Midweek 17 August 2022

Unpleasantness at the BBC . Staff are threatening to strike over the merger of 1 BBC propaganda News channel with another .There’s a petition to save it. At the time of posting this it has 2700 signatures in 48 hours .( There is also a petition to save Channel 4 from being sold – there millions of signatures – actually 9300… with 5800 in 4 months on the parliament site .).Any dissent within the BBC must be welcomed and encouraged – it’s a long battle to kill it – but we will .

Isuspect that the first thing many of you thought when you heard that a 14-year-old boy, Jaden Moodie, had been knocked off his moped and stabbed to death in east London — the first thing after the wave of utter revulsion and pity at a young life wiped out — was: what is a kid of that age doing out at night illegally riding a moped?

In the United Kingdom, a DSMA-Notice (Defence and Security Media Advisory Notice) is an official request to news editors not to publish or broadcast items on specified subjects for reasons of national security. The Joint Biosecurity Centre (JBC) is a body which seeks to advise the UK government on the Chinese bioweapon attack called COVID-19 and the misinformation criticising the effectiveness of the covid vaccines, and the disinformation from people claiming that a relative has been killed by the vaccine. The body has been part of the UK Health Security Agency since the establishment of that agency on 1 April 2021. Only GB News is defying the DSMA-Notice, and therefore is facing enforced censorship by OFCOM.

Here is a trigger warning, that those of a delicate dietary disposition might find the following distateful !

It would appear certain food processors are surreptitiously adding insect protein to foodstuffs without the knowledge of the buyers. It’s there on the ingredients list of course because it has to be by law, and fortunately for us there is a possible allergy issue so a warning has to be included, but it’s not there on the front of the pack – the only way you are going to know they are including this is if you check the ingredients on the back, and they might well attempt to disguise what it is by using the latin names of the insects used.

Rushdie attack: Loud silence today echoes Parliament’s muted stand over years on Satanic Verses ban

This is just ridiculous. The BBC have reached the same level as the Democrats over the pond where they are now so sure nobody in the media will hold them to account, they just do whatever they like with a big ‘F*ck you’ to anyone who doesn’t like it.

It’s no different from a 3rd world corrupt dictatorship. Right and Wrong don’t count any more. Any sense of democracy and ‘will of the people’ is dead and buried.

      Harry – thanks .
I don’t like Khan – but he has a bit of a point on linking violence to the climate – as well – of course to the other factors such as longer days .

I spent too much time trying to figure out the causes of crime – along with the rest of the criminological industry .

I could fill this blog with crime stats related stuff but as a born and bred londoner I know the place is more dangerous than – say – 20 years ago – and I think the threshold for serious violence is much lower now …..

More importantly we are going to experience an ‘uptick ‘in crime as the economy tanks – and people like Khan will blame the tories for it – as opposed to those kids – animals – who do the crime ….
I just got one of those Amazon security cameras – ring? And got to say – easy to set up – easy to use – but just a comfort blanket ….

I concur Fed. I’ve always said that we’ve been fortunate in this country to have a temperate climate. Most of the violet riots / protests are usually seen in ‘hot’ places around the world. Nobody wants to get involved in fisticuffs when its peeing down with rain or its below 10 deg and not so easy in quilted jackets. Any rioting of any note here has not taken place in the depths of winter. 1981 the Brixton riots were in April. In 2011 when London, Birmingham, Liverpool, were under siege it was the middle of August. The Croydon rioting was in July.

That said, its not good enough for Khan to dismiss the crime wave on ‘the weather’.

Why is the BBC not powered by Windmills?

The boss of Octopus Energy has been forced to explain why its customers’ energy bills are going up, even though the power supplied is ‘100 per cent renewable’.
He tries to explain why 100%r renewable is NOT what it seems. Even the Green zealots who signed up for ‘cheap free energy’ find its all based on the price of Gas.

    https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-11102967/Octopus-Energy-raises-renewable-energy-tariffs-blaming-outdated-market-rising-gas-prices.html#newcomment

History bites back. Its all based on the price of gas!
The UK had to be totally converted to North Sea Gas (from Coal Gas). It was so much cheaper than Coal Gas. Natural gas does not have to be ‘made’ or loose its efficiency (power) over distance (Electricity tend to lose energy at both ends (Conversion upping the voltage over Pylons for transmission and down voltage via locality. Gas was made to appear ‘comparable’ to COSTLY electricity production (and remains a ot cheaper than using either Solar or Windmills). Take away Natural Gas and the cost of such ‘green’ electricity is exposed. Its also impossible to live on Net Zero CO2*

