getting here ? how did that happen ? What about all the legalities, the NI number, the money to start it up, and no doubt the tax payer is coughing up the monthly grant amount to her sister for taking her in. What’s going on ?

Another government target on its way, with smoking to be phased out by 2030, based on an independent review.

Funny because the Ardern dictator in NZ came up with the same plan in December last year. These independent reports all popping up at the same time, all independently and all totally for our own good.

The gov report is from Javed Khan, ex-Barnados CEO who said after the Jay Report into the Rotherham abuse scandal that “further investigations have shown the issue is not merely an Asian male problem […] what I’m seeing now from my visits is that since 2013 the majority of perpetrators are white”. Anyway be reassured that the future of our children’s wellbeing is what’s driven this review, and is therefore totally trustworthy.

So no more smoking, you’re priced out of owning a car and the pub’s been converted into a multi-faith community foodbank. You’ll still be allowed to sit alone at home though for an evening of Trans Muslim Superhero on the telly with your allotted ration of lab-engineered alcohol substitute* before taking the knee and retiring for the night.

    *safe and effective

It’s just that he takes too long to say it. I do know he is working hard in Wakefield on the ground, but two weeks before an election he needs to be snappier or shall we say deadlier, and he needs to mention other issues ‘cos he ain’t going to win on tax reform alone.

But I’ll give you my read with out bells and whistles in no particular order

      1 – food bank riots
      2 – panic buying
      3 – power cuts

      5 – rising crime
      6 – home repossessions

      9 – a dire pound
      10- 1970s interest rates
11 – a government unable to fund welfare
12 increase taxes – yes even more …..

Capitol riot hearing: Trump accused of ‘attempted coup’
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-61753870

What a sickening article and the BBC are fully behind it. But reading between the lines of what Lurch wrote suggests it was nothing like the BBC are trying to portray it.

The question of a ‘coup’ is instantly dismissed by the fact nobody had weapons. And I’m quite certain it wasn’t pointed out that the only person who died at the hands of another was an unarmed woman shot by a policeman (whose identity was kept secret for weeks, presumably because he is black with a dubious record).

This is banana republic stuff. They are getting increasingly desperate and their tricks more dirty because November is coming up fast.

Not in the MSM I assume ? something that should be of concern to us all :

Biden has invited the US military to officially take over.

Biden has called a state of emergency, saying it’s about power blackouts.
The military needed to be invited in, otherwise it’s arguably against the Constitution:

“President Biden Invokes Defense Production Act to Accelerate Domestic Manufacturing of Clean Energy ”

“DPA Invocation Will Boost American Production of the Critical Technologies Necessary to Lower Energy Costs, Support the Clean Energy Economy, and Strengthen National Security.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— President Biden today issued presidential determinations providing the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with the authority to utilize the Defense Production Act (DPA) to accelerate domestic production of five key energy technologies: (1) solar; (2) transformers and electric grid components; (3) heat pumps; (4) insulation; and (5) electrolyzers, fuel cells, and platinum group metals. The DPA determinations are part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s plan to lower energy costs for families, strengthen national security, and achieve lasting American energy independence that reduces demand for fossil fuels and bolsters our clean energy economy.

“President Biden has invoked the Defense Production Act so that the U.S. can take ownership of its clean energy independence,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. “For too long the nation’s clean energy supply chain has been over-reliant on foreign sources and adversarial nations. With the new DPA authority, DOE can help strengthen domestic solar, heat pump and grid manufacturing industries while fortifying America’s economic security and creating good-paying jobs, and lowering utility costs along the way.”

The Biden Regime is being challenged. How much longer can they go on like this before a real coup attempt is made. The depths these people stoop to has no bottom.

I know this isn’t BBC but is it remotely likely that they would cover this? And it needs to be talked about because the “disinformation/ misinformation” scare which is being pushed in US , Canada and New Zealand as well as the the UK is a threat to free speech throughout and especially to sites like ours.
Make no mistake the battle is on and it is being fought in three continents and thanks to the WEF it is linked.

An excellent post. Freedom of speech and the right to hold dissenting views are being rapidly eroded across the West by globalists. They have the MSM and judicial system in their pockets .As a consequence we are close to , if not already in, the post democratic era. The vast majority of people don’t realise how much the power of their vote has already diminished but one day they will wake up and realise that their vote and the votes of everyone else counts for nothing, they have been disenfranchised.
The only hope is that the Republicans win the next election cycle and they follow Trump’s lead and are able to smash the deep state, the big tech monopolies , drain the swamp and preserve democracy. It’s a big ask .
