Midweek 13 July 2022

Be in no doubt that as the BBC bury the Report on mass child sexual abuse in Telford their fight with the British Military will be pushed on . Some people ask what evidence of anti British Bias is there ? Well the 2 issues above help answer that question. Dump your TV licence – end your Direct Debit .
The site has been playing up from time to time recently – lets hope it gets cured .

I was cynical about the initial reports / Panorama and even more cynical when I drilled down just a little bit further.

War is a v.messy business – but there is something really stinky about the way the BBC team have gone about this.

Innuendo and hearsay aren’t evidence and one really has to look very closely indeed at the peeps that have constructed this tale and their background and motivation – in addition to the splash treatment given to the accusations.

For a £5,000,000,000 20,000 staff envy of the world broadcaster The BBC struggles in many areas, particularly news.

It solves this by making a lot… ‘not news’.

Or by devoting heaps to ‘allegation as fact’.

Often using ‘sources’. Like CNN. Or warlords.

The US is a big market so of course got.. um… Sopes, Lurch, Nick, Katty and a few odd others. Such as the expertise of Russian doll Springster. And BS.

Now they seem down to Saz and Lurch.

And they have extended the Sopes trend of only really getting into a President from before. This is a mix of ‘not news’ and staying on narrative.

The Jan 6 attempt is a combo of staying on narrative and what has been attempted with the SAS.

So, good luck with that, BBC.

UK skin cancer deaths higher in men than women
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-62165818

Currently, there are about 1,400 deaths per year from melanoma in men, compared to 980 in women.

    ….

Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians reported lower perceived cancer risk than Whites [Bs = − 0.40, −0.34, and −0.69 respectively, (Ps <.001)]. Contributing factors included relatively lower likelihood of reporting a family history of cancer, lower likelihood of having smoked, and a less strong belief that everything causes cancer among non-Whites thanamong Whites. Racial/Ethnic differences in perceived risk were attenuated in older respondents because perceived cancer risk was negatively associated with age for Whites but not for non-Whites.

I find this article by the grubby Jonathan Head to be particularly offensive. It’s 100% empathy and emotion yet again using a pretty girl to push a specific agenda and very vague on the actual story behind it. The cheapest of journalism which belongs more in The Sun than the BBC.

What they DON’T tell you is that the PDF she belonged to is a group of resistance fighters which includes the Muslim groups who caused it all in the first place by terrorism in attempting to create a muslim-only area and who have called for a jihad against the government.

I empathise completely with the normal Mynanmar people but the BBC (specifically Jonathan Head) are absolutely guilty of the usual lies by omission in this article.

I will always remember Jonathan for his quote ‘Anti-government protest which turned violent’ which referred to Thai protesters (roughly equivalent to our political right who Jonathan didn’t like) who the government (who he did like) tried to scare home by firing M79 grenades into the crowds and killing women and children. But he didn’t mention the last bit of course.

Tugendhat was born in Westminster, London, the son of Sir Michael Tugendhat, a High Court judge, and his French wife, Blandine de Loisne.[5] He is a nephew of Lord Tugendhat, a businessman, former Vice President of the European Commission[6] and Conservative Party politician. He was educated at St Paul’s School, London, an all-boys independent school. He studied theology at the University of Bristol, before doing a Master’s degree course in Islamic studies at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, and learning Arabic in Yemen.[7]

          Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

This most interesting and unusual surname is an Anglicized form of the Germanic surname “Pfaeffle”, a derivative of “Pfaff”, from the German “pfaffe”, cleric, parson, or “papst”, pope.

          Read more: https://www.surnamedb.com/Surname/Pfeffel#ixzz7Z7YSFm6V
          https://www.bbc.co.uk/whodoyouthinkyouare/past-stories/boris-how-we-did-it_1.shtml

Boris Johnson knew a certain amount about his diverse family background, but was intrigued by several family stories and mysteries. He was particularly keen to investigate stories associated with the relatives of his paternal grandparents.

Ali Kamal and his wife Winifred
Ali Kemal and his wife Winifred
Boris’s grandfather, Wilfred Johnson, had never spoken about the murder of his Turkish father in the 1920s. Boris’s grandmother Irene Johnson (née Williams), known as ‘Granny Butter’, had always been the subject of derision in the family due to her grandiose claims of an aristocratic French background.

So Boris set out on an international journey of discovery to separate fact from fiction.

          GREAT-GRANDFATHER: ALI KEMAL
Boris wanted to find out the truth about what happened to his Turkish paternal great-grandfather, Ali Kemal, who was a journalist and politician in the early 1900s. He knew that Ali Kemal had been lynched by a mob in the 1920s, but didn’t really know anything about the context of his life and death.

I have noticed Amol Rajan’s latest technique in his interviewing of those not on the left of British politics.

Those on the left get soft-ball questions and a free pass when it comes to making what are effectively party political speeches, rather than answering questions – and I include tame Beeboid comrades, as well as Union leaders – often still carefully disguised by the BBC – particularly in the Health Service – as ‘Royal Colleges of’, ‘Institutions of ‘, etc.