*Making batteries or wind turbines create vast amounts of C02 – (as does all concrete and food production and cooking of any kind). Octopus energy (Government bail out) expose its fallacy for what it is. A discount store selling an expensive green dream, but using the exact same stock, as it now admits, its all based on the supply of gas. The BBC does not disclose its energy bill but it will try to claim its also Net Zero, when in fact (as Octopus has had to state) its all in the mind of the punter. The power of suggestion over forty year of Apocalypse prediction and false appraisal of GREEN renewable, they don’t use themselves – as its an impossibility to run any business or public funded corporation on net zero compliance, (except on ‘paper’ called ‘offsetting’). And even that itself is false as its based on CO2 being TOXIC (which it isn’t). It pretend to save the Amazon rain forest in the same way that (GM foods inc.) SOYA beans somehow save the planet by being VEGAN! Its the same

We are now in energy crisis due to the BBC claims that are misleading. We are still highly reliant on Gas for at least the next 20 years. Just as the BBC needs its electricity supply, which they do not own (never will) the means of production either. Just claim (by ordination) to be ‘energy’ experts (unproven) – just like the EU claim to have had cheap Russian gas on tap, so they can appear to be GREEN as its ‘pure’ and helps the comrades.

Dig it out of the ground and then use it to fire up a power station to make electricity. Independent of world energy prices.

‘But how can you stop people remembering things?’ cried Winston again momentarily forgetting the dial. ‘It is involuntary. It is outside oneself. How can you control memory? You have not controlled mine!’

O’Brien’s manner grew stern again. He laid his hand on the dial.

‘On the contrary,’ he said, ‘you have not controlled it. That is what has brought you here. You are here because you have failed in humility, in self-discipline. You would not make the act of submission which is the price of sanity. You preferred to be a lunatic, a minority of one. Only the disciplined mind can see reality, Winston. You believe that reality is something objective, external, existing in its own right. You also believe that the nature of reality is self-evident. When you delude yourself into thinking that you see something, you assume that everyone else sees the same thing as you. But I tell you, Winston, that reality is not external. Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else. Not in the individual mind, which can make mistakes, and in any case soon perishes: only in the mind of the Party, which is collective and immortal. Whatever the Party holds to be the truth, is truth. It is impossible to see reality except by looking through the eyes of the Party. That is the fact that you have got to relearn, Winston. It needs an act of self-destruction, an effort of the will. You must humble yourself before you can become sane.’

He paused for a few moments, as though to allow what he had been saying to sink in.

‘Do you remember,’ he went on, ‘writing in your diary, “Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four”?’

      ‘Yes,’ said Winston.

O’Brien held up his left hand, its back towards Winston, with the thumb hidden and the four fingers extended.

‘How many fingers am I holding up, Winston?’

      ‘Four.’

‘And if the party says that it is not four but five — then how many?’

      ‘Four.’

The word ended in a gasp of pain. The needle of the dial had shot up to fifty-five. The sweat had sprung out all over Winston’s body. The air tore into his lungs and issued again in deep groans which even by clenching his teeth he could not stop. O’Brien watched him, the four fingers still extended. He drew back the lever. This time the pain was only slightly eased.

      ‘How many fingers, Winston?’

      ‘Four.’

The needle went up to sixty.

      ‘How many fingers, Winston?’

‘Four! Four! What else can I say? Four!’

The needle must have risen again, but he did not look at it. The heavy, stern face and the four fingers filled his vision. The fingers stood up before his eyes like pillars, enormous, blurry, and seeming to vibrate, but unmistakably four.

      ‘How many fingers, Winston?’

‘Four! Stop it, stop it! How can you go on? Four! Four!’

      ‘How many fingers, Winston?’

      ‘Five! Five! Five!’

‘No, Winston, that is no use. You are lying. You still think there are four. How many fingers, please?’

‘Four! five! Four! Anything you like. Only stop it, stop the pain!’

GB News Mark White’s report from the French Coast on the migrant trade. He came across a group of Eritreans (2 mins 50 secs in) waiting an opportunity to cross, looks to be about 5 of them, drinking Jack Daniels and smoking cannabis, their only English seemed to consist of “U.K.”.

Cannot wait for them to arrive at Dover so they can enrich our nation by finding work and repaying our hospitality and freeing them from whatever terrible persecution they were having to endure in their own Country. They must be really keen to show their gratitude by contributing some much needed income tax and national insurance revenue in return.

