Start the Week 13 June 2022

Two aspects of the Fight For Freedom this week –

Happy first birthday to GBNews . The Far Left BBC and rest of the woke media and OFCOM haven’t managed to kill off a bit diversity of thought yet …Free Speech in Britain continues to be suppressed -but at least GBNews offers something a bit different .

And on a more sombre note `Tuesday 14th of June commemorates the 40th anniversary of another fight for freedom – The Falklands War – or as the BBC would prefer to call it – The Malvinas …….

Further to utterly rigged propaganda masquerading as news, Twitter’s opening page has a stop the flights thing on Rwanda with a departure lounge rammed with fat ladies of color in curtains, babies in slings and a couple of skinny blokes in denim.

The effect is rather spoiled by every one of them sporting gleaming white designer trainers.

Why did they choose to FRAME the story with “Archbishop says” ?

    (eh that’s a bit obvious )

The news headlines… sometimes they act to confirm our priors, to reinforce our prejudices… what I mean is – they may simply tell us things we already regard as being true…

Stop boring everyone to death, shadow cabinet tells Starmer (Times)

Sir Lenny Henry has said it is “interesting” to see the apparent lack of black people in the audience at Glastonbury Festival. (BBC) – not particularly interesting, but it is a fact.

Sturgeon starts new push for independence (Telegraph) – come back to us with new news.

News headlines can also be something akin to what the youngsters term a “hate-watch” where one derives a certain peasure and source of entertainment from the sheer toe-curling awfulness of what is presented – news editors know this…

The giveaway Metro editorial panders to what their corporate advertisers envisage to be a notionally young urban liberal diversity-minded audience: Clear for take-off. Asylum seekers set for Rwanda flight as appeal court rejects last ditch challenge – phrased so as to raise the hackles of armchair lefties and perhaps even as a call to action for a hardcore of real world runway-invading protesters? We’ll soon see.

The Telegraph assumes its audience tend toward Austrian school economics, or at they least reside in a higher tax bracket, so this bulletin should have them spluttering over their cornflakes: No tax cuts before inflation cools off.

The Telegraph still assumes some degree of residual patriotism in its readership: France ‘incresed fuel imports from Russia’ – and if that doesn’t raise the true blue British blood pressure of a morning by a notch or two, then I really don’t know what will?

It’s probably not a sound long-term plan to continually rile up your audience too much – one senses the BBC tries it and declining viewer and listenership figures have been the result.

The alternative is to pander to your base. To cultivate a hardcore of the like-minded within the wider demographic – and sod the rest.

Chuck them some red meat you just know they will gobble up…

Church versus Boris Johnson: bishops tell PM Rwanda flight ‘shames UK’ – nevermind that no copy of the ‘i’ newspaper has ever been found anywhere near an actual parish church. The point is that the lefty atheistic aesthetic – more likely to be Gaia-worshiping than C of E attendee – readership has an assumed in-built reflexive antipathy toward Boris and Tories in general and can happily cheer this headline like they were a home football crowd hearing a positive VAR result for their team.

So too this one for the Daily Mail’s readership: Rwanda flight latest. Court of common sense. To their credit, Judges have THREE TIMES rejected Left-wing activists’ demands to ground migrant flights – and remember folks, the British parliament is supposed to be the sovereign law-maker – so one really has to ask what exactly is the bloody issue here?

The FT panders to a globalist mindset of “Anywheres” an internationalist world citizenry that would be more comfortable should there be some utopian supranational world order: Brussels threatens legal action on bill to tear up N Ireland protocol

Likewise the Guardian readers remain in deep mourning post-Brexit and that title is more than happy to chum those waters: EU to fight UK in court over bid to scrap Brexit checks

As the Mod-father, the Bard of Woking, Paul Weller of The Jam once memorably sang: That’s Entertainment

And to think you thought you were reading “news” headlines…

And finally. Speaking of chumming the waters, we sense the Daily Star may have jumped the shark: Scorchio mahem. Hornet red alert from Spanish plume. Fears of 40C European headwave. Get set for an invasion of killer hornets, heatstroke and airport baggage hell.

Amazing that the bent media isn’t reporting the seismic events on the US stock market yesterday.

Bitcoin lost 10% and withdrawals from the currency were temporarily suspended.

