Cost of Living Crisis (doesn’t it just roll off the tongue) update from Halifax.
Decided to take a “Lady Friend” of mine out to a resturaunt tonight. Tried 7 all booked up so ended up in a rather nice Italian which was packed by 18:30.
Now Halifax isn’t Hammersmith but it’s nice where I live but I see no evidence of people rolling it back in cost wise. Pubs full houses selling restaurant full to capacity most nights…..
So like climate change and racism in the UK this “Cost of Living Crisis” is a left wing mantra.
PS meal was £93 for 2 so mini crisis here as I don’t get paid till Monday.
Note to self: Select a dinning partner next time that drinks bitter !!!

Just watching SKY F1 apparently all the cameras on F1 cars are developed with UK technology and , are you sat down ?? A 50 + British bloke explained the technology behind it. So strange it wasn’t an Asian BME or women that explained it all. Looks like a white 50 + male Brit has managed to slip through the anti white Brit male censorship.

    While I’m on a roll.
Watched all Quiet on The Western Front on NETFLIX.
At last a film true to the original story without a BME LGBTQI narrative.
Watch it if you get chance the soundtrack is immersive.
For those of you into French WW1 tanks yes the running gear for the tracks was modern so obviously a conversion of a modern type but apart from that wholly accurate although I suspect the sewing machines used (watch it) were infact post WW1……god I hate being an engineer you just can’t watch somthing without getting into the detail lol

US Court Orders Depositions of Anthony Fauci, and Others
(Rememember when the BBC places COVID and lockdown to save the planet?). Well it was all false.

    ..
“With regard to Fauci”, the Court stated:

“After reviewing the Plaintiffs and the Defendants’ arguments, the Court finds that Plaintiffs have proven that Dr. Fauci has personal knowledge about the issue concerning censorship across social media as it related to COVID-19 and ancillary issues of COVID-19. BBC of course could NEVER report any of this. Not when you BBC – helped make it happen. Project fear. The end of the world project. Where Uncle Marx pops his head up and states he can fix it, ‘trust me – my name is Uncle Biden. This is the Climate of change. The end of your world…’

Even now some are still preparing for another lockdown this winter. The BBC are predicting an NHS meltdown (again) as the last failure didn’t work as expected. They must try harder next time.

BBCnews is often a mixture of theatre and PR
It has a very cosy relationship with PR
@GreedSpam has a long thread about his monitoring of a junk food corporation scam being promoted by the BBC
    .. https://www.twitter.com/GreedSpam/status/1429081437312102402
They created a product made out of rapeseed oil and named it Oatly , media compliantly kept referring to it as Oat Milk and “plant based food” and consistently
made out it’s better that actual milk.
.. You are not supposed to refer to non-dairy as “milk” and additionally oats are a secondary component.
As ever the company got bolshy and sued a little farmer about the name of his product even though his is really mostly oats.
    The corp lost in court

The BBC cannot undertake commercial activities directly, but must do so through commercial subsidiaries. In 2017-18, the BBC has four main commercial subsidiaries of varying size and complexity to manage its commercial activities – Worldwide, Studios, Global News and Studioworks.

      https://www.nao.org.uk/reports/the-bbcs-commercial-activities-a-landscape-review/

Almost all BBC paybacks are via third party companies then BBC also owns partly. So for US food corp the payment would be on Dollars and not be declared in the UK.

Its all legal. Its business. Mainly US business with Big Corps. It also stinks.

“Rishi Sunak, Jeremy Hunt and their senior advisers assembled in the Cabinet Room at 9.30am last Thursday for their first face-to-face meeting on the upcoming Autumn Statement. The new Prime Minister was immediately presented with a series of spreadsheets produced by Treasury officials. For a few minutes he studied the documents line by line.

Then he stopped, and looked up. ‘When I left the Treasury, there was a £30 billion surplus. Where is it?’ Sunak asked. One official shrugged. ‘It’s gone, Prime Minister.’

Those in the room were shocked – in particular Sunak, who had resigned as Chancellor just over 100 days earlier.