A boat full of migrants lands at a popular tourist beach in southern Spain – BBC News
      175,224 views10 Aug 2017

      …………………………

The immigrants make their way north, having no desire to assimilate to French culture, but continuing to demand a First World standard of living, even as they flout laws, do not produce, and murder French citizens, such as factory bosses and shopkeepers, as well as the ordinary people who do not welcome them. They are also joined by the immigrants who already reside in Europe, as well as various left-wing and anarchist groups. Across the West, more and more migrants arrive and have children, rapidly growing to outnumber whites. In a matter of months, the white West has been overrun and pro-immigrant governments have been established, while the white people are ordered to share their houses and flats with the immigrants. The village containing the troops is bombed flat by airplanes of the new French government, referred to only as the “Paris Multiracial Commune”. Within a few years, most Western governments have surrendered. The mayor of New York City is made to share Gracie Mansion with three African-American families from Harlem; migrants gather at coastal ports in West Africa and South Asia and swarm into Europe, Australia, and New Zealand; London is taken over by an organization of non-white residents known as the “Non-European Commonwealth Committee”, who force the British queen to have her son marry a Pakistani woman; millions of black Africans from around the continent gather at the Limpopo River and invade South Africa; and only one drunken Soviet soldier stands in the way of hundreds of thousands of Chinese peasants as they overrun Siberia.

The epilogue reveals that the story was written in the last holdout of the Western world, Switzerland, but international pressure from the new governments, isolating it as a rogue state for not opening its borders, along with internal pro-migrant elements, force it to capitulate as well. Mere hours from the border opening, the author dedicates the book to his grandchildren, in the hopes they will grow up in a world where they will not be ashamed of him for writing such a book.

Stop all illegal immigration now and throw out all the illegal bogus asylum seekers and any foreigners that commit crime .

There , that reduces the population by at least 10 million and therefore the infrastructure is adequate for the job . The money saved on housing bogus asylum seekers in hotels can be used to repair where the leaks are .

The appalling BBC reporting of the Ukraine conflict would be funny if the subject wasn’t so deadly serious. People are being led into WW3 on the basis of complete lies.

    Today they tell us:

Maj Gen Marchenko says that in just two weeks Ukrainian armed forces have destroyed “more than 20 ammunition depots [in Kherson region], lots of command and control centres and other targets, including strategically important bridges”.

It reminds me of Blackadder where he had to go to the front line with George and paint the enemy positions. He decided it was too dangerous and so got George to paint it from his imagination. When quizzed about it he said:

‘Perhaps there were a few less elephants and a few more armament factories’.

Meanwhile the truth of the matter is that Russia are advancing very slowly in the East behind huge artillery bombardments in a war of attrition while the hyped up counter offensive by Ukraine hardly made any gains at all before it failed.

And in the latest news we are supposed to believe the Russians have rigged the nuclear power station with explosives to blow it up. Absolute and complete rubbish only gullible idiots would believe.

I am absolutely stunned by how we are lied to these days. I will assume it has always been the case – but the advent of the internet allows those who want to know something of the truth to find it.

The pilots managed to land the plane safely and it stayed on the runway for around two-and-a-half hours before it left for its next flight.

No picture and no links to earlier articles where it had the picture.

Sabah Razak said parents felt “frightened” as their children walked home from school and would ring their child to check they were ok.

Another resident, Naqib Yahya, asked: “Why’s it take someone to be stabbed to have extra patrols?”

Nerdy girly Britain is universitally challenged serendipitous edition

It’s become something of a cliché but our media still persist in the notion that their annual A-level results day photography session has to look as girly as possible. Think of it as the modern day equivalent of those quaint long-redundant coming out debutante presentation parades.

Our BBC is the bastion of the role model theory of achievement, where the rather appropriately named Ellie Cleverley, BBC Newsbeat reporter, advises: What to do if your grades aren’t what you wanted – and to be fair to the Beeb their first photo in the online article (care of Getty Images) includes a couple of spotty lads besides the girls. Equilibrium goes out of the window in the second pic – which is what you might call a female only space (care of Getty Images) – the soap opera and female-centric sense of this newfound annual ritual is nicely captured in the BBC caption: rollercoaster of emotions

    You can’t just blame the BBC – it’s a media-wide cultural thing.

The left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper’s World feature presents: Finland PM fights for her right to party – were Boris Johnson, victim of Partygate, dead – rather than just on holiday – he would have just turned in his grave – and if the likes of Vladimir Putin and his generals have seen the same video we have it has to confirm the fact that our western political elite is a laughable pushover: Work hard, party hard: Finland’s Sanna Marin faces backlash after leaked dancing video… Of all the EU leaders to party with, you’d probably have the most fun with Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin – observes the left-leaning Politico – they seem to forget Silvio Berlusconi’s bunga bunga parties.

The right-leaning Neo-Con Forever-War promoting Daily Express United with the people of Ukraine – presents a trio of ludicrously posed young white ladies supposedly having just opened their fabulously exciting exam result envelopes: The A Team 425,000 now bound for univeristy A-Team? – I don’t see any B A Baracus or “Howlin’ Mad” Murdock – More like Charlie’s Angels pre-diversity make-over.