The US stock market lost 4% of its value in one days trading, and this might very well be the start of a moment in history when the second great depression hits the Western world.

    https%3A%2F%2Fd6c748xw2pzm8.cloudfront.net%2Fprod%2Fa522e330-eb54-11ec-8470-694a9bd96aee-standard.png?dpr=2&fit=scale-down&quality=medium&source=next&width=500

You can expect the media not to cover this because it isn’t socialism it’s capitalism, and they will begin to cover it when the effects begin to bite when they will use it to call for even more politics of death and failure.

They really are beyond the pale, and yet so are the so called Conservatives, who are so inept they can only spend money and are all at sea when it comes to managing an economy going through the downward cycle.

Lizzo changes derogatory lyric after backlash

Yet another example of cancel culture being promoted by the BBC. Lizzo changed her lyrics because of a complaint when she used the word “spaz”. A woman with cerebral palsy complained on Twitter with a tweet with just 432 likes.

The BBC frame the whole article like Lizzo is a brilliant person for listening and learning.

Something the BBC don’t tell you is their hero black woman’s lyrics were originally “Hold my bag, bitch, hold my bag. Do you see this shit? I’m a spaz”.

So officially “bitch” and “shit” are still allowed but “spaz” is not. What a messed up world we live in.

… and on that note – since the Irish won’t build a border to control their single market to Northern Ireland – maybe that ‘common travel area ‘ can be looked at as they mouth off against Blighty on behalf of their masters in Brussels ….

That is the SNP strategy – to pee the English off – personally I favour their independence – the oil can go to Shetland and Norway – the Scots can be a fully independent country – part of the EU – with a big border wall -Charles the 3rd can be the last king of Scotland ….

Here we have an example of the BBC ‘lie by repetition’.

They come up with an excuse to reference an old story then tell the whole thing again as if it just happened with yet another extra-large helping of empathy to draw you in. And in a very lengthy article considering it is just rehashing agenda-based old news.

Quite why the author (Muslim born in Iran) and the BBC thinks this Leftist political propaganda belongs in the ‘Sports’ section is beyond me. I suspect they are trying to ensare people who don’t bother on the main pages.

I wonder what life is like for the people still there living in fear under Taliban rule. The BBC clearly thinks these women are much more important.

“Motivated by musical articulations of social justice issues, her explorations of contemporary sonic, visual and social media take shape through critical, ethnographic, analytical, and historical methods. Her book Queer Country, published by the University of Illinois Press in 2022, examines transgender and queer performances of country and Americana music through explorations of sincerity, genre trouble, journey, rurality, misrepresentation, masking, and collaboration.”

I recall working with a man whos credibility was questionable to say the least.

7.30 am he walks in, in Royston, Hertfordshire on a Wednesday morning, and tells me “I’ve just walked past Johnny Cash, he said good morning.

Yeh, right, I later had a look at Canbridge Corn exchange gigs and guess who was playing that evening.

I still don’t believe him, Johnny Cash doesn’t know what a morning is, let alone a good one.

The best known of China’s ghost cities may be Ordos New Town, also known as Kangbashi, in the region of Inner Mongolia. The city was intended in the early 2000s to eventually house a million people, a number that was later scaled back to 300,000. But as of 2016, a mere 100,000 people lived in it.14 Oct 2021

Yesterday’s Cadwalladr ruling was confusing at best. While Mrs Justice Steyn ruled the TED Talk Carole Cadwalladr gave was defamatory, she said Banks had failed to prove that its publication caused “serious harm to reputation”. Part of this was based on a belief that Carole’s followers are mainly an #FBPE echo chamber, therefore unlikely to have had their minds changed by the defamatory Russia claim…

So too are journalists from Sky TV, The Times, Guardian, Channel Four and ITV.

Thousands of illegal asylum seekers, fugitive criminals, murderers , and rapists, are all queue jumpers and are blocking genuine honest refuges that have waited patiently to get here. Successive weak British Governments have let them down and let us down by putting the people of Great Britain in danger.

Kyiv City Ballet gears up for York performance

Kyiv City Ballet was in France when Russia invaded and has been unable to go back to the country since.
They are currently in York, where they are staying for free ahead of a one-off UK show at the city’s Theatre Royal.”

BBC as usual incapable of asking the obvious question: why can’t they go home?
Are they scared of being conscripted? If so state that, it’s supposed to be a news outlet.

“Hotels, businesses and travel companies worked together to feed, house and water the company for free.”