‘The mood was grim,’ a Government official told me. ‘Jeremy explained to Rishi that the £30 billion he’d left behind in July was eaten away by September. Then, a month later, it had become a £72 billion deficit. And even now, after the reversal of Kwasi Kwarteng’s mini-Budget, we’re looking at a £50 billion black hole.’

As Hunt took Sunak through the figures, the scale of the challenge facing them was laid bare. Three years ago, Britain was spending £40 billion on energy supplies. This weekend, it’s a staggering £180 billion, approximately ten per cent of GDP.

That sounds like a fairy story
Sunak was a spendthrift chancellor who seemed to borrow more each month than he had scheduled.

Talk of £30bn otherwise the books would have been flat sounds like BS.
What was Rishi’s old plan ? To give people £6K energy bills ?
He may have left 100 days ago but extra costs were already built in the £ had always been falling, interest rate rise was on the way energy prices had to be sorted
despite the influence of Truss supposedly spooking the markets

Markets which somehow not spooked by £trillions of mad green policy costs that were always in the governments schedule.

And for a real fairy fairy tale we look to the green party

To conserve natural planetary resources and to maintain the integrity of natural life-sustaining cycles; to regenerate areas made waste and take steps to avoid further ecological disaster; to reduce demand for energy and raw materials; to favour low energy non-polluting processes based on renewable resources.

EC201 To this end, Universal Basic Income (see EC730) will allow the current dependence on economic growth to cease, and allow zero or negative growth to be feasible without individual hardship should this be necessary on the grounds of sustainability.

          A great deal of economic activity worldwide is unaccounted for (and is largely performed by women), e.g. work in the home and community voluntary work. This work is essential to the survival of the wider economy, yet is unacknowledged by conventional economic theory and practice. Individual consumer choice can be exercised positively, in favour of environmentally and ethically sound products, and investment, including promotion of low-interest loans; negatively, as in consumer boycotts;

The objective of EC402 is to shift the balance of economic power in favour of individuals and households, and away from large scale, remote private companies and central government. It will make full-time paid employment less necessary, and will encourage home-based and part-time employment, and work in the ‘third sector’. People will be able to choose their own working lifestyles. The objective of EC403 is to enable people to meet their needs at the level most personal to them (the household sector being the smallest unit in any community) and to contribute more effectively through the informal economy to the wider community. A strong household sector, both informal and formal, will be resilient to fluctuations in the wider economy.

During that period if it got within £5 of going in the red I got a warning of being cut off. Once it was when the remote online reading differed from the in room display.

Currently our home supplier is trying to gouge hundreds a month based on an estimate of what we might owe in a year, whilst sitting on a grand already.

If the BBC were actually on the side of the poor people one might reasonably expect them to have addressed the iniquities of pre-payment electricity.

Given the ratcheting upwards of energy prices – some kind of infographics on a routine / regular basis detailing the rises with highest and lowest rates and regional variations is not an unreasonable expectation given their budget.

The BBC don’t do any even trivial surveying of energy costs and are absolutely complicit in the price gouging that’s going on.

In my regular sojourns around the US MSM the DNC narratives are plain as can be – we saw the direct line to the news producers and anchors exposed in the 2016 election – that hasn’t gone away – they are simply more careful about exposing *any* links.

Fox are reticent about demos as well – it’s very easy to assume that there is no dissent – my bellweather on opinion is looking at the placards and banners in the background and what shows up in comments on an assortment of tried and trusted comment threads around the place.

The Capitol thing was imho heavily influenced by domestic spooks + swampers and the lies, re-writing and twisting of events and the treatment of the victims … well – where is Ray Epps?

I’ve seen my share (more than most I’d guess) of public disturbances – all they way up to actual riots and the Capitol, thing, on the day (I watched quite a bit near live) hardly registered – chaotic yes – riot not so much. It struck me at the time that some peeps on the Democrat side were offering canned, rehearsed and prearranged commentary.

…..but then the theft … and just as importantly – the concerted cover up using the Capitol demo as a distraction .

This week is the first real opportunity American have to express their view – which is why I think it will be fixed again …
The turn out will be high – as much as 110% ..