The Telegraph likewise goes girly with a rather better class of young fillies: Pupils celebrate their A-Level results yesterday at Norwich School, a selective independent day school

The Daily Mail spares us the frontpage nerdy girly photography hurdy-gurdy and instead does some journalism: 43,000 scrambling for place at university Highest number for decade face Clearing frenzy amid post-Covid grades crackdown and huge rise in foreign student numbers

The formerly patriotic Times: Overseas hiring spree to rescue care homes, likewise has its phographer out in the shires, balancing the sexes and naming names: Francesca Basso and James Elliott, of Bedford Academy

For super ethnic diversity (all female) with an extra large dollop of cause for concern to moan about, we of course turn to the Guardian: Top A-level grades fall as regional gap widens – their report authored by the somewhat over-manned (so to speak) trio of Sally Weale, Pamela Duncan and Rachel Hall (“beautiful British names” as the comic Al Murray, the pub landlord, is wont to remark)

The Guardian photographer even found a hijab amoung the five female, majority minority ethnic, A-level celebrants with: Well-earned results at Whalley Range high school in Manchester – of course he did.

One has to say, the Guardian girls and the Times female student do look to be common or garden genuine A-level nerdy girl material – as opposed to the Express and Telegraph dolly bird models – who appear to have spent more time on their hair and makeup for the photo op than they did revising.

As I say, it’s all become a media cliché. But one can’t escape the meanings of these images and the obvious cultural shift. There are real world consequences… and here’s a moment to consider a little anecdote – passing hoardings around a building site in the capital recently one notices the London Borough of Southwark trumpeting the construction of x number of new council flats – and judging by the pictures of the prospective happy new tennants pictured on those hoardings – none of them white.

Speaking of foreign students… By last year, this had risen to 23 per cent — meaning that, effectively, one in four students at British universities is now a foreign national – notices the Daily Mail – how many of them will ever want to return home?

Just as our seats of higher eduction turn foreign, so it is in the most happiest of serendipitous occurrances today we learn: New starter on University Challenge Amol Rajan to replace Paxman (‘i’) – how very appropriate.

At the most elite universities there was a 7 per cent rise in acceptances for international students (Daily Mail) – Oxbridge becomes another migration bridge?

What accounts for this huge surge? The answer is obvious. A British student pays perhaps £9,000 in annual fees to their university, but international students shell out £24,000 on average. (Daily Mail)

    Money-grubbing lefty universities, eh?

What has become of our country? – asks the Labour-supporting Daily Mirror as they splash with the story of: David Wakeley, 87, lay outside waiting for an ambulance, cold and in pain, for 15 HOURS – what amazes me is the left do certainly notice all the obvious failings of our NHS and Welfare State, yet they habitually reflexively call for ever more of it.

The Daily Telegraph notices: Lockdown feared to be killing more than Covid – Bravo! At long last a media editorial acknowledges the difference between the covid outbreak and Lockdown – the latter was the governmental response. The two are distinct and separate phenomena.

Note how the coronaphobic left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper today still can’t see the difference: Grades tumble in first exam year since pandemic – as teachers used to do, I’ll fetch my red marking pen and correct that: Grades tumble in first exam year since “Lockdown” – C minus – see me!

Answers are so obvious – to get more kids top grade A levels again do the teacher grading again – then every one wins .

It doesn’t matter what grade they get because their university place will be taken by a foreigner paying x3 more .

As for ambulances – if you get past the 9 minute wait for the 999 call to be answered – why not have a booking system ? – had a car crash ? Stabbed in a mobility scooter ? Just ask for the ‘priority ‘ booking system ….

Somehow I think NHS managers get their bonuses based on the number of punters dying in their hospital . So let them die in the ambulance or street – better for the performance indicators .

Increase the size of the Uk polpulation and demand on public services ….might rise a lot ?…

Story in the Telegraph today that GB News has secured substantial extra funding which will be used to increase its depth of coverage . The station has been steadily increasing its ratings and is easily outperforming Sky News and getting close to the BBC 24 hour news.
Interestingly the newspaper has in an entirely separate story reported that there are an increasing number of unexplained deaths in the UK and across much of the world, following lockdowns. It lists a wide range of possible causes but refrains from any mention of the Covid vaccines as being a possible causes. Of course GBN has been on this story for months and isn’t shy of considering Covid vaccines as a cause, nor of highlighting the corruption between so called fact checking organisations and Pfizer and the link between medicine regulatory bodies and big pharma. This last story is the proverbial bombshell and it’s non appearance in the MSM is proof of their corruption or of their fear.

People who grow the same handful of veg year after year, season after season moan that they don’t do as well as they ‘used to’… hardly surprising really, especially as they usually plant them in the same spot and don’t do anything to enrich the depleted soil.

The key (from all my three years of allotmenteering) is to plant lots of variety and to accept some won’t do well, so long as you plant plenty of variety it seems to me something else always will.