On the other hand, Amol’s ploy for those on the right is quite different. For them, he starts off by making what is effectively an activist speech, calling on all sorts of ‘sources’, and making claims about those on the right, none of which he substantiates, then veers off and asks a totally different question. If a right-wing politiican dares to call him to account for his initial mini-speech, he over-rides them by claiming that they are not answering the question he asked, then basically, washes, rinses, repeats, throughout the interview, culminating in a further series of claims to which the interviewee is not allowed to respond (he probably learned that ploy from ‘Toenails’).

This inevitably means that during the duration of the ‘interview’ Amol actually consumes more time with his activist mini-speechest than the interviewee is given, who has never been allowed to challenge Amol’s claims, and who is fundamentally accused of avoiding questions.

And – regarding Amol – has anyone ever noticed that he is prone to irritatingly reading whole paragraphs from his newspapers/reporters of choice, and races so quickly through these, he becomes almost incoherent, so that the only things that can be discerned are those political points Amol chooses to emphasise ? But then, I guess that is all that should be expected of someone who followed up a former editorship of the Independent newspaper (which is anything but ‘independent’) with a long stint at the BBC.

TWatO Watch #1 – the preview of a melting snowflake, quite explosive really

Prior to the 1 p.m. news, there was a weather forecast from Chris Fawkes. Fawkes by name, Fawkes by nature. Chris claimed explosively that thousands could die on Monday and Tuesday next week because of the heat. This claim was repeated by Ed Stourton presenting, (the Montacutie doesn’t do Fridays) on TWatO with Chris making a guest appearance to call Stourton, “Edward”.

Sweet. But only Mrs Stourton Sr calls Ed Edward.

I have heard this sort of claim – deaths of thousands – before, most notably in 2018 and 2003 although 2006, apparently, was quite a good summer. I do recall it eventually stopped being cold, grey and wet here in mid-2005. I don’t recall summer 2006 being blistering but it may have been consistently good. Mind you anything would have been after 2004/2005.

When I check Fawkes claim, I find it is probably a massive exaggeration. There’s a surprise. It is estimated that excess deaths due to the heat in 2018 may have been as high as 650 but Wiki (usual disclaimers – may not be accurate, anyone can or could update Wiki, etc) states no figure for causes of possible excess deaths has been verified. What of course usually happens is that some young people drink too much alcohol, get drunk and feel hot and then go and jump in a river or the sea and die for some reason.

The BBC then report those deaths with relish, blaming man-made fossil fuel global warming and not investigating that the river a drunken youngster went into head first, was full of boulders on the bed and had only three feet of water at that spot, or similar sort of tragedy.

The story behind the BBC’s explosive 2019 interview with Prince Andrew is being turned into a feature film.

The Newsnight interview, in which the prince talked about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, made headlines around the world.

The movie, called Scoop, will dramatise how the show secured the interview, as well as the filming of it.

Ukraine conflict: Liz Truss backs people from UK who want to fight
      https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60544838
Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has said she supports individuals from the UK who might want to go to Ukraine to join an international force to fight.

She told the BBC it was up to people to make their own decisions, but argued it was a battle “for democracy”.

She said Ukrainians were fighting for freedom, “not just for Ukraine but for the whole of Europe”.

    PMQs …

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. (Boris Johnson)

But it cannot survive treason from within.(Theresa May)

An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. (Anjem Choudary)

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.(Jeremy Corbyn)

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

Oh gawd … I thought for a while that Truss wasn’t that bad…

“this way to the meat grinder”

If you are curious about what’s going on in eastern Ukraine and around the area generally – have a listen to Justin Bronk of RUSI.

    – and draw your own conclusions – I certainly had some misconceived ideas zapped.

BBC enormous salaries justified! (Telegraph Letters)

The BBC’s wage bill for top talent has fallen by 1.5 per cent (“More BBC stars than ever in six-figure club”, report, July 13). In the previous year we cut our overall spend on on-air talent by 10 per cent, and this is stable year-on-year.

Costs for on-air talent represent just 4 per cent of what we spend on content, with 95 per cent of spending – the overwhelming majority – going towards content and delivery. We are acutely aware of operating efficiently and ensuring value for money, which is why we have made more than £1 billion of savings in the past five years.

The BBC operates in a highly competitive market, subject to inflation, and pays considerably less than commercial rivals – but audiences still want to see top talent on the BBC.

    Leigh Tavaziva
    Group Chief Operating Officer, BBC

    Comment:
Yes we do want to see Top Talent (but why is it never on the BBC and why do they pay even more ‘off premises’ via BBC Studios to make it appear lower than competitors. We are we never told about actual (not PAYE) level of pay is actually far higher than publicaly quoted and recently published in BBC accounts. Far higher than any other news UK organisation.

    BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – I wouldn’t say the BBC are being devious …

…… but there is something going on. Here’s the BBC’s excuse:
” Note: We have removed the lookup and interactive map that had been on this page previously. This is because of a combination of reduced testing, changes to the rules on when tests are taken and changes to the data available from the government coronavirus dashboard. ” The BBC are now able to claim that Covid-19 cases are rising by a massive 30% in the past week. That is based on ‘sampling’ done by the ONS using the Lateral Flow test.

There’s no way for us to monitor the situation, because the Look-up has disappeared and now the Regional Map for the whole UK has gone as well. The big question is why are the ONS and the BBC breaking the first rule of statistical gathering? Is there a motive behind it?