The story about Nancy Pelosi’s husband has got me interested because I want to see just how desperate and dirty the Democrats will get as we near the mid-terms.

I discover today that it seems the nutter who attacked him didn’t bring the hammer himself and attack Pelosi. He was trying to tie him up when the police arrived and it looks like Pelosi tried to fight him with a hammer, lost it and got whacked by it.

Not excusing the idiot who did it of course – but it’s a chance for their mask to slip and we get to see their real ugly side.

Nancy is ‘heartbroken’ apparently. Which to me is something you only say when the victim is dead – not going to make a full recovery.

The attacker, a white man in a striped top, drove up to the centre in a white SEAT sports utility vehicle. He got out and threw three petrol bombs, one of which did not go off, the photographer said.

He then drove to a nearby petrol station, tied an improvised noose around his neck, attached it to a metal pole and drove off, killing himself, the photographer said.

He was offering to help Islamists infiltrate his agency’s (In April 2016, the man began working for the BfV, assigned to monitoring potentially violent Islamists in Germany.) defenses to stage a strike.

Agents lured him into a private chat, and he gave away so many details about the spy agency — and his own directives within it to thwart Islamists — that they quickly identified him, arresting the 51-year-old the next day. Only then would the extent of his double life become clear.

Meanwhile – public acceptance of this stuff is reducing …

BBC 7 a.m. Newswatch #1 – that narrows the supects down to two

Yet another attack on the Conservative Government. This time it is Lost Lil Liz. Is not removing her from office enough for you, BBC? Someone has hacker-d (something that Jim of Yes, Minister fame did not have to contend with, leaky phones) the former PM’s mobile phone, said by Jonny Dymond on 1 p.m. TWotWeeee to be Liz Truss’s personal phone. Do I detect a ‘BBC Scandal’ coming on? Might it push Suella Braverman ‘off the front page’ ?

According to the 7 a.m. News only two people knew about the hacking attempt, Simon Case, Civil Servant in charge of the Cabinet Office and the PM at the time, Boris Johnson. One cannot help but wonder whether that is why Case was sacked recently. Leaking stuff to the media? Of course, bumbling Boris might have blabbed, too.

Channel migrants: Smugglers claim boat shortages affecting crossings

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-63229010

Posing as a migrant with a pregnant wife and two year-old daughter, our reporter was told by a smuggler the price to reach the UK was £2,800 per person, “otherwise I won’t make any profit. I can’t do less.”
    ….

Theresa May The Secretary of State for the Home Department 12:37 pm, 20th April 2016
The first priority of government is the safety and security of its citizens, and the Government have always made the integrity of the UK border a priority. We will never compromise on keeping the people of this country safe from terrorism, criminality and illegal immigration.

Dover MP Natalie Elphicke told the Commons that the BBC’s “shocking report” contained the “breath-taking” disclosure of free French public bus services being used to ferry migrants from camps to Dunkirk beaches.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-63229010

    ….

Today the BBC journalists Michael Keohan and Colin Campbell released a shocking report on the channel crossings. It showed people smugglers selling their wares brazenly in the migrant camps and many children living in unsafe and dangerous conditions, as well as—this is breathtaking—a free French public bus service that migrants can use to travel directly from the camps to the Dunkirk departure beaches. Will my right hon. Friend allow a statement on the issue of tackling the small boat crossings and the Government’s response in their work with France?

Fees, financing your studies and scholarships
The amount of registration and tuition fees in national diplomas
There are no tuition fees at French public universities but there are modest registration fees because the State covers the majority of the cost of these education programs provided in public establishments. The real cost of studies is the same as elsewhere in the world, approximately € 10,000 per year.

Students from outside the European Union will be able to benefit from a partial exemption from registration fees for the start of the 2022-2023 academic year in accordance with the favorable decision of the Sorbonne University Board of Directors on June 7th, 2022.

Do you need to speak French to go to Sorbonne?
Before coming to study in France, it is important to have a sufficient level in French, (written and oral). Please note, that most of our courses are held in French. It is therefore strongly recommended that you reinforce your French language skills before your join Sorbonne University.29 Jun 2020
